Companies Using Bandsintown Events Widget
Our October 2026 count finds the Bandsintown Events Widget on 1,595 domains, and by mid-October our crawl had found it on 2,762. The gap is on our side. In October we began recognising the widget's newer address, widgetv3.bandsintown.com, and 1,111 domains were first seen that month, 1,030 of them loading the widget from there; the set of domains we crawl also turns over every month. Below is the list of companies that use Bandsintown Events Widget, with size, country and stack, drawn from those 2,762. It includes Metal Blade Records, ATO Records, OVO Sound, Def Leppard, Nile Rodgers and Chaka Khan.
The widget is free for artists, so this counts artists' websites, not paying accounts. In a random sample of 100 domains that carry it, 98 were artists' or bands' own sites or merch stores and 2 were record labels; we found no venue or promoter. It ranks 3rd of the 57 tools we track in Event & Ticket Booking, with a 5.9% share. 89.59% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff, and 54.03% of the sites run WordPress.

Bandsintown Events Widget Usage Statistics
The monthly count reads 1,646 domains in June 2026, 1,670 in July, 1,632 in August, 1,597 in September and 1,595 in October. That looks flat, but it isn't a like-for-like series: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens. It widened sharply in October, when we began recognising widgetv3.bandsintown.com. 1,111 live domains were first seen that month, so the October count understates the live footprint of 2,762. Since tracking began on 16 March 2026, 439 domains have dropped the widget on at least one hostname; 28 still run it on another, so 411 left it entirely.

Share of the 625 Bandsintown Events Widget domains we matched to a company record — 39.2% of the 1,595 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.

Seated, the other artist tour-dates widget, is 6th with 894. Tickera, 4th, is 346 domains behind Bandsintown.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Bandsintown Events Widget Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Bandsintown? Very small ones. 89.59% of the 567 matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 9.7% have 11 to 50; only 4 have more than 50. The company behind a Bandsintown site is usually the act itself or a small label. Metal Blade Records and ATO Records sit in the 11 to 50 band, and OVO Sound, at 201 to 500, is one of the largest.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Among matched companies with a founding year, 48.86% were founded in the 2010s and 32.95% in the 2000s; only 6.25% date from the 2020s. The older names are labels and long-running acts, such as The Wailers' company (1971) and Metal Blade Records (1982). Bands rarely fill in that LinkedIn field, so only 176 matched companies have a year at all.
What Industries Use Bandsintown Events Widget the Most?
Musicians lead at 39.08%, then Entertainment Providers (12.87%), Music (10.11%) and Performing Arts (7.59%), so 69.65% of the 435 matched companies with an industry are in music or performance, based on our enriched company data. The small Construction row (1.61%) is mostly LinkedIn pages that share a band's name. We took two of those out of the company list below.
Record labels using Bandsintown use it to list their artists' dates: Ed Banger Records' site pulls in Breakbot's and Busy P's, and Metal Blade Records, ATO Records and Lava Records load it too. Artist management companies on Bandsintown include FM Music Management and Phonic in Groningen. Legacy acts using Bandsintown are a large group, such as Def Leppard, The Wailers, Chaka Khan and Nile Rodgers.
Bandsintown Events Widget Alternatives & Competitors
Bandsintown's only like-for-like rival in this table is Seated, at 894 domains, and the two often share a page: 14 domains run both today, out of 17 ever seen with both. Etix overlaps on 8 (12 ever). Neither pair passes our switching tests. EventOn (45.91%), EventsCalendar.co (11.68%), Tickera (4.62%) and Eventbrite (4.46%) sell calendars or tickets to venues and organisers, not tour listings to artists.

Tech Stack of Bandsintown Events Widget-Powered Websites
These shares are of the 2,765 live Bandsintown domains. WordPress runs on 54.03%, Shopify on 22.28% and Squarespace on 7.99%, and Bandzoogle, a site builder for musicians, made 80 of the 2,386 pages we opened that load the widget. MailChimp (13.67%) leads email. Lodash (97.87%) and Underscore.js (97.9%) look universal because the widget's own script bundles Lodash, so those two rows mostly measure Bandsintown, not the sites.

