Unbounce Usage Statistics

Unbounce's long-run chart needs care. Our records show active domains peaking at 20,890 in November 2024, falling to 6,983 by July 2025, and standing at 8,755 today. Swings that large over a few months say more about coverage than about the product. The set of domains we crawl turns over continuously, with dead sites dropping out and newly discovered ones added, and our detection signals change as well, so a count from one year is not a like-for-like measurement of the next. The reliable read is the recent, consistent stretch, and it shows Unbounce stable: 7,931 in June 2026, 8,715 in July, 8,755 in August.

Which Countries Use Unbounce the Most?

Which countries use Unbounce the most? The United States dominates at 54.5% of companies whose country we know (2,963), with Canada second at 8.6% (466), fitting, given Unbounce's Vancouver origins, followed by the United Kingdom (7.6%), Australia (5.9%), Brazil (2.9%) and France (2.5%). English-speaking markets account for 76.6% of the base, the second-highest concentration in this category after Squarespace, and Europe only 20.9%. Unbounce is an Anglophone, North-America-centred product, and its reach into non-English markets is genuinely thin.

Unbounce Market Share Among CMS & Website Builders

What is Unbounce's market share? Unbounce holds 0.06% of the CMS and website-builder category, ranking #54 among the 100 platforms we track in it, but that comparison flatters nobody, since the category is dominated by general website builders. Among dedicated landing page builders, Unbounce is a clear #2 behind ClickFunnels (17,866 domains, roughly 2.0× Unbounce's count) and comfortably ahead of the rest of the field: Carrd (5,377), LeadPages (2,746), Swipe Pages (629), Instapage (562) and Landingi (471). Unbounce and ClickFunnels together account for the large majority of the standalone landing-page market we can see.

Unbounce Customers by Company Size & Age

Is Unbounce only for small businesses? No, and this is what most distinguishes it from every website builder in this category. Only 33.44% of Unbounce customers have 1–10 employees, with a near-equal 33.05% at 11–50 and a substantial 20.02% at 51–200. Fully 33.52% of the base sits above fifty employees, second only to Drupal here and over nine times Squarespace's proportion.21 organisations at 10,001+ employees run Unbounce, including Penn State, Kantar and Giant Eagle. This is a marketing tool bought by marketing teams, not a website builder bought by their owner, and the size distribution shows it plainly.

What Industries Use Unbounce the Most?

Software Development leads Unbounce adoption at 6.89%, followed by Financial Services (4.98%) and Advertising Services (4.08%). No single industry exceeds 7%, which makes Unbounce a genuinely horizontal tool. Medical Practices (3.80%), Hospitals and Health Care (3.32%) and Construction (3.26%) all appear in the top ten, the healthcare pairing is distinctive, and reflects regulated industries that run lead-generation campaigns but keep them off the main corporate site.

Financial Services255 (4.98%)
Advertising Services209 (4.08%)
Medical Practices195 (3.8%)
Hospitals and Health Care170 (3.32%)
Construction167 (3.26%)

Software companies using Unbounce represent the largest vertical at 6.89%, with SaaS teams relying on landing pages for trial signups and demo requests. Financial services brands on Unbounce account for 4.98% and use it for lead generation across insurance, lending and wealth products. Advertising agencies at 4.08% run it on behalf of clients. The combined healthcare presence, Medical Practices (3.80%) plus Hospitals and Health Care (3.32%), reaches 7.12%, making healthcare Unbounce's single largest sector when grouped, and it is the clearest sign of what the product is for: campaigns that need to live somewhere other than the main website.

Unbounce Alternatives & Competitors

Unbounce's competitive position among landing page builders is strong but trails the category leader. ClickFunnels leads at 17,866 domains, roughly 2.0× Unbounce's count, with a broader sales-funnel proposition. Carrd (5,377) sits below it serving a completely different, solopreneur audience, and LeadPages (2,746), Swipe Pages (629), Instapage (562) and Landingi (471) occupy a long tail that has thinned considerably. The more serious competitive pressure comes from outside the category: general platforms have absorbed landing-page workloads, and our migration data shows exactly that happening.

Unbounce Customer Migration

Since our crawler began tracking Unbounce in March 2026, the migration picture is the weakest of any platform in this batch and it should be stated plainly. Unbounce lost 424 domains to WordPress while gaining only 64 back, a 6.6:1 loss ratio, and lost a further 39 to Webflow against 9 gained. Across every corridor we measure it gained 79 domains and lost 479, a net loss of 400 on a base of 8,755. Its observed churn rate of 12.3% is also the highest in this batch, more than three times WordPress's. The pattern is consistent: teams are folding standalone landing pages back into their main site platform rather than paying for a separate tool. These counts cover roughly five months and are not lifetime totals.

