Companies Using Lucide

In product marketing I spend a lot of time asking what a signal says about the buyer behind it. An icon library sounds like the least interesting signal on a website. Lucide turns out to be one of the more useful, because it almost never arrives alone. As of our October 2026 crawl, TechnologyChecker.io finds Lucide on 833,303 live domains, and 423,649 of them match a company record. I read the list as a map of one particular way of building websites.

What the signal catches

Our rule looks for an svg element with the class lucide. Lucide's official packages add it to every icon they render, and SVGs copied from lucide.dev keep it. So a domain counts when the page we load shows at least one Lucide icon. I checked our named list in a headless browser: of the 44 pages that loaded for us, 43 rendered at least one Lucide icon.

One template needed cleaning out. A domain marketplace's "Premium Domain For Sale | Atom" landing page renders Lucide icons, and 60,321 of those parked domains passed the rule. We removed them, with 1,652 gambling pages, from every breakdown on this page: 61,973 domains, 7.3% of the 846,168 in our raw live set.

A Lucide detection is a stack detection

92.08% of Lucide domains also run Tailwind CSS, 62.26% run Radix UI and 55.41% run shadcn/ui. That's not a coincidence. shadcn/ui's November 2024 changelog made Lucide the default icon set for its new-york style, so projects started from it ship Lucide icons by default. When you see Lucide, you're usually looking at a React codebase styled with Tailwind and built from shadcn/ui components.

Sales Signal: Use Lucide as a cheap proxy for the shadcn/ui and Tailwind stack. It's easier to see on a page than the stack itself, and it narrows a broad React list to teams with a specific, modern codebase shape.

One in eight is a Lovable site

One technology stood out in the stack data: an analytics service on 12.69% of Lucide domains. When we loaded a sample of those sites, every one that loaded served the same two scripts, an analytics file that reports to that service and an events file that names Lovable in its code. Lovable adds them to the sites it publishes. Those sites render Lucide because the React code Lovable generates uses it, so the icons are part of the site, not something a widget injects. The choice of Lucide, though, was the builder's.

Sales Signal: Treat the Lovable-built sites as their own segment: sites generated with an AI builder, often by founders or small teams. They suit hosting, analytics and design offers better than developer tooling.

Growth trajectory

Our current crawl counts 408,397 Lucide domains in June 2026, 556,000 in July, 641,606 in August, 786,303 in September and 833,303 in October. That's 2.04 times the June figure, so plan on the level, not the slope. Counts are not a like-for-like series over time: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The big steps reflect changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect Lucide with, rather than a rush of installs.

Exits tell you more. 97,661 domains have stopped rendering Lucide since we started tracking it on 16 March 2026. A re-check on 12 October found 7,880 of the 98,582 on that list by then still showing it on another hostname, so the real number of leavers is lower.

Sales Signal: Don't run "just adopted Lucide" campaigns from a first detection. A new domain in our data is often one we've only just reached.

The companies behind the domains

The matched base is small and young: 67.02% of companies with a size band have 1-10 employees, and 79.23% of those with a founding year date from 2010 or later. IT Services (7.68%), Software Development (7.05%) and Technology, Information and Internet (5.89%) lead, but together they hold only 20.62%. Construction (2.78%) and Real Estate (2.6%) both make the top ten; there, the agency that built the site may be the real Lucide user.

Above 1,000 employees there are 3,443 companies (2,278 + 440 + 725 across the top three size bands), and the property tells you who chose Lucide. Assurant, Arcadis, Principal, Greystar and RATP Group render it on their main sites, which suggests a company-wide front-end decision. OpenText's is a customer portal and Canva's a partner directory. SAP, Uber and Verizon render it on careers sites that load their assets from the same careers-site provider, so those are one vendor's template.

Sales Signal: Prioritise main-site detections at large companies; they're the likeliest to have an in-house team behind the codebase. For careers-site detections, the buyer is the HR team's vendor, not the company's engineers.

Industry and geography

The United States leads with 110,492 matched companies, 26.08% of 423,649. India (39,748) and Brazil (29,971) both rank ahead of the United Kingdom (24,581), and Mexico (4,095) and Sweden (4,073) round out the top fifteen. That spread follows developers.

Sales Signal: If your product serves front-end teams, India and Brazil are the two largest markets on this list after the US, and both rank above the UK.

Migration patterns

Icon sets don't get swapped on their own. They change when a site is rebuilt. The row we publish is Ionicons: 1,165 domains that render Lucide today have dropped Ionicons since March, 892 in the last 90 days, against 56 the other way. Those are unrelated sites, 91.5% on Tailwind CSS and 44% on shadcn/ui, with no shared platform, which looks like rebuilds onto the shadcn/ui stack.

The bigger story is Font Awesome. 38,335 domains running Lucide have dropped Font Awesome since March, against 5,361 the other way, about 7 to 1. Yet 50,975 still load both, 49.7% of the 102,620 ever seen with the pair, and Font Awesome is still far larger overall, on 6,093,539 domains. So I'd call it movement on rebuilt sites, not a migration count.

Sales Signal: A domain that dropped Font Awesome or Ionicons and now renders Lucide was probably rebuilt in the last few months. That's a good moment for agencies, QA and accessibility vendors, and a poor one to pitch another rebuild.

Technology ecosystem

Framer Motion renders on 27.68% of Lucide domains, the animation layer that often comes with the same React and Tailwind setup. Next.js (35.29%) and React Router (31.13%) are the floor for React, since our direct React signal reads only 4.8%. Vercel hosts 22.42%, Amazon Web Services 6.87% and Netlify 3.44%. All stack shares here are of 784,231 clean live domains.

Sales Signal: For developer-tool vendors, Vercel is the natural integration angle. For recruiters, a Lucide detection is shorthand for React, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui skills.

How to use this list

Exclude the Lovable-built sites if you sell to developers, then filter to 11-200 employees; the 11-50 (22.65%) and 51-200 (6.6%) bands hold 29.25% of matched companies with a size band. Read the detection URL last, and favour main sites over careers or partner portals.

A workable opener: "I noticed [site] runs a shadcn/ui and Tailwind front end with Lucide icons. Teams on that stack often look at [testing / accessibility / design-system tooling], and here's where [product] fits."
