Companies Using Negate
Our October 2026 crawl finds Negate on 1,847 live domains, and every one is a Shopify store. Negate LLC, of Scottsdale, Arizona, sells a Shopify app that stops bots from firing a store's marketing pixels and inflating its analytics: when its script decides a visitor is a bot, page views and sessions don't reach Google or Meta. Below is the list of companies that use Negate, with size, country, industry and stack, including Heal's, Joseph Joseph, Chemical Guys, FAO Schwarz and Zinus.
That count is what's left after a liveness check. Our crawl found Negate's tag on 3,094 domains. On 15 October 2026 we asked Negate's own script server for every key we could read, and it answered 403 Forbidden for 1,247 domains, 804 stores whose pages still carry a tag that does nothing. We removed them. Negate served the full script to 1,395 domains and told 243 domains, belonging to 109 stores, that their monthly request limit was used up; those stay in, as do 209 domains whose key we couldn't read. How We Counted, at the foot of the page, has the details.
Negate is filed under WAF & DDoS Protection, where it ranks 7th of 18 with 0.77%. It isn't a firewall. Nothing sits in front of the store's server; the script runs in the shopper's browser and decides which events fire. Its real rivals are other Shopify bot and click-fraud apps.

Negate Usage Statistics
Negate's chart has one point: 1,847 domains in October 2026. We rebuilt the count this month after removing the 1,247 domains whose key Negate refuses, so earlier monthly totals, which mixed working and dead installs, aren't shown. Read later months with two causes in mind: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen. Since March 2026, 634 domains dropped the tag, and 52 of those still carry it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Negate the Most?
Which countries use Negate the most? The United States, with 454 matched companies, far ahead of the United Kingdom (59), Australia (47), Canada (23) and India (12). With New Zealand (4) and Ireland (3), English-speaking markets account for 590 of the 681 matched companies, 86.6%. That fits an app listed in English only and sold to stores that buy Google and Meta ads, based on our enriched company data.
Share of the 681 Negate domains we matched to a company record — 36.9% of the 1,847 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Negate Market Share Among WAF & DDoS Protection
What is Negate's market share? 0.77% of WAF & DDoS Protection, 7th of the 18 tools we track at TechnologyChecker.io, on 1,847 domains. The comparison isn't like for like. Sucuri (94,053 domains, 39.23%), DDoS-Guard (91,034) and Imperva (28,777) are proxies and firewalls in front of a server, and SiteLock, one place above Negate with 2,728 domains, is known for its security seal. Negate keeps bots out of a Shopify store's marketing pixels, in the browser.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Negate Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Negate? Mostly small brands. 54.89% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, 30.58% have 11 to 50 and 11.93% have 51 to 200. Only five have more than 500 staff, and LifeSync, the medical-cable maker, is one of them, with a working script.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (43.69%), then the 2000s (19.19%) and the 2020s (14.14%). That 2020s share is about three and a half times the 4.03% on iThemes Security's profile, which fits brands that grew up selling on Shopify. 3.79% predate 1960, among them Heal's (1810), White Oak Pastures (1866) and Shop-Vac (1953).
What Industries Use Negate the Most?
Retail leads at 19.5% and Retail Apparel and Fashion follows at 12.77%, so about a third of matched companies with a known industry are retailers or fashion brands. Manufacturing (7.45%), Wellness and Fitness Services (4.61%) and Consumer Goods (3.37%) come next, based on our enriched company data at TechnologyChecker.io. These are brands selling their own products, the ones paying for ads and caring whether the pixel data is clean.
Homeware brands using Negate include Joseph Joseph, Heal's, Zinus and Lulu and Georgia, all with a working script in October 2026. Food brands on Negate include Savory Spice, Equal Exchange and White Oak Pastures. Fashion brands using Negate include Maggy London, Reyn Spooner and Lazy Oaf.
Negate Alternatives & Competitors
Sucuri, DDoS-Guard, Imperva and SiteLock protect or vouch for the server, so they don't compete with Negate for the same job. The real alternatives are Shopify bot and click-fraud tools. Blocky, an IP and country blocker for Shopify and Wix stores, is on 2,506 domains in our crawl. Fraud Blocker, which guards Google and Meta ad budgets against fake clicks, is on 5,113. Blockify, another Shopify blocker, has no profile here yet.

How We Counted Negate Customers
A domain counts here when one of its pages loads Negate's script from sapi.negate.io. The script address carries a key and the store's myshopify name, so we could ask Negate's own server whether each install still works. Our crawl found the tag on 3,096 domains. We removed 2 with for-sale or gambling page titles, leaving 3,094.
On 15 October 2026 we requested the script for every key we could read: 2,885 domains, belonging to 1,700 Shopify stores on 1,696 keys. No agency or platform account turned up; every store holds its own key. Negate returned the full script for 787 stores (1,395 domains). For 804 stores (1,247 domains) it answered 403 Forbidden, the same reply a real browser gets on those stores, and in a sample of 20 refused stores, 17 still carried the identical tag on their live homepage. Those pages show Negate to a crawler and run nothing, so we removed all 1,247 domains.