Tech Stack of Unbounce-Powered Websites

Based on a 10% sample of Unbounce's 8,755 domains, this is the most instrumented install base we measure anywhere. Google Analytics runs on 90.14% of Unbounce pages, the highest analytics attach rate of any technology in this category by more than 29 points, and unsurprising for a product whose entire purpose is measured conversion. Cloudflare fronts 65.99%, also the highest here. The marketing stack is equally dense: HubSpot on 20.69% and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement on 7.36%, both far above any other platform in this category, where the typical figure is under 3%, plus HubSpot Chat (5.52%) and LiveChat (3.22%). Unbounce users are not building websites; they are running demand-generation programmes, and every tool around the page confirms it.

Expert Analysis: Unbounce Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Mehmet Suleyman
Mehmet SuleymanCEO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

At TechnologyChecker.io I've analysed Unbounce across 8,755 active domains matched to 5,583 enriched companies (a 64.2% match rate). Unbounce is the clearest example in our CMS data of a product that is not really a CMS at all, and reading it as one produces the wrong conclusion at almost every step. Here's what the data actually says.

1. Growth trajectory, and why the chart lies twice

Our records show Unbounce peaking at 20,890 active domains in November 2024, falling to 6,983 by July 2025, and standing at 8,755 today.

Swings that large over a few months are a coverage story, not a customer story. The set of domains we crawl turns over continuously, and our detection signals change alongside it, so a count from one year is not a like-for-like measurement of the next. Within our recent, consistent stretch Unbounce is flat: 7,931 in June 2026, 8,715 in July, 8,755 in August. Anyone quoting "Unbounce lost two-thirds of its customers in 2025" is reading coverage as churn.

Sales Signal: Ignore the 2024–25 curve entirely. The decline that is real shows up in the migration and churn data below, and it is a different, slower story.

"The most common analytical error in this industry is treating a change in the measuring instrument as a change in the world. Unbounce is the textbook case: a 67% drop that never happened, followed by a rebound that never happened either. What we can measure consistently, churn and migration since March 2026, tells a much more useful story, and it is not the dramatic one." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO at TechnologyChecker.io

2. Customer profile: the least SMB platform in the category

This is where Unbounce separates from everything around it. Only 33.44% of Unbounce customers have 1–10 employees. Every website builder in this category runs 74–91%. Another 33.05% sit at 11–50 and 20.02% at 51–200, with 33.52% of the base above fifty employees, second only to Drupal, and over nine times Squarespace's proportion. Twenty-one organisations at 10,001+ run it, including Penn State, Kantar and Giant Eagle.

That distribution is the whole thesis: Unbounce is bought by a marketing team with a budget, not by a business owner who needs a website. The age data agrees, only 7.13% of its customers were founded in the 2020s, the lowest of any platform here, and 7.94% predate 1960. These are established organisations, not startups.

Sales Signal: Treat Unbounce detection as a firmographic filter, not a technographic one. It reliably identifies mid-market and enterprise companies with a functioning demand-generation team, a far better qualifier than most CMS signals, which mostly identify micro-businesses.

3. Industry and geography

Software Development leads at 6.89%, then Financial Services (4.98%) and Advertising Services (4.08%). No industry exceeds 7%. The most interesting grouping is healthcare: Medical Practices (3.80%) plus Hospitals and Health Care (3.32%) reach 7.12% combined, which would top the table. Regulated industries need campaign pages that live outside the governed corporate site, and Unbounce is where they put them.

Geographically, the US takes 54.5% and Canada 8.6%. Unbounce is a Vancouver company and it shows. English-speaking markets total 76.6%, second only to Squarespace, with Europe at just 20.9%. Brazil (2.9%) is the largest non-English market.

Sales Signal: Financial services and healthcare are the two segments where Unbounce indicates both budget and a compliance-driven reason to keep campaign pages separate. Those are durable use cases, unlike generic SMB landing pages.

4. Migration: the real decline

Here is the part that matters, and it is not good news. Since March 2026, Unbounce lost 424 domains to WordPress and gained 64 back, a 6.6:1 loss ratio. It lost 39 to Webflow against 9 gained. Across every corridor we measure: 79 gained, 479 lost, a net loss of 400 on a base of 8,755.

