Companies Using Evvnt
Evvnt runs the "Local Events" calendars on news sites, and our October 2026 crawl finds its calendar on 886 domains. Below is the list of companies that use Evvnt, and it reads like a press directory: KARE 11 in Minneapolis, Stars and Stripes, The Berkshire Eagle, the Bournemouth Echo. Two carriers explain most of the count. TownNews, the newspaper CMS, runs on 44.79% of live Evvnt domains. At least 229 domains are Newsquest's UK titles. Another 64 belonged to Touch Local, a UK business directory network on one Evvnt account. Touch Local wound down its town directories in October 2026; its 64 domains are still in the October count.
Evvnt ranks 7th of the 57 tools we track in Event & Ticket Booking, with 3.28% of the category. It isn't a calendar plugin like EventOn or Tickera, which rank above it. Event organisers list for free and pay to promote, and the listings run in publishers' calendars, so the site we count is the publisher, which gets the calendar free and takes a share of what organisers pay. That's why 59.23% of matched companies are labelled newspaper (40.76%) or periodical (18.47%) publishers.

Evvnt Usage Statistics
Evvnt reads 669 domains in June 2026, 791 in July, 829 in August, 858 in September and 886 in October. Don't read that as a sales curve. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time, so the June to July step is mostly our coverage. Since we began tracking Evvnt on 16 March 2026, 318 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname. That is an upper bound: in our check, about a quarter of them still ran Evvnt on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Evvnt the Most?
Which countries use Evvnt the most? The United States, with 419 matched companies, and the United Kingdom, with 205, hold 96.3% of the 648 we could place. Canada follows with 12 and Spain with 4; no other country has more than one. Most of the UK count is Newsquest's regional papers, from the Bournemouth Echo to the Lancashire Telegraph.
Share of the 658 Evvnt domains we matched to a company record — 74.3% of the 886 we detect. Top 12 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Evvnt Market Share Among Event & Ticket Booking
What is Evvnt's market share? 3.28% of Event & Ticket Booking, 7th of the 57 tools we track there, on 886 domains in our October 2026 crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. EventOn leads with 12,401 domains (45.91%), then EventsCalendar.co (3,155), the Bandsintown Events Widget (1,595) and Tickera (1,249). It isn't a like-for-like table. EventOn and Tickera are WordPress plugins a site installs to run its own events, while an Evvnt calendar sells promotion to organisers on the publisher's behalf.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Evvnt Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Evvnt? Small, by LinkedIn headcount: 44.05% of matched companies with a known size list 1 to 10 employees and 34.2% list 11 to 50. Local papers and TV stations often keep thin LinkedIn pages, so treat this as the size of the publication's profile, not its newsroom. Only 21 companies list more than 200 staff, among them The Seattle Times Company, which runs Evvnt on theticket.seattletimes.com.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Evvnt's customers are old businesses. 49.71% of matched companies with a founding year started before 1960, against 11.56% in the 2010s and 4.62% in the 2020s. The founding years on our list go back to 1799 for The Keene Sentinel in New Hampshire, 1819 for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's site and 1861 for Stars and Stripes.
What Industries Use Evvnt the Most?
Newspaper Publishing leads at 40.76%, then Book and Periodical Publishing (18.47%) and Broadcast Media Production and Distribution (7.43%), LinkedIn's label for local TV stations. Add Media Production (3.61%), Writing and Editing (2.97%), Online Audio and Video Media (1.91%) and Radio and Television Broadcasting (0.85%) and news organisations make up 76% of matched companies, based on our enriched company data. Venues and promoters barely appear: they pay Evvnt, but the script sits on the publisher's page.
Newspapers using Evvnt range from the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and the Chattanooga Times Free Press to The Berkshire Eagle, each on its own Evvnt account. TV stations on Evvnt include KARE 11 in Minneapolis, WTHR in Indianapolis and 12News in Phoenix. Student newspapers using Evvnt include the University of Kansas's Kansan, which runs the calendar under its own partner code.
