Companies Using UIkit

A UIkit detection rarely tells you that someone chose UIkit. As of our October 2026 crawl, TechnologyChecker.io finds a UIkit script on 206,272 live sites, and 143,215 of them match a company record, a 69.4% match rate. Most of those sites picked a WordPress add-on or a theme, and UIkit came with it. That's useful in its own right: the add-on or theme tells you who built the site and how.

What a UIkit detection means

Our rule matches any script whose file name contains uikit and ends in .js. To see what that catches, I drew a random sample of 1,000 live UIkit domains and read the 939 pages that still returned content. 357 (38.0%) loaded bdt-uikit.min.js from BdThemes' Element Pack or Prime Slider add-ons for Elementor. That file is real UIkit: its header reads "bdtUIkit" with YOOtheme's MIT copyright, renamed with a bdt prefix. 232 (24.7%) loaded UIkit from YOOtheme Pro, 138 of them on Joomla and 91 on WordPress, and 76 more (8.1%) from YOOtheme's Widgetkit plugin or Warp-based themes.

The rest is a long tail. SpotHopper's restaurant sites account for 30, other Joomla templates and extensions for 54, other WordPress themes and plugins for 35. Only 25 loaded UIkit from a public CDN and 88 from their own servers, and 15 of those 88 were false positives: files that merely have "uikit" in the path, such as one website builder's uikit/_js/lib/require.js. On 42 pages we couldn't find UIkit on the homepage.

Sales Signal: Read the carrier before you read the company. A bdt-uikit site is an Elementor build, usually by an agency or freelancer; a YOOtheme site belongs to a YOOtheme Pro customer; only the small direct group made UIkit a front-end choice of its own.

A steady base, mostly built by others

Our current crawl window shows 178,130 UIkit sites in June 2026, 195,656 in July, 198,579 in August, 206,767 in September and 206,272 in October. Counts are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The steps reflect changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect UIkit with, rather than a surge in adoption. The flat September-to-October reading is the fairest description of where things stand.

Upstream, the project is busy. UIkit 3.25.26 reached npm on 5 October 2026, the fifth release since 9 September, and the GitHub repository credits YOOtheme as the developer. The installed base doesn't move with those releases, though. BdThemes ships its own renamed copy inside each add-on, so those sites update when the add-on does.

Sales Signal: Size territories on the October count and ignore the month-to-month slope. For timing, watch the carriers instead: a major YOOtheme Pro or Element Pack release is a better trigger than any UIkit version bump.

The companies behind the sites

The matched base is very small and fairly young. 61.49% of companies with a size band have 1-10 employees and 86.6% have 50 or fewer, and 73.74% of those with a known founding year date from 2000 or later. Construction leads the industry chart at 4.97%, ahead of Business Consulting and Services (3.62%) and Restaurants (3.59%), and Software Development is only tenth at 2.15%.

The enterprise tail is 1,430 companies above 1,000 employees. In our named list, 24 of 50 load UIkit through BdThemes' add-ons, including Shutterfly's corporate site, Frontier's newsroom and Careem's why.careem.com, and seven through YOOtheme products, including TaskUs's main site and LANXESS's media portal. The 19 others show UIkit as a deliberate build: RWE's Americas site loads a date-stamped custom bundle, and Zebra's TechDocs, Red Hat's Cool Stuff Store and Turkish Technic's careers portal each ship their own copy.

Sales Signal: At large companies, the direct-build sites are the ones with a front-end team that picked UIkit on purpose. Those are the prospects for front-end tooling, design-system or migration work. The add-on sites point you to whoever maintains the WordPress install.

Germany, Joomla and restaurants

The United States leads with 27,704 matched companies, but Germany (20,807) is at about three-quarters of that. On our Plyr page, Germany's count is under a third of the US figure, so the German weight here is specific to UIkit. It fits the vendor: YOOtheme is based in Hamburg, and Joomla, where YOOtheme Pro is strongest in our sample, appears on 23.7% of UIkit domains. The United Kingdom (7,732), Brazil (6,925), Italy (6,717) and India (6,485) follow.

Restaurants and Hospitality add up to 7,016 companies, a cluster that doesn't appear in Plyr's top ten industries. SpotHopper, a restaurant marketing platform, appears on 3.53% of UIkit domains, and its sites load UIkit, so part of that cluster is one platform's customer base.

Sales Signal: For agencies and hosts in the German-speaking market, UIkit plus Joomla is a ready-made list of YOOtheme Pro sites. For restaurant-tech vendors, filter out SpotHopper first, because those restaurants already have a platform handling their website.

Why this profile has no migration table

We tested where UIkit sites go when they drop it, and we publish nothing on purpose. Most domains that ever ran UIkit alongside a rival still run both: 49,041 domains carry UIkit and Bootstrap today, and 17,825 carry UIkit and Tailwind CSS. When a WordPress site loads two frameworks, it usually means two plugins or themes, not a migration in progress, so the switching counts didn't pass our gates.

Exits are real but noisy. 30,591 domains have dropped UIkit since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, equal to 14.8% of today's count, and fewer than one in ten of those still load it on another hostname. A drop here is more likely a site rebuilt on another theme, or an add-on switched off, than a decision about frameworks.

Sales Signal: Don't build a "leaving UIkit" campaign. A theme vendor or page-builder seller should instead target live YOOtheme and Element Pack sites, where the next redesign is the opening.

The stack around UIkit

Across the 205,612 live domains in our stack analysis, WordPress runs on 60.29%, Elementor on 42.65% and Joomla on 23.7%. Those two figures are the carriers showing through: in our sample, 354 of the 385 Elementor sites loaded UIkit from BdThemes' add-ons. jQuery runs on 86.02%, jQuery Migrate on 63.21% and jQuery UI on 46.74%. Modern JavaScript frameworks are thin: Vue.js 6.53%, React 3.71%, Next.js 0.66%. WooCommerce (10.61%) is the main shop platform, with Joomla's HikaShop and J2Store behind it.

UIkit is also served from public CDNs, including cdnjs and jsDelivr, but in our sample only 25 of 939 sites loaded it that way.

Sales Signal: This is a jQuery-era, CMS-driven base. WordPress care plans, Joomla upgrade services and page-speed tools fit it far better than anything built for React teams.

How to use this list

Pair UIkit with Joomla to reach YOOtheme Pro's core market, or with Elementor for the BdThemes add-on base. Companies with 11-200 employees, 33.62% of the matched set, are the ones past the one-person stage. Then read the detection URL: a careers, docs or shop subdomain points to a separate team or supplier, a main domain to the company's own site owner.

An opener for agency sales: "Your site at [domain] runs on [YOOtheme Pro / Element Pack], which means UIkit under the hood. When the next redesign comes up, here's how [product] fits that setup."