Its observed churn rate of 12.3% since March 2026 is the highest in this batch, more than three times WordPress's 3.45% and seven times Squarespace's. Unlike the 2024 chart collapse, this is measured consistently within one system, and it is real.

The direction tells you the mechanism: teams are folding standalone landing pages back into their primary site platform. That is a category problem more than an Unbounce problem, WordPress and Webflow have both closed much of the gap on page-building and A/B testing, but Unbounce is where it shows up first because it is the largest standalone tool with an enterprise-weighted base to lose.

Sales Signal: If you sell WordPress or Webflow services, Unbounce detection marks an account already leaking in your direction. If you sell to Unbounce customers, lead with what a general CMS still cannot do well: Smart Traffic-style optimisation, fast variant testing, and campaign-level isolation.

"Standalone landing-page tools are being squeezed from above and below. The general platforms got good enough at page building, and the marketing teams that used to buy a separate tool now ask why they are paying for a second CMS. Unbounce's 6.6-to-1 outflow to WordPress isn't a product failure, it's a category consolidating." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO at TechnologyChecker.io

5. Technology ecosystem: the most instrumented base we measure

Google Analytics runs on 90.14% of Unbounce pages. That is the highest analytics attach rate of any technology in this category by more than 29 percentage points. Drupal, the runner-up, manages 61.07%. For a product whose entire purpose is measured conversion, near-universal analytics is exactly right.

The marketing stack is equally dense and equally distinctive: HubSpot on 20.69% and Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement on 7.36%, against typical rates under 3% elsewhere in this category, plus HubSpot Chat (5.52%) and LiveChat (3.22%). Cloudflare fronts 65.99%, also the highest here.

Sales Signal: An Unbounce page with HubSpot or Pardot behind it is a fully-staffed demand-gen operation with real budget. That combination is one of the highest-value technographic signals in our dataset, far more predictive than any single CMS detection.

Across 1,044 review mentions, G2 users give Unbounce high marks for ease of use (385 mentions), praising the drag-and-drop editor for building pages without developer help, with integration capabilities (127) and A/B testing (98) also strong. The top complaint is pricing (156 mentions), followed by design flexibility limits (89) and customisation requiring code (72).

That combination, loved for speed, resented for price, is precisely what makes the WordPress migration corridor so hard to defend. The product works; it competes against something bundled.

7. Key takeaways

  • The long-run chart overstates the swing, and the decline is real anyway. The 2024-25 collapse reflects coverage change; the 6.6:1 outflow to WordPress since March 2026 does not.
  • Least SMB-weighted platform in this category: only 33.44% at 1–10 employees, 33.52% above fifty.
  • Highest churn in this batch at 12.3%, more than three times WordPress's rate.
  • #2 dedicated landing page builder at 8,755 domains, behind ClickFunnels (17,866) and ahead of LeadPages (2,746) and the rest.
  • Most instrumented install base we measure: 90.14% Google Analytics, 20.69% HubSpot, 7.36% Pardot.
  • Healthcare is the hidden top vertical at 7.12% when Medical Practices and Hospitals are grouped.

8. Sales applications

Outreach template: "Hi [Name], I noticed [Company] runs Unbounce alongside HubSpot. Teams with that setup are usually running paid acquisition at real volume. We help [industry] marketing teams [specific value prop], worth fifteen minutes?"

Targeting strategy: Filter for Unbounce + 51–500 employees + Financial Services or Healthcare + US or Canada. That combination isolates the funded, compliance-constrained marketing teams for whom a separate campaign platform is a deliberate architectural choice rather than a convenience.

Competitive angle: If you sell migration or general-CMS services, the WordPress corridor is already running your way. If you sell to Unbounce's installed base, price is the objection to pre-empt, it is the single most-cited complaint at 156 G2 mentions.

Is Unbounce worth the money?

Unbounce delivers strong value for teams that run frequent paid campaigns and need quick landing page iteration. G2 reviewers praise its drag-and-drop editor (385 mentions) and built-in A/B testing (98 mentions). However, pricing is the top complaint (156 mentions). Our data shows 8,755 domains actively using it, and the customer profile suggests the buyers are funded teams rather than cost-sensitive individuals: a third of Unbounce companies have more than fifty employees, and 20.69% run HubSpot alongside it. The countervailing signal is churn, 12.3% of the base has dropped Unbounce since March 2026, with most of those domains moving to WordPress, where landing pages come bundled.

