A favicon of Swiper

Companies Using Swiper

Our October 2026 crawl finds Swiper on 4,380,045 live domains. Swiper is a free, MIT-licensed touch slider, so the figure counts websites carrying the library, not paying customers. Below is the list of companies that use Swiper, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Accenture on its investor site, Boeing on boeing.com, HDFC Bank on its main banking site and Johnson & Johnson on its careers site.

Swiper ranks 5th in JavaScript Libraries with a 4.98% share, and it is the largest carousel library in that table, 2.7 times OWL Carousel. Most of that reach comes through WordPress, which runs on 65.96% of Swiper domains, and Elementor, on 42.62%, whose carousel and slider widgets load the real Swiper library. In a sample of 80 Swiper pages we opened in October 2026, 28 served Elementor's own bundled copy.

Swiper Usage Statistics

Swiper reads 3,360,806 domains in June 2026, 4,027,609 in July, 4,101,364 in August, 4,319,947 in September and 4,380,045 in October. Counts are not a like-for-like series: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The July step of 666,803 reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect Swiper with, rather than a wave of new sliders. Since we began tracking Swiper on 16 March 2026, 550,496 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname, and about one in ten of those still runs it on another.

List of Companies Using Swiper

Our list of companies using Swiper covers 2,550,722 organisations matched from 4,380,045 detected domains, a 58.2% match rate. Every size, industry and country percentage on this page describes that matched set.

The named brands that use Swiper mostly run it on corporate surfaces rather than shops: careers sites for Johnson & Johnson, ADP, Cognizant and Domino's, an investor site for Accenture, and the home pages of Boeing and Huawei. 28 of the 50 were detected on a subdomain, and at least 7 load Swiper from a public CDN such as cdnjs or jsDelivr. When you review websites using Swiper at a large company, the slider usually belongs to whoever built that one site. We loaded every company named on this page in a browser, or fetched its HTML, in October 2026 and found Swiper on each.

Which Countries Use Swiper the Most?

Which countries use Swiper the most? The United States leads with 513,655 matched companies, 20.1% of the 2,550,722 we matched. Germany (170,707) and the United Kingdom (167,884) are close behind, then Brazil (159,582) and India (151,345). The US, UK, Australia and Canada together hold 32.8%, so two thirds of Swiper companies sit outside the big English-speaking markets. That spread follows where WordPress sites get built rather than where any vendor sells.

Swiper Market Share Among JavaScript Libraries

What is Swiper's market share? Swiper holds 4.98% of JavaScript Libraries and ranks 5th, behind jQuery, core-js, jQuery Migrate and jQuery UI, based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. It is the first carousel library in the table. OWL Carousel has 1,616,980 domains (1.84%) and Slick 1,560,852 (1.78%), so Swiper's 4,380,045 is 2.7 times the nearest slider. Shares count sites carrying each library, and one site can carry several.

Swiper Customers by Company Size & Age

Is Swiper only used by small businesses? Overwhelmingly, yes. 59.57% of matched companies have 1-10 employees and 84.31% have 50 or fewer, based on 2,328,958 companies with a published size band. The large-company tail is still 33,950 companies above 1,000 staff. At that size Swiper usually sits on one surface: careers sites such as careers.jnj.com and jobs.dominos.com, investor pages such as investor.accenture.com, and annual reports.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

57.94% of matched companies with a known founding year were founded in 2010 or later: 37.23% in the 2010s and 20.71% in the 2020s. The 2000s add 17.78%. 56,141 companies (4.27%) predate 1960, and the old names on our list run Swiper on corporate pages: Boeing (1916) on boeing.com, Johnson & Johnson (1887) on its careers site and Nokia (1865) on nokia.com.

What Industries Use Swiper the Most?

Construction leads at 4.37%, followed by Retail (4.14%), IT Services and IT Consulting (3.75%) and Business Consulting and Services (3.18%). The ten industries charted add up to only 28.9%, so this is a base of ordinary small-business websites in every trade, based on our enriched company data. Trade firms in our sample fit the Elementor pattern: a German carpentry business, a Californian builder and a water-damage restoration company all served Elementor's copy of Swiper with a carousel on the home page.

