Companies Using ImageKit
Our October 2026 crawl finds ImageKit on 3,250 live domains, counting sites that load files from ImageKit's shared address, ik.imagekit.io. That is what's left of 20,981 after a full homepage check. We removed 6,349 gambling pages that host their banners on free ImageKit accounts, 3,182 restaurant sites that BeyondMenu builds and serves from its own account, 593 sites on other platforms' accounts, 1,824 dead pages, 5,322 for-sale or gambling pages caught by title, and 461 copies of other pages or late additions. Below is the list of companies that use ImageKit, with size, country and industry. It includes Qualys, Pan Macmillan, Swansea University, the South African retailer PEP and Isuzu South Africa.
ImageKit is an image and video CDN with a digital asset library, run by ImageKit Private Limited, an Indian company founded in 2016. On the cleaned count it ranks 9th by domains in Digital Asset Management, with a 2.85% share. Its users are small: 58.48% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff. The count can't see ImageKit's larger customers, because a site on its own image hostname, which ImageKit sells from the $89-a-month Pro plan, never loads ik.imagekit.io.

ImageKit Usage Statistics
The chart has one point: 3,250 live domains in October 2026, counted after the homepage check described at the end of this page. It's a snapshot rather than a trend: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time. Turnover around ImageKit's address is fast. 8,355 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, a figure that covers the removed pages too. When we broke the drops down, 677 still loaded ImageKit on another hostname, and 4,011 of the 7,668 that dropped it everywhere had gambling-style titles.

Which Countries Use ImageKit the Most?
Which countries use ImageKit the most? Among the 1,800 domains we matched to a company, the United States leads with 573, then India (345), the United Kingdom (121), France (65) and Canada (50). The order flips on the 2,070 sites where our check saw an ImageKit account: there, India comes first with 306 matched companies against 280 American ones. The US lead comes from the pages we couldn't load: 243 of their 365 matched companies are American, many of them contractor sites on one home-services platform.
Share of the 1,800 ImageKit domains we matched to a company record — 55.4% of the 3,250 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
ImageKit Market Share Among Digital Asset Management
What is ImageKit's market share? On the cleaned count, 2.85% of Digital Asset Management, 9th by domains at TechnologyChecker.io, with 3,250 domains. Counted raw, ImageKit would look several times bigger, because the raw figure includes gambling pages, BeyondMenu's restaurant sites and dead domains. The four rival rows shown on this page are much larger: Canva has 25,215 domains, Optimole 13,788, Dropbox 8,237 and Adobe Dynamic Media Classic 7,026.
Top Competitors by Market Share
ImageKit Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use ImageKit? Mostly small ones. 58.48% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 26.06% have 11 to 50, based on our enriched company data. 27 have more than 1,000 staff, among them Qualys, Swansea University and PEP. Bigger companies are under-counted here, since a custom image domain, a Pro-plan feature, takes a site off ImageKit's shared address.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
ImageKit's matched companies are young: 37.34% were founded in the 2010s and 32.01% in the 2020s, so 69.35% date from 2010 or later. The 2000s add 15.13% and only 28 companies predate 1960. ImageKit itself launched in January 2017.
What Industries Use ImageKit the Most?
Real Estate (5.85%), Construction (5.73%) and IT Services (5.55%) lead, followed by Technology, Information and Internet (4.5%) and Software Development (3.57%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 6%, so ImageKit is a horizontal tool. Construction is partly the home-services platform again: 152 of the 739 pages we couldn't load carry the stack of its roofing and HVAC sites.
Real estate companies using ImageKit include Stanley Martin Homes, the US housebuilder, and HomeBazaar in India. Universities using ImageKit include Swansea University and two Brazilian colleges, UniJaguaribe and UniAmérica. Software companies on ImageKit include Qualys and Geniusee, and retailers using ImageKit include PEP, Kalki Fashion, Magrudy's and EXTRA Shop.
ImageKit Alternatives & Competitors
The table ranks by domains, and the rows count different things. Optimole (13,788) is an image CDN for WordPress and the closest match to ImageKit. Adobe Dynamic Media Classic (7,026) is the enterprise image server once called Scene7. Canva (25,215) is counted from domain verifications, Canva-built pages and Canva-hosted files, and Dropbox (8,237) from a DNS verification record, so neither measures image delivery. Overlap is small: 8 domains run ImageKit and Canva today, and none run ImageKit and Optimole.

