Companies Using Wiz
Our October 2026 crawl finds 2,717 domains with a Wiz verification record in their DNS. Wiz is the cloud security platform that Google finished buying in March 2026, and the record is how a company proves it owns an email domain in Wiz's login settings. So the count is organisations that verified a domain with Wiz at least once, not websites running Wiz. Below is the list of companies that use Wiz, with size, country and industry: HSBC, Pfizer, Nike, Morgan Stanley and LVMH are on it.
Big groups verify in bulk. One Wiz code covers about 30 domains of WPP's agencies, another covers lvmh.com and 19 more domains, and a third 19 HelloFresh sites, so when we re-checked our clean set on 15 October, 2,756 domains carried the record under 1,788 different codes. Wiz ranks 6th of 17 in Security Testing & Compliance with a 2.12% share, and 31.46% of the companies behind it have more than 1,000 staff.

Wiz Usage Statistics
The chart starts at 2,072 domains in June 2026 and ends at 2,717 in October. That rise isn't a run of new Wiz deals. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our DNS detection widened over the same months. The record itself hardly moves: since we began recording changes on 17 March 2026, 32 domains have lost it, and 3 of those still carry it on another hostname.

Which Countries Use Wiz the Most?
Which countries use Wiz the most? The United States, with 1,246 of the 2,450 companies we matched to a Wiz domain, about half. The United Kingdom follows with 224, then Germany (109), Australia (86), Canada (76) and France (74). Israel, where most of Wiz's engineers work, has 39, level with Spain. Turkey's 26 matched companies all sit under one Koç Group code, so they're one buying decision, not 26.
Share of the 2,450 Wiz domains we matched to a company record — 90.2% of the 2,717 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Wiz Market Share Among Security Testing & Compliance
What is Wiz's market share? 2.12% of Security Testing & Compliance, 6th of the 17 technologies we track there, on 2,717 of the category's 128,054 domains at TechnologyChecker.io. Vanta sits one place higher with 2,756. Read the share loosely: KnowBe4, Have I Been Pwned, Detectify and Wiz are all counted from DNS verification records, while eNamad's row counts a website trust seal and Vanta's a hosted trust page. No other cloud-security platform has a row, so this is not Wiz's share of cloud security.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Wiz Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Wiz? Large ones, by the standards of this category. 31.46% of matched companies with a known size have more than 1,000 staff (765 of 2,432), and 220 have more than 10,000. On Detectify's page the same share is 5.9%. The biggest single band is 51 to 200 employees (21.18%), and only 7.03% have 10 or fewer.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group was founded in the 2010s (33.63%), then the 2000s (19.58%). A further 12.61% predate 1960, a tail of banks, insurers and manufacturers that includes BNY (1784), HSBC (1865) and Pfizer (1848). Wiz itself started in 2020, and only 9.89% of the companies verifying with it were founded this decade.
What Industries Use Wiz the Most?
Software Development leads at 16.16%, followed by Financial Services (10.56%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (7.79%), based on our enriched company data. Add Insurance (4.1%) and Banking (1.78%) and money businesses reach 16.44%, level with software. Advertising Services at 3.48% looks odd for a cloud-security tool until you see the codes: two agency groups account for about 60 domains between them.
Financial services companies using Wiz include HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, UBS, RBC and BMO, each with its own record. Pharmaceutical companies on Wiz include Pfizer, GSK, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Takeda. Advertising groups using Wiz are the surprise: WPP verified about 30 domains under one code, from AKQA and Ogilvy to VML and WPP Media (formerly GroupM).
Wiz Alternatives & Competitors
The table sets Wiz beside tools it doesn't compete with. KnowBe4 (49.18%) trains staff against phishing, Have I Been Pwned (14.38%) searches breach data and Detectify (4.09%) tests websites, and all three are counted from the same kind of DNS record as Wiz. Vanta (2.15%) is a hosted trust page, a different signal again. Wiz's own rivals in cloud security, Orca Security among them, aren't tracked in this category. The overlap worth knowing: 49 Wiz domains run SafeBase today.

Expert Analysis: Wiz Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I run the crawler that reads DNS for every domain in our index, and Wiz is one of the cleanest DNS signals in this category. A domain counts when its TXT records contain wiz-domain-verification. When I re-read the 2,762 domains in our clean set on 15 October 2026, 2,756 still had it. The headline from our October 2026 crawl is 2,717 domains, 2,450 of them matched to a company, 6th of 17 in Security Testing & Compliance. The harder question is what the record means, and the answer changes how you should use the list.
What the record proves
Wiz doesn't ask for this record to scan a website. According to a setup guide from mnemonic, a managed security provider, the code appears under SSO & Login Security, next to a list called Allowed Domains for Wiz Users. A Wiz account names the email domains its people sign in from, and the owner of each domain proves control by publishing the code. So a hit means people with that email domain were set up to log in to a Wiz account at least once. Like most verification records, it outlives the contract: nothing breaks if it stays.
Sales signal: treat the list as organisations that bought or trialled Wiz, a ceiling on current customers. The useful fact is that a security team chose a cloud-security platform and set up single sign-on for it.
