Companies Using Etix
Our October 2026 crawl found 690 domains that sell tickets through Etix, 8th of the 57 technologies in our Event & Ticket Booking table with a 2.55% share. This is the list of companies that use Etix: music clubs, casino showrooms, county and state fairs, theatres, museums, minor-league hockey teams and heritage railways, almost all in the United States. Isleta Resort & Casino, Keeneland, the Strasburg Rail Road and the Milwaukee Art Museum are among them.
Etix isn't embedded on these sites; what we detect is a link that opens an Etix ticket page, and a link can point at someone else's event. In a random sample of 50 linking sites, 31 were the venue or organiser selling its own tickets, 17 were performers and producers linking to the venue's page and 2 were a TV station and a music agency. So we removed 333 of 1,023 domains that link to other people's Etix events. The method is at the end of this page.

Etix Usage Statistics
How many websites sell tickets through Etix? 690 domains in October 2026, the only point on the chart because this cleaned count starts with the October crawl. Exits look high: 498 domains dropped an Etix link since tracking began in March 2026. That figure runs on the raw link signal, before the October cleaning, so it includes performers' sites whose links lapse once a show has passed; 52 of those still link to Etix from another hostname. The set of domains we crawl also turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time.

Which Countries Use Etix the Most?
Which countries use Etix the most? The United States, by a wide margin: 445 of the 479 matched companies with a known country (92.9%). Germany is a distant second with 21; the German sites we opened, such as an ice hockey club and a choir event, link to the same etix.com ticket pages. No other country has more than 3. For a seller, the Etix list is a US list, and a regional one: county fairs, tribal casinos and small-city venues, based on our enriched company data.
Share of the 486 Etix domains we matched to a company record — 70.4% of the 690 we detect. Top 10 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Etix Market Share Among Event & Ticket Booking
What is Etix's market share? 2.55% of Event & Ticket Booking, 8th of 57 technologies by domain count at TechnologyChecker.io, on the cleaned count of 690. The table isn't like for like. EventOn (12,401) and EventsCalendar.co (3,155) are calendars, the Bandsintown widget (1,595) lists artists' tour dates and Tickera (1,249) is a WordPress plugin. The nearest ticketing rows, Eventbrite (1,206) and Seated (894), both sit above it, as does Evvnt (886).
Top Competitors by Market Share
Etix Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Etix? 56.72% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 27.51% have 11 to 50, which fits independent clubs and fair boards. The bigger organisations are casino resorts such as Isleta, Cache Creek and Gun Lake, in the 1,001-to-5,000 band (2.56%), and universities selling arts-centre tickets, such as Pepperdine's Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded before 1960 (25.73%), ahead of the 2010s (20.47%). That's unusual for a web technology and comes from what Etix sells to: state and county fairs, racecourses, historic theatres and heritage railways, institutions that were selling tickets long before the web. Keeneland and the Strasburg Rail Road are two examples.
What Industries Use Etix the Most?
Entertainment Providers lead at 19.05%, followed by Performing Arts (11.76%), Entertainment (7%) and three groups at 6.44% each: Restaurants, Spectator Sports and Events Services, based on our enriched company data. Musicians still make up 5.04%. Some are venues that LinkedIn files under music, and some are acts our cleaning missed, so read that row with care.
Music venues using Etix, such as The Grey Eagle in Asheville, Harlow's in Sacramento and Yoshi's in Oakland, are the core. Casinos on Etix sell showroom seats: Isleta, River Spirit, Tachi Palace and Meskwaki all link to their own Etix pages. Sports teams using Etix include the Kalamazoo Wings and Wheeling Nailers, and attractions range from the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame to the Strasburg Rail Road.
Etix Alternatives & Competitors
Of the rows in this table, few sell tickets the way Etix does. Eventbrite (1,206 domains, 4.46%) is a hosted marketplace; Seated (894, 3.31%) partners with artists to sell their tour dates. Both now sit above Etix on our cleaned count. The Bandsintown widget often sits beside Etix on the same site: 8 domains run both today. Ticketmaster isn't in this category table, and TicketSpice (165) and Dice (130) are much smaller.

