Companies Using Elementor
Our crawl finds 3,081,761 live sites running Elementor. For scale, that is more than Wix (1,298,903) and Squarespace (1,018,293) combined, and it sits on top of WordPress rather than competing with it.
We matched 2,072,885 of those sites to company records, a 67.3% match rate. The profile that comes back is small, local and physical: 64.23% employ ten people or fewer, and Construction is the single largest industry at 4.52%.
Elementor is also the most geographically even builder we track. The United States is only 19.5% of enriched sites, with Brazil second on 8.25%. Almost every other platform in this category is twice as American.

Elementor Usage Statistics
Elementor enters our detection history in June 2017 on 489 sites, about a year after launch, and climbs without a single meaningful pause. It passed a million sites in early 2024 and reached 1,554,208 by April 2025, the last clean month in our long-run feed. Two cautions. The decline after April 2025 is that feed narrowing its own coverage rather than sites removing the plugin, which you can see because the total domain count falls in step with the active one. And the series changes measurement system between 2025 and 2026, so read the step across that gap as coverage rather than a year of growth.

There are 3,081,761 companies and websites using Elementor, sign up to download the entire Elementor dataset.
Larger organisations with Elementor somewhere in their estate include Concentrix, Vodafone, Kroger, Atento, Alorica and 7-Eleven. Detection is per domain, so these are usually campaign, regional or recruitment sites rather than the main corporate property. That pattern is normal for a page builder and worth reading carefully before treating a brand name as a reference customer.
Which Countries Use Elementor the Most?
Which countries use Elementor the most? The United States leads on only 19.5%, which is the lowest US concentration of any major builder we track. Brazil is second at 8.25%, then India (6.41%), Germany (6.19%), the United Kingdom (6.04%), Spain (5.01%) and France (4.93%). A free tier and heavy localisation produce a genuinely global base rather than an American one with an export tail.
Elementor Market Share Among CMS & Website Builders
Elementor does not carry a market share percentage here, and that is deliberate. Our category market share for CMS and website builders measures platforms, and Elementor is a plugin that runs on one of them. Ranking it against WordPress would double count the same site. For scale: its 3,081,761 sites exceed Wix and Squarespace combined, and are roughly a third of the 9,555,391 WordPress installs we detect.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Elementor Customers by Company Size & Age
64.23% of Elementor sites belong to companies with ten staff or fewer and 23.7% to companies with 11 to 50, from 2,072,885 enriched companies. Only 2.52% employ more than 200. Vodafone, Kroger and 7-Eleven appear in our top 50, but they are running campaign or regional sites on it rather than their primary web estate.

What Industries Use Elementor the Most?
Construction leads at 4.52%, ahead of Business Consulting (3.97%), IT Services (3.96%) and Advertising Services (3.54%). A construction firm at the top of a website-builder list tells you what this tool is for: local businesses that need a credible brochure site, built once by an agency or a founder, and rarely touched again.
The tail is more instructive than the head. Real estate, health and wellness, restaurants and legal services all appear at similar weight, and none of them are digital-native categories. Advertising Services at 3.54% is the agency layer that builds for all the others, which is why Elementor's growth and WordPress agency work move together.
Elementor Alternatives & Competitors
Elementor's real competition is not the platform list, it is the other WordPress builders. Against the hosted platforms it wins comfortably on volume: 3,081,761 sites against Wix on 1,298,903 and Squarespace on 1,018,293. The category table above shows the platforms those sites would move to if they left WordPress altogether, which is a different and much rarer decision.

Elementor Customer Migration
The biggest single corridor is internal to WordPress: 2,288 sites arrived from Divi, the main rival theme and builder, and that flow is close to one way. Against the hosted platforms Elementor is net positive with Wix (1,809 in, 1,016 out) and roughly level with Squarespace (725 in, 669 out). Webflow is the exception and runs against it, taking 844 sites and sending back 418, which fits Webflow's pull on design-led work.

Tech Stack of Elementor-Powered Websites
Based on a 100,000-site sample, WordPress appears on 66.85%, with jQuery (64.64%), core-js (58.66%) and jQuery UI (57.69%) close behind. Every Elementor site is a WordPress site by construction, so that 66.85% is really a measure of how often WordPress leaves a detectable fingerprint, not of how many Elementor sites run it. WooCommerce at 14.68% is the meaningful number: roughly one Elementor site in seven also sells.