Accounts, not domains
The code is the interesting part. Those 2,756 domains carry 1,788 different codes, and 1,560 domains share a code with at least one other domain. One code covers about 30 advertising-agency domains, among them Acxiom, Weber Shandwick, R/GA and omc.com. WPP's covers about 30 too, from AKQA to Ogilvy. Koç Group's covers 28, Hearst's 22, LVMH's 20 and HelloFresh's 19. Santander, Lloyds Banking Group, Kering and Aramark each verified a portfolio the same way.
The code also shows when a record belongs to somebody else's account. Expel, a managed detection firm, carries 5 codes on expel.io, and O3 Cyber carries 8, which fits analysts signing in to client accounts. Kyndryl's only code is the one on about 30 WPP domains. wiz.io itself carries 11. Cases like these are a small minority: seven security-service firms carry three or more codes each.
"Count Wiz customers by code, not by domain. One code can be about 30 agency brands, and one consultancy's domain can hold several client accounts." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: group the list by code before you size a territory. 2,717 domains is closer to 1,800 accounts, and a code shared by 20 brands means one central security team to call, not 20.
A flat line, read correctly
The usage chart climbs from 2,072 domains in June to 2,717 in October. Most of that is our side: the domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our DNS detection widened over the same period. Departures are rare. 32 domains dropped the record since we began recording changes on 17 March 2026; 3 still carry it on another hostname, and when I re-checked the hostnames, 28 of 33 really had removed it.
Sales signal: a removed Wiz record is a rare, specific event, and worth a look when it happens. A record that is present tells you less about this quarter than it seems to.
Who verifies with Wiz
Of the five DNS-verified security tools I covered this month, Wiz has the largest share of big companies. 31.46% of matched companies with a known size have more than 1,000 staff, 765 of 2,432, against 14.6% on SpyCloud's page and 5.9% on Detectify's. 220 have more than 10,000. Age points the same way: 33.63% were founded in the 2010s, 12.61% before 1960 and only 9.89% in the 2020s. The named rows read like an index: HSBC, Pfizer, Nike, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, Starbucks, UPS and BMW Group.
Sales signal: the buyer is a central cloud or security team in a large company, often one that owns several brands. Start from the group parent and the code it shares.
Industry and geography
Software Development leads at 16.16%, but Financial Services (10.56%), Insurance (4.1%) and Banking (1.78%) add up to 16.44%. Advertising Services is 3.48%, which comes from the two agency codes. By country, the United States has 1,246 of the 2,450 matched companies, the United Kingdom 224 and Germany 109. Israel, where most Wiz engineers sit, has 39. Turkey's 26 are all Koç Group domains under a single code.
Sales signal: regulated, multi-brand businesses in the US and UK are the core. For anything sold per country, check whether a country's count is one group before you staff it.
Overlap, not switching
We publish no migration table for Wiz. The only overlap our checks surfaced is with SafeBase, the trust-center product: 49 domains run both today, out of 53 ever seen with both. That's a shared buyer, a security team that documents its controls publicly, rather than one tool replacing the other.
"Nobody swaps a cloud-security platform for a trust page. The overlap with SafeBase tells you the same team buys both." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: trust-center and compliance vendors such as SafeBase and Vanta will find a warm list here. Wiz's own competitors will have to find these accounts some other way, because our category table doesn't track them.
The stack around it
On the 2,762 clean domains, Cloudflare runs on 61.69%, Google Analytics on 74.19% and OneTrust on 30.59%. 1Password's verification record is on 10.5%, more than twice its share on the Have I Been Pwned page (4.58%). Adobe Experience Manager (7.39%) and Pendo (5.76%) are enterprise marketing and product tools.
Sales signal: a Wiz domain usually belongs to a company that already pays for several security vendors. Sell into the existing programme, not around it.
Price and ownership
Wiz asks for a quote, but its AWS Marketplace listing shows $24,000 a year for Wiz Essential and $38,000 for Wiz Advanced, each for 100 cloud workloads. Since 11 March 2026 Wiz has been part of Google Cloud, and Google says it keeps the brand and keeps supporting other clouds.
Sales signal: Google says Wiz stays multi-cloud and keeps selling through partners, so the partners who run Wiz for clients are a route into these accounts.
Key takeaways
1. 2,717 domains in October 2026, 6th of 17, verified for Wiz sign-in, not website scanning.
2. About 1,800 codes behind the domains; groups such as WPP, LVMH and Koç verify dozens of domains at once.
3. 31.46% of matched companies have more than 1,000 staff.
4. Only 32 domains removed the record since March, so the list is stable but slow to show churn.
5. Overlap with SafeBase (49 domains) shows the same security teams buying trust pages.
How to use this list
Collapse the rows by code, start with the group parent and treat every row as a past verification. I explain why we read TXT records as history in our DNS statistics report. The full list of 2,717 domains, with 2,450 matched companies and their size, country and industry, is on TechnologyChecker.io.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Wiz?
