That makes LifterLMS the US-led outlier among WordPress course plugins: LearnPress's profile has 1,158 American companies and 1,068 Indian ones.
Share of the 1,362 LifterLMS domains we matched to a company record — 59.1% of the 2,304 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.

LifterLMS Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use LifterLMS? Very small ones. 77.29% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 17.43% have 11 to 50, so 94.72% have 50 staff or fewer. Only 3 have more than 1,000 staff. The larger named users include the International Gemological Institute, on its main site, and Econolite, on learn.econolite.com.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (45.34%), then the 2020s (24.3%) and the 2000s (15.08%). There is a long tail of older organisations, with 26 founded before 1960. The oldest names on our list are Warren Baptist Church in Augusta (1898), the Santa Casa hospital in Poços de Caldas (1905) and Econolite (1933).
What Industries Use LifterLMS the Most?
Professional Training and Coaching leads at 11.77%, then Business Consulting and Services (7.08%), based on our enriched company data. Education, Non-profit Organizations, Wellness and Fitness Services and E-Learning Providers sit level at 4.85%, 4.77%, 4.77% and 4.77%, and Mental Health Care makes the top ten at 2.07%. The four education labels add up to 14.48%, half their 28.73% on LearnPress's profile, so LifterLMS's buyers are coaches, consultants and charities more than schools.
Non-profits using LifterLMS include WINGS for Kids, the Mindfulness in Schools Project and GreenWave, which runs an ocean-farming hub on it. Healthcare organisations on LifterLMS include the Dasman Diabetes Institute in Kuwait, Aptiva Health and Clare Care in Ireland, which uses it for staff policies. Manufacturers using LifterLMS include Econolite, Haneco Lighting and ColDesi, which runs self-paced courses on training.coldesi.com.
LifterLMS Alternatives & Competitors
LearnDash (19,118 domains) is about eight times the size of LifterLMS, and LearnPress (13,905) about six times. They share little: 8 LifterLMS domains run LearnDash today, out of 16 ever seen with both, and 5 run Tutor LMS. LearnPress overlaps more than you'd expect, with 35 shared domains today out of 45 ever. None of these pairs passes our switching tests, because about half or more of the domains ever seen with both still run both. WP Courseware (897 domains) is the smallest rival in the table.

Expert Analysis: LifterLMS Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

LifterLMS is the smallest of the three free-core WordPress course plugins on my list, after LearnPress and Tutor LMS, and the most American. Our October 2026 crawl finds LifterLMS on 2,304 live domains, 1,362 of them matched to a company, 10th of 60 in Learning Management (LMS) with 2.39%. Its list leans away from schools and toward organisations training their own staff, contractors and members.
What the count measures
A domain counts when its pages load LifterLMS's stylesheet or its main script from the plugin folder. The signal holds up. In a random sample of 41 live domains, 39 pages loaded and all 39 carried LifterLMS's files. Before computing anything we removed 23 domains with for-sale or gambling titles, 22 of them from two gambling networks. Themes don't drive this count the way they do for LearnPress: Divi led the sample with 7 sites, two of them on the Divi Courses child theme, and LifterLMS's own Sky Pilot and the older LifterLMS LaunchPad ran on 2 each. We also opened the pages of the 50 named companies, and 48 loaded LifterLMS; the other two blocked us.
Sales signal: a LifterLMS site is usually a deliberate plugin choice rather than something a theme brought along, so expect an owner who picked it and can say why.
A slow, steady line
The chart reads 1,747 in June, 2,024 in July, 2,144 in August, 2,266 in September and 2,304 in October. I wouldn't read that as growth. The domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones coming in, and our detection widens over time. Since tracking began on 16 March 2026, 361 domains have dropped LifterLMS on at least one hostname, and 23 of them still run it on another.
"A third of LifterLMS's best-known users run it on a subdomain set aside for staff, contractors, customers or members. That's a different buyer from the course entrepreneur." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: plan on a pool of about 2,300 domains, not a fast-growing one.
Small, American and training-minded
77.29% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, against 70.89% for Tutor LMS and 66.23% for LearnPress, and only 3 have more than 1,000 staff. 45.34% were founded in the 2010s. The named companies show how it gets used. 16 of the 50 run it on a subdomain: Norda Stelo on formations.norda.com, Econolite on learn.econolite.com, the National Energy Corporation of Trinidad and Tobago on an HSSE contractor portal, Clare Care on a staff policy site. LifterLMS's own customer stories feature WP101, the WordPress training site, and we can confirm it: wp101.com loads LifterLMS in our crawl.
Sales signal: the buyer is often an operations, HR or safety lead with a compliance course to deliver, not a course entrepreneur. Pitch completion tracking and reporting before marketing features.
An English-speaking base
The United States has 467 matched companies, the United Kingdom 118, Canada 68 and Australia 66, which makes 719 in four English-speaking countries. India has 36. LearnPress's profile, by contrast, shows 1,158 American companies and 1,068 Indian ones. Industry follows the same line: Professional Training and Coaching leads at 11.77%, then Business Consulting (7.08%), with non-profits, wellness businesses and e-learning providers each at 4.77%. The four education labels add up to 14.48%, against 28.73% on LearnPress's profile. Continental Europe is thin but present: Germany 41, the Netherlands 40, Spain 35 and France 34, while Finland, with 23, ties Italy. Suomen Digimarkkinointi, for one, sells its Finnish digital-marketing course on opiskelu.digimarkkinointi.fi.
Sales signal: for US-based coaching, consulting and non-profit tools, LifterLMS sites are a tighter list than LearnPress's, Tutor LMS's or LearnDash's.
Little traffic with its rivals
We publish no switching rows for LifterLMS. LearnDash, about eight times its size on 19,118 domains, shares 8 domains with it today out of 16 ever seen with both. Tutor LMS shares 5. The surprise is LearnPress, with 35 shared domains today out of 45 ever, more than LearnDash despite LearnPress's much smaller US base. Most domains ever seen with each pair still run both, so we don't call any of it switching.
"LifterLMS owners don't seem to be leaving for LearnDash or Tutor LMS. The only rival it shares many sites with is LearnPress, and they still run both." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a migration pitch aimed at LifterLMS users has a small, quiet audience. Selling add-ons to the base they have is the better bet.
Divi and Google tools
Across the 2,311 domains in our clean live set, WordPress is on 99.78%. Elementor builds 43.66% and Divi 14.06%, against 3.01% Divi on LearnPress's profile. Cloudflare fronts 28.95%. Google Analytics runs on 56.43% and Google's Site Kit plugin on 10.51%, and CookieYes (8.18%) and Complianz (6.53%) are the usual consent banners.
Sales signal: Divi add-on and child-theme sellers have a better fit here than on LearnPress or Tutor LMS sites.
What it costs
LifterLMS's pricing page (checked 15 October 2026) lists a free Core Plugin and three annual bundles: Earth at $199 for the first year (normally $398, one site), Universe at $299 (normally $598, five sites) and Infinity at $799 (normally $1,598, unlimited sites). Renewals are at full price. The page says over 10,000 creators use LifterLMS, and its about page describes the company as independently owned.
Sales signal: the second-year renewal doubles the price, which makes month 12 the moment when a rival or a reseller can win the account.
