Companies Using Adobe Fonts

Our database tracks 1,253,137 domains using Adobe Fonts. Below you'll find the full list of companies using Adobe Fonts with industry breakdowns, geographic distribution and migration data.

Adobe Fonts is #3 of the 24 font services we track at 6.38%, behind Google Font API (10,997,995 domains) and Font Awesome (5,822,089). One fact should shape how you read every number on this page: Squarespace accounts for 47.59% of the domains where we detect Adobe Fonts, because Squarespace ships Adobe's library inside its own font picker. Nearly half of this footprint belongs to people who never bought anything from Adobe.

Adobe Fonts Usage Statistics

How has Adobe Fonts adoption changed over time?

We only have three months of history for Adobe Fonts, and the page says so rather than drawing a trend line through it. This technology entered our detection dictionary recently, so unlike most profiles there is no long-run series behind it. What we can report is the current window: 1,181,230 domains in June 2026, 1,269,251 in July and 1,253,137 in August.

That is a rise then a slight fall, and at this range the month-to-month movement is comfortably inside what ordinary crawl variation produces. Treat it as flat. Any claim about Adobe Fonts growing or declining would need a longer series than we have.

List of Companies Using Adobe Fonts

Which companies use Adobe Fonts?

Our verified list of companies using Adobe Fonts spans agencies, media, retail and professional services, with no single sector dominating. We've identified 769,497 of 1,253,137 detected domains with company profiles, a 61.4% match rate. Read the list with the platform split in mind: 47.59% of these domains are Squarespace sites that receive Adobe's fonts through the builder, so a detection is not by itself evidence that the company chose or pays for Adobe Fonts.

The United States dominates with 57.33% of the countries we can place, ahead of the United Kingdom (12.93%), Australia (5.89%), Canada (5.59%), the Netherlands (3.15%) and Germany (2.82%).

That is one of the most US-weighted distributions we measure, and the reason is largely Squarespace, whose own customer base is heavily American and which accounts for nearly half of these detections. Read this as a map of Squarespace and Creative Cloud adoption rather than of typography.

Adobe Fonts Market Share Among Font Services

What is Adobe Fonts' market share?

Adobe Fonts holds 6.38% of the font services category and ranks #3 of 24. Google Font API leads on 10,997,995 domains and Font Awesome follows on 5,822,089, with Twitter Emoji (868,571) and Bootstrap Icons (215,879) behind Adobe.

Share is the wrong way to read this category, because the leaders are free and Adobe Fonts is not. Google Fonts is the default in almost every template ever shipped; it wins on being already there. And Adobe's own position is largely a distribution deal rather than a sales result: Squarespace supplies 47.59% of these domains, so roughly half of third place was won by being bundled into somebody else's product.

Adobe Fonts Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Adobe Fonts?

69.89% of identified companies have 1-10 staff and 19.97% have 11-50, out of 769,497 identified companies.

A paid font service on that many micro-businesses looks contradictory, and the resolution is not that they all subscribe. 58.48% of Squarespace domains run Adobe Fonts, and Squarespace is a site builder sold to exactly this kind of small business. The typical domain in this table is a Squarespace site whose owner picked a font from a menu, not a company that bought Creative Cloud.

What Industries Use Adobe Fonts the Most?

Which industries use Adobe Fonts the most?

Nothing leads: construction (3.78%), advertising services (3.43%), business consulting (3.15%), real estate (3.08%) and retail (2.62%) sit within about a point of each other.

This is close to a picture of Squarespace's customer base, which is what you would expect when that one platform supplies nearly half the detections. Advertising services near the top (3.43%) is the segment most likely to hold a genuine Creative Cloud licence, but it is a small part of the whole.

Construction26,809 (3.78%)
Advertising Services24,333 (3.43%)
Business Consulting and Services22,345 (3.15%)
Real Estate21,861 (3.08%)
Retail18,557 (2.62%)
Design Services18,475 (2.61%)

How does Adobe Fonts usage break down by sector?

The spread is flat: construction at 3.78%, advertising services at 3.43% and business consulting at 3.15% lead a table where nothing reaches four percent. Read it as a portrait of Squarespace's customer base as much as Adobe's, since that platform supplies nearly half the detections. Advertising services is the one line where genuine Creative Cloud licences concentrate, and it is a small share of the whole.

Adobe Fonts Alternatives & Competitors

What are the top Adobe Fonts alternatives?

Google Font API (10,997,995 domains) is the alternative almost everyone actually uses, followed by Font Awesome (5,822,089), Twitter Emoji (868,571), Bootstrap Icons (215,879) and Bunny Fonts.

The distinction that matters is licensing rather than features. Google Fonts and Bunny Fonts are free and open-licensed; Adobe Fonts is a curated commercial library where the value is access to typefaces you cannot get free, with the web licence handled by the subscription. Sites choose Adobe when the typeface itself is the requirement.

Adobe Fonts Customer Migration

Where do domains migrate from and to with Adobe Fonts?

This is the one section on the page where the raw numbers should not be taken at face value, and it is worth explaining why. The table shows 262,279 domains apparently arriving from Google Font API against 13,800 leaving. That looks like a landslide and it is not.