Evvnt Alternatives & Competitors
The tools above Evvnt in this table do a different job. EventOn (45.91%) and Tickera (4.62%) are WordPress plugins, EventsCalendar.co (11.68%) embeds a calendar the site manages itself, and the Bandsintown Events Widget (5.9%) lists one artist's tour dates, based on our market share data across 50M+ crawled domains. An Evvnt calendar fills a publisher's page with listings from organisers and, where the publisher switches it on, from ticketing feeds: the public settings of the Bournemouth Echo's calendar turn on Ticketmaster and Goldstar listings. TuriTop, 9th in the same table, sells booking software to tour operators and isn't a rival either.

Tech Stack of Evvnt-Powered Websites
Shares here are of the 911 Evvnt domains in our stack scan, a slightly wider set than the 886 in the headline count. TownNews, the newspaper CMS, runs on 44.79%, WordPress on 10.87% and Issuu's digital-edition viewer on 5.05%. The analytics column is a newsroom's: Google Analytics 96.82%, Snowplow 37.87%, comScore 33.81%, Parse.ly 32.82%, Adobe Analytics 30.52% and Chartbeat 17.89%. Part of the Snowplow share is Evvnt's own doing: on KARE 11's page, the calendar sent its events to an Evvnt-named Snowplow collector.

Expert Analysis: Evvnt Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I opened the Evvnt list expecting event organisers: venues, festivals, promoters. That's who Evvnt sells to. What our October 2026 crawl actually finds is the other side of the business, the publishers whose "Local Events" pages run Evvnt's calendar. The count is 886 domains, 658 of them matched to a company, and almost every name on the list is a newspaper or a TV station. If you sell to Evvnt's footprint, you're selling to local media.
Evvnt sells through publishers, so publishers are what we count
Evvnt's model is simple to describe. A publisher hosts the calendar. Organisers post events for free and pay to promote them, with the price set by the event's category (five plans, from Community to Enterprise) and the size of the market, and the promotion is syndicated to the partner publications shown at checkout. The organiser never installs anything, so our crawl can't see them. It sees the calendar script on the publisher's page, configured with that publisher's own Evvnt account: 59.23% of matched companies are labelled newspaper or periodical publishers, and news organisations of all kinds make up 76%.
Sales signal: an Evvnt detection tells you a publisher already runs a self-serve listings product and takes money from local event organisers. That's a qualified lead for anyone selling publishers revenue tools, and a poor one for anyone selling to venues.
Two carriers make up most of the footprint
The first thing I'd put in a briefing is how concentrated the carriers are. TownNews, the newspaper CMS, runs on 44.79% of live Evvnt domains, where the calendar sits in a site block with the paper's own partner code (WATAUGADEMOCRAT, YOURSUN, DAILYKANSAN). At least 229 domains are Newsquest's UK titles, which carry Newsquest's own Adobe audience tag; each title has its own Evvnt account, for example the Bournemouth Echo, the Southern Daily Echo and the Lancashire Telegraph. A third block, 64 domains from Touch Local, a UK business directory on one Evvnt account (touchlocal.com plus 63 town directories), went dark when Touch Local shut down at the end of October 2026.
I checked whether any single account sits on unrelated sites, because that would turn one customer into hundreds of fake ones. It doesn't. Across 296 domains where we could read Evvnt's publisher number we found 170 accounts. Touch Local's was the only one spread across a network; every other shared number belongs to one publisher and its alias domains, such as WBNS-TV's four (10tv.com, wbns10tv.com, wbns.tv and onntv.com). Aliases matter for counting: 27 of the 196 domains we could follow forward to another title.
Sales signal: count publishers, not domains. Roughly one domain in seven is a forwarding address.
One reading, and a living base
The usage chart runs from 669 domains in June 2026 to 886 in October. I wouldn't pitch that as momentum. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection signals widen over time, so most of the June to July step is our coverage. What I can say is that the newspaper base is alive. Only one domain we tested, southmag.com, resolves to a reserved test address, and when we re-fetched 25 sites that blocked our first visit from a US address, all 25 loaded the Evvnt calendar.
"Evvnt's customer list is a map of American and British local news. Two carriers, TownNews and Newsquest, explain about seven in ten of its domains." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: this is a stable, slow-moving installed base. Time outreach to newspaper groups' budget cycles; the data shows no growth wave to ride.
