Companies Using Transcy

Transcy's count needed a correction before it was useful, so I'll start there. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 2,827 live domains, 8th in Translation & Localization. A domain counts when a page creates Transcy's _transcy object or loads its script. I fetched every Transcy homepage in mid-October and found 248 stores whose only Transcy code was the snippet the app wrote into themes around 2020. We removed them. Of the 2,827 left, 2,553 ran Transcy's current code on the day, usually its Shopify app embed.

A snippet that outlived its address

That old snippet loads Transcy's files from transcy.fireapps.io, and the address no longer resolves. In a browser the requests fail with a name-not-resolved error, no Transcy object appears and no switcher renders. The stores are real, and many still trade, but none of them runs Transcy, which is why they're off this page. Some moved on: 10 of the 248 now run langify, 9 Weglot, 3 Langwill and 2 LangShop. Among the 2,827 that remain, 87 domains showed a password page, 113 didn't load and 73 carried no working Transcy code on the day.

Sales signal: the 248 removed stores are open to any translation app, and only 24 of them run one of the four rival apps in this table. For a rival app they're a better list than Transcy's own.

Domains and stores

Translated stores often run one domain per market. The 2,710 domains whose page named its Shopify store belong to 1,926 stores, and 381 stores account for 1,165 domains. The largest has 20. The 2,553 domains running current Transcy code belong to 1,802 stores. That's the buyer count behind a 2,827-domain headline.

Sales signal: dedupe by Shopify store. A store with ten country domains is one account, and usually the best one on the list, because it already sells in ten markets.

One month of data

The chart has a single point, October 2026, because the test that removes the dead snippets only works on stores as they are today. Before the cut our crawl counted 3,075 clean domains. Monthly counts wouldn't be like-for-like anyway: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, closed stores out and new ones in, and our detection widens. Since we began tracking Transcy on 16 March 2026, 757 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname, and 36 of those still run it on another.

Sales signal: size the market at about 2,800 domains and 1,800 live stores, and wait for more months before calling a trend.

Who the customers are

57.08% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 27.77% have 11 to 50. Only 20 have more than 500 staff. They're young: 44.54% were founded in the 2010s and 23.58% in the 2020s, against 19.46% in the 2020s on LangShop's profile. The bigger names mostly sell a product line direct: STL's optical fibre store, Lasko's fans and heaters, Best Friends Animal Society's shop, Bouwmaat's building supplies, Carrera's slot cars. Hardware brands from Asia, such as Unitek, Vaporesso and Viomi, run it on their international stores.

Sales signal: the founder or a one-person e-commerce team buys here. App-store reviews and free trials move these stores; a sales call rarely does.

Where they are

The United States leads with 142 matched companies, then Germany (74), Canada (49), France (48), the United Kingdom (48) and the Netherlands (47). China is 7th with 41. Retail and fashion labels cover 29.83% of companies with an industry (Retail 13.29%, Retail Apparel and Fashion 10.82%, luxury 3.71%, Apparel & Fashion 2.01%), and personal care makers add 4.17%. Compared with LangShop, whose list starts with Germany, Transcy is the more American of the two.

Sales signal: a US store translating into Spanish or French is the typical case. Canadian stores (49 matched companies) are a tidy segment for French-language services.

Next to Weglot, langify and LangShop

70 Transcy domains run Weglot today, 17 run langify, 10 LangShop and 10 Langwill. The Weglot pair is the loosest: only about half the domains ever seen with both still run both, while most langify pairs do. None of these pairs passes our switching tests, so we publish no corridor, but the Weglot pair is the one to watch.

Sales signal: the 70 domains running both apps are the accounts most likely to settle on one, in either direction. For Transcy's team they're the stores to keep.

The stack around it

Shopify is on all 2,827 domains in our analysis. Judge.me runs on 31.34% and Klaviyo on 31.59%. Loox (8.38%) and Yotpo Reviews (3.5%) follow, and Google Analytics is on 67.88%. Consent tools are lighter than on LangShop's stores: Pandectes 9.16% and Cookiebot 2.33%, against 13.58% and 6.53%.

Sales signal: with consent banners on so few of these stores, an EU-facing Transcy store selling into Germany or France is a fair prospect for a consent app.

What it costs

Transcy's Shopify listing names FireGroup (FIREAPPS JSC, Ho Chi Minh City) as the developer, gives a launch date of 28 May 2020 and shows a 4.5 rating from 2,567 reviews. There's a Free plan for one language and one currency. The pricing page (checked 15 October 2026) lists Local Plus at $14.90 a month, Regional at $29, Continental at $69, Cross-Border at $99 and Global at $599, with 20% off for annual billing and a 7-day trial.

Sales signal: the jump from $99 to $599 is where a growing catalogue starts comparing vendors.