That's a lighter, more mixed stack than a WordPress plugin's, because Etix needs nothing on the site but a link. Google Analytics is on 72.32%. How We Counted Etix Customers
A domain enters our raw count when a page on it carries a link that opens an Etix ticket page (etix.com/ticket/) in a new tab, or sets Etix's own page variable. In October 2026 that was 1,023 domains. When we fetched the homepages we could reach, 807 of 1,010 still carried such a link in the page source, and none set the variable, so this is a link count, not an embed count.
A link names where a ticket is sold, not who sells it. We drew 50 linking sites at random and read each one: 31 were the venue, fair, museum or team linking to its own Etix storefront; 17 were performers and producers (comedians, bands, a dance school, a touring party) linking to the venue's Etix page for their show; 2 were third parties, a Fort Wayne TV station and a German music agency. We then sorted all fetched sites by their links. Sites whose links point at one act playing many venues, plus the sampled non-sellers, were removed outright (101 domains). Sites with a single link whose own name doesn't match the venue in it were removed as probable non-sellers (232). In the sample, that second rule was right 11 times out of 13; the rule that kept sites as sellers wrongly kept 2 resident companies out of 31.
That leaves 690 domains, the figure every chart and table on this page uses. Expect a few venues among the 333 removed and a few performers among the 690. One-operator fleets don't move the count: the largest is the Funny Bone and Improv chain's eight club domains, all redirecting to funnybone.com.
Expert Analysis: Etix Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Etix is a different kind of page from the plugins and widgets in this category. Nothing from Etix runs on these websites; what our crawl finds is a link that opens an Etix ticket page. Before writing anything for sales teams I fetched the 1,010 homepages I could reach and read the links themselves, because a link only tells you where a ticket is sold, not who is selling it. As of our October 2026 crawl, after removing the sites that link to other people's events, 690 domains sell tickets through Etix, and we matched 486 to a company.
1. Growth trajectory
There's no trend to read yet: the cleaned count has one point, October 2026. The number to watch is exits. 498 domains dropped an Etix link since tracking began in March 2026, counted on the raw link signal before our cleaning, and 52 of them still link to Etix from another hostname. Links are fragile: when a show passes and the homepage changes, the link goes and the domain drops out, even though the venue may never have left Etix. The domains we crawl also change every month, with dead sites leaving and new ones arriving, and our detection widens over time.
"Etix shows 498 link exits since March, counted before we removed performers' sites. Before you call any of it churn, check whether the venue still sells on Etix; often the homepage has moved on to the next show." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: A domain that dropped Etix is not a churned Etix customer. Check whether the venue still sells on Etix before pitching a replacement.
2. Who the customer is
I drew 50 link-carrying sites at random. 31 were the seller: venues, fairs, festivals, museums and teams linking to their own Etix storefront. 17 were performers and producers linking to the venue's Etix page for their show, such as a comedian's site pointing at a club's listing or a dance school pointing at the arts centre where its recital runs. The other 2 were third parties, a Fort Wayne TV station and a German music agency. On that evidence we removed 333 of the 1,023 linking domains, which is how the count fell to 690. The cleaning isn't perfect: Musicians are still 5.04% of matched companies, partly venues that LinkedIn files under music.
Sales Signal: Filter out sites whose industry is Musicians or Broadcast Media before outreach. The venue they link to is the account you want.
3. Customer profile
Among matched companies, 56.72% have 1 to 10 employees and 27.51% have 11 to 50. The largest age group is the oldest: 25.73% were founded before 1960, ahead of the 2010s at 20.47%, which reflects state fairs, racecourses, historic theatres and railways. The verified names show the range: Keeneland, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Kalamazoo Wings and casino showrooms at Isleta, River Spirit and Tachi Palace. Etix's own client pages group buyers the same way, by venue type, though I didn't use them as evidence for any single name.
