Companies Using Nuxt.js

Nuxt.js appears on 210,562 domains in our October 2026 crawl, 3rd of 89 in Web Frameworks with 10.24% of the category. We matched 99,917 of those domains to a company, 47.45% of the base, and every size, industry, age and country figure below describes that matched set.

What the number counts

The rule looks for Nuxt's own fingerprints: a root element whose id starts with __nuxt, the $nuxt, __NUXT__ or useNuxtApp globals, or assets under /_nuxt/. It counts every page Nuxt renders, whoever chose it, and one platform chose it for a lot of them. 35.4% of live Nuxt domains also load HighLevel, the white-label marketing platform agencies resell. We opened 14 random sites running both on 10 October; 12 loaded, and all 12 were HighLevel-built pages with HighLevel's assets around a Nuxt root.

Sales Signal: split the list before you use it. A HighLevel site belongs to a small business and its agency, and nobody there chose a framework. The other two thirds are teams that picked Nuxt on purpose.

Growth trajectory

The chart reads 150,174 in June, 180,799 in July, 190,132 in August, 206,683 in September and 210,562 in October. Read it as a count. The domains we crawl turn over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones are found, and our detection widens, which explains most of the 30,625-domain jump from June to July. Since mid-March 2026, 21,791 domains have dropped Nuxt, about one for every ten domains live today.

Nuxt against its real peers

Our Web Frameworks table is mostly server frameworks: Microsoft ASP.NET (906,811 domains), Ruby on Rails (241,931), Express, Laravel and CodeIgniter. The fair comparison is the JavaScript meta-frameworks, and in our October 2026 monthly count Next.js reads 903,683 domains, about 4.3 times Nuxt's 210,562. Astro reads 332,356, SvelteKit 50,872, Gatsby 30,229 and Remix 9,119. Vue.js itself reads 1,066,374, so most Vue sites never add Nuxt.

The overlap data leans one way without amounting to switching. Since March, 1,883 domains that dropped Nuxt now run Next.js, against 413 that went the other way, but 3,415 of the 5,830 domains ever seen with both still run both. Astro looks similar: 631 out, 112 in, and 643 of 1,422 still running both. Angular runs towards Nuxt, 119 in and 52 out, with 768 of 968 still on both.

Sales Signal: for agencies that rebuild sites, the 3,415 domains running Nuxt and Next.js together are mixed estates where one framework may win the next rewrite. Sell migration help, or tooling that works across both.

Who runs it

61.5% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 21.55% have 11 to 50. Our Next.js profile shows a similar small-company share (60.47%), but the industries differ: Software Development is 9.36% there and 4.85% here, which is the HighLevel effect again. Ages are young, with 38.41% founded in the 2010s and 30.51% in the 2020s.

The enterprise tail is 2,479 companies above 1,000 staff (1,681, 354 and 444 across the three largest bands), and it usually runs Nuxt on one property. Deutsche Bahn uses it for a careers test, Textron and Booking.com for careers sites, Atlassian, Ryder and Canva for partner directories, L'Oréal for a campaign site. A smaller group runs it on the main domain: GSK, Kuehne + Nagel, Jumbo, Asus, Louis Vuitton, Upwork and Ohio State.

Sales Signal: at large companies, sell to the team that owns the property, usually recruiting, partner marketing or a campaign group.

Where it is used

The United States has 35,337 matched companies. Continental Europe is the tilt: Germany (4,573), France (3,553), the Netherlands (3,023), Spain (1,462), Switzerland (1,420) and Italy (1,357) add up to 15,388, against 5,686 for the United Kingdom. China (2,387) and Japan (1,964) are in the top ten, and Yandex.Metrika (3.03%) and Baidu Analytics (1.01%) show up in the stack. Software Development (4.85%) and IT services (4.64%) lead the industries, but no industry reaches 5%.

Sales Signal: Vue agencies in Germany, France and the Netherlands are a better-qualified list than a raw US pull, which carries more of the HighLevel sites.

The stack around it

Of 212,855 live Nuxt domains, 82.35% load Vue.js and 66.02% use Tailwind CSS. Bootstrap is on 5.29%. Element UI (4.83%), Nuxt UI (4.04%) and PrimeVue (3.87%) are the Vue component kits in use. Cloudflare fronts 55.06% and Google Cloud CDN 33.76%; Netlify (4.01%) and jsDelivr (7.17%) appear too. Pinia is on 14.23%, GSAP on 10.97% and jQuery still on 14.06%.

Sales Signal: a Tailwind and Vue component kit build behind Cloudflare is the default shape. Tools that plug into Vue fit; tools that assume a React component library don't.

Who stands behind Nuxt

NuxtLabs, the company that created and stewards Nuxt and Nitro, joined Vercel, announced on 8 July 2025 in Vercel's post. The post says Nuxt and Nitro stay independent projects under the MIT licence, with a public roadmap and open governance, and that Nuxt UI Pro would become free and open source. Nothing in our data shows a change in Nuxt's footprint tied to the deal.

Sales Signal: hosting and deployment vendors should expect Vercel to court Nuxt teams. Netlify is already on 4.01% of Nuxt domains.
