We found Tickera's ticketing script on 1,249 domains in our October 2026 crawl, 4th of the 57 technologies in our Event & Ticket Booking table with a 4.62% share. This is the list of companies that use Tickera: theatres, clubs, conferences, charities and sports clubs that sell their own tickets from a WordPress site, among them the Upright Citizens Brigade, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Judo Canada and Bogotá's Teatro Nacional.

What we count is the paid build. Our rule reads Tickera's script under /plugins/tickera/; the free WordPress.org version installs into a different folder (we checked its download), so it isn't in this number. Of the 1,118 homepages we fetched that still load the script, 725 also load the paid Bridge for WooCommerce add-on and 331 load Seating Charts. The buyers are small and more European than American: German, Dutch, British, Spanish and Belgian companies together outnumber US ones.

Tickera Usage Statistics

How many websites use Tickera? 1,249 domains in October 2026, the chart's last point, up from 1,001 in June. Don't read that as 248 new customers: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. Exits we can count: 176 domains dropped Tickera since we began tracking it in March 2026, and 16 of those still run it on another hostname. When we fetched every homepage in October, 41 of 1,244 (3.30%) were dead, parked or showing a holding page.

List of Companies Using Tickera

Who uses Tickera? This list of companies that use Tickera names 50 of the 786 Tickera domains we matched to a company. We fetched every row in October 2026 and each one still serves Tickera's script; we replaced 13 earlier candidates that didn't, that blocked us or that no longer answered. 17 of the 50 run Tickera on a subdomain such as tickets.paacolorado.org or events.businesspost.ie, so the Tickera customer is often the team behind one ticket shop rather than the whole organisation. One-operator fleets barely register: the largest is Inmobiliare, the Mexican real-estate publisher, with six domains, and no other owner has more than four.

Which Countries Use Tickera the Most?

Which countries use Tickera the most? The United States has the most matched companies, 188, but Europe holds more: Germany (92), the Netherlands (79), the United Kingdom (54), Spain (40), Belgium (35), Italy (26) and France (19) add up to 345, nearly twice the US figure. Canada (37) and Australia (34) follow. These counts cover the Tickera domains we could match to a company in our enriched company data, so read them as a ranking of countries, not a census.

Tickera Market Share Among Event & Ticket Booking

What is Tickera's market share? 4.62% of Event & Ticket Booking, 4th of the 57 technologies we track there, counting domains at TechnologyChecker.io. The three above it do a different job. EventOn (12,401 domains) is an events-calendar plugin, EventsCalendar.co (3,155) is a calendar widget sold mostly to Shopify stores, and Bandsintown's widget (1,595) lists artists' tour dates. Eventbrite, 5th with 1,206, is the nearest ticketing rival, but it is a hosted marketplace: organisers who put it on their site embed Eventbrite's checkout rather than run their own.

Tickera Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Tickera? Small ones. 65.62% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 22.25% have 11 to 50, so almost nine in ten have 50 staff or fewer. Only 8 have more than 1,000. Larger names tend to run Tickera on one event shop: Ametller Origen, the Catalan food retailer, sells cooking workshops on tallers.ametllerorigen.com, and ANT Italia sells charity gifts on regalisolidali.ant.it.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (37.07%), with the 2000s at 18.1% and the 2020s at 13.79%. At the other end, 8.05% predate 1960: orchestras, museums and sports federations such as the Madison Symphony Orchestra (1925) and Judo Canada (1956). Old institutions and young event businesses buy the same thing here, a way to sell tickets without handing the buyer to a marketplace.

What Industries Use Tickera the Most?

Events Services leads at 8.98%, followed by Non-profit Organizations (7.24%), Entertainment Providers (5.2%), Recreational Facilities (4.57%) and Performing Arts (3.94%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 9%. What these buyers share is a job rather than a sector: each runs its own events, from conferences to galas to club nights, and wants the ticket money paid into its own payment account.