Sales Signal: Sell to the box office manager. At a casino or fair that person sits inside a large organisation, but the decision on ticketing tools sits with them.
4. Industry and geography
This is a US list: 445 of 479 matched companies with a known country are American. Germany has 21; nobody else has more than 3. Entertainment Providers lead the industries at 19.05%, with Performing Arts at 11.76% and Spectator Sports at 6.44%. Gambling Facilities and Casinos is 3.08% by count, and casino showrooms sell seats all year.
Sales Signal: Build state-by-state lists. Fairs, tribal casinos and small-city venues buy regionally and talk to each other.
5. Switching and overlaps
We publish no switching table for Etix; none of the flows passed our tests, and with a link-based signal they would mostly be shows ending rather than vendors changing. What we can see is overlap. Today 8 domains run both Etix and EventOn, 8 run Etix and the Bandsintown widget, 2 run Etix and Seated, and 1 runs Etix and Eventbrite. Those are sites mixing a calendar or a tour widget with Etix links, not sites caught mid-switch.
"When a venue changes ticketing company, our data shows no flow: the ticket link points at a new host. Watch contract renewals instead." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: Competing ticketing vendors should watch contract timing, not our churn line. The overlap sites, where a calendar plugin sits next to Etix links, are good prospects for anyone selling event-page tools.
6. Technology ecosystem
Across our 690 cleaned Etix domains, WordPress runs on 55.94%, Wix on 7.1% and Squarespace on 6.67%. That's a much lighter stack than the WordPress plugins in this category, because Etix asks nothing of the site but a link. Google Analytics runs on 72.32%, while email tools are rare: Mailchimp 6.81%, Constant Contact 2.9%. Etix holds the ticket buyer's data, so these venues have little reason to run their own list.
Sales Signal: Website and marketing agencies have room here. Many of these venues run a template site with a ticket button and no email capture of their own.
7. What buyers say
In the 22 Capterra reviews we read, from venue staff and ticket buyers, the most common praise is easy buying and selling and the most common complaint is unresponsive customer service, followed by refused or delayed refunds. Etix's support centre says it has operated as a primary ticketing provider since 2000, and its business site doesn't publish a fee schedule. The company is based in Morrisville, North Carolina, and it is backed by Parthenon Capital Partners, which completed a growth recapitalization in July 2017; founder Travis Janovich is CEO.
Sales Signal: For a rival ticketing company, buyer trust and fee transparency are the openings. Lead with what the venue's customers see at checkout.
Key takeaways
- 690 domains sell tickets through Etix, 8th of 57 in Event & Ticket Booking with a 2.55% share.
- Raw links overstate it: 333 of 1,023 linking domains pointed at someone else's Etix event.
- The base is American (445 of 479), small and old: 25.73% of matched companies were founded before 1960.
- High exits (498, on the raw link count) likely reflect links expiring with shows, not venues leaving Etix.
- Eventbrite and Seated are the nearest rivals in our table; Ticketmaster isn't in it.
Sales applications
Outreach template: "Your box office sells through Etix and your website links buyers straight to it. Here's how [product] gets those buyers back to your own site for the next show."
Targeting strategy: On TechnologyChecker.io, filter Etix sites to Entertainment Providers, Performing Arts, Spectator Sports and Gambling Facilities, then drop Musicians and Broadcast Media. What's left is mostly sellers.
Competitive angle: Compare against Eventbrite for organisers who want a marketplace and Seated for artist-led sales.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Etix?
Mostly US venues and organisers that sell their own tickets: music clubs, casino showrooms, county and state fairs, theatres, museums, racecourses and minor-league sports teams. Sites we checked in October 2026 include Isleta Resort & Casino, Keeneland, the Strasburg Rail Road, the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Kalamazoo Wings. Performers who only link to a venue's Etix page aren't counted.
How many customers does Etix have?
