Companies Using Linguise
Our October 2026 crawl finds Linguise on 1,097 live domains, and its customers are European first. France has 138 matched companies, Germany 91 and the Netherlands 89, against 71 in the United States. Most are WordPress sites (63.81%), with a Joomla group at 11.67%. Below is the list of companies that use Linguise, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes Poczta Polska, the Polish postal service, IBS Software, Zotefoams and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
That 1,097 is a cut count. Linguise translates only while a subscription is active, and when we requested a translated page from every site carrying its code, 645 served it and 262 sent us back to the original language, which Linguise's own FAQ says happens once a plan expires. We removed those 262, as How We Counted explains below. Linguise ranks 13th of the 26 tools in Translation & Localization, with 0.13% of the category.

Linguise Usage Statistics
The usage chart has a single point: 1,097 domains in October 2026. Earlier months can't be shown on the same basis, because the test that removes lapsed installs only works against sites as they are today. Before that cut our crawl counted 1,359 clean domains carrying Linguise's code. Monthly counts aren't a like-for-like series in any case: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection widens. 187 domains dropped Linguise since we began tracking it in March 2026, and 30 of them still run it on another hostname.

Switzerland (53), Italy (33), Spain (32) and Poland (27) follow. Share of the 772 Linguise domains we matched to a company record — 70.4% of the 1,097 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.