Business Consulting and Services70,612 (3.18%)
Advertising Services66,244 (2.99%)
Real Estate62,002 (2.8%)

Retail companies using Swiper make up 4.14%, and Shopify runs on about 5% of Swiper domains. Advertising agencies using Swiper add 2.99%. Healthcare companies on Swiper split between Medical Practices (1.84%) and Hospitals and Health Care (1.76%), and among banks using Swiper, HDFC Bank runs it on its main banking site and Scotiabank on its global site.

Swiper Alternatives & Competitors

Read this table as libraries that share sites. 395,192 domains run Swiper and Slick together today, and 78% of the 506,909 ever seen with both still have both. OWL Carousel (80.4% of 413,764) and Flickity (80.4% of 147,472) look the same, and none of these pairs passes our switching tests. One switch is on record: Elementor moved its Image Carousel and Slides widgets from Slick to Swiper in version 2.7, in 2019. That is one reason Swiper's 4,380,045 domains are 2.7 times OWL Carousel's 1,616,980.

Expert Analysis: Swiper Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

Swiper is the library nobody mentions in a pitch deck and millions of websites ship. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 4,380,045 live domains, and 2,550,722 of them match a company record, a 58.2% match rate. It ranks 5th in JavaScript Libraries with 4.98%. Swiper is free under the MIT licence, with Vladimir Kharlampidi named in its licence file, so these are sites, not customers. For a seller, the question isn't who chose Swiper. It's who built the site, because on many of these domains the choice came with a page builder, theme or plugin.

What we count

A page counts when it has Swiper's slide markup, defines the Swiper global or loads a script named swiper.js or swiper.min.js. Two things follow. First, a site can count without showing a carousel: in a random sample of 80 Swiper pages we opened in October 2026, 59 rendered a slider and 21 loaded the library with none on the page we saw. Second, the file-name test also matches Tiny-Swiper, a separate library that GoDaddy's CoBlocks plugin loads as tiny-swiper.js. CoBlocks appears on 1.07% of Swiper domains, which caps that error at about one in a hundred. Our guide to technology detection methods covers how markup and script signals differ.

Elementor is the distribution channel

WordPress runs on 65.96% of the 4,331,092 domains in our clean live set, and Elementor on 42.62%. Elementor's developers explain why. In 2019, its 2.7 release moved the Image Carousel and Slides widgets from Slick to Swiper. The 3.26 update calls Swiper "a JS-based library used by Elementor to create a slider / carousel", says older versions loaded its stylesheet on every page, and finished moving all Elementor widgets to Swiper 8. In our sample, 34 of the 80 Swiper pages ran Elementor and 28 served Elementor's own bundled copy from its plugin folder. That copy is the real library, so these are real Swiper sites. Their owners didn't pick it; Elementor did. Counting themes, plugins and Shopify stores too, 44 of the 80 sampled pages got Swiper from a builder or add-on. Old Elementor builds leave old copies behind: one Swedish property firm still loaded Swiper 5.3.6 from Elementor with no carousel on the page.

Sales signal: on a WordPress site, a Swiper detection is about two times in three an Elementor detection (42.62% against 65.96%). WordPress agencies, Elementor add-on makers and hosting companies get more from this list than JavaScript tooling vendors do.

Growth, read carefully

The chart reads 3,360,806 domains in June, 4,027,609 in July, 4,101,364 in August, 4,319,947 in September and 4,380,045 in October. I wouldn't present the July step of 666,803 as adoption. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones coming in, and our detection signals widen over time; both moved the line. Exits are large too. 550,496 domains have dropped Swiper on at least one hostname since 16 March 2026, about 12.6% of today's count, and roughly one in ten of those still runs it on another hostname. A library that rides on site templates comes and goes with redesigns.

"Swiper's reach is mostly borrowed. Elementor and the WordPress themes around it decided for millions of sites, so I'd sell to the people who build those sites, not the people who own them." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: size the market at about 4.4 million domains and expect heavy turnover. No rival slider passes our switching tests, so a domain that drops Swiper is more likely redesigned or switched off than converted, which makes it a lead for site builders.

Who the companies are

59.57% of matched companies with a size band have 1 to 10 employees and 84.31% have 50 or fewer. 57.94% were founded in 2010 or later. The 33,950 companies above 1,000 staff use Swiper on specific surfaces. Accenture loads Swiper 11.2.10 from jsDelivr on its investor site. Johnson & Johnson, ADP and Cognizant load Swiper 11.0.5 from cdnjs on their careers sites, and Concentrix runs its careers site on Elementor. Boeing, Huawei and HDFC Bank show it on their home pages, and Orange's wholesale site still serves Swiper 4.5.1, released in September 2019.