Google Font API is on 11M domains and has 1,076,524 churned domains of its own, so a quarter of its total churn shows up here simply because font services frequently sit on the same pages. We also have no Adobe Fonts history before June 2026, so we cannot observe a site switching, only that Google Fonts stopped being detected somewhere Adobe Fonts is present today. The honest read is that these are mostly sites dropping one of two font services, not a migration. The smaller same-scale flows, 5,695 from Font Awesome against 5,060 to it, are close to even and more informative.

Tech Stack of Adobe Fonts-Powered Websites

What technologies do Adobe Fonts sites run alongside it?

Squarespace runs on 47.59% of Adobe Fonts domains, against WordPress on only 19.73%. That inversion is unusual: WordPress is roughly nine times Squarespace's size on the open web, so a technology skewing this hard toward Squarespace is being distributed by it rather than chosen independently.

The reverse check confirms it. 58.48% of all Squarespace domains carry Adobe Fonts, 600,674 sites, which is 47.9% of Adobe Fonts' entire footprint. The rest of the stack is unremarkable: core-js (69.42%), Modernizr (52.84%), jQuery (49.38%) and Google Analytics (55.21%).

Expert Analysis: Adobe Fonts Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

Adobe Fonts is the third largest font service on the web and the only one near the top that anybody pays for. That single fact explains most of its distribution.

1. Half of this footprint is Squarespace

Squarespace accounts for 47.59% of Adobe Fonts detections, and reversed, 58.48% of every Squarespace domain carries Adobe Fonts , 600,674 sites, or 47.9% of the entire Adobe Fonts base. Squarespace ships Adobe's library inside its font picker, so those site owners never made an Adobe purchase. Any statement of the form "1.25M businesses chose Adobe Fonts" is wrong for roughly half the number.

Sales signal: segment before you act on this list. The ~52% that is not Squarespace is the population that made an actual decision; the Squarespace half is a platform default.

2. The micro-business skew is Squarespace, not designers

69.89% of identified companies have 1-10 staff, which would be strange for a paid Adobe product if these were all subscribers. They are not: Squarespace sells to precisely this segment and supplies nearly half the detections. The flat industry table (construction 3.78%, advertising services 3.43%, business consulting 3.15%) is closer to a portrait of Squarespace's customers than of Adobe's.

Sales signal: the agency segment (advertising services) is where genuine Creative Cloud relationships concentrate, but it is a minority of this list. Do not treat the whole base as Adobe customers.

3. Read the migration table with care

The data shows 262,279 domains arriving from Google Font API against 13,800 leaving, which would be an extraordinary reversal if it were real. It is not. Google Font API has 1,076,524 churned domains of its own and font services routinely co-occur, so this is largely sites dropping one of two font dependencies. We also have no Adobe Fonts history before June 2026, so no switch is actually observable. The near-even exchange with Font Awesome, 5,695 in against 5,060 out, is the number to trust at this scale.

Sales signal: do not build a displacement pitch on the Google Fonts number. It is an artifact of how large and churn-heavy the free option is.

4. What we cannot tell you

Three months of history is not a trend. Every other profile on this site carries years of series data; this one does not, because the technology entered our dictionary recently. The distributions are solid and the count is solid, but anyone wanting to know whether Adobe Fonts is winning or losing ground will have to wait for the series to accumulate.

What is Adobe Fonts?

Adobe Fonts is the font-hosting service included with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, previously sold as Typekit. Sites load typefaces from Adobe's CDN, and the web licence is handled by the subscription rather than bought per font.

How many websites use Adobe Fonts?

Our current crawl detects Adobe Fonts on 1,253,137 active domains, making it #3 of the 24 font services we track at 6.38% of the category. We have identified 769,497 of those domains with company profiles.

Is Adobe Fonts free?

No. It comes with a paid Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, which is what distinguishes it from the services ranked above it: Google Fonts, Font Awesome's free tier, Bunny Fonts and Bootstrap Icons all cost nothing.

Adobe Fonts vs Google Fonts: which is more used?

Google Fonts by a wide margin, on 10,997,995 domains against Adobe Fonts' 1,253,137. They are not really substitutes though: Google Fonts is free and pre-wired into most templates, while Adobe Fonts is a commercial library chosen when a specific typeface is required.

Why do so many small companies use a paid font service?

Because the subscription usually belongs to whoever built the site. 69.89% of identified Adobe Fonts companies have 1-10 staff, and advertising services rank near the top of the industry table, which is consistent with agencies and freelancers building on their own Creative Cloud licences.

Is Adobe Fonts growing?

We cannot say. We only have three months of history for it: 1,181,230 domains in June 2026, 1,269,251 in July and 1,253,137 in August. That is a rise then a slight fall, well within ordinary crawl variation at this scale, and too short a series to call a trend.

What was Typekit?

Typekit was the original name of the service, and the detection still keys on its use.typekit.com and use.typekit.net hosts. Adobe acquired Typekit and later rebranded it as Adobe Fonts.
