Companies Using Twitch
This page counts websites that embed Twitch, not people who watch it. Our October 2026 crawl finds a Twitch player, chat or clip loading on 1,386 domains, after we removed 97 that were Twitch's own addresses or vanity domains forwarding to a channel. Below is the list of companies that use Twitch this way: game studios such as Insomniac Games, sports bodies such as the Argentine Football Association and TSG Hoffenheim's esports team, local radio stations, and hundreds of streamers' own sites.
Twitch ranks 2nd of the 21 tools in Live Streaming, with 24.3%, behind Firework. In a hand-classified sample of 100 of these domains, 22 were creators' sites, 24 gaming communities or esports teams, 19 radio, TV or media outlets, 24 other organisations and 11 dead or spam pages.

Twitch Usage Statistics
This page charts one reading: 1,386 domains in October 2026, counted after removing domains that only forward to Twitch. Don't compare it with earlier totals. We began tracking Twitch on 4 August 2026, the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. Since 4 August, 251 domains have dropped Twitch on at least one hostname; in our check, 36 of them still ran it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Twitch the Most?
Which countries embed Twitch the most? The United States has the most matched companies, 120 of the 310 we could place (38.71%). But the European countries in our top 15 hold 139 between them, led by France (33), Germany (25), Spain (20), Italy (17) and the United Kingdom (14). Argentina (16) and Brazil (13) add football and esports organisations, the Argentine Football Association among them.
Share of the 422 Twitch domains we matched to a company record — 30.4% of the 1,386 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Twitch Market Share Among Live Streaming
What is Twitch's market share? 24.3% of Live Streaming, 2nd of the 21 tools we track there, on 1,386 domains in our October 2026 crawl at TechnologyChecker.io, counted after removing domains that only forward to Twitch. Firework leads with 1,927 (33.78%). The next row, Bambuser at 917, is mostly one carmaker's dealer network. The category mixes buyers: Firework sells shoppable video to retailers, while a Twitch embed is free and usually shows a streamer's or a club's own channel.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Twitch Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies embed Twitch? Small ones. 71.5% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 19.5% have 11 to 50. Only 12 list more than 200 staff. And most Twitch domains don't match a company at all: we matched 422 of the 1,386, because a streamer's own site rarely has a LinkedIn page.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
77.2% of matched companies with a founding year started in 2010 or later: 52% in the 2010s and 25.2% in the 2020s, which tracks the growth of streaming and esports. The older names are institutions that stream their own events, such as the Argentine Football Association (1893) and TSG Hoffenheim (1899).
What Industries Use Twitch the Most?
Computer Games leads at 10.11%, then Entertainment Providers (8.24%), Spectator Sports (6.91%) and Broadcast Media Production and Distribution (6.12%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 11%. That fits a free embed used by anyone with a channel: game studios, sports clubs, radio stations, schools and the odd software agency all appear.
Game studios using Twitch embeds include Insomniac Games and iRacing, on its members' site. Sports organisations embedding Twitch include the Argentine Football Association and TSG Hoffenheim, on its esports pages. Radio stations using Twitch as a video feed include Radio Judaïca in Belgium and KVCM, whose site plays its monarchradio channel.
Twitch Alternatives & Competitors
None of the other tools in this table is a straight substitute for a Twitch embed. Firework (33.78%) sells live shopping to retailers, and so does Bambuser (16.08%), though most of its row is one carmaker's dealer network. ListenLive (6.75%) streams radio and Vonage Video API (4.59%) is a developer API for video calls, based on our market share data across 50M+ crawled domains. For a site that wants to show a live stream, the realistic alternative is YouTube's embedded player, whose profile counts 1,536,793 domains in Video Players.
| Technology | Domains | Market Share |
|---|---|---|
| 1,927 | 33.78% | |
| 917 | 16.08% | |
ListenLive | 385 | 6.75% |

How We Counted Sites That Embed Twitch
A domain counts here if a page on it loads a script from Twitch's player, embed or asset hosts (player.twitch.tv, embed.twitch.tv or assets.twitch.tv). That covers Twitch's embedded player, its chat embed and the JavaScript embed. Links don't count, so a site that only links to its streamer's channel isn't here.
Our crawl recorded those scripts on 1,487 live domains. We removed 4 whose page titles marked them as for-sale or gambling pages, then 97 that don't embed Twitch at all: Twitch's own addresses (such as twitch.tv, twitch.com, m.twitch.tv and clips.twitch.tv) and vanity domains that forward visitors straight to a Twitch channel page, such as fuslie.com and esfand.tv. On those, the scripts we saw belong to Twitch's own page. That leaves 1,386, and every chart and table on this page uses that base.
Our Live Streaming category table uses this cleaned figure too, so both pages show Twitch 2nd with 1,386 domains. The category total keeps its published figure, so the 24.3% is 1,386 measured against that total, and the other tools' shares don't move. The 17 gambling-themed domains left in the count (1.23%) stay in it but are kept out of our company list.
