Companies Using Remix
Our November 2026 crawl finds 8,934 domains running Remix, the React framework that joined Shopify in 2022. A domain counts when its page sets one of three browser globals that a Remix v1 or v2 app creates: __remixContext, __remixRouteModules or __remixRouter. Remix's framework features have since moved into React Router v7, whose apps set __reactRouterContext instead, so React Router apps aren't in this count. Nor is Remix 3, the new framework on remix.run: that site sets none of the three globals. Below is the list of companies that use Remix in that sense, the v1 and v2 line, with size, country, industry and stack.
A good part of the count arrives through platforms built on Remix. We loaded a random 40 domains from the list on 6 November 2026 and 35 set the globals. 9 were newsletters hosted on beehiiv, 4 were Shopify Hydrogen storefronts and 2 were restaurant sites built by Justo, an ordering platform. The other 20 were companies' own sites and apps. Debenhams, David's Bridal, Warehouse, STC's mystc portal and Shopify's own Help Center all ran Remix that day.
Remix ranks 15th of 89 rows in Web Frameworks with 0.43%, between Blazor (13,999 domains) and Ionic (7,593). The table is led by server frameworks such as Microsoft ASP.NET (44.11%) and Ruby on Rails (11.77%), so the share compares the framework a page reveals, not products bought for the same job. The count comes after we removed 153 for-sale pages, duplicates and alias domains, 1.7% of the raw count (see How We Counted, below).

Remix Usage Statistics
Remix reads 6,295 domains in June 2026, 7,034 in July, 8,178 in August, 9,101 in September, 9,119 in October and 9,227 in November; that monthly series counts on a slightly different basis from the cleaned 8,934 headline. Don't read the climb as adoption. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our signals widen over time. One mechanism runs the other way: an app that upgrades to React Router v7 stops setting these globals and leaves the count. Since tracking began on 16 March 2026, 1,325 domains dropped Remix from every hostname.

React Router shows on 88.17% of the 8,934 domains, as expected: Remix v2 is built on it. React's own signal shows on only 8.88%, though every Remix app renders with React. Tailwind CSS is on 83.43%, Radix UI on 23.62% and shadcn/ui on 16.73%. Cloudflare fronts 74.87%. Google Tag Manager (56.46%) and Google Analytics (53.63%) lead the tracking rows, while Plausible (1.99%) and Umami (1.38%) are rare, based on our crawl data.

How We Counted Remix Sites
A domain counts here when its page sets __remixContext, __remixRouteModules or __remixRouter, the browser globals a Remix v1 or v2 app creates. The context is written into an inline script, so the signal shows in the page source as well as in a browser. React Router v7 apps set __reactRouterContext instead and aren't counted.
Our raw November count was 9,087 domains. Our standard title filter removed 25 for-sale and gambling pages, and we removed 128 more that would have counted one site several times or weren't the owner's site at all: 67 extra domains of single companies that redirect to the company's main site (we kept the main domain), 40 www. addresses duplicating a site we already count at the bare domain, and 22 copies of a Shopify help page titled "Shopify Help Center | Domains". One domain carried two reasons. 8,934 remain, 1.7% fewer than the raw count, and every chart and table on this page uses that number.
Some repeated titles are still in the count, such as 16 domains titled for SimplyNoted and 14 for Shaper Tools. We haven't confirmed whether those are aliases of one site, so they stay until we have.

I run the crawler that executes each page in a browser and records the globals it leaves behind, and Remix is a clear case of a rule that measures one version line. Our November 2026 crawl counts 8,934 domains that set __remixContext or one of its two siblings, 15th of 89 rows in Web Frameworks with 0.43%. 4,977 match a company.
What the rule can and can't see
Those globals belong to Remix v1 and v2. Remix's blog says its framework features moved into React Router v7, and since December 2024 it has recommended upgrading existing Remix apps. An upgraded app sets __reactRouterContext instead and leaves this count. In our 40-domain sample on 6 November 2026, one site had already moved, to React Router 7.18. Remix 3, a release candidate since 31 August 2026, is a different framework, and remix.run sets none of the three globals.
Sales signal: every domain here runs a line whose maintainers recommend upgrading to React Router v7. That's a migration project someone will have to scope.
Who runs it
35 of the 40 sampled domains set the globals. 9 were beehiiv newsletters, 4 Shopify Hydrogen stores and 2 restaurant sites from Justo; the other 20 were companies' own builds. A beehiiv publisher never chose Remix, and it will change framework when beehiiv does.