Non-profit Organizations46 (7.24%)
Entertainment Providers33 (5.2%)
Recreational Facilities29 (4.57%)
Performing Arts25 (3.94%)
Spectator Sports24 (3.78%)

Event organisers using Tickera are the largest group at 8.98%, from Why Summits' conferences in Bratislava to the Business Post's events in Dublin. Non-profits on Tickera (7.24%) sell gala seats and charity gifts: ANT Italia and Fondazione Renato Piatti both run Tickera on their giving subdomains. Theatres and clubs using Tickera include Teatro Nacional in Bogotá, DupleX in Prague and ColdTowne Theater in Austin, based on our enriched company data.

Tickera Alternatives & Competitors

The table ranks by domains, and of the three rows above Tickera only EventOn can sell tickets, through a paid add-on that loaded on 494 of the 10,777 EventOn homepages we fetched in October. EventsCalendar.co and the Bandsintown widget list events and send buyers elsewhere. Eventbrite (1,206 domains, 4.46%) is the closest alternative, a hosted marketplace. Tickera's direct rivals, other WordPress ticketing plugins such as FooEvents and Event Tickets, aren't in this table.

Expert Analysis: Tickera Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Sophie Clarke
Sophie ClarkeProduct Marketing Manager, TechnologyChecker

I work on how our data reads to sales teams, so for this page I started with a plain question: when we say a site "uses Tickera", what is it running? As of our October 2026 crawl the answer is 1,249 domains running the paid Tickera build, 786 of them matched to a company. To check the count I fetched the homepages of 1,244 of the 1,245 domains in our cleaned list and loaded the 50 companies below one by one.

1. Growth trajectory

The chart goes from 1,001 domains in June to 1,249 in October. I wouldn't sell on that slope. The set of domains we crawl changes every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones coming in, and our detection widens over time, so part of any rise is us seeing more. What I'd trust more is the exit count: 176 domains dropped Tickera since we started tracking it in March 2026, and 16 of those still run it on another hostname. My own fetch adds a cleanliness figure: 41 of 1,244 homepages (3.30%) were dead or holding pages. Ten domains no longer resolve, 15 didn't answer on two tries, six show coming-soon or maintenance pages, and the rest are parked, suspended, error pages or now redirect to another ticket seller.

"Tickera sells a licence that keeps working after it lapses. So 1,249 is sites running Tickera, not 1,249 renewals, and a seller should treat it as an installed base." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: This is a small, steady base, not a fast-growing one. Sell to it on what it already does (running its own ticket shop) rather than on momentum. At 3.30%, dead sites are a small cost when you prospect this list.

2. Customer profile

65.62% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and another 22.25% have 11 to 50. Founding dates skew young, with 37.07% from the 2010s, but there's a real tail of institutions: 8.05% were founded before 1960. The names I checked in a browser show both ends. The Upright Citizens Brigade, the Madison Symphony Orchestra, Judo Canada and Denmark's Frederiksborg Castle museum sit beside small club, conference and school sites. Tickera doesn't publish a customer list I could fetch, so none of these are vendor-confirmed; each one is confirmed by its own page loading the script. 17 of the 50 run Tickera on a subdomain, such as tickets.paacolorado.org or events.businesspost.ie.

Sales Signal: The buyer is usually one person who runs events and also runs the website. At larger organisations, find the team that owns the ticket subdomain, not central IT.

3. Industry and geography

No industry passes 9%. Events Services leads at 8.98%, then Non-profit Organizations (7.24%), Entertainment Providers (5.2%), Recreational Facilities (4.57%) and Performing Arts (3.94%). The map is the more useful split. The US has the most matched companies, 188, but seven European countries in the table add up to 345: Germany (92), the Netherlands (79), the UK (54), Spain (40), Belgium (35), Italy (26) and France (19). For a WordPress plugin priced in dollars, that's a European customer base.

Sales Signal: If you sell payment, check-in hardware or event marketing, the Dutch, German and Belgian slices are dense enough to work as their own lists. Pitch in the local language; most of these sites aren't in English.

