Companies Using Adobe Dynamic Media Classic

Our October 2026 crawl finds Adobe Dynamic Media Classic, the image and video service most people still call Scene7, on 7,026 live domains. That's after we set aside 4,704 domains that belong to three networks or are for sale: Maruti Suzuki's dealer sites, Atruvia's cooperative-bank sites and PDS Health's dental practice sites. What remains is an enterprise base, and the verified names read like one: Target, Honeywell, Workday, NatWest, Caterpillar and Wipro serve images through their own Scene7 accounts. Below is the list of companies that use Adobe Dynamic Media Classic, with size, country and industry.

Two cautions remain. About 300 more PDS Health practice sites have no page title in our records, so the cut missed them. And in our sample, about one page in five named Scene7 only in a security header without loading anything from it. On the cleaned count, Dynamic Media Classic ranks 6th of 42 technologies in Digital Asset Management with a 6.15% share.

Adobe Dynamic Media Classic Usage Statistics

One point: 7,026 live domains in October 2026, counted after the dealer, bank and dental networks described at the end of this page came out. Earlier months included those networks, so we don't chart them, and we wouldn't read growth from them anyway: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our detection widens over time. Exits are rare. 575 domains dropped Scene7 on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026.

How We Counted Adobe Dynamic Media Classic Customers

A domain counts here if one of its pages references scene7.com in an image srcset or a <link>, loads a script from scene7.com, or names .scene7.com in its Content-Security-Policy header. Our raw count was 11,730 live domains, and our category table still lists 11,485, the figure before this correction.

Scene7 names the account in most of its URLs, either as a hostname (target.scene7.com) or as the first folder of an image path on a shared server (s7d9.scene7.com/is/image/pacificdentalservices). Counting those accounts showed three networks where one organisation made the decision for hundreds or thousands of sites, so we removed them before computing anything:

  • 3,261 Maruti Suzuki dealer, outlet and True Value sites, on domains such as arenaof<town>.com, nexaof<town>.com and truevalueof<town>.com or carrying Maruti Suzuki in the title. Half of those we sampled named Scene7 only in a security header.
  • 1,050 German cooperative-bank sites whose images load from atruvia.scene7.com, the account of Atruvia, which builds those banks' websites.
  • 388 dental practice sites supported by PDS Health, formerly Pacific Dental Services, titled "Local Dentist Office in" their town.
  • 5 domains with for-sale or gambling titles.

That leaves 7,026, the figure every chart and table on this page uses. Two things are still inside it. 314 dental-practice domains with no stored page title remain; six we rendered all loaded images from PDS Health's account, so most are probably PDS sites too, and they account for 204 of the 237 Medical Practices matches. And about 330 Toyota dealers in Europe load from scene7.toyota.eu, Toyota's own Scene7 host.

The security-header test matters for reading the count. On 14 October 2026 we fetched a random sample of domains from the cleaned set; of the 267 that returned a page, 138 referenced Scene7 in the HTML, 52 named it only in their security header, and 77 showed neither in a plain fetch, including the untitled dental sites, which load Scene7 only after JavaScript runs. A header entry means a site may load from Scene7, not that the page does.

Expert Analysis: Adobe Dynamic Media Classic Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Emma Davies
Emma DaviesData Analyst, TechnologyChecker

Scene7 makes my job easier than most products do, because it writes the customer's name into its URLs: target.scene7.com, or a shared server followed by the account's folder. Reading those names across our raw count of 11,730 live domains showed that 40% of them came from three networks, each one organisation's decision. With those set aside, 7,026 domains remain, and they form an enterprise base. Here is what I found, and what it means for a seller.

Three networks, three buyers

Maruti Suzuki runs a website for each outlet in its dealer channels, Arena, NEXA, True Value, Commercial and Driving School, on domains such as arenaofhosur.com: 3,261 domains. In a sample of 142 of them, none referenced Scene7 in the HTML and 71 named it only in a security header; of three I opened in a browser, only the NEXA site loaded images from Maruti's own account. Atruvia, which builds German cooperative banks' websites, serves 1,050 bank sites from its account. And 388 dental practice sites supported by PDS Health load images from PDS Health's account. We removed all three before computing anything.