Who the customers are
By LinkedIn headcount the base is small: 44.05% of matched companies list 1 to 10 employees and 34.2% list 11 to 50. I'd discount that, because local papers keep thin LinkedIn pages. Age is the stronger signal. 49.71% of matched companies with a founding year started before 1960, and the list reaches back to The Keene Sentinel (1799), and the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's site (1819). Geography is two countries: the United States has 419 matched companies and the United Kingdom 205, together 96.3% of the 648 we could place. Only 21 companies list more than 200 staff, The Seattle Times Company among them, running Evvnt on theticket.seattletimes.com.
Sales signal: these are legacy media businesses with small digital teams and group-level decisions. In the US, the CMS vendor and the newspaper group often decide what goes on a page; in the UK, Newsquest does.
Switching: what the data can and can't say
Our migration table for Evvnt is empty: we found no domain that dropped Evvnt and picked up a rival calendar in the windows we test. Exits do happen. 318 domains have dropped Evvnt on at least one hostname since we began tracking it on 16 March 2026, but that number overstates real losses, because when we checked, about a quarter of them still ran it on another hostname. Calendars move between subdomains when papers redesign. They don't seem to move to competitors.
"We found no publisher swapping Evvnt for another calendar. When a site loses it, we don't see a rival calendar take its place." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: displacing Evvnt means replacing a revenue line for the publisher. A rival needs a better revenue share or a bundle with the CMS, and the TownNews and Newsquest relationships are where that fight happens.
The stack around the calendar
Evvnt pages carry a newsroom's measurement stack: Google Analytics on 96.82%, Snowplow on 37.87%, comScore on 33.81%, Parse.ly on 32.82%, Adobe Analytics on 30.52% and Chartbeat on 17.89%, all as shares of the 911 Evvnt domains in our stack scan. Part of the Snowplow figure is Evvnt itself, because on KARE 11's page the calendar sent its own events to an Evvnt-named Snowplow collector. Generic email tools are thin on the ground (Mailchimp 3.95%, Constant Contact 3.51%).
Sales signal: pitch measurement and audience tools in the language of comScore and Parse.ly users. Generic SMB marketing software won't land here.
Key takeaways
- Evvnt's footprint is 886 domains of local news sites, 7th of 57 in Event & Ticket Booking with 3.28%.
- TownNews (44.79%) and Newsquest (at least 229 domains) explain most of it; Touch Local's 64 directory domains closed at the end of October 2026.
- Accounts are the publishers' own: 170 across 296 domains we could read.
- The base is old and two-country, with no visible switching to rivals, and apart from Touch Local's 64 directories, which went dark in October 2026, it is alive.
- Domains overstate customers by roughly one in seven because of alias domains.
Sales applications
Outreach template: "Your events page runs on Evvnt, and so do most TownNews papers we track. We help publishers like you turn that calendar traffic into [your outcome]. Worth 20 minutes?"
Targeting: filter Evvnt users on TechnologyChecker.io by country (US or UK) and by TownNews, then group by newspaper owner before you build the list, so each group is contacted once.
Competitive angle: for calendar vendors, the opening is publishers whose Evvnt calendar moved hostnames recently. A redesign is the moment a paper reconsiders what sits on its events page.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Evvnt?
Local news publishers, mostly. Our October 2026 crawl finds Evvnt's calendar on 886 domains, and 59.23% of matched companies are newspaper or periodical publishers. TV stations such as KARE 11, WTHR and 12News run it, and so do papers like The Berkshire Eagle, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Stars and Stripes. In the UK it sits mostly on Newsquest titles.
How many customers does Evvnt have?
Our October 2026 crawl finds Evvnt on 886 domains, and 658 of them matched to a company. These are the publishers hosting Evvnt's free calendar; the paying customers are the organisers who promote through it, and our crawl can't count them. Domains overstate publications: 27 of the 196 we could follow forward to another title, and 64 domains belonged to Touch Local, a UK directory network on one Evvnt account that shut down at the end of October 2026. Across 296 domains where we read Evvnt's publisher number, we found 170 distinct accounts. 318 domains have dropped it since March 2026.
What is Evvnt's market share?