4. Switching and exits

We have no switching table for Tickera: no rival in this category showed a flow of domains large enough to pass our tests. The exits we can see are spread thin, 176 domains over seven months, and some of them are sites that ended an event series. One exit in my dead-page sample was telling: a festival domain now redirects to a different ticket seller's white-label page. That's the switch a seller should expect, from self-hosted ticketing to a promoter's platform when an event outgrows the website.

"The risk to a Tickera site is the day its event gets big enough that someone hands ticketing to a larger platform." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: For a hosted ticketing company, the prospects are Tickera sites with growing event calendars and seating charts. For a WordPress agency, it's the ones still on old Elementor or Divi builds that need upkeep.

5. Technology ecosystem

Across 1,245 of our 1,249 Tickera domains, WordPress is on all of them and WooCommerce on 73.25%. My homepage fetch explains why: 725 of the 1,118 homepages that load Tickera also load Bridge for WooCommerce, so most Tickera sites take payment through WooCommerce. 331 load Seating Charts. Page builders are common, with Elementor on 39.2% and Divi on 11.08%. Marketing tooling is light: Mailchimp is on 9.56% and Brevo on 3.53%, while Google Analytics runs on 57.03%.

Sales Signal: Email and CRM are the gap. Even Mailchimp, the most common email tool here, is on fewer than one in ten of these sites, yet every one of them collects buyer emails at checkout.

6. What the free build tells us

The 30 latest WordPress.org reviews we read, on the free version's listing, overwhelmingly praise fast, helpful support; the few complaints concern theme compatibility, missing basics and dated parts. That listing also tells us something else. Tickera on WordPress.org reports 2,000+ active installations and installs into its own folder, which our rule doesn't read. The paid pricing page lists Standard at $149 for the first year, Bundle at $199 and Lifetime at $399, all with 0% commission on ticket sales. The add-on data says buyers use the paid extras: 725 of the 1,118 homepages I fetched load the WooCommerce bridge.

Sales Signal: These are people who chose to pay a flat licence rather than a per-ticket fee. Lead with cost per ticket, not features.

Key takeaways

  1. 1,249 domains run the paid Tickera build, 4th of 57 in Event & Ticket Booking with a 4.62% share.
  2. The base is small (65.62% with 1 to 10 staff) and European-heavy (345 companies in seven European countries to 188 US).
  3. Most sites sell through WooCommerce; 725 of 1,118 homepages load the bridge add-on.
  4. The list is clean: 3.30% of homepages were dead or holding pages in October.
  5. The main competitor in our table is a hosted marketplace, Eventbrite, rather than another plugin.

Sales applications

Outreach template: "You sell tickets from your own WordPress site with Tickera and WooCommerce. Most organisers like you lose the buyer's email to a marketing tool they never set up. Here's how [product] turns your ticket buyers into a list you can sell the next event to."

Targeting strategy: Filter Tickera sites on TechnologyChecker.io by country (Netherlands, Germany, Belgium), then by 11 to 200 employees. That leaves organisations big enough to buy and small enough to decide quickly.

Competitive angle: Compare against Eventbrite on fees and on owning the customer. For calendar-first sites, EventOn users are the adjacent list.

The full list of 1,249 Tickera domains, with the 786 matched companies, is on TechnologyChecker.io.

How many customers does Tickera have?

Our October 2026 crawl found Tickera on 1,249 domains, and we matched 786 of them to a company. That counts sites running the paid build: the free WordPress.org version installs into another folder and isn't included. A lapsed licence keeps working, per Tickera's pricing page, so treat 1,249 as sites running Tickera rather than paying subscribers.

What is Tickera's market share?

Tickera holds 4.62% of the Event & Ticket Booking category on TechnologyChecker.io, 4th of 57 technologies by domain count. EventOn leads with 45.91%, but it's a calendar plugin. Among products that sell tickets, Tickera's 1,249 domains are slightly ahead of Eventbrite's 1,206, though Eventbrite is a hosted marketplace whose checkout organisers embed rather than run themselves.