How We Counted Bandsintown Sites
A domain counts here when one of its pages loads a script from a bandsintown.com address: the widget at widget.bandsintown.com or widgetv3.bandsintown.com, the rest.bandsintown.com calls the widget makes, or the old loader at www.bandsintown.com. There is no link test, so a site that only links to its Bandsintown page isn't counted, and an artist using a site builder's own Bandsintown app may not be either. The headline, 1,595 domains, is our October 2026 monthly count. Before October we recognised only the widget.bandsintown.com address; by mid-October our crawl had found the widget on 2,762 domains, 1,111 of them first seen that month. The company, country, industry and stack figures on this page come from those 2,762 (2,765 for the stack), not from the 1,595.
On 16 October 2026 we opened all 2,767 hosts in the live set. 2,438 (88.1%) loaded a working widget, 2,386 in the page source and 52 more once scripts ran. 78 timed out twice and 97 sat behind bot walls. 80 live sites no longer showed the widget on the homepage. 37 still carry only the retired bit_widget.js loader, which Bandsintown's servers now refuse with a 403 error, so their tour dates don't appear. 36 (1.3%) were dead or parked: domains that no longer resolve, broken certificates, parking landers and a domain listed for sale. Dead and retired installs together are 2.64% of the hosts we opened, under the 3% at which we would re-cut the count, so the headline stands as published.
Expert Analysis: Bandsintown Events Widget Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

The Bandsintown widget is free, so I read its count as a map of artists' websites rather than a customer list, and the first question is which number to trust. Our October 2026 monthly count says 1,595 domains. By mid-October our crawl had the widget on 2,762, because in October we began recognising its newer address, widgetv3.bandsintown.com. The company and stack figures below come from those 2,762; 625 of them match to a company. On 16 October 2026 I opened every host in that live set.
What the check found
2,438 of 2,767 hosts (88.1%) loaded a working widget, 2,386 in the page source and 52 once scripts ran. 78 never answered in time, but they look slow rather than dead: of the 361 slow hosts we fetched a second time, 306 loaded the widget. 97 sat behind bot walls. 36 were dead or parked, and 37 carry only the retired bit_widget.js loader, which Bandsintown's servers now refuse with a 403. Those sites still look like Bandsintown installs to anyone reading the HTML, but no tour dates appear. Dead and retired together are 2.64% of the hosts, small enough that the count stands.
Sales signal: a site that still runs the old loader has a broken tour page. For a web designer who works with musicians, that is a specific, checkable reason to get in touch.
Who puts it on their site
In a random sample of 100 domains that carry the widget, 98 were artists' or bands' own sites or merch stores, four of them stores, and 2 were record labels. No venue, promoter or festival turned up, which fits Bandsintown's split: venues get a separate product, Bandsintown Pro. The account IDs we could read almost never repeat, and none sits on more than 4 domains. The biggest shared element is a builder. Bandzoogle, a website platform for musicians, made 80 of the 2,386 widget pages we opened, and each of those carries the artist's own Bandsintown name.
Sales signal: treat the list as one act per domain. The labels on it, Metal Blade Records, ATO Records, Ed Banger Records and Lava Records among them, are the accounts with several artists behind one site.
Flat line, bigger footprint
The monthly count reads 1,646 in June, 1,670 in July, 1,632 in August, 1,597 in September and 1,595 in October. That flat line isn't a like-for-like series: the domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our detection widens. In October it widened a lot. Of the 1,111 live domains first seen that month, 1,030 load the widget from widgetv3, the newer address. Since we started tracking on 16 March 2026, 439 domains dropped the widget on at least one hostname and 28 still run it on another, so 411 left it entirely.
"The widget's monthly count looks flat, but its live footprint is closer to 2,800 domains. Most of the difference is sites on Bandsintown's newer widget address, which we only began counting in October." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: size the market from the live 2,762, not the 1,595.