Expert Analysis: Twitch Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Twitch is an unusual page for us, because the product we count isn't for sale. Embedding a Twitch player or chat on a website is free, so this page measures sites, and only some of them buy anything. Our October 2026 crawl finds a Twitch embed on 1,386 domains, 422 of them matched to a company, and the list is a cross-section of streaming culture: game studios, esports teams, football clubs, local radio, schools and a lot of individual streamers. For a sales team, the question is who among them has a budget.
First, what we took out
Some domains look like Twitch customers but aren't. Our crawler recorded Twitch's scripts on 1,487 live domains. After 4 for-sale or gambling pages, 97 of the remaining 1,483 (6.54%) either belong to Twitch or forward visitors straight to a Twitch channel page, vanity addresses such as fuslie.com or esfand.tv. The scripts load there because the page is Twitch itself, so we removed them, which leaves the 1,386 sites this page is built on. I also checked for gambling streamers: 17 of the 1,386 (1.23%) have titles about casinos, poker or betting. They stay in the count but out of the company list.
Sales signal: a vanity domain that forwards to twitch.tv has no website to sell into, which is why those are gone. What's left are real pages with a player on them.
One reading
The chart shows a single point, 1,386 domains in October 2026. I wouldn't compare it with earlier months. We began tracking Twitch on 4 August 2026, the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection signals widen over time. Exits are visible: 251 domains have dropped Twitch on at least one hostname since 4 August, and in our check 36 of them still ran it on another.
"Strip out the vanity domains and Twitch's footprint on the open web is 1,386 sites, most of them run by people with a channel to show." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: these sites change often. Treat a Twitch embed as a sign of current activity, and re-check before outreach.
Who embeds Twitch
I hand-classified a random sample of 100 of the 1,386 domains. 22 were creators' own sites, 24 gaming communities or esports teams (game servers, leagues, clubs), 19 radio, TV or media outlets, 24 other organisations, among them a Czech town council and a German Jewish community, and 11 were dead, blocked or spam pages. The matched companies tell the same story by size: 71.5% have 1 to 10 employees and only 12 list more than 200 staff. Ages are young too, with 77.2% founded in 2010 or later.
Sales signal: esports teams and gaming communities are the segment with budgets and recurring needs (tournaments, sponsors, merch). Individual creators are a volume play best reached through platforms they already use.
Industries and geography
Computer Games leads the matched companies at 10.11%, then Entertainment Providers (8.24%), Spectator Sports (6.91%) and Broadcast Media (6.12%); no industry reaches 11%. Named examples span all of them: Insomniac Games on its main site, iRacing on its members' site, the Argentine Football Association, TSG Hoffenheim on its esports pages and Radio Judaïca in Belgium. Geography is more European than American. The United States has the most matched companies, 120 of the 310 we could place, but the European countries in our top 15 hold 139 between them, with France (33) and Germany (25) leading.
Sales signal: localise. A French esports team and a German football club's esports arm are reached in their own languages and leagues, not through US-centric gaming outreach.
Switching: where embeds go
Our migration table for Twitch is empty, so we can't show sites moving from Twitch to a rival player. The obvious rival for a site embed is YouTube's player, which its profile puts on 1,536,793 domains; next to that, Twitch embeds are a niche. The tools beside Twitch in our Live Streaming table don't compete for the same sites. Firework sells shoppable video to retailers, and so does Bambuser, whose row is mostly one carmaker's dealer network.
"A Twitch embed follows the streamer. When a creator or a team moves platforms, the website changes with them, so the leading indicator is the channel, not the site." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: for tools that serve streamers, a Twitch embed identifies where a creator lives today. Pair it with the channel itself before pitching.
The stack around the embed
Shares here are of the 1,386 live Twitch domains. WordPress runs on 39.54% and Elementor on 13.42%. Commerce is a side line: WooCommerce on 9.02%, Shopify on 3.25% and Fourthwall, a creator merch platform, on 2.74%. Google Analytics appears on only 50.72%, and Cloudflare fronts 38.02%. That low analytics share is the clearest sign these are hobby, community and small-media sites. The Elementor share matters for anyone selling widgets to them: on a page builder, adding or swapping an embed is a drag-and-drop job.
Sales signal: merch, sponsorship and community tools fit this stack better than enterprise analytics. Fourthwall's presence shows creators will add a store when it's easy.
Key takeaways
- Twitch embeds appear on 1,386 domains, 2nd of 21 in Live Streaming with 24.3%.
- We removed 97 domains that were Twitch's own or vanity redirects to a channel.
- The base is creators, gaming and esports communities, sport and local media, mostly tiny.
- Europe outweighs the US among matched companies, 139 to 120.
- YouTube's player is the realistic alternative; the shoppable-video tools in this table serve retailers.
Sales applications
Outreach template: "Your site streams your Twitch channel. Teams and creators like you use [your product] to [grow sponsorship, sell merch, run tournaments] from the same site. Can I send a two-minute demo?"
Targeting: on TechnologyChecker.io, filter Twitch users by industry (Computer Games, Spectator Sports) and by country. The list already leaves out domains that only forward to twitch.tv.
