Companies Using Loox

I analysed Loox against our September 2026 crawl. Loox is a Shopify app, and when a merchant installs it the store's theme loads a Loox widget script with the store's own ID, plus a small global the app sets on every page. We detect those. On that basis 57,745 domains run Loox and 13,255 of them match a company record. The low match rate, 23.0% of live domains, is normal for small online brands that often have no company page to match. Loox says it serves more than 130,000 brands; stores still on a myshopify.com address don't have a domain of their own, so part of that gap is expected.

A clean count of one app

Two checks make this one of the easier profiles to trust. First, every one of the 57,674 live domains where we detect Loox also runs Shopify, which is what a Shopify-only app should look like. Second, in a random browser sample of 30 detected domains, all 28 that loaded were running Loox, each with its own store ID, and 9 showed a review widget or carousel on the homepage. The rest load Loox on product pages, which is where reviews usually sit. No store ID repeated, so there is no network of cloned stores inflating the number.

Sales signal: treat every row as a Shopify merchant that pays attention to social proof. You don't need to confirm the platform: all of them are on Shopify.

Flat since July

The chart reads 39,886 in June, 58,319 in July, 58,473 in August and 57,745 in September. The July step is ours: 18,462 of today's live domains were first seen that month, as our crawl widened, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month anyway. Since then the line is flat, and only 6.4% of live domains were first seen in August or September.

The turnover underneath is real but mostly isn't about Loox. 9,313 domains dropped a Loox detection since March 2026. Counted once per domain that is 8,904, and in 7,048 of those Shopify disappeared as well: the store closed or moved off its domain. Loox came off a still-running Shopify store in a small minority of cases.

Sales signal: the base is stable at about 58,000 stores, but individual stores come and go quickly. Check that a store is still trading before you reach out.

Who the customers are

74.86% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 18.76% have 11 to 50. They are young: 49.84% were founded in the 2010s and 33.65% in the 2020s. Next to the two other Shopify review apps we profile, Loox looks like Judge.me, whose 1 to 10 band is 73.73% and 2020s share 35.05%, and unlike Yotpo Reviews, whose base is older and larger (16.97% founded in the 2020s).

The large names are few, 33 companies above 1,000 employees, and several run Loox on a shop rather than the main site: the American Cancer Society on shop.cancer.org, Dunn-Edwards on shop.dunnedwards.com, Arduino on store.arduino.cc. hhgregg runs it on its main store.

Sales signal: the typical buyer is a founder or a two-person marketing team at a DTC brand. At the few large accounts, the merchandise or e-commerce team owns the shop, not corporate marketing.

Where they sell

The United States has 5,569 matched companies, 43.59% of those with a known country, followed by the United Kingdom (1,188), Australia (968) and Canada (639). English-speaking countries hold about two thirds. Germany (542), India (480), France (312) and Chile (282) come next. Retail (17.32%) and apparel (11.51%) lead the industries, with wellness, personal care and jewellery behind them.

Sales signal: an English-language, US-led market of apparel and wellness brands. Chile and Mexico, with 497 matched companies between them, are a small Spanish-speaking pocket worth a localised offer.

Loox and Judge.me run side by side

5,170 Loox stores (8.96%) also run Judge.me, far more than run Yotpo Reviews (971) or Stamped (398). That could look like merchants moving from one to the other, and the data says otherwise: 67.6% of domains ever seen with both still run both, and Loox leaves Judge.me stores at about its normal rate. No review app passes our switching tests, so this page has no migration table. Our data doesn't show why merchants keep both.

Sales signal: a store running two review apps is paying for a duplicate. Consolidation is a better pitch than a head-to-head switching story, which our data does not support.

The store stack

Apple Pay (77.22%), PayPal (72.55%) and Shop Pay (69.66%) are Shopify checkout defaults. On email, Klaviyo sits on 45.25% of live Loox domains, against 6.62% for Mailchimp and 6.14% for Omnisend, and Loox's own listing names Klaviyo and Omnisend among its integrations. Facebook Pixel runs on 67.82% and TikTok Pixel on 22.10%. Instafeed (13.69%) and PushOwl (9.65%) are other common apps.

Sales signal: nearly half of these stores send email through Klaviyo, so an integration there matters more than anywhere else for tools sold into this base. Our Shopify analytics report covers the wider app picture.

What merchants say

On the Shopify App Store, Loox rates 4.9 out of 5 from 9,686 reviews (26 September 2026). Merchants there praise the photo and video review widgets, automated review requests with discounts, and support. Price is where it differs most from Judge.me: Convert starts at $49.99 a month, while Judge.me has a free plan. Our data can't tie price to any removal: most stores that dropped Loox closed altogether.

Sales signal: support and visual widgets are what Loox is praised for, so a competing pitch needs an answer on support and widgets as well as on price.