3.28% of Event & Ticket Booking, 7th of the 57 tools we track there, on 886 domains in October 2026. EventOn leads with 12,401 domains, then EventsCalendar.co with 3,155. The table mixes different products, though: EventOn and Tickera are WordPress plugins for running your own events, while Evvnt sells event promotion through publishers' calendars, so its share measures a different kind of customer.
What are the best alternatives to Evvnt?
It depends which side you're on. A publisher wanting a calendar of its own can install a plugin such as EventOn (12,401 domains in our data) or embed EventsCalendar.co (3,155). An organiser wanting reach can list on ticketing platforms directly. Evvnt's difference is the publisher network: one paid promotion runs across several news sites' calendars at once, priced by event category and market.
Which countries use Evvnt the most?
The United States, with 419 matched companies, and the United Kingdom, with 205. Together they hold 96.3% of the 648 companies we could place. Canada has 12 and Spain 4, and no other country more than one. The American half is local papers and TV stations, many on the TownNews CMS; the British share is mostly Newsquest's regional titles.
What size companies use Evvnt?
Small ones by LinkedIn headcount. 44.05% of matched companies with a known size list 1 to 10 employees and 34.2% list 11 to 50, so 78.25% list 50 or fewer. Local papers often keep thin LinkedIn pages, so this understates newsrooms. Only 21 list more than 200 staff, among them The Seattle Times Company, which runs Evvnt on its theticket.seattletimes.com events site.
How old are companies that use Evvnt?
Old. Among matched companies with a founding year, 49.71% started before 1960, while 11.56% date from the 2010s and 4.62% from the 2020s. That fits a customer base of newspapers and TV stations. Founding years on our list go back to 1799 for The Keene Sentinel in New Hampshire, 1819 for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's site and 1861 for Stars and Stripes.
What is the ideal customer profile for Evvnt?
A local news publisher in the US or UK, founded before 1960, whose LinkedIn page lists 50 or fewer staff, and whose site runs on the TownNews CMS with Google Analytics and a newsroom measurement stack such as comScore or Parse.ly. It wants event revenue without building a listings desk: Evvnt's calendar sells promotion to organisers and fills the page with their events.
How does Evvnt work?
Evvnt gives publishers an events calendar for their site and sells promotion to the people running events. Organisers can post an event for free, then pay to promote it, and the listing is syndicated to the partner publications shown at checkout. Our crawl sees the publisher side: a calendar script from discovery.evvnt.com, configured with the publisher's own Evvnt account, on 886 domains.
What is Evvnt Inc?
Evvnt is an event marketing company formed in 2012 by its chief executive, Richard Green, according to its support site. It started as an event marketing tool, moved into event discovery and later bought a ticketing company, so it now sells ticketing, marketing and discovery. On the web we see it mostly as the events calendar on US and UK local news sites.
How much does Evvnt cost?
Posting an event is free. Paid promotion is priced by the event's category, across five plans named Community, Lifestyle, Entertainment, Business (Professional on Evvnt's plans page) and Enterprise, and by the size of the market you post into. Evvnt's support page gives an example of a quote rising from $145 to $545 after a higher-priced category was added. Checked 16 October 2026.
Is Evvnt an alternative to Eventbrite?
Not really. Eventbrite is where organisers sell tickets; Evvnt is mainly where they buy promotion in local news calendars, though it now sells tickets too. The two meet inside the calendars: Evvnt's publisher settings include switches for pulling in listings from ticketing sources such as Ticketmaster and Goldstar. For a publisher, Evvnt is a revenue channel and Eventbrite is a box office.
How do I find local events in my area?
Check your local paper's or TV station's events page. On 886 domains in our October 2026 crawl, that page is an Evvnt calendar, which mixes listings submitted by organisers with feeds the publisher switches on. Examples are kare11.com/events in Minneapolis, the Bournemouth Echo's local events page and the calendars on Newsquest's other regional titles.
Which newspapers use Evvnt?
Hundreds of local ones. In the US they include The Berkshire Eagle, the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Chattanooga Times Free Press, Stars and Stripes and many TownNews sites, which make up 44.79% of live Evvnt domains. In the UK, at least 229 domains are Newsquest titles such as the Bournemouth Echo, the Southern Daily Echo and the Lancashire Telegraph, each with its own Evvnt account.