We kept two groups. 109 stores (243 domains) got a one-line reply that logs "Monthly API Request Limit Reached": the app is still on the store, but its filter is paused for the rest of the month. One of them sits on 59 domains. And 209 domains carried the tag with no key we could read, so we couldn't test them. That leaves 1,847, the count every chart and table on this page uses. The 1,638 of them we could test belong to 896 stores, because brands point several domains at one shop. We rebuilt the count in October 2026, so the usage chart starts there.
Expert Analysis: Negate Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I expected a firewall when Negate turned up in our WAF & DDoS Protection table. It isn't one. A domain counts here when its pages load a script from sapi.negate.io. Our October 2026 crawl first found 3,094 domains like that, all Shopify stores. After the check described below, 1,847 live domains remain, 681 of them matched to a company, 7th of 18 in the category. Before writing about who buys Negate, I wanted to know what the script does, whose account it runs under and whether it still works.
The product behind the script
Negate LLC of Scottsdale, Arizona, launched its Shopify app in October 2020. The listing describes the job plainly: Negate blocks events such as page views and sessions from firing when it detects a bot, so the store's Google and Meta pixels optimise for real people. Plans run from $19 a month for 50,000 API requests to $299 for unlimited, with a 7-day trial. Shopify files it under Fraud. Our catalog's WAF label is a misfit: the script runs in the shopper's browser, and nothing stands between the store's server and an attacker.
Sales signal: a Negate store is a store that worries about ad spend and analytics quality. Sell it attribution, server-side tracking or click-fraud tools.
Whose account is it?
Negate's script address carries a key and the store's myshopify name, so I could group domains by account. The 2,885 domains with a readable key resolved to 1,700 stores on 1,696 keys. I half expected agencies to show up, since an agency often runs the ad accounts for a dozen brands. They don't: every store holds its own key, so each row traces back to a merchant who installed the app. The gap between domains and stores is aliasing. Brands point country and spare domains at one shop; one store alone sits on 59 domains.
Sales signal: dedupe a Negate list by store before you count accounts. The 1,847 domains on this page come to roughly 900 stores among those we could test.
Does the script still answer?
This is the check that changed the count. On 15 October 2026 I requested every one of those 1,700 keys from Negate's script server. 787 stores got the working script, on 1,395 domains. 109 got a one-line reply logging "Monthly API Request Limit Reached", so their filter was paused for the month. And 804 stores, 1,247 domains, got 403 Forbidden. I loaded two of those in a real browser and saw the same refusal, and in a sample of 20 refused stores, 17 still carried the identical tag on their live homepage. Those stores show Negate to a crawler and run nothing, so we removed them. The paused stores and 209 domains we couldn't test stay in.
"Fewer than half the domains carrying Negate's tag got a script that works. A detection count tells you who installed it at some point; the vendor's own endpoint tells you who is still a customer." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: the 804 refused stores look like lapsed Negate users who kept the tag. They aren't in this count, but for a competing app they're the warmest prospects: they wanted the job done, and their Negate key no longer works.
What the chart counts
Because we rebuilt the count in October 2026, the chart starts there, at 1,847. Future months will move for two reasons at once: the domains we crawl turn over monthly, and our detection signals widen. Since March 2026, 634 domains dropped the tag, and 52 of those still carry it on another hostname.
Sales signal: size Negate's market from live stores, not tags. On 15 October that was 787 stores with a working filter and 109 paused at their limit.
Who buys it
54.89% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 30.58% have 11 to 50. They're young: 43.69% were founded in the 2010s and 14.14% in the 2020s. Retail (19.5%) and Retail Apparel and Fashion (12.77%) lead the industries, and the United States has 454 of the 681 matched companies. English-speaking markets add up to 590, or 86.6%. Stores with a working script include Heal's, Joseph Joseph, Chemical Guys, FAO Schwarz, Zinus, SVS and Melitta's US shop.
Sales signal: this is a direct-to-consumer brand list. The buyer is the founder or the growth lead who owns the ad accounts.
The stack
Shopify is on every domain and Cloudflare on 99.95%, because Shopify stores answer through Cloudflare. Google Analytics runs on 64.75%, the kind of tag Negate protects. Elevar's server-side tracking is on 5.04%, and page builders are rare: Shogun 3.95%, Instant 2.11%, Zipify Pages 1.68%.
Sales signal: stores paying to clean their pixel data are natural prospects for server-side tracking. The 5.04% already on Elevar shows the gap is wide.
Where the rivals sit
We publish no switching rows for Negate. Its rivals sit in our Fraud Prevention category: Blocky, an IP and country blocker, on 2,506 domains, and Fraud Blocker, a click-fraud tool, on 5,113. They block visitors or ad clicks; Negate only decides which events fire.
"Negate competes with ad-fraud and blocker apps on Shopify, not with Sucuri or Imperva. The WAF share on this page is a filing accident." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: lapsed Negate stores still have the problem. A click-fraud or bot-blocking app can offer them the job Negate stopped doing.
Key takeaways
1. 1,847 live domains, 7th of 18 in WAF & DDoS Protection, but Negate isn't a firewall.
