Companies Using Dart
Our October 2026 crawl finds Dart on 5,483 domains, and on the web, Dart nearly always means Flutter. 5,220 of them (95.2%) also load Flutter's web engine, and 2,886 were detected on a subdomain such as app., portal. or web. rather than on a homepage. That count is after we removed 269 dead, gambling and falsely matched domains, explained at the foot of this page. This is the list of companies that use Dart in the browser, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Wrike's sign-in page, OTP Bank's SingleMarket portal, Vodafone Idea's Vi Finance loan app and Hero MotoCorp's application form.
Dart is Google's open-source language, and its web compilers turn Dart code into JavaScript or WebAssembly, per dart.dev. That compiled file is what we detect. Dart ranks 5th of 13 in Programming Languages with 0.1% of the category, behind PHP, Java, CFML and Python. Those four are read from server headers and session cookies, so the table puts a browser-side signal next to server-side ones. Flutter apps installed from app stores, and Dart running on servers, don't reach a web crawl.

Dart Usage Statistics
Our chart has one point: 5,483 domains in October 2026. It starts there because October is the first month counted after removing dead, gambling and falsely matched domains, so earlier monthly totals aren't comparable. They mostly tracked our own reach anyway: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. Since we began tracking Dart on 16 March 2026, 1,036 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname; when we checked in mid-October, 59 of them still ran it on another one.

Which Countries Use Dart the Most?
Which countries use Dart the most? The United States, with 521 of the 3,188 matched companies, then India (358), Brazil (213), Germany (146), France (119) and the United Kingdom (114). India in second place is the number to notice. Several of the Indian names on our list are customer apps from brokers, lenders and insurers: Geojit's account-opening app, Ventura Securities' investing app, Generali Central Insurance's customer portal and Vodafone Idea's Vi Finance.
Share of the 3,188 Dart domains we matched to a company record — 58.1% of the 5,483 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Dart Market Share Among Programming Languages
What is Dart's market share? 0.1% of Programming Languages, 5th of the 13 rows we track, on 5,483 domains, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The table isn't like-for-like. PHP (5,317,281 domains), Java (90,494), CFML (20,265) and Python (6,438) are read from server headers and session cookies, while Dart is read from the compiled code a browser downloads. One domain can count for both: 509 Dart domains run PHP today and 32 run Java, which is a Flutter front end talking to a server, not a contest between them.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Dart Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Dart? Mostly very small ones. 63.53% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 20.93% have 11 to 50, which fits a language whose web footprint is young apps. There is a large-company tail too: 70 companies have more than 1,000 staff (47 at 1,001 to 5,000, 10 at 5,001 to 10,000 and 13 above that). The ones we opened run Dart on one customer-facing tool, such as Schunk's Control Center, Usha's service app or Tata Communications' career portal.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Half the matched companies with a known founding year, 50.24%, were founded in the 2020s, and another 32.93% in the 2010s, so 83.17% date from 2010 or later. The older companies on the list are institutions that built one new app rather than a new business: OTP Bank (founded 1949), Schunk (1945) and Usha (1935) all appear through a Flutter portal on a subdomain.
What Industries Use Dart the Most?
Software Development leads at 12.46%, followed by Technology, Information and Internet (9.04%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (6.54%), so 28.04% of matched companies sell software or IT. The fourth row is the one sellers should read: Financial Services at 5.33%, ahead of Education (2.73%) and Wellness and Fitness Services (2.17%), based on our enriched company data. Banking and Insurance sit in their own LinkedIn rows outside the top ten.
Banks using Dart include OTP Bank on its SingleMarket portal, CIB Bank on its internet banking site and Nations Trust Bank on its Nations Direct Commercial portal. Insurers on Dart include Pacífico Seguros, Generali Central Insurance, CIC Insurance in Kenya and South Africa's King Price. Telecom companies using Dart include Vodafone Idea, Vodacom Tanzania and Tata Communications, each on a single app subdomain.
Dart Alternatives & Competitors
None of the four languages above Dart in this table competes with it. PHP, Java, CFML and Python run on the server and we read them from headers and cookies; Dart here is front-end code compiled for the browser. They share domains instead: 509 Dart domains run PHP today (735 ever had both), 32 run Java and 6 run Python. A team choosing Dart for the web is choosing Flutter over a JavaScript framework, and Flutter's web loader is on 95.2% of the domains on this page.