Small acts, wider map
89.59% of the 567 matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and 69.65% of those with an industry are in music or performance. Where Seated is an American tool, Bandsintown travels. The United States has 321 matched companies, but the United Kingdom has 41, France 23, the Netherlands 22 and Germany 18; the European countries in our top 15 add up to 159, about half the American figure. Only 6.25% were founded in the 2020s; 48.86% date from the 2010s and 32.95% from the 2000s.
Sales signal: for a European music service, this is a better-qualified list than Seated's, because the artists are already there.
Bandsintown next to Seated
Seated is the other tour-dates widget in our data, at 894 domains. 14 domains run both today, out of 17 ever seen with both, and Etix sits beside Bandsintown on 8 (12 ever). None of these pairs passes our switching tests. One artist's site we opened loads Bandsintown and Seated side by side, with Bandsintown's ticket links tagged with the record label's app ID, so artists add a second listing rather than drop the first.
"Artists don't treat tour widgets as either-or. Of 17 sites we've seen running Bandsintown and Seated, 14 still run both." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: Seated's sales team can work this list without displacing anything, and the 14 shared sites show the two coexist.
The stack around it
These shares are of the 2,765 live domains. WordPress runs on 54.03%, Elementor on 12.15% and WooCommerce on 11.79%; Shopify is on 22.28% and Squarespace on 7.99%. MailChimp leads email at 13.67%, with Klaviyo on 5.21%. Lodash (97.87%) and Underscore.js (97.9%) are noise for this page, because the widget's own script bundles Lodash.
Sales signal: a WordPress theme or plugin seller aimed at musicians reaches more than half this list.
What Bandsintown charges
The widget is one of Bandsintown's free artist tools, per its widget page. Artists pay for reach instead: the email builder includes 10,000 free emails a month, then $0.002 per email to the artist's own contacts and $0.06 to Bandsintown followers, according to the help centre. Boost, added in June 2026, promotes a single show across Bandsintown's app, site and emails for a one-time $50 to $500, set by venue capacity. Venues use Bandsintown Pro, which has a free tier and promoted email campaigns from $150. Bandsintown's about page claims 110 million registered users and 700,000 artists.
Sales signal: the widget costs nothing, so price isn't why artists leave it. Pitch what it doesn't do.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Bandsintown Events Widget?
Artists, mostly independent ones, plus some record labels. In a random sample of 100 domains that carry the widget, 98 were artists' or bands' own sites or merch stores and 2 were labels; we found no venue or promoter. Named users include Metal Blade Records, ATO Records, OVO Sound, Def Leppard and Nile Rodgers. 89.59% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff.
How many customers does Bandsintown Events Widget have?
Bandsintown says it has 700,000 artists and 110 million registered users. Our crawl counts websites carrying its tour-dates widget: 1,595 domains in the October 2026 monthly count, and 2,762 by mid-October, after we began recognising the newer widget address. The widget is free, so these are sites rather than paying accounts. 439 domains have dropped it since March 2026.
What is Bandsintown Events Widget's market share?
5.9% of Event & Ticket Booking, 3rd of the 57 tools we track there, on 1,595 domains. EventOn (12,401) and EventsCalendar.co (3,155) are bigger, but both are calendars for WordPress and other sites, not artist tools. Among tour-dates widgets Bandsintown leads clearly: Seated, the nearest, is 6th with 894 domains. Tickera, 4th, is 346 domains behind.
What are the best alternatives to Bandsintown Events Widget?
Seated is the direct alternative: a tour-dates widget for artists' sites, on 894 domains in our October count, with waitlists and presale tools on top. 14 domains run both today. Songkick's Tourbox widget also lists tour dates, but it isn't one of the 57 tools in our category table, so we have no count for it. Etix and Eventbrite sell tickets rather than list them, and EventOn is a WordPress calendar aimed at venues and organisers.
Which countries use Bandsintown Events Widget the most?
The United States, with 321 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (41), France (23), the Netherlands (22), Canada (20), Germany (18) and Spain (17). Europe is stronger here than on Seated's list: European countries in our top 15 add up to 159 companies, about half the American figure. These counts cover the 625 Bandsintown domains we matched to a company.
What size companies use Bandsintown Events Widget?