How We Counted ImageKit Customers
A domain counts here if one of its pages has a link tag (a preload, stylesheet or icon) pointing at ik.imagekit.io, ImageKit's shared delivery address. Sites on a custom image domain, which ImageKit sells from its Pro plan, never load that address, so they aren't counted. Our crawl found the address on 20,981 live domains. Most of them aren't ImageKit customers in any useful sense, because ImageKit's free plan makes the address easy to use for anyone, so we fetched every homepage in October 2026 (15,199 domains after a first title filter), read the ImageKit account id from each page's URLs, and opened 452 bot-checked pages in a headless browser.
We removed 17,731 domains:
- 5,322 for-sale and gambling pages caught by their title
- 6,349 more gambling pages, found by their page text or by an ImageKit account used mostly by gambling pages; 3,601 of them had no title for the filter to read
- 3,182 restaurant websites that BeyondMenu builds and serves from one ImageKit account. 167 showed the account when we fetched or rendered them; the rest share their site template, and all 154 template sites we rendered used BeyondMenu's account
- 593 sites on other platforms' accounts: NextPaw (169), Heartbeat (117), Remarketer (112), a US home-services site builder (36), LaunchNotes (34), Deedmob (34), Zoca (22), Vyro (21) and a few smaller ones
- 1,824 dead, empty or error pages
- 461 more: copies of other shops' pages, which we already set aside, and domains that appeared after our check
The 3,250 left are what every chart and table on this page uses. At the time of our check they were 2,070 sites loading ImageKit from their own or a web agency's account (1,523 accounts in all), 442 live pages that no longer show ImageKit on the homepage, and 739 we couldn't load. That last group needs a caution: 152 of the 739 carry the stack of the home-services builder's sites (Emotion, Umami and shadcn/ui together), so some of them are probably that platform's clients rather than ImageKit's. Our Digital Asset Management category table uses this cleaned count.
Expert Analysis: ImageKit Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I expected ImageKit to be an easy page to write: an image CDN, a clean URL pattern, a rule that looks for ik.imagekit.io in a page's link tags. Our crawl found that address on 20,981 live domains, and almost all of the work went into finding out which of them were ImageKit customers at all. I fetched every homepage in October 2026, read the ImageKit account id from the image URLs, and rendered 452 bot-checked pages in a headless browser. 3,250 domains survived, 1,800 of them matched to a company. That's the number this page uses.
What we took out, and why
ImageKit's Forever Free plan gives anyone an image host with a public address, and the raw count shows it. We removed 6,349 gambling pages on top of the 5,322 for-sale and gambling pages our title filter had already caught. They follow one pattern: someone takes over a domain that used to belong to a dentist, a school or a restaurant, puts up an Indonesian or Thai betting page and loads its logo, banners and favicon from a free ImageKit account. 3,601 of them had no stored title, which is how they slipped the filter.
The second-biggest group was one company. BeyondMenu, a US online-ordering service whose owner page sells restaurants a "customized website", builds those sites as Next.js apps on Vercel and serves every menu photo from one ImageKit account. That's 3,182 domains, all removed, because the ImageKit customer is BeyondMenu, not the restaurant. Smaller platforms do the same thing: NextPaw for 169 pet stores (its "Powered by NextPaw" footer logo comes from that account), Heartbeat for 117 online communities, Remarketer for 112 real-estate agents' sites, and LaunchNotes for release-note portals such as Dutchie's and Versapay's. 1,824 more were dead.
"More than four in five domains carrying ImageKit's address weren't ImageKit customers. A free plan with a public image URL is an easy host for spam, and for platforms serving thousands of client sites from one account." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: never build an ImageKit list from a raw count. And if you sell an image CDN, BeyondMenu is one account behind 3,182 restaurant sites.
Who is left
At the time of our check, the 3,250 were 2,070 sites loading ImageKit from an account of their own or their web agency's, 442 live pages that no longer show it on the homepage, and 739 we couldn't load. The 2,070 use 1,523 different accounts, and 1,294 of those accounts sit on a single domain. The multi-domain accounts are mostly one owner's fleet (Qualys on its main site and country domains, Elite Havens on its villa sites) or someone building sites for clients, such as one account across 32 orthodontic practices.
The 739 need a caution. 152 of them carry the stack of a US home-services site builder (Emotion, Umami and shadcn/ui together) whose roofing, HVAC and cleaning sites all load one ImageKit account. We confirmed that account on 36 sites we could open, but the bot wall stopped us on the rest, so they stay in the count.
Sales signal: start from the 2,070. A company name in the account path (qualys, panmac, isuzu, littlespoon) is a good sign the site owner holds the contract; a random string shared across unrelated sites is an agency or platform.
India first, once you can see the account
Across all 3,250, the United States leads with 573 matched companies, then India (345) and the United Kingdom (121). That US lead comes from the pages we couldn't load: 243 of their 365 matched companies are American. On the 2,070 sites where we saw the account, India comes first, with 306 matched companies against 280 American ones. That fits the vendor. ImageKit Private Limited is Indian, its founders came from Ixigo, and its customer page leads with Indian brands. Durian and SaffronStays are on that page and in our list.