Sales signal: at a large account the Swiper owner is whoever runs one site, often a careers or investor-relations team working with an agency. A Swiper file ten major versions behind, as on Orange Wholesale, marks a site nobody has rebuilt in years.

Where it's used

The United States has 513,655 matched companies, 20.1% of the total. Germany (170,707), the United Kingdom (167,884), Brazil (159,582) and India (151,345) follow, and the four big English-speaking markets hold only 32.8% together. Industries are spread thin: Construction leads at 4.37%, then Retail (4.14%), IT Services (3.75%) and Business Consulting (3.18%), and the top ten add up to 28.9%. Trade firms in our sample, from a German carpentry business to a water-damage restoration company, ran Elementor carousels.

Sales signal: local-services marketing (reviews, booking, lead capture) fits this base better than developer tooling. Germany and Brazil are big enough to deserve their own campaigns.

Next to the other sliders

No switching pair passes our tests. Sites stack sliders: 395,192 domains run Swiper and Slick together today, and 78% of the 506,909 ever seen with both still have both. OWL Carousel and Flickity both hold at 80.4%. Slick is moving again, with 2.0.0 released on 13 September 2026 after 1.9.0 in April 2018, but on our data it mostly sits on the same sites as Swiper rather than replacing it.

"Close to 400,000 sites load Swiper and Slick together. Few teams chose two slider libraries on purpose; they collected them, one theme or plugin at a time." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: page-speed and performance vendors have a concrete pitch for sites that load two or three slider libraries. Filter for Swiper plus Slick or OWL Carousel and lead with the duplicate weight.

The stack around it

jQuery runs on 83.45% of Swiper domains, core-js on 63.25%, jQuery Migrate on 57.61% and jQuery UI on 46.49%. Bootstrap appears on 25.2% and Tailwind CSS on 10.41%. GSAP is on 18.93% and Masonry on 17.76%. Hosting leans to shared WordPress hosts, with GoDaddy on 12.14% and Hostinger on 8.43%, and some sites load Swiper from a public CDN such as jsDelivr.

Sales signal: a jQuery-heavy stack marks WordPress sites rather than modern app builds. Hosting upsells, maintenance plans and rebuild agencies will find more of their buyers here than front-end framework vendors will.

How to use this list

Split the list by Elementor first. Elementor rows are leads for WordPress agencies, add-on makers and hosts; the rest, especially sites that bundle Swiper or load it from a CDN, are more often custom front ends. A workable opener for the first group: "Your site's carousel runs on Elementor's copy of Swiper. Here's how [product] makes that page faster without a rebuild."

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Swiper?

Our October 2026 crawl finds Swiper on 4,380,045 live domains, 2,550,722 of them matched to a company. Most are small: 59.57% have 10 or fewer staff. WordPress runs on 65.96% of Swiper domains and Elementor on 42.62%. Named users include Accenture, Boeing, HDFC Bank, Johnson & Johnson and Huawei, often on careers or investor pages. Construction (4.37%) leads the industries.

How many customers does Swiper have?

Swiper has no customer count in the usual sense, because the library is free under the MIT licence. We count sites instead, and our October 2026 crawl finds it on 4,380,045 live domains. npm recorded 18,460,334 downloads of the swiper package in the 30 days to 11 October 2026. Paying users are a separate group that buys Swiper Studio or premium plugins.

What is Swiper's market share?

4.98% of JavaScript Libraries, where Swiper ranks 5th behind jQuery, core-js, jQuery Migrate and jQuery UI. It is the largest carousel library in that table, with 4,380,045 domains against OWL Carousel's 1,616,980 and Slick's 1,560,852. The share counts sites carrying the library, so a page that loads Swiper and Slick together counts for both.

What are the best alternatives to Swiper?

By footprint: OWL Carousel (1,616,980 domains), Slick (1,560,852), Flickity (637,612), Splide (220,078) and Glide.js (95,643). Most sites don't treat them as either-or. 395,192 domains run Swiper and Slick together today, and 332,813 run Swiper and OWL Carousel. If you build with Elementor, its carousel widgets already use Swiper, so adding another slider library means loading two.