What are the best alternatives to Tickera?

In our category table the nearest ticketing alternative is Eventbrite (1,206 domains), a hosted marketplace. EventOn (12,401) is an events calendar whose paid Tickets add-on also sells through WooCommerce. Other WordPress ticketing plugins, such as FooEvents and The Events Calendar's Event Tickets, are the closest like-for-like rivals, but they aren't in our table, so we have no counts for them.

Which countries use Tickera the most?

The United States leads our enriched company data with 188 matched companies, then Germany (92), the Netherlands (79), the United Kingdom (54) and Spain (40). The seven largest European countries in the table reach 345, nearly twice the US. For a plugin priced in US dollars, that's a European customer base.

What size companies use Tickera?

Mostly very small ones: 65.62% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 22.25% have 11 to 50. Only 8 have more than 1,000 staff. The bigger organisations usually run Tickera on a single event or donation subdomain, like Ametller Origen's workshop bookings or ANT Italia's charity gift shop.

How old are companies that use Tickera?

Mostly young. The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (37.07%), with 18.1% in the 2000s and 13.79% since 2020. There's also an older tail: 8.05% were founded before 1960, including orchestras, museums and sports federations such as the Madison Symphony Orchestra (1925) and Judo Canada (1956), according to our enriched company data.

What is the ideal customer profile for Tickera?

The ideal Tickera customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (65.62%), Location: US, then Germany, Netherlands, UK, Founded: 2010-2019 (37.07%), Organisation: Event organisers, non-profits, venues, Website: WordPress with WooCommerce (73.25%) — based on our analysis of 786 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

Is Tickera free?

There is a free version on WordPress.org, with 2,000+ active installations, which handles ticket sales, PDF tickets and check-in but has few payment gateways. Stripe, PayPal and other gateways come with any paid plan; seating charts and the WooCommerce bridge come with Bundle or Lifetime. Our 1,249-domain count covers the paid build only, because the free one installs into a different folder.

How much does Tickera cost?

Tickera's pricing page, checked in October 2026, lists Standard at $149 for the first year (including a $50 activation fee), renewing at $99. Bundle, with all 25 premium add-ons, is $199 and renews at $149. Lifetime is a one-off $399. Every plan covers unlimited sites and events, and Tickera says it takes no commission on ticket sales.

Does Tickera work with WooCommerce?

Yes, through Bridge for WooCommerce, a paid add-on that turns ticket types into WooCommerce products. It's common: of 1,118 homepages we fetched that load Tickera's script in October 2026, 725 also loaded the bridge, and WooCommerce runs on 73.25% of our cleaned Tickera domains. Sites using it take payment through WooCommerce's checkout and gateways.

Does Tickera take a commission on ticket sales?

No. Tickera's pricing page says it takes 0% commission on every plan and that the licence fee is the only money it receives. Payment gateway fees still apply, typically about 2.9% plus 30 cents with Stripe according to the same page. That flat licence model suits venues and charities selling many low-priced tickets.

Does Tickera support reserved seating?

Yes, with the Seating Charts add-on, which lets buyers pick seats on a map at checkout. It's included in the Bundle and Lifetime plans. Seating Charts loaded on 331 of the 1,118 Tickera homepages we fetched in October 2026, about three in ten, so a good share of Tickera sites are theatres, clubs and venues with a fixed room.

Which WordPress plugin is the best for event ticketing?

We can't rate quality, only reach. In our October 2026 crawl Tickera was on 1,249 domains, the most of any self-hosted WordPress ticketing plugin in our Event & Ticket Booking table. EventOn is bigger at 12,401, but most EventOn sites run it as a calendar: its ticket add-on loaded on 494 of 10,777 EventOn homepages we fetched.

Is Tickera still being updated?

Yes. On 1 November 2026 the free build on WordPress.org was at version 3.6.0.9, updated the week before. The paid licence includes a year of updates, and Tickera's pricing page says the plugin keeps working after a licence lapses, which also means some sites we count run unrenewed copies.
