How we collect this data
Every number names its source and the date it was read.
471 domains dropped Wix and now run Webflow in the 90 days to October 3, 2026, against 156 that went the other way, a 3 : 1 flow toward Webflow (TechnologyChecker, October 2026 crawl). Both directions clear our migration bar. The move to Webflow is 20.8 times what Wix's general drop rate predicts, the move back 2.8 times Webflow's. Counts are sites built on each platform: Wix detected by renderer headers, scripts, cookie and generator tag, Webflow by page attribute, scripts, CDN files and generator tag. Wix is about 5 times bigger, with 1,298,903 domains (8.72% of CMS & Website Builders, #2) to Webflow's 262,281 (1.72%, #5). Wix's profile dates from August 15, 2026, Webflow's from August 24. Pick Webflow for a design-led site on a CMS, from $25 a month on yearly billing. Webflow also scores higher on G2 for support (8.5 to 8.0) and product direction (8.8 to 8.2).

1 of 2 shortlisted alternatives is where domains actually go. G2 puts Duda and WordPress.com beside this pair. Of those, WordPress.com also appears among the technologies Wix leavers move to. The destinations we measure — WordPress, Squarespace, GoDaddy Website Builder and Joomla — include Squarespace, GoDaddy Website Builder and Joomla, absent from G2's shortlist.
G2 scores features by category only when both products are rated on a shared feature set, and it publishes none for Wix and Webflow. The feature table above is ours, read off each vendor's own pages.
G2 also publishes an AI-generated summary and a set of generated FAQs for this pair. We link rather than reproduce them — they are machine-written, we cannot verify the claims in them, and the verdict and FAQs on this page are the editor's. Read G2's own comparison →

The review scores and the switching data lean the same way. In the 90 days to October 3, 2026, 471 domains moved from Wix to Webflow, 3 times the 156 going the other way. G2 also scores Webflow higher on product direction (8.8 to 8.2) and support (8.5 to 8.0). Wix leads on getting started, with ease of use at 8.9 to 8.1 and ease of setup at 8.9 to 8.4. A live check that day found all 40 sampled Wix to Webflow domains running Webflow. The 40 Webflow to Wix domains were messier: 29 served a live Wix site, 4 more returned Wix with an empty page and 2 were parked Wix pages.

Wix loses more sites to Webflow than it wins back. In the 90 days to October 3, 2026, 471 domains moved to Webflow and 156 went the other way. Both flows beat each platform's own corpus-wide loss rate since tracking began on March 16, 2026. Over that time, 656 domains moved to Webflow and 210 back, out of 1,174 ever detected on both. On those all-time counts, the move to Webflow is 20.8 times what Wix's loss rate predicts, the move back 2.8 times Webflow's. On Wix's 1,298,903 domains, though, 471 is 0.04%. Read it for direction, not size.
The company data fits that direction without proving why sites move. Companies on Webflow run a little larger and newer. 60.74% of the 193,110 Webflow companies with a known size employ 1 to 10 people, against 78.74% of Wix's 998,018. Of the 125,405 Webflow companies with a known founding year, 34.69% were founded in the 2020s, against 30.71% of Wix's 503,739. The Wix profile was analysed August 15 and the Webflow profile August 24, 2026. On G2, Webflow scores higher on product direction (8.8 to 8.2) and Wix on ease of use (8.9 to 8.1).
Before you move, check three costs on Webflow's pricing page. Premium, the first paid plan with the CMS, costs $25 a month on yearly billing or $39 month to month. A store is a separate Ecommerce plan from $29 a month, with a 2% transaction fee on Standard. Extra full editor seats are $39 a month each on the same yearly terms, $45 month to month. Wix puts payments, eCommerce and scheduling inside its Core, Business and Business Elite plans. Wix's paid USD prices are missing here because its plans page serves a regional, tax-inclusive variant. Compare them on wix.com. The latest crawl still records 308 domains on both builders, but a live check of 40 of them found 26 on Webflow only and 9 on Wix only. Read that figure as crawl lag, not sites running both.