How We Counted Linguise Customers
A domain counts as a Linguise site when its homepage carries the WordPress plugin's settings, the Joomla module's files or a script from static.linguise.com. Our October 2026 crawl found 1,365 live domains with one of those. Six were for-sale or gambling pages, which left 1,359.
Linguise translates on its own servers, and its FAQ says that once a subscription expires, translated content is no longer served. The plugin, the language switcher and the hreflang links can stay on the page, so a script count alone includes sites that stopped paying. On 15 October 2026 we fetched all 1,359 homepages and, wherever the page named a translated address (an hreflang link or a language in the plugin's settings), we requested it. 907 sites could be tested this way. 645 served the translated page. 262 did not: 259 redirected to the untranslated address and 3 returned original-language content. We opened 15 of the 262 in a real browser and every one landed on the original language. 222 of the 262 were WordPress plugin sites, 22 carried only the plugin's settings and 14 were Joomla sites.
We removed those 262. Every chart and table on this page uses the remaining 1,097 domains: 645 confirmed to serve translations and 452 we couldn't test. Of those, 206 publish no translated address (195 use the JavaScript snippet), 183 homepages didn't load, 42 loaded without Linguise on the day and 21 translated pages timed out. The test only works on sites as they are now, so the usage chart starts in October 2026. A few customers hold several domains: 73 of the 1,097 repeat another Linguise domain's page title, so separate sites number about 1,020.
Expert Analysis: Linguise Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I run the crawlers behind this page, and Linguise is a product where the crawl alone tells you less than usual. A domain counts as a Linguise site when its page carries the WordPress plugin's configuration, the Joomla module's files or a script from static.linguise.com. Our October 2026 crawl found 1,359 clean domains carrying that code. Then, on 15 October, we asked every one of them for a translated page, and the answer cut the count to 1,097, 772 of them matched to a company.
Installed, but is it translating?
Linguise translates on its own servers and only while a plan is active. Its FAQ says that when a subscription expires, translated content stops being served. The plugin, the language switcher and the hreflang links can stay on the page. So we fetched every homepage and, where the page named a translated address, requested it. On 907 sites we could test a translated page: 645 served it, and 262 sent us back to the original language, almost always by redirecting to the untranslated address. I opened 15 of those in a real browser and every one landed on the original. The rate differs by install type: 222 of 702 WordPress sites (31.6%) failed, against 14 of 112 Joomla sites. We removed the 262. The 1,097 that remain are 645 confirmed and 452 we couldn't test, mostly JavaScript-snippet sites that publish no translated address.
Because that test only works on today's sites, the usage chart has one point, October 2026, and I wouldn't read growth into the uncut monthly figures either: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection has widened. 187 domains dropped Linguise since we began tracking it in March 2026, and 30 of those still run it on another hostname.
"For Linguise, the plugin on the page and the subscription behind it are two different facts. In our October check, more than one in four installs we could test no longer served a translation." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: the 262 lapsed sites are a list of companies that wanted a translated site, paid or trialled for one, and stopped. Only three of them run Weglot, GTranslate or WPML today, so most haven't moved to one of those three. For Linguise's rivals that's the warmest segment in this data. For Linguise, it's a win-back list.
Who the customers are
Small, with a thicker middle than ConveyThis's base. 50.83% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff and 31.54% have 11 to 50, so 82.37% have 50 or fewer, and only seven have more than 1,000. The ones that served translations when we checked include Poczta Polska, IBS Software, Zotefoams, Royal Van Leeuwen, Himoinsa and Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen. The industry spread is flat: IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 4.34% and no industry reaches 4.5%. The three technology labels add up to 10.36%, and Hospitality, at 3.64%, is the biggest group selling to foreign visitors.
Sales signal: this is a European B2B list more than a consumer one. Industrial firms such as Zotefoams, Himoinsa and Detroit Engineered Products are typical, each serving a translated corporate site to buyers abroad.
A European base
France leads with 138 matched companies, then Germany (91), the Netherlands (89) and the United States (71). Switzerland (53), Italy (33), Spain (32) and Poland (27) follow. The European countries in our top 15 hold 527 matched companies, more than seven times the US count, which is unusual for a company whose about page gives a California address. Consent tooling matches the geography: Complianz is on 11.21% of Linguise domains and CookieYes on 8.02%.
Sales signal: lead with GDPR-ready messaging and EU data handling. A US-centred sequence will miss most of this list.
Switching: overlaps, not moves
Our switching table for Linguise is empty. On the 1,097 domains, 21 run Weglot too, 11 run GTranslate and 2 run WPML, and none of these pairs passes our switching tests, so the overlaps read as sites trying a second tool. Price is the obvious lever. Linguise's Start plan is $15 a month for 200,000 words across unlimited languages; Weglot's Starter is €15 for 10,000 words in one language.
"Linguise sells words by the hundred thousand where Weglot sells them by the ten thousand, and its customer list leans to small European firms that read the word counts." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a rival competing for these accounts should compare cost at real word volumes. The 262 lapsed sites, almost none of them on a rival tool yet, are the easier first conversation.
The stack around it
On the 1,097 domains, WordPress runs on 63.81% and Elementor on 27.26%. Joomla is on 11.67%, because Linguise ships a native Joomla module; Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen and IBS Software run it that way. Squarespace (4.47%) and Webflow (4.28%) sites use the JavaScript snippet. Google Analytics is on 69.83% and Cloudflare's network on 31.36%.
Sales signal: treat the Joomla sites, 11.67% of the base, as their own segment, reached through Joomla developers rather than WordPress agencies. WordPress sites built with Elementor (27.26%) make up much of the rest.
What the vendor says and what we see
Linguise's about page says a team of 11 runs it, under DXT ONE in Dana Point, California, and that it opened to the public in 2021 with a WordPress plugin. Our data fits a young, plugin-led product: a WordPress-heavy footprint, a European customer base and, before our cut, a large group of installs whose plan had ended. Some customers also hold several domains: 73 of the 1,097 repeat another Linguise domain's page title, so separate sites number about 1,020. Agency discounts of 10% to 30% at three, ten and twenty domains suggest agencies matter to sales, and Seahawk Media, a WordPress agency, is on our list.
Sales signal: work the agency layer.

- European first: 527 matched companies in European top-15 countries against 71 in the US.

- WordPress plugin first, with a Joomla footprint at 11.67%.
Sales applications
Targeting: on TechnologyChecker.io, filter Linguise domains by country (France, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland) and by size (11 to 200 staff). Keep the 262 lapsed sites as a separate list with a different message.
Outreach template: "Your site still carries Linguise's language switcher, but the French version sends visitors back to the original page. If translation is still on your list, we can [specific offer] without changing your WordPress setup."
Competitive angle: the 21 domains running Linguise and Weglot together may be mid-decision. Lead with cost at their actual word volume and language count.