Expert Analysis: Elementor Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elementor gave us something rare while we were building this page: a population where we already know the right answer, and can therefore grade our own detection against it.
Every Elementor site is a WordPress site. That is not an estimate, it is a property of the product, since the plugin cannot install anywhere else. So when we measure how often WordPress is detected on our 3,081,761 Elementor domains, we are not measuring WordPress adoption. We are measuring our own recall.
The answer came back at 66.85%.
What a known-truth subset tells you
Roughly one Elementor site in three does not trip our WordPress signature, even though it is certainly WordPress. Sites hide the generator meta tag, rename asset directories, sit behind aggressive caching layers, or serve pages that never expose the paths we look for. None of that is exotic; a fair amount of it ships as a default in security plugins.
Co-occurrence measures joint detection, not joint truth. Elementor is the rare case where we know the truth independently, so the gap between them is not noise, it is our own miss rate.
The obvious next thought is that our WordPress count of 9,555,391 is understated by a similar margin. I want to be careful there. Elementor sites are not a random sample of WordPress: they are page-built, often agency-made, and plausibly more likely than average to run the caching and hardening plugins that strip WordPress fingerprints. So 66.85% is a measured recall on this subpopulation, and it is evidence that our WordPress number is a floor rather than a ceiling. It is not a licence to multiply the global figure by 1.5, and we have not done that anywhere on this site.
The practical consequence is a rule we now apply generally at TechnologyChecker.io: when a plugin implies its host platform by construction, the co-occurrence rate is a recall estimate and should be reported as one, not written up as though a third of the sites were somehow running the plugin without the platform.
The customer nobody pictures
Ask someone to describe a website-builder customer and they will usually describe a startup. Our data describes a builder.
Construction is the largest single industry at 4.52%, ahead of business consulting on 3.97% and IT services on 3.96%. Below that sit real estate, health and wellness, restaurants and legal services, all at similar weight and none of them digital-native. 64.23% of these companies employ ten people or fewer.
That is a brochure-site market. Somebody needs a credible web presence, an agency or the founder builds it once, and it is rarely touched again. It explains why advertising services shows up at 3.54%: that is the layer doing the building for everyone else, which is why Elementor's fortunes and WordPress agency work move together.
The least American builder we track
The United States is only 19.5% of enriched Elementor sites. For comparison, most tools in this category sit somewhere north of forty. Brazil is second on 8.25%, then India on 6.41%, Germany 6.19%, the United Kingdom 6.04%, Spain 5.01% and France 4.93%.
A free tier plus serious localisation produces this shape. It also means Elementor's addressable base looks nothing like the one a US-centric competitor analysis would assume, and that emerging-market growth is not a future opportunity for this product, it is the current business.
Where the sites come from and where they go
The largest corridor we observed is not a platform switch at all. 2,288 sites moved from Divi to Elementor, with very little going back. Divi is the other major WordPress builder, so both ends of that move are WordPress sites and the decision is a rebuild rather than a migration.
Against the hosted platforms, Elementor is net positive with Wix (1,809 in against 1,016 out) and roughly level with Squarespace (725 in, 669 out). Webflow is the one competitor consistently taking more than it gives, at 844 out against 418 in. That is a small number against three million sites, but it is directionally clear and it points at the design-led end of the market rather than the local-business end.
One caution on all of those figures. Elementor churn is large in absolute terms, 147,000 domains observed dropping it, and only a few thousand of those land on an identifiable competitor. Most sites that stop running Elementor are not switching builders. They are going away, or being rebuilt into something we cannot attribute. Reading the migration table as the whole churn story would overstate how much of this is competitive.
Reading the chart
Elementor enters our history in June 2017 on 489 sites and climbs steadily to 1,554,208 by April 2025. The decline after that is our archive feed narrowing its coverage, visible because total domains fall in step with active ones, and the gap between 2025 and 2026 is where our measurement system changed. Neither is churn, and we label both rather than smoothing the line.
My summary: Elementor is the largest website-building tool almost nobody ranks, because it is a plugin and the category tables measure platforms. Three million sites, two thirds of them run by companies with fewer than ten staff, disproportionately outside the United States, and mostly building the kind of site that gets made once and left alone.
What this means if you are selling to these sites
An Elementor detection is a genuinely useful commercial signal, and it is worth being specific about why. It tells you the site is on WordPress, that somebody paid for or installed a page builder rather than hand-coding, and that the business is very likely small and local. That combination is far more informative than a WordPress detection on its own, which covers everything from a personal blog to a newspaper.
A plugin detection is often a sharper qualifier than a platform detection. WordPress tells you almost nothing about a business. WordPress plus a commercial page builder tells you who built the site and roughly what they spent.
The caveat is the one I keep returning to. Our 3,081,761 count is domains where the builder is detectable, and a third of them do not expose WordPress to us even though every one of them runs it. Detection is a floor in both directions here, so treat these figures as the minimum verified population rather than the whole market.