Sales signal: each network is one buying decision. Count Maruti, Atruvia and PDS Health as three accounts, not 4,700 prospects.

What the cut missed

Two smaller groups are still inside the 7,026. 314 dental-practice domains have no page title in our records, so the title rule couldn't see them; six I rendered all loaded PDS Health's account, and they make up 204 of the 237 Medical Practices matches. About 330 Toyota dealers in Europe load from scene7.toyota.eu, Toyota's own host. Neither reaches 5% of the count, but both are one buyer each.

"Scene7 puts the customer's name in its URLs. Read the names and 40% of the raw count turns out to be three organisations: a carmaker, a banking IT firm and a dental group." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: strip dental-practice domains and Toyota dealer sites from an export before outreach, or sell to PDS Health and Toyota directly.

One reading, and few exits

The chart has a single October point, because earlier months still included the networks. The domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our detection widens over time, so I wouldn't read a trend into older totals anyway. What stands out is how few sites leave: 575 domains dropped Scene7 on at least one hostname since 16 March 2026, and in a recount on 14 October 91 of 575 such domains still ran it on another hostname.

Sales signal: this is an installed base. The opportunity lies in what these companies do next, since few new adopters are arriving.

Who the enterprise customers are

After the cut, 525 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff and 216 more than 10,000, and the largest founding group is pre-1960 at 23.65%. Every one of the 50 companies in our list has more than 10,000 staff: Target, Caterpillar, Honeywell, NatWest, Workday, McDonald's, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro among them. Eighteen of those rows are subdomains, such as PwC's Viewpoint or Honeywell's automation site, so the contract often sits with one digital team. Many keep a host named after the brand, like honeywell.scene7.com or workday.scene7.com.

Sales signal: find the team that owns the site carrying the Scene7 account. At these companies it's rarely central IT.

Industries and countries

With the networks out, the United States leads with 1,724 matched companies, then Germany (290), the UK (159), Canada (112), Spain (97) and Sweden (96); India falls to 81. Industries are spread: Medical Practices tops the chart at 7.52%, mostly the untitled dental sites, then Retail (7.04%), Motor Vehicle Manufacturing (6.53%) and Real Estate (5.49%). The real estate row includes apartment operators such as Greystar.

Sales signal: manufacturers, banks, healthcare and retail in the US and northern Europe are the core. Filter to companies over 1,000 staff first.

Switching: none yet, one move coming

Our switching table is empty. The only overlap with a category rival is Canva, which 76 domains run alongside Scene7 today (79 ever have), and a design tool beside an image server replaces nothing. The real move is inside Adobe: its upgrade guide, updated 26 August 2026, presents Dynamic Media on AEM Assets as the successor to Dynamic Media Classic.

"In our data, no domain has left Scene7 for a cheaper image CDN. The decision these customers face is Adobe's upgrade, and that's where outside vendors get a hearing." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: an Adobe-driven migration is a natural point to reopen the vendor question, for Adobe partners and for rivals.

The stack around it

Across the 7,026 clean live domains, Adobe Experience Manager runs on 78.39%, Adobe Analytics on 24.79% and OneTrust on 59.79%. Akamai (20.13%) and Amazon CloudFront (15.0%) sit beside Cloudflare (24.12%). Scene7 here is part of an Adobe estate rather than a standalone purchase.

Sales signal: sell into the Adobe stack, through AEM partners, or against its renewal date.

What Adobe says, and what we see

Adobe doesn't publish prices: its AEM Assets pricing page lists Prime and Ultimate packages with "Get pricing" buttons (checked 14 October 2026). That fits a base of large companies. One reading caveat: in a random sample of the cleaned set, 52 of 267 pages named Scene7 only in a security header, so a domain here may allow Scene7 without using it on the page we saw.

Sales signal: confirm image delivery from Scene7 on the actual site before you open a conversation about it.

Key takeaways

1. 7,026 live domains after removing three networks; 6th of 42 in Digital Asset Management with 6.15%.

2. Maruti Suzuki (3,261), Atruvia (1,050) and PDS Health (388, plus about 300 untitled practice sites) are three buyers.

3. The rest is an old, large enterprise base: 525 matched companies over 1,000 staff, AEM on 78.39%.

4. No switching to rivals; Adobe's own upgrade path is the move to watch.

How to use this list

Drop dental-practice and Toyota dealer domains, then filter to companies over 1,000 staff. For the full list of Scene7 domains with company and stack data, explore TechnologyChecker.io, and see our guide to technology detection methods for why a header entry and an image request aren't the same signal.