Who is the parent company of Unbounce?

Unbounce is owned by Crest Rock Partners, a private equity firm that acquired the company and merged it with Insightly, a CRM platform. Unbounce was originally founded in 2009 in Vancouver, Canada by Rick Perreault. The merger combined Unbounce's landing page strengths with Insightly's CRM capabilities to create a broader marketing and sales platform for mid-market businesses.

Who are the competitors of Unbounce?

The top Unbounce competitors by active domain count are ClickFunnels (17,866 domains), Carrd (5,377), LeadPages (2,746), Swipe Pages (629), Instapage (562) and Landingi (471). Unbounce sits second at 8,755. In practice, though, our migration data shows the strongest competitive pressure comes from general platforms rather than other landing-page tools: since March 2026 Unbounce lost 424 domains to WordPress and 39 to Webflow.

Why is Unbounce so expensive?

Unbounce's pricing reflects its focus on conversion optimization rather than basic page building. The platform includes Smart Traffic AI, which automatically routes visitors to the best-performing page variant. Built-in A/B testing, dynamic text replacement, and AMP landing pages add cost. G2 reviewers cite pricing as their #1 complaint (156 mentions), with billing issues adding 64 more negative mentions.

How much does Unbounce cost per month?

Unbounce plans start at around $74/month (billed annually) for the Build plan, which includes 1 domain and up to 20,000 visitors. The Experiment plan runs about $112/month and adds A/B testing with Smart Traffic. The Optimize plan costs approximately $187/month with higher limits. Enterprise pricing is custom. Annual billing saves roughly 25% compared to monthly payments.

What are the limitations of Unbounce?

G2 reviewers highlight several Unbounce limitations: advanced customization requires coding knowledge (72 mentions), design flexibility is restricted compared to custom development (53 mentions), and customer support can be slow (89 mentions). TechnologyChecker.io data also shows that 232 companies switched from Unbounce to ClickFunnels, often seeking broader funnel-building capabilities beyond standalone landing pages.

What is the alternative to Unbounce landing pages?

Top alternatives include ClickFunnels (17,866 domains) for full sales funnels, LeadPages (2,746) for a simpler and cheaper builder, and Carrd (5,377) at the solopreneur end. Instapage (562) and Landingi (471) serve smaller niches. Increasingly the real alternative is not a landing-page tool at all, our migration data shows more Unbounce domains moving to WordPress than to every dedicated competitor combined.

Does Unbounce offer a free plan?

Unbounce doesn't offer a permanent free plan, but it provides a 14-day free trial on all tiers. This lets you test the drag-and-drop builder, Smart Traffic AI, and A/B testing features before committing. Some competitors like Landingi offer limited free tiers. The lack of a free plan is one reason G2 reviewers frequently mention pricing concerns (156 negative mentions).

Is Unbounce good for agencies?

Yes. Unbounce supports multi-client management, making it popular with advertising and marketing agencies. Our data shows Advertising Services is the third-largest vertical at 4.08% of Unbounce's customer base, behind Software Development (6.89%) and Financial Services (4.98%). Agencies also explain part of the platform's unusual size profile: 33.52% of Unbounce companies have more than fifty employees, far above any website builder in this category.

Can you use Unbounce with WordPress?

Yes. Unbounce offers a WordPress plugin that publishes landing pages directly to your WordPress domain without touching your existing site. Our tech stack data shows low CMS overlap (Wix 3.12%, Squarespace 3.01%, Drupal 2.75%), confirming that most Unbounce users run it as a standalone tool alongside their primary CMS. The WordPress integration keeps landing pages on your own domain for SEO benefits.

What industries use Unbounce the most?

Software Development leads at 6.89%, followed by Financial Services (4.98%), Advertising Services (4.08%), Medical Practices (3.80%), Hospitals and Health Care (3.32%) and Construction (3.26%). Grouping the two healthcare categories gives 7.12%, which would actually top the table, regulated industries need campaign pages that sit outside the governed corporate site, and that is a core Unbounce use case.

How does Unbounce compare to ClickFunnels?

ClickFunnels has 17,866 active domains versus Unbounce's 8,755, making it roughly twice the size. The key difference is scope: Unbounce focuses on landing pages and conversion optimisation, while ClickFunnels builds complete sales funnels with checkout and upsell steps. Unbounce's base skews notably more enterprise, 33.52% of its customers have more than fifty employees.