Percentages here are of the 5,483 clean live Dart domains. Cloudflare sits in front of 33.1%, and the public CDNs below it, jsDelivr (22.63%), cdnjs (15.56%) and unpkg (10.3%), often serve Flutter plugins' web helpers: in our 16 October fetch, 313 of these domains loaded PDF.js from jsDelivr and 168 loaded Cropper.js from cdnjs. WordPress (16.74%) and Elementor (8.72%) are counted per domain, so a WordPress homepage next to a Flutter app on app. puts both on one domain. AngularDart is on 0.66%.

How We Counted Dart Users
A domain counts here if a page sets Dart's session cookie (DARTSESSID), exposes one of the runtime globals Dart's JavaScript compiler emits, or loads a script from a path segment named "dart". In practice the hit is almost always a Flutter web app: the compiled main.dart.js and Flutter's loader. The path-segment test also matches folders that have nothing to do with the language, so before computing anything we fetched all 5,752 domains that passed our for-sale and gambling title filter (8 of the 5,760 raw domains had already gone) and opened the ones without a visible marker in a browser.
We removed 269 domains. 148 no longer resolved in DNS. 44 were parked, suspended, error or placeholder pages. 42 were gambling lobbies, including 22 "KWG Game" lottery sites and 8 "FYT" betting sites that our title filter couldn't catch. 35 were false matches: 14 WordPress sites on a theme named "dart", 6 sites carrying the CodeMirror editor's Dart syntax file, 4 Asian TV channel sites whose Drupal ad module is named after DoubleClick's old DART system, and 11 with a CMS skin, template or folder called dart, among them the trucking firm Dart Transit's own website.
Every chart and table on this page uses the remaining 5,483. When we fetched them, 5,208 served a Flutter loader or compiled Dart file, 5,119 visibly in the HTML and 89 more once a browser ran the page. The other 275 didn't answer, blocked our fetcher or showed no Dart that day, and we left them in because a failed fetch doesn't prove a site has dropped it. Our Programming Languages category table uses this cleaned count too, so it lists Dart at 5,483, 5th of 13.
Expert Analysis: Dart Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I pulled Dart out of our October 2026 crawl to answer the question a seller would ask about any language row: when a domain shows Dart, what is running there? Less than the category label suggests. Our crawl finds Dart on 5,483 domains, and 3,188 of them match a company record, a 58.14% match rate. On the web, nearly every one of those hits is a Flutter app. That makes the Dart row less a language census than a list of companies that built a browser app with Google's UI toolkit.
What the signal catches
A domain counts when a page sets Dart's session cookie, exposes one of the runtime globals that Dart's JavaScript compiler emits, or loads a script from a path segment named "dart". In practice the compiled file Flutter ships, main.dart.js, is what turns up (our technology detection methods post explains how such rules are matched). 5,220 of the 5,483 domains (95.2%) also load Flutter's web engine.
The path-segment clause catches things that aren't Dart, and a crawl always carries some dead domains, so before writing this I fetched every one of the 5,752 domains that passed our title filter on 16 October. I removed 269: 148 that no longer resolved in DNS, 44 parked or placeholder pages, 42 gambling lobbies (22 "KWG Game" lottery sites and 8 "FYT" betting sites among them) and 35 false matches, mostly WordPress themes, a Drupal ad module and a code editor's syntax file that happen to have "dart" in a path. The How We Counted note at the foot of the page has the full split. Of the 5,483 left, 5,208 served a Flutter loader or compiled Dart file when I fetched them.
Sales signal: treat a Dart hit as "this company ships a Flutter web app". The detection URL tells you which app, and it is rarely the homepage.
Growth trajectory
The chart has a single point, 5,483 domains in October 2026, because October is the first month counted after the cleaning. I wouldn't read growth into the uncleaned months before it either. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals have widened over the same period, so most of any earlier rise was ours. Since we began tracking Dart on 16 March 2026, 1,036 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname, and when I checked in mid-October 59 of those still ran it on another hostname.
"Dart on the web is Flutter on a subdomain. Of the 50 companies we list, 47 run it on an app, portal or login host, and their main site is built with something else." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: size the market at about 5,500 domains. The opportunity is in what these apps need around them, not in a fast-growing install base.
