Companies Using SpamTitan

An email security page built from DNS is usually a history lesson, because verification records outlive the service. SpamTitan's isn't. The signal is the MX record, the setting that tells the world where to deliver a domain's mail, and a company that stops paying for a filter has to change it or lose its email. Our October 2026 crawl finds 1,740 domains with SpamTitan in that record, and we matched 1,451 of them to a company. I read them from the sales side: who the companies are, and who runs the filter for them.

The count is current

On 15 October 2026 we checked the MX record of the 1,715 live domains we could look up. 1,697 (98.95%) still pointed at SpamTitan. In a random 50, all 50 did, though one lookup needed a second try. Of the 18 that had moved, 10 now deliver straight to Microsoft 365 and one goes to Mimecast. For a technographic list that is about as fresh as it gets.

Sales signal: treat this list as present tense. If a domain is on it, its inbound mail runs through SpamTitan today, and whoever manages that record is the person to talk to.

A flat line, not a growth story

Monthly counts since June sit between 1,604 and 1,744, ending at 1,740. I wouldn't read a trend into that. The domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection widens, so a few dozen domains either way is noise. The exits we can count are few: 128 domains dropped SpamTitan since we began tracking on 17 March 2026, and 4 of those still use it on another hostname.

Sales signal: SpamTitan is a stable, small installed base rather than a fast-growing one. Expect sticky customers who renew through their IT provider.

Small, old firms with an outside IT provider

The buyers are small: 38.41% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff and 34.05% have 11 to 50. They are also old for their size. 55.26% were founded before 2000 and 10.96% before 1960, so the list reads like a regional business directory: Red Devil (1872), H.J. Langdon (1852), Uwajimaya (1928), Dorothy Lane Market, Superlo Foods. The larger names are mid-market rather than enterprise: Nikki Beach, Gencor Industries, Mirvish Productions, Uganda's National Social Security Fund. Only 19 matched companies employ more than 1,000 people. I didn't use a vendor customer list here; every name on this page comes from the MX record.

Firms like these rarely choose a spam filter themselves. SpamTitan's own site describes the product as built for organisations, schools and MSPs, and since June 2025 TitanHQ has been part of CyberSentriq, the MSP-focused company Bregal Milestone formed by buying TitanHQ and merging it with Redstor. 46 domains point at MX hosts named for one reseller partner (giacom1 and giacom2.spamtitan.com), 2.68% of the base. Most MSP clients share SpamTitan's standard cloud hosts, so the reseller layer is mostly invisible in DNS.

Sales signal: for a security or IT vendor, the decision-maker behind many of these domains is the MSP. Selling to the provider can move dozens of these accounts at once.

Ireland, the vendor's home market

The United States has 740 matched companies, the United Kingdom 257, Canada 92 and Ireland 76, more than Australia (39) and Germany (27) combined. That fits the vendor: TitanHQ is a trading name of Copperfasten Technologies, registered in the Republic of Ireland. Irish names on the list include TG4 and Shaws. Industry is spread thin. Construction leads at 5.79%, then IT services (4.29%), hospitals and health care (3.23%), real estate (3.23%) and retail (3.16%). Accounting and insurance both make the top ten, professions where a spoofed payment request does real damage.

Sales signal: outside the US, the UK and Ireland are where SpamTitan has density. Industry is a weak filter for this list; company size and region work better.

Switching: overlaps, not flows

The switching table on this page is empty, and I'd rather say so than stretch a handful of domains. What we can show is overlap. Today 11 domains list both SpamTitan and Sophos in DNS, 3 have the Proofpoint Essentials host, 2 Barracuda and 1 Mimecast. Over the whole tracking period, 15 domains have shown SpamTitan and Sophos together and 9 SpamTitan and Mimecast. That is too few domains to show a direction.

Sales signal: a competing gateway wins these accounts at renewal, through the MSP, not through a long side-by-side trial.

Microsoft 365 behind the filter

Our Microsoft 365 detection shows on only 13.7% of SpamTitan's 1,715 live domains, but the SPF records say more. On 15 October, 1,082 (63.09%) authorised Microsoft 365 to send their mail, while Google Workspace's SPF entry appeared on only 70. So the usual setup is SpamTitan in front of Microsoft 365, which matches how TitanHQ sells it, as a filter to supplement Office 365's own. 318 domains (18.54%) also send outbound mail through TitanHQ's relay, and 30 publish an EncryptTitan record, TitanHQ's email encryption. The websites are ordinary small-business sites: WordPress on 50.85%, Google Analytics on 57.43%, GoDaddy hosting on 23.44%.

Sales signal: most of these companies already pay for Microsoft 365, and some for a second TitanHQ product. Anything sold as a Microsoft 365 add-on has an easy opening here.

What TitanHQ says, and what we see

TitanHQ's pricing guide (last updated 2 December 2025) says SpamTitan "starts at $1.95 per person per month", and its Mimecast comparison (updated 10 April 2026) sells it on ease of use and cost against Mimecast. Our numbers fit that pitch. Mimecast has 72,817 domains in our crawl, Proofpoint 56,902 and Sophos 49,072, while SpamTitan's 1,740 skew small and old. Its 0.23% share of Email Security puts it 10th of 12, a niche brand with a clear buyer.

Sales signal: price-sensitive small businesses on Microsoft 365 are SpamTitan's ground. A rival that wants them needs an MSP-friendly price, not an enterprise feature list.