Sales signal: for an ImageKit competitor, India is the market where ImageKit is most often the owner's own choice. Outside India, expect more agency-built sites, which means selling to the agency.
Small companies, horizontal use
58.48% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 26.06% have 11 to 50. Only 27 have more than 1,000 staff, among them Qualys, Swansea University and PEP. Ages run young: 69.35% were founded in 2010 or later. Real Estate (5.85%), Construction (5.73%) and IT Services (5.55%) lead, and no industry reaches 6%.
The big brands are mostly missing for a reason. Of the brands on ImageKit's customer page, Durian and SaffronStays, both in our list, load the shared address; Swiggy, Nykaa, Lenskart and BookMyShow don't. ImageKit's pricing page sells a custom domain from the $89-a-month Pro plan up, and a site on its own image hostname never touches ik.imagekit.io.
Sales signal: this is ImageKit's long tail of self-serve and agency accounts. A company still on the shared address is on a lower plan or hasn't set up a custom domain, which is a real opening for a rival CDN.
Churn is mostly the spam turning over
8,355 domains have dropped ImageKit on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, a figure that includes the pages we removed. When I broke the drops down, 677 still loaded it on another hostname, and 4,011 of the 7,668 that dropped it everywhere had gambling-style titles. The domains we crawl also turn over every month, dead ones out and new ones in, and our detection widens, so not every drop is a customer leaving. I wouldn't quote an ImageKit churn rate from this.
"The 8,355 drops say more about how fast gambling pages come and go than about anyone leaving ImageKit." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: don't read an ImageKit drop as a switching signal until you've checked what the domain was.
The stack around it
Google Analytics runs on 54.43% of the 3,250 and Cloudflare on 48.37%. WordPress is on 19.91% and Elementor on 5.97%, and some of those WordPress sites route even their jQuery and theme files through ImageKit, which takes someone technical to set up. A second group is custom-built: Vercel Analytics is on 11.78%, and jsDelivr (19.32%) and cdnjs (16.68%) are the common public CDNs alongside ImageKit. Overlap with the category's rivals is tiny: 8 domains run ImageKit and Canva today, and none run ImageKit and Optimole.
Sales signal: agencies are a channel worth mapping. 14 own or agency accounts in our check cover nine or more domains each.
What it costs
ImageKit's pricing page (read 16 October 2026) lists Forever Free at $0 with 20 GB of bandwidth and 3 GB of storage, Lite at $9 a month, Pro at $89 a month with 225 GB of bandwidth and a custom domain, and Enterprise on quote. Its about page claims 300K users and more than 3,000 businesses in 85 countries. Our 1,523 accounts are about half that business figure, which fits a count that can't see custom-domain customers.
Key takeaways
1. 3,250 live domains after cleaning, 9th in Digital Asset Management with 2.85%.
2. We removed 17,731 of 20,981: gambling pages, BeyondMenu's restaurant sites, other platforms' client sites, dead and for-sale pages.
3. On sites where we saw the account, India leads the United States.
4. Custom-domain customers, including most of ImageKit's case studies, aren't in the count.
5. The 8,355 drops since March are mostly spam turning over.

Which is better, ImageKit or Cloudinary?
We can't rank them on quality, only on what our crawl sees. Cloudinary's profile on our site counts 76,200 domains, about 23 times ImageKit's 3,250 on the cleaned count, though Cloudinary's figure hasn't had the same homepage check. Both serve images from a URL with on-the-fly transforms. Each vendor publishes a comparison page about the other, so read those as sales material rather than tests.
Is ImageKit.io safe?
ImageKit shows SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR badges on its own site. What our crawl adds is about the pages, not the service: anyone can open a free account, so a file on ik.imagekit.io says nothing about the site carrying it. We removed 6,349 gambling pages that host images there before counting ImageKit's users.
Why do gambling sites show up in ImageKit's raw numbers?
Because ImageKit's free plan is an easy place to host images. Gambling operators take over domains that used to belong to businesses, put up a betting page and load its logo, banners and favicon from a free ImageKit account. Our October 2026 homepage check found 6,349 such pages, most with no title our filter could read, and removed them all.
Do restaurant websites use ImageKit?
Thousands carry it without choosing it. BeyondMenu, a US online-ordering platform that builds branded websites for restaurants, serves every site's photos from its own ImageKit account. We found 3,182 BeyondMenu domains and left them out of this count, because the ImageKit customer there is BeyondMenu, not the restaurant. If you sell to those restaurants, talk to BeyondMenu.