How old are companies that use Elementor?
The majority of Elementor customers were founded in the 2010s (38.36%), followed by the 2020s (25.19%), based on our analysis of 2,072,885 enriched companies. This suggests Elementor is most popular among relatively young companies.

How many websites use Elementor?
Our crawl detects Elementor on 3,081,761 live sites as of August 2026, and we matched 2,072,885 of them to company records. For scale, that is more sites than Wix and Squarespace combined, and roughly a third of all the WordPress installations we detect across the web. Roughly two thirds of those sites belong to companies employing ten people or fewer.
Is Elementor bigger than Wix or Squarespace?
By site count, yes. Elementor appears on 3,081,761 domains against Wix on 1,298,903 and Squarespace on 1,018,293. The comparison needs care though, because Wix and Squarespace are complete hosted platforms while Elementor is a plugin that runs on top of WordPress rather than replacing it. Counting sites rather than platforms is the only fair way to compare a plugin with a hosted product.
Do you need WordPress to use Elementor?
Yes. Elementor is a WordPress plugin, so every site running it is a WordPress site by definition. Our detection looks for the plugin's own asset paths and JavaScript, which only exist inside a WordPress installation. That makes an Elementor detection a reliable signal that WordPress is underneath, whether or not WordPress itself is detectable.
What kind of companies use Elementor?
Small and local ones. 64.23% of detected sites belong to companies employing ten people or fewer, and another 23.7% to companies with 11 to 50 staff. Construction is the largest single industry at 4.52%, followed by business consulting at 3.97% and IT services at 3.96%. Advertising services account for a further 3.54%, which is the agency layer building sites for all the rest.
Are sites switching from Divi to Elementor?
Yes, and it is the largest single migration corridor we can see. We watched 2,288 sites arrive at Elementor from Divi, the main rival WordPress theme and builder, with very little traffic in the opposite direction. Both products serve the same buyer, so a switch usually means a rebuild rather than a platform change.
Does Elementor lose sites to Webflow?
On balance, yes. Webflow took 844 sites from Elementor while sending back 418, so it wins roughly two for every one it gives up. That is the only competitor running consistently against Elementor in our data, and it fits Webflow's pull on design-led and agency-built projects. Against every other competitor we measured, Elementor is either net positive or roughly level.
How does Elementor compare with Wix for switching?
Elementor is net positive. We recorded 1,809 sites moving from Wix to Elementor and 1,016 moving from Elementor to Wix. Squarespace is close to even, with 725 arriving and 669 leaving. The volumes are modest because rebuilding a website is a bigger commitment than swapping a plugin. Rebuilding a site is a far bigger commitment than swapping a plugin, so these volumes stay modest.
What big companies use Elementor?
Concentrix, Vodafone, Kroger, Atento, Alorica and 7-Eleven all have Elementor somewhere in their web estate. Detection works per domain, so these are typically campaign, regional or recruitment sites rather than the primary corporate property, which is the normal pattern for a page builder at enterprise scale. Reading a brand name here as a full platform endorsement would overstate what the detection actually shows.
Do Elementor sites sell online?
About one in seven. WooCommerce appears on 14.68% of the Elementor sites in our sample, which is the clearest commercial signal in the stack data. The rest are brochure sites, which matches a customer base led by construction firms, consultancies and local service businesses rather than retailers. The remainder are brochure sites, which matches a base led by construction firms, consultancies and local service businesses.
When did Elementor start growing?
It enters our detection history in June 2017 on 489 sites, roughly a year after launch, and climbs without a meaningful pause from there. It passed a million sites in early 2024 and reached 1,554,208 by April 2025, the last clean month in our long-run feed, before our measurement system changed.
Why does the Elementor chart dip after April 2025?
That dip is a measurement artifact, not sites removing the plugin. Our long-run archive feed narrowed its own coverage in the months before it ended, which you can confirm because the total domain count falls in step with the active count. Read the 2025 tail as shrinking coverage rather than as churn.
Does Elementor have a market share percentage?
Not on this page, deliberately. Our category market share measures platforms, and Elementor is a plugin running on one of them, so ranking it beside WordPress would count the same site twice. We publish the raw site count instead, which is the number that can be compared without double counting.
Can I get a list of companies using Elementor?
Yes. This page ranks the largest by audience size, and TechnologyChecker.io holds the full set of 3,081,761 detected domains with company data attached where we could match it. The 2,072,885 enriched rows carry industry, headcount band, country and founding year for building targeted lists. Roughly a third of detected sites carry no company match, and those skew heavily toward one-person businesses.