Where this data comes from
October 2026 crawlOur detection dataFirst-party
The switching corridor, adoption curves, market shares and customer lists come from our own monthly crawl of 29.9M live business domains, detected across the full signal stack: HTTP headers, rendered DOM, JS globals, DNS, TLS and certificate transparency.
A switch is an observed change, not a survey answer: a domain dropped Wix on every host we track and now runs Webflow. Counts are domains, not accounts. Company attributes (industry, employee band, country) come from the enriched samples named in each caption (1,096,571 companies for Wix, 200,513 for Webflow).
Full detection methodology →The vendors' own pages
Pricing tables and the feature matrix are read from wix.com and webflow.com, entered by hand and checked cell by cell by an editor. Every table names its source URL and the date it was verified.
A verification older than 90 days withdraws the page from search until an editor re-checks it, so a stale price cannot outrank a current one.

How many sites switched from Wix to Webflow?
471 domains dropped Wix and now run Webflow in the 90 days to October 3, 2026, and 656 since tracking began on March 16, 2026. In the same 90 days, 156 went the other way, and 210 since tracking began. Both flows are more than twice what each platform's general drop rate predicts. Counts are domains, not companies or contracts.
Which is more widely used, Wix or Webflow?
Wix, by about 5 times. Wix runs on 1,298,903 detected domains, 8.72% of the CMS & Website Builders category and #2 in it. Webflow has 262,281, 1.72% and #5. The Wix profile was analysed August 15, 2026, the Webflow profile August 24.
Is Webflow more expensive than Wix?
Webflow publishes US prices: a free Starter plan, Basic at $15 a month on yearly billing or $25 month to month, Premium with the CMS at $25 or $39, and Ecommerce from $29 or $42. Wix also has a free plan and four paid tiers, but its plans page serves region-specific, tax-inclusive prices. Compare the USD figures on wix.com on the day you buy. We read both pages on October 3, 2026.
How do you detect Wix and Webflow?
Wix from its renderer response headers, its static.parastorage.com scripts, a wix.com cookie and its Wix.com Website Builder generator tag. Webflow from the data-wf-site attribute on the page, its Webflow scripts, files served from its CDN (cdn.prod.website-files.com) and its generator tag. Both signals come from the site's own pages, so a domain counts when it is built on the platform.
Do sites run Wix and Webflow at the same time?
Rarely, on this evidence. The October 2026 crawl records 308 domains on both Wix and Webflow. A live check of 40 of them on October 3, 2026 found none running both. Instead, 26 were on Webflow only, 9 on Wix only and 5 showed neither signal on the homepage. Read the 308 as domains caught mid-move.
Why is Webflow better than Wix?
We do not rank either as better. In the 90 days to October 3, 2026, 471 domains moved from Wix to Webflow and 156 went the other way. G2 scores Webflow higher on product direction (8.8 to 8.2), quality of support (8.5 to 8.0) and being a good partner (8.9 to 8.4). Wix wins on ease of use (8.9 to 8.1) and ease of setup (8.9 to 8.4).
Do professionals use Webflow?
Webflow's base leans to larger companies than Wix's. The figures come from Webflow's profile of August 24 and Wix's of August 15, 2026. Webflow's profile also lists software, agencies and consulting as its leading industries.
Is there anything better than Wix?
That depends on the site. On G2, Webflow (4.4 on 995 reviews), Duda (4.6 on 790) and WordPress.com (4.4 on 2,716) all average above Wix's 4.2 on 1,888 reviews. In our data, 471 domains moved from Wix to Webflow in the 90 days to October 3, 2026. Wix still beats Webflow on ease of use, 8.9 to 8.1.
What are the top 3 website builders?
By detected domains in our CMS & Website Builders category, WordPress is first (64.17%), Wix second (8.72%, 1,298,903 domains) and Squarespace third (6.84%), in profiles analysed August 15, 2026. Webflow is fifth, with 1.72% and 262,281 domains, in its profile analysed August 24, 2026. Detected domains measure how many sites run a platform, not which is better.

Webflow's con topics on G2's Webflow vs Wix comparison page, read October 3, 2026, are learning curve (102 mentions) and limited features (94).