Adobe's own answer is Dynamic Media on AEM Assets, which its upgrade guide calls the successor to Dynamic Media Classic. Outside Adobe, image CDNs such as Cloudinary and imgix cover delivery and transformation, though not Adobe's viewers or its AEM integration. For WordPress sites, Optimole (13,788 domains) does the image job through a plugin.

Which countries use Adobe Dynamic Media Classic the most?

The United States leads with 1,724 matched companies, followed by Germany (290), the United Kingdom (159), Canada (112), Spain (97) and Sweden (96). India drops to 81 once Maruti Suzuki's dealer network is set aside. Germany's count already leaves out 1,050 Atruvia-built cooperative-bank sites, which are one customer's decision.

What size companies use Adobe Dynamic Media Classic?

Large ones, mostly. 525 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff and 216 have more than 10,000. The 34.31% with 1 to 10 employees still includes about 300 dental practices supported by PDS Health, which load images from PDS Health's account rather than their own. That enterprise tail is the market Adobe sells to.

How old are companies that use Adobe Dynamic Media Classic?

Old, compared with most web tools. The largest group, 23.65% of matched companies, was founded before 1960, and only 4.43% in the 2020s. The 2000s (17.22%), 2010s (16.86%) and 1990s (15.65%) follow. Sherwin-Williams (1866), Dow (1897), Walgreens (1901) and Caterpillar (1925) all serve images from their own Scene7 accounts.

What is the ideal customer profile for Adobe Dynamic Media Classic?

A large, established company with a product or brand catalogue, more than 1,000 staff and often founded before 1960, running Adobe Experience Manager (78.39% of domains) and OneTrust (59.79%), in the US, Germany or the UK. Dealer and practice networks are a second profile: one owner serving hundreds of local sites from a single account.

What is Scene7 used for?

Serving product images and video from one master file, resized, cropped and formatted per request, with zoom, spin and video viewers. Scene7 launched in 2001 and Adobe bought it in 2007, according to Wikipedia; it is now Adobe Dynamic Media Classic. On the pages we checked, it mostly delivers product and brand images, plus Scene7's viewer scripts on catalogue pages.

Is Scene7 the same as Adobe Dynamic Media?

Not quite. Scene7 became Adobe Dynamic Media Classic, the standalone service. Dynamic Media is the newer version built into Adobe Experience Manager Assets, and Adobe's upgrade guide, updated 26 August 2026, describes it as the successor to Dynamic Media Classic. Our crawl sees the scene7.com hosts and viewer scripts, so it can't always tell which version a site runs.

How much does Adobe Dynamic Media cost?

Adobe doesn't publish a price. Its AEM Assets pricing page, checked 14 October 2026, lists two packages, Prime and Ultimate, each with a "Get pricing" button rather than a figure, and Dynamic Media belongs to that AEM Assets offering. The customers we see fit that model: 525 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff.

Which big companies use Scene7?

Among the companies we checked in October 2026: Target, Honeywell, Workday, NatWest, Caterpillar, McDonald's, Wipro, Tata Consultancy Services, Sherwin-Williams, Medtronic, Roche, Toyota, Volvo Group, Walgreens and S&P Global. Each loads images or viewer scripts from Scene7 under its own account, often on one subdomain rather than on every site it runs.

Why do Maruti Suzuki dealer sites show up as Scene7 users?

Maruti Suzuki runs a site for each outlet in its Arena, NEXA, True Value, Commercial and Driving School networks, on domains like arenaofhosur.com. Many name scene7.com in their security header, and some load images from Maruti's own Scene7 account. That is 3,261 domains but one customer's decision, so we leave them out of this page's count.

Is Adobe Dynamic Media Classic being retired?

Adobe's pages that we checked don't give an end date. Its upgrade guide, updated 26 August 2026, calls Dynamic Media on Experience Manager Assets the successor and lists what customers gain by moving. In our crawl the classic service is still live on 7,026 domains after cleaning, and only 575 have dropped it since March 2026.