Who the customers are
63.53% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 20.93% have 11 to 50. Age points the same way: 50.24% were founded in the 2020s and 32.93% in the 2010s. That reads as startups building their product in Flutter. The large-company tail is different. 70 companies have more than 1,000 staff (47 at 1,001 to 5,000, 10 at 5,001 to 10,000 and 13 above that), and the ones I opened each run one customer-facing app: OTP Bank's SingleMarket portal, Vodafone Idea's Vi Finance loan app, Hero MotoCorp's application form, Tata Communications' career portal, Schunk's Control Center.
Dart's own Who uses Dart page names Google teams (Play Console, Ads, Assistant), Workiva and Wrike. Our crawl confirms Wrike, whose sign-in page loads a compiled main.dart.js, and Google's Ads Transparency Center. Much of what that page lists sits behind logins or inside mobile apps, where a crawl can't see it.
Sales signal: at enterprises, the buyer is the team that owns the app, usually digital channels or customer self-service. Sell to that team, not to central IT.
Industry and geography
Software Development (12.46%), Technology, Information and Internet (9.04%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (6.54%) add up to 28.04% of matched companies. Then comes Financial Services at 5.33%, and the named list leans harder that way than the chart: banks (OTP, CIB, Nations Trust), insurers (Pacífico Seguros, Generali Central, CIC, King Price), brokers (Geojit, Ventura Securities) and lenders (GoodLeap). Geography has one surprise. The United States leads with 521 of the 3,188 matched companies, but India is second with 358, ahead of Brazil (213), Germany (146), France (119) and the United Kingdom (114).
Sales signal: Indian and Latin American financial firms are the clearest enterprise pocket. They build customer apps in Flutter and need the same things every regulated app needs: identity checks, document capture, app security and analytics.
Switching: what the data can and can't say
We publish no migration table for Dart, and that's deliberate. Languages don't replace each other the way vendors do, and the overlaps we see are a Flutter front end sitting on a server stack. 509 Dart domains run PHP today, out of 735 that ever had both. Java is on 32 (36 ever), Python on 6 (10 ever) and Perl on 1 (3 ever). Those are domains running both today, not companies moving between them.
"When a bank or an insurer adds Dart, it hasn't left anything. It has added one Flutter app beside the stack it already had." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: don't pitch a Dart list as "companies leaving PHP". Pitch it as companies that run a customer-facing app and have to secure, test and measure it.
The stack around it
Percentages here are of the 5,483 clean live domains. Cloudflare is in front of 33.1%. jsDelivr (22.63%), cdnjs (15.56%) and unpkg (10.3%) look like front-end habits but are often Flutter plugins loading their web helpers: in the 16 October fetch, 313 of these domains pulled PDF.js from jsDelivr, 168 Cropper.js from cdnjs, and others loaded hls.js, Google Maps and QR-scanning libraries. Nginx (19.93%) and Apache (12.11%) serve the files. WordPress (16.74%) and Elementor (8.72%) usually sit on the marketing homepage, not the app. Next.js shows on 8.41%.
Sales signal: the plugin libraries tell you what each app does. PDF.js means document viewing, Cropper.js means profile or ID photo upload, QR libraries mean scanning. Those are better qualifiers than the language itself.
Key takeaways
- Dart's web footprint is Flutter: 95.2% of the 5,483 domains load Flutter's engine.
- About 5,500 domains after removing 269 dead, gambling and falsely matched ones.
- A startup-heavy base (63.53% at 1 to 10 staff) with a real enterprise tail of 70 companies above 1,000 staff.
- Financial services and India stand out among the named companies.
- The loose path rule mismatched 35 domains, 0.61% of the 5,752 we fetched, and they're out of the count.
Sales applications
Outreach template: "I noticed your team runs its customer portal as a Flutter web app at [detection URL]. Teams that ship Flutter to the browser usually hit [your product's problem] next. Worth comparing notes?"
Targeting: filter Dart domains by company size above 200 and Financial Services, Banking or Insurance, then sort by the detection URL's subdomain (app., portal., my.) to find the customer-facing apps.
Competitive angle: if you sell rebuilds or a low-code builder, look at the domains that dropped Dart since March and kept no Dart on any hostname. Some rebuilt, some shut down, so check the live site before you call.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Dart?