Our October 2026 crawl counts 690 domains that sell tickets through Etix, and we matched 486 of them to a company. The raw link count was 1,023; we removed 333 domains that link to someone else's Etix event, such as a band's tour page or a local TV station. A few venues may sit among those removed.
What is Etix's market share?
Etix holds 2.55% of the Event & Ticket Booking category on TechnologyChecker.io, 8th of 57 technologies by domain count, on our cleaned count of 690. The leaders are calendars and widgets rather than ticketing companies. Among ticket sellers in the table, Eventbrite (1,206) and Seated (894) are above Etix, and Ticketmaster isn't in the table.
What are the best alternatives to Etix?
In our category table the closest ticketing rows are Eventbrite (1,206 domains), a hosted marketplace, and Seated (894), which partners with artists to sell tickets to their shows. TicketSpice (165) and Dice (130) are smaller. Ticketmaster and AudienceView aren't in this table. Etix's own list is weighted to fairs, casinos and independent venues.
Which countries use Etix the most?
The United States, overwhelmingly. 445 of the 479 matched companies with a known country are American (92.9%), according to our enriched company data. Germany is a distant second with 21, and no other country has more than 3. Etix's own support pages describe it as a primary ticketing provider for venues, theaters, fairs and festivals.
What size companies use Etix?
Mostly small ones: 56.72% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 27.51% have 11 to 50. The larger end is casino resorts and university arts centres. Size isn't a good proxy for ticket volume here, so don't rank these accounts by headcount.
How old are companies that use Etix?
Older than most web users. In our enriched company data, 25.73% of matched companies were founded before 1960, the largest group, and 20.47% in the 2010s. The old group is fairs, racecourses, historic theatres and heritage railways, organisations that sold tickets long before the web and now sell them through Etix, such as Keeneland.
What is the ideal customer profile for Etix?
The ideal Etix customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (56.72%), Location: United States (445 of 479), Founded: Pre-1960 (25.73%) or 2010s (20.47%), Organisation: Music venues, casinos, fairs, theatres, Signal: Own ticket link to etix.com — based on our analysis of 486 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
Is Etix a legitimate company?
Yes. Etix describes itself as a primary ticketing provider operating since 2000, selling on behalf of venues, theaters, music clubs, festivals and fairs. Our October 2026 crawl found 690 domains selling through Etix, including long-running institutions such as Keeneland and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. Buy through the link on the venue's own site to be safe.
What company owns Etix?
Etix is based in Morrisville, North Carolina. It is privately held and backed by Parthenon Capital Partners, a Boston and San Francisco private equity firm that completed a growth recapitalization of Etix in July 2017 and still lists it as an active investment. Founder Travis Janovich, who earlier led a management buyout backed by OFS Capital, is chief executive.
How much are Etix fees?
Etix doesn't publish a fee schedule on its business homepage, and its support centre says event policies such as refunds are set by the venue or organiser rather than Etix. Fees therefore differ by event. We don't measure prices, so we can't give an average; check the order summary on the specific Etix ticket page before buying.
Is Etix better than Ticketmaster?
We can't rate quality, and Ticketmaster isn't in our Event & Ticket Booking table, so we have no like-for-like count. What our data shows is who Etix serves: 690 domains, mostly small US venues, fairs and casinos, with 56.72% of matched companies at 1 to 10 employees. That's a different customer from arena-scale promoters.
Why do performers' websites link to Etix?
Because the venue sells the tickets. A comedian or band lists tour dates and links each one to the venue's ticket page, which for many US clubs is on Etix. In our sample of 50 linking sites, 17 were performers or producers. We removed sites like these from our count, 333 domains in all, so the 690 are mostly sellers.
What other event tools do Etix sites use?
Mostly simple website builders. WordPress runs on 55.94% of our cleaned Etix domains, Wix on 7.1% and Squarespace on 6.67%. Event widgets overlap a little: 8 domains run both Etix and the Bandsintown widget today, and 8 run both Etix and EventOn. Google Analytics is on 72.32%, while email tools such as Mailchimp (6.81%) are rare.