Very small ones. 89.59% of the 567 matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 9.7% have 11 to 50, while only 4 list more than 50 staff. That's because the company is usually the act itself or a small label, such as Metal Blade Records or ATO Records. OVO Sound, at 201 to 500 employees, is one of the largest on the list.
How old are companies that use Bandsintown Events Widget?
Among the 176 matched companies with a founding year, 48.86% were founded in the 2010s and 32.95% in the 2000s, and only 6.25% in the 2020s. The older ones are labels and long-running acts, such as The Wailers' company (1971) and Metal Blade Records (1982). Most bands never fill in a founding year on LinkedIn, so treat this chart as a thin sample.
What is the ideal customer profile for Bandsintown Events Widget?
The ideal Bandsintown Events Widget customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (89.59%), Location: United States, then UK, France, Netherlands, Customer type: Independent artists, bands and small labels, Site platform: WordPress site or Shopify merch store, Founded: 2010-2019 (48.86%) — based on our analysis of 625 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
Is Bandsintown free for artists?
Yes for the widget: Bandsintown lists it among its free tools for artists. Its email builder includes 10,000 free emails a month, then $0.002 per email to your own contacts and $0.06 per email to Bandsintown followers. Promotion is the paid part: Boost puts one show in promoted slots for a one-time $50 to $500, set by venue capacity, and venues on Bandsintown Pro, which has a free tier, can buy promoted email campaigns from $150. Checked 1 November 2026.
What is Bandsintown used for?
Fans use the Bandsintown app to follow artists and hear about nearby shows. Artists use Bandsintown for Artists to publish tour dates and reach those fans, and the website widget this page counts puts the same dates, ticket links and RSVPs on the artist's own site. Labels use it to show their roster's dates, as Ed Banger Records does for Breakbot and Busy P.
Is Bandsintown still active?
Yes. The widget is on 1,595 domains in our October 2026 monthly count, and in mid-October we found 1,111 more domains we hadn't counted before, nearly all loading its newer widget address. Some installs are stale, though: 37 sites we opened carry only the retired bit_widget.js loader, which Bandsintown's servers now refuse, so their tour dates no longer show.
How popular is Bandsintown?
Bandsintown's about page claims 110 million registered users, 700,000 artists, 400 million monthly event recommendations and 20 million monthly clicks to buy tickets. Our own measure is narrower: its widget runs on 1,595 domains in the October 2026 monthly count, 3rd in Event & Ticket Booking, and on 2,762 domains by mid-October once we counted its newer widget address.
Is Bandsintown Ticketmaster?
No. Bandsintown is a separate company, Bandsintown, LLC, and it doesn't sell tickets itself: its about page tells fans to buy from official ticket sellers, and the widget shows each date with its ticket link. Bandsintown is one of Ticketmaster's listed distribution partners, which is how Ticketmaster dates and ticket links reach its app, but the two are separate companies. Seated, the rival tour-dates widget, has its own 2026 Ticketmaster partnership on waitlists for sold-out shows.
Is Bandsintown legit?
Yes. Record labels and established acts run it on their official sites: we checked Metal Blade Records, ATO Records, OVO Sound, Def Leppard and Nile Rodgers on 16 October 2026, and all of them load the widget. Bandsintown's about page lists Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish and Imagine Dragons among the artists who use it.
How do I add the Bandsintown widget to my website?
In Bandsintown for Artists, customise the widget, click Copy Code and paste it into your site; the help centre has steps for Wix, Squarespace, Bandzoogle and WordPress. If the widget breaks, use your artist ID (ID_ plus the number in your Bandsintown URL) and remove old Bandsintown code. That second step matters: 37 sites in our crawl still run the retired loader.
What's better, Bandsintown or Seated?
For reach, Bandsintown: its widget is on 1,595 domains against Seated's 894, it is free, and it ties into a fan app Bandsintown says has 110 million registered users. Seated leans to bigger American tours and sells waitlists and presale tools, and Warner Music's artist-services platform carries it on the artist sites we opened. Many artists don't choose: 14 domains run both today.