On the web, mostly young software companies and the self-service apps of larger firms. Our October 2026 crawl finds Dart on 5,483 domains, 63.53% of matched companies have ten or fewer staff, and 47 of the 50 companies we list run it on a subdomain. Named users include Wrike, OTP Bank, Vodafone Idea, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Communications and the ATP Tour.
How many customers does Dart have?
Dart is a free language, so it has users rather than customers. Our October 2026 crawl finds compiled Dart on 5,483 domains, after removing 269 dead, gambling and falsely matched ones, and 3,188 match a company record. When we fetched them on 16 October, 5,208 served a Flutter loader or compiled Dart file. Since March 2026, 1,036 domains have dropped it on a hostname.
What is Dart's market share?
0.1% of Programming Languages, 5th of the 13 rows we track, on 5,483 domains. The comparison is uneven: PHP (5,317,281 domains), Java (90,494), CFML (20,265) and Python (6,438) are read from server headers and cookies, while Dart is read from code compiled for the browser. A Flutter front end on a PHP server counts in both rows, as 509 Dart domains do today.
What are the best alternatives to Dart?
On the web, the alternative to Dart is JavaScript or TypeScript with a framework such as React, Angular or Vue, because Dart reaches browsers through Flutter. The languages listed above Dart in our table, PHP, Java, CFML and Python, run on servers and often sit beside it: 509 Dart domains run PHP today. For mobile apps, Flutter's rival is React Native.
Which countries use Dart the most?
The United States, with 521 of the 3,188 matched companies, then India (358), Brazil (213), Germany (146), France (119) and the United Kingdom (114). India's second place comes partly from finance apps: Geojit, Ventura Securities, Generali Central Insurance and Vodafone Idea's Vi Finance all appear on our list. The counts cover matched companies with a known country.
What size companies use Dart?
Mostly very small ones. 63.53% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 20.93% have 11 to 50. Still, 70 companies have more than 1,000 staff, and the ones we opened use Dart for a single app, such as OTP Bank's SingleMarket portal, Schunk's Control Center or Tata Communications' career portal.
How old are companies that use Dart?
Young. Among matched companies with a known founding year, 50.24% were founded in the 2020s and 32.93% in the 2010s, so 83.17% date from 2010 or later. Only 6.53% were founded in the 2000s. The older names on the list, such as OTP Bank (1949) and Usha (1935), use Dart through one customer app.

What are the top Dart companies?
Among companies we verified in a browser in October 2026, the best-known Dart users on the web include Vodafone Idea, OTP Bank, Swiss Medical Group, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Communications and Wrike. Dart's own Who uses Dart page adds Google, whose Play Console and Ads teams write Dart, plus Workiva, and BMW through Flutter. Our crawl sees Wrike's sign-in page from that list.
Which big companies use Flutter?
On the web, our crawl finds Flutter apps at OTP Bank, Vodafone Idea, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Communications, Swiss Medical Group and the ATP Tour, among the Dart domains we checked. Flutter's web loader sits on 5,220 of the 5,483 Dart domains. Mobile-only Flutter apps, such as those in Flutter's own showcase, don't appear in a web crawl at all.
Is Dart owned by Google?
Google created Dart and runs the project, but it is open source: the SDK is published on GitHub under a BSD-style licence. Google also uses it heavily. Dart's Who uses Dart page says the Google Play Console is written entirely in Dart. Our crawl finds Dart on one Google property, the Ads Transparency Center.
Is Dart the same as Flutter?
No. Dart is the programming language and Flutter is Google's UI toolkit written in it, so every Flutter app is a Dart app but not the reverse. On the web the two nearly coincide: 5,220 of the 5,483 Dart domains in our crawl (95.2%) also load Flutter's web engine. Of the other 263, 234 still serve a compiled Dart file.
Is Dart for frontend or backend?
Both. dart.dev describes native compilers for servers and devices and web compilers that turn Dart into JavaScript or WebAssembly. Our crawl only sees the browser side: a compiled main.dart.js, Dart's runtime globals or Dart's session cookie. Back-end Dart is invisible to us, and the server languages on the same domains are usually something else.
Is Dart free to use?
Yes. Dart is open source and free to use commercially; the Dart SDK is published under a BSD 3-Clause licence and is free to download. The costs are people and hosting, not licences. That's why our 5,483-domain count is a count of sites running Dart's output, not paying customers, and why the size data leans to small teams.