Competitive angle: streaming tools should target organisations embedding Twitch on WordPress, where swapping in another player or adding a multistream embed is a page edit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Twitch?
On the web, streamers, gaming communities, sports clubs and local radio. Our October 2026 crawl finds a Twitch player or chat embedded on 1,386 domains. Named examples include Insomniac Games, the Argentine Football Association, TSG Hoffenheim's esports pages, iRacing and thoughtbot. Computer Games is the top industry among matched companies, at 10.11%, and no industry reaches 11%.
How many customers does Twitch have?
Twitch doesn't sell embeds, so our count is of websites. Our October 2026 crawl finds a Twitch player or chat embedded on 1,386 domains, after removing 97 that were Twitch's own addresses or vanity domains forwarding to a channel. 422 of the 1,386 matched to a company. 251 domains have dropped Twitch on at least one hostname since August 2026.
What is Twitch's market share?
24.3% of Live Streaming, 2nd of the 21 tools we track there, on 1,386 domains in October 2026, counted after removing domains that only forward to Twitch. Firework leads with 33.78%. The category mixes very different buyers: Firework sells shoppable video to retailers, while a Twitch embed is free and usually shows a streamer's or club's own channel.
What are the best alternatives to Twitch?
For embedding live video on a site, YouTube's player is the obvious alternative, and its profile counts 1,536,793 domains in our Video Players category. Retailers who want to sell during a stream look at shoppable-video tools such as Firework (1,927 domains). Radio stations streaming audio use players such as ListenLive (385). Choose by where your audience already watches.
Which countries use Twitch the most?
Among matched companies embedding Twitch, the United States leads with 120 of the 310 we could place (38.71%). The European countries in our top 15 hold 139 between them: France 33, Germany 25, Spain 20, Italy 17, the United Kingdom 14, the Netherlands 13, Norway 8, Finland 5 and Sweden 4. Argentina (16) and Brazil (13) follow.
What size companies use Twitch?
Small ones. 71.5% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 19.5% have 11 to 50, so 91% have 50 or fewer. Only 12 list more than 200 staff. Most Twitch domains don't match a company at all: we matched 422 of 1,386 live domains, because streamers' own sites rarely have a LinkedIn page.
How old are companies that use Twitch?
Young. Among matched companies with a founding year, 52% started in the 2010s and 25.2% in the 2020s, so 77.2% were founded in 2010 or later. That tracks the growth of streaming and esports. The older names are institutions that stream their own events, such as the Argentine Football Association (1893) and TSG Hoffenheim (1899).
What is the ideal customer profile for Twitch?
For tools sold to Twitch-embedding sites: a gaming, esports, sports or radio organisation with ten or fewer staff, founded in the 2010s, based in the United States or Western Europe, running a WordPress site built with Elementor. It streams its own channel on Twitch and uses the website to show the stream, chat and schedule.
How do I embed Twitch on my website?
Twitch's developer docs describe three ways: embed everything (player and chat in one iframe), chat only, or video and clips only. Your domain must use SSL, and you must pass your site's domain in Twitch's parent parameter, or the player won't load. On WordPress, 39.54% of the Twitch-embedding domains we track, plugins and page builders can generate the code.
Is embedding Twitch free?
Yes. Twitch's embedding documentation sets technical rules, such as SSL, the parent parameter and a minimum player size, but no fee. That's one reason the embedding sites in our data are so small: 71.5% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees. Our October 2026 crawl shows who takes up the offer: 1,386 domains, mostly small gaming, sports and radio sites.
How can I embed live streaming directly on my website?
Pick the platform where you already stream and use its embed. In our October 2026 crawl, 1,386 domains embed Twitch's player or chat, using Twitch's iframe or JavaScript embed with the parent parameter set to their domain. YouTube's player is far more widespread overall. Retailers selling during a live show use shoppable players such as Firework instead.
What websites do streamers use?
Mostly WordPress, link pages and a merch store. In our data WordPress runs on 39.54% of Twitch-embedding domains, and Fourthwall, a creator merch platform, on 2.74%. In a hand-classified sample of 100 Twitch-embedding domains, 22 were creators' own sites. Many streamers skip a site entirely and point a vanity domain at their Twitch channel instead.
Why did we remove 97 Twitch domains from the count?
Because they weren't websites embedding Twitch. Our crawler recorded Twitch's scripts on 97 domains that are either Twitch's own addresses or vanity domains, such as fuslie.com and esfand.tv, that forward visitors straight to a Twitch channel page. The scripts loaded because the page was Twitch itself. Removing them leaves 1,386 domains that really embed a player.
Do gambling streamers embed Twitch?
A few do. 17 of the 1,386 Twitch domains we count (1.23%) have titles about casinos, poker or betting, such as casino-streamer directories and poker schools. A few more were vanity domains forwarding to a casino streamer's Twitch channel, and those were removed with the other redirects. The remaining 17 stay in the count, but we left them out of our company list.