Which countries use Swiper the most?

The United States, with 513,655 matched companies (20.1% of 2,550,722), then Germany (170,707), the United Kingdom (167,884), Brazil (159,582) and India (151,345). France (116,391), Spain (99,848) and the Netherlands (93,861) follow. The US, UK, Australia and Canada hold only 32.8% together, a spread that follows where WordPress sites get built.

What size companies use Swiper?

Mostly very small ones. 59.57% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 24.74% have 11 to 50, so 84.31% have 50 or fewer. 33,950 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including Accenture, Boeing and Johnson & Johnson, usually on one careers, investor or product page. The library is free at every company size.

How old are companies that use Swiper?

Among the Swiper domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (37.23%), followed by the 2020s (20.71%). That matched subset is drawn from 2,550,722 companies and is not representative of all 4,380,045 detected domains. This suggests Swiper is most popular among relatively young companies.

What is the ideal customer profile for Swiper?

The ideal Swiper customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (59.57%), Location: US, then Germany, UK, Brazil, Founded: 2010 or later (57.94%), Industry: Construction, retail and IT services, Site stack: WordPress, often built with Elementor — based on our analysis of 2,550,722 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

Is Swiper.js a library?

Yes. Swiper is a JavaScript library for touch sliders and carousels, with versions for plain JavaScript, React, Vue and Web Components. It is open source under the MIT licence, created by Vladimir Kharlampidi, and version 14.3.0 shipped on 28 September 2026. Our crawl finds it on 4,380,045 live domains, 5th among the JavaScript libraries we track.

Is Swiper free?

The library is. Swiper is MIT-licensed, so you can use it in commercial projects without paying. The paid products sit around it: Swiper Studio, a no-code slider builder, costs $8 a month, $48 a year or $96 once for an individual, and $16, $96 or $192 for a team. Premium plugins are sold separately. We checked swiperjs.com and Swiper Studio's pricing on 12 October 2026.

What is Swiper.js?

Swiper.js is an open-source slider and carousel library, created by Vladimir Kharlampidi and first published to npm in December 2014. If you were looking for the fox from Dora the Explorer, this isn't him. Our October 2026 crawl finds Swiper on 4,380,045 live domains, and Elementor uses it for its carousel and slider widgets.

Which JavaScript slider library is the best?

There's no neutral winner, but there is a clear leader by use. Swiper is on 4,380,045 domains in our crawl, 2.7 times OWL Carousel (1,616,980) and 2.8 times Slick (1,560,852). Flickity (637,612), Splide (220,078) and Glide.js (95,643) are smaller. Usage reflects defaults as much as merit: Elementor's carousels ship Swiper, so many sites never chose it themselves.

Does Elementor use Swiper?

Yes. Elementor's developer blog says it moved the Image Carousel and Slides widgets from Slick to Swiper in version 2.7, in 2019, and that version 3.26 finished moving every Elementor widget to Swiper 8. In our crawl Elementor runs on 42.62% of Swiper domains, and 28 of 80 Swiper pages we sampled served Elementor's own bundled copy of the library.

Is Swiper better than Slick?

For new builds, Swiper has the momentum. Elementor replaced Slick with Swiper in 2019, calling it more flexible and more performant. Slick went from version 1.9.0 in April 2018 to 2.0.0 on 13 September 2026, eight years without a release. It still runs on 1,560,852 domains in our crawl, against Swiper's 4,380,045, and 395,192 domains carry both.

Does Swiper work on Shopify?

Yes. About 5% of Swiper domains in our crawl run on Shopify, where the library arrives with a store theme or an app. In our sample, one Shopify store loaded Swiper from its theme files and another from jsDelivr. Swiper's own team launched Swiper Studio for Shopify in July 2026, a no-code builder that puts native Swiper sliders into a store.

How does TechnologyChecker.io detect Swiper?

We count a page when it has Swiper's slide markup (swiper-wrapper, swiper-slide and related elements), defines the Swiper global, or loads a script named swiper.js or swiper.min.js. A site can count without a visible carousel: in our sample, 21 of 80 Swiper pages loaded the library with no slider on the page we opened. The file-name test also matches Tiny-Swiper, a different library.