2. We removed 1,247 domains whose key Negate's server refuses; 109 stores paused at their limit stay in.
3. Every store holds its own key, and the domains we could test come to 896 stores.
4. Small, young, American consumer brands, about a third of them in retail and fashion.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Negate?
Shopify brands that pay for Google and Meta ads, mostly small ones. Negate's script shows on 1,847 live domains in our October 2026 crawl, after we removed 1,247 whose key Negate refuses. 54.89% of matched companies have 10 or fewer staff. Stores with a working script include Heal's, Joseph Joseph, Chemical Guys and FAO Schwarz.
How many customers does Negate have?
Fewer than its tag count suggests. Our October 2026 crawl found the tag on 3,094 domains, Negate's own server refused the keys on 1,247 of them, and we count the other 1,847. Among the domains whose key we could read, that's 896 Shopify stores: 787 with a working script and 109 that had used up their monthly request limit.
What is Negate's market share?
0.77% of WAF & DDoS Protection, 7th of the 18 tools we track, on 1,847 domains. Sucuri leads with 94,053 domains (39.23%), ahead of DDoS-Guard and Imperva, and SiteLock sits one place above Negate. Those protect a server or vouch for it with a seal, while Negate filters bots out of a Shopify store's marketing pixels, so the share says little about its real market: Shopify bot and click-fraud apps.
What are the best alternatives to Negate?
Other Shopify bot and fraud tools. Blocky blocks visitors by IP, country, VPN or proxy and is on 2,506 domains in our crawl. Fraud Blocker and ClickGUARD protect ad budgets from fake clicks, on 5,113 and 1,471 domains. Blockify is another Shopify blocker. Each works differently: Negate keeps bots out of pixel events, while blockers turn visitors away.
Which countries use Negate the most?
The United States, with 454 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (59), Australia (47), Canada (23) and India (12). Counting New Zealand and Ireland too, English-speaking markets account for 590 of the 681 matched companies, or 86.6%. Negate's Shopify listing is in English only, and its plans are built around Google and Meta ad protection.
What size companies use Negate?
Mostly small brands. 54.89% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, 30.58% have 11 to 50 and 11.93% have 51 to 200, so 85.47% have 50 or fewer staff. Only five have more than 500 employees, LifeSync, the medical-cable maker, among them. Large enterprises barely appear in our data.
How old are companies that use Negate?
Among the 396 matched companies with a known founding year, 43.69% were founded in the 2010s, 19.19% in the 2000s and 14.14% in the 2020s. That 2020s share is about three and a half times the 4.03% on iThemes Security's profile, which fits brands that grew up on Shopify. 3.79% predate 1960, among them Heal's, founded in 1810.
What is the ideal customer profile for Negate?
A Shopify brand of 1 to 50 people in the United States, UK or Australia, selling its own products in retail, fashion, wellness or homeware, and founded in the 2010s. It runs Google Analytics and spends on Google and Meta ads, so bot clicks distort the pixel data it builds audiences from. That's the store Negate's Lite and Pro plans are priced for.
What does Negate Bot Protection do?
It stops bots from triggering a Shopify store's marketing pixels. According to its Shopify App Store listing, Negate blocks events such as page views and sessions from firing when it detects a bot, so ad and analytics platforms see human traffic. It also lets merchants block payments by name, email or location. It doesn't filter traffic at the server.
How much does Negate cost?
Negate's Shopify listing shows three plans, billed every 30 days in US dollars: Lite at $19 a month for 50,000 API requests, Pro at $49 for 250,000 with AI detection and a custom threshold, and Enterprise at $299 for unlimited requests. Each has a 7-day free trial. Negate's own site lists the same Lite and Pro prices. Checked 15 October 2026.
Is Negate Bot Protection effective against bot attacks?
We can't measure blocked bots, but we can check whether the script runs. On 15 October 2026, Negate served a working script to 787 of the 1,700 stores carrying its tag and refused 804, which we removed from this page's count. On the Shopify App Store it rates 4.5 from 59 reviews, 85% of them five-star. A refused key filters nothing.
How can I stop bot traffic from reaching my Shopify store?
It depends which harm you mean. To keep bots out of ad pixels and analytics, a filter such as Negate stops their events firing. To turn bots away, blockers such as Blocky ban IP addresses, countries, VPNs and proxies. To protect ad spend, click-fraud tools such as Fraud Blocker block the sources of fake clicks. None of these is a server firewall.
Why is Negate listed under WAF & DDoS Protection?
Our catalog files it there because Negate sells bot protection, but it's a poor fit. Firewalls such as Sucuri and Imperva sit in front of the server and block requests. Negate's script runs in the shopper's browser and decides whether marketing and analytics events fire. Shopify's App Store files it under Fraud, which describes it better.
What happens when a store hits Negate's monthly limit?
Negate's script stops filtering. Once a store passes its plan's monthly allowance, the script server returns a single line that logs "Monthly API Request Limit Reached" to the browser console, and nothing else. On 15 October 2026, 109 stores on 243 domains were in that state. We keep them in our count, since the app is still installed. Lite allows 50,000 requests a month.