Mostly large and mid-sized companies, many of them groups that verified a whole portfolio of brands. Our October 2026 crawl finds a Wiz verification record on 2,717 domains, 2,450 of them matched to a company, and 31.46% of those have more than 1,000 staff. Named examples include HSBC, Pfizer, Nike, Morgan Stanley, Capital One, Starbucks and LVMH, which covers 20 group domains with one code.
How many customers does Wiz have?
We can't count Wiz customers directly. We count 2,717 domains carrying a Wiz verification record in October 2026. Those domains share codes heavily: on 15 October, 2,756 domains in our set carried 1,788 different codes, and groups such as WPP and LVMH use one code for dozens of domains. The number of Wiz accounts behind them is probably nearer 1,800, and some will have lapsed.
What is Wiz's market share?
Wiz holds 2.12% of Security Testing & Compliance at TechnologyChecker.io, 6th of the 17 technologies we track there, on 2,717 domains. Vanta is one place higher with 2,756. Treat the figure with care: the table mixes DNS verification records, website trust seals and hosted trust pages, and none of Wiz's cloud-security competitors has a row, so it isn't Wiz's share of cloud security.
What are the best alternatives to Wiz?
Buyers usually compare Wiz with other cloud security platforms, such as Orca Security, which publishes its own Wiz comparison. Our category table doesn't track those platforms. Inside the table, the closest neighbours by audience are Vanta, whose trust pages run on 2,756 domains, and SafeBase, which already runs on 49 Wiz domains. KnowBe4 and Detectify solve different problems: staff training and website testing.
Which countries use Wiz the most?
The United States, with 1,246 of the 2,450 companies we matched to a Wiz domain, then the United Kingdom (224), Germany (109), Australia (86), Canada (76) and France (74). Israel, where most of Wiz's engineers are based, has 39, level with Spain. Turkey has 26, and every one of them sits under the same Koç Group code, so that's one account.
What size companies use Wiz?
Larger than most tools in its category. Of matched companies with a known size, 31.46% have more than 1,000 employees (765 of 2,432) and 9.05% more than 10,000; on Detectify's page only 5.9% pass 1,000. The biggest single band is 51 to 200 staff, at 21.18%. Just 7.03% have 10 or fewer, so very small firms rarely verify a domain with Wiz.
How old are companies that use Wiz?
Mostly established ones. The largest group was founded in the 2010s (33.63%), then the 2000s (19.58%), and 12.61% are older than 1960, among them HSBC (1865), Pfizer (1848) and BNY (1784). Only 9.89% were founded in the 2020s, the decade Wiz itself started in. Expect banks, insurers, drug makers and software firms rather than young startups.
What is the ideal customer profile for Wiz?
On our data, a company of 201 to 5,000 staff (44.21% of matched companies) or a group well above that, in software, financial services or IT services, based in the United States, the UK or Germany and founded after 2000. Its sites sit behind Cloudflare (61.69%) and often run OneTrust (30.59%). Expect several brands per account: 1,560 domains share a code with another.
Is Wiz owned by Google?
Yes. Google completed its acquisition of Wiz on 11 March 2026, according to Google Cloud's announcement, and law firm Cleary Gottlieb puts the deal at $32 billion. Wiz joined Google Cloud and kept its brand. Google says Wiz products remain available across other clouds, naming Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Oracle Cloud, and sold through partners.
Is Wiz an Israeli company?
It began as one. Wikipedia describes Wiz as Israeli-American: founded in January 2020 by Assaf Rappaport, Yinon Costica, Roy Reznik and Ami Luttwak, headquartered in New York, with most of its engineers in Tel Aviv. Since March 2026 it has belonged to Google. In our data, 39 of the 2,450 companies with a Wiz record are based in Israel.
What does Wiz cost?
Wiz doesn't publish a price list; its pricing page asks for a quote. Its AWS Marketplace listing gives a reference point: $24,000 a year for Wiz Essential and $38,000 for Wiz Advanced, each covering 100 cloud workloads, plus add-ons such as Wiz Sensor ($28,000 per 100 sensors) and Wiz Defend ($18,000 for 300 GB of logs a month). Checked 15 October 2026.
What is the wiz-domain-verification TXT record?
It's the DNS record a company publishes to prove it owns an email domain in Wiz's login settings. A Wiz admin adds the domain under SSO & Login Security, in a list called Allowed Domains for Wiz Users, and Wiz shows a wiz-domain-verification code to publish, per a setup guide from the security provider mnemonic. Does a Wiz DNS record mean a company still uses Wiz?
Not necessarily. The record proves someone verified the domain once, and nothing breaks if it stays after a contract ends. It's stable, though: only 32 domains dropped it between 17 March and October 2026. Some records also belong to another company's account. Expel's domain carries five different Wiz codes, most likely one for each client account its analysts work in.
What is Wiz cloud security?
Wiz is a cloud security platform that looks for risk across an organisation's code, cloud accounts and running workloads; its homepage describes one platform connecting code, cloud and runtime. It's priced per cloud workload, as its AWS Marketplace listing shows, and works across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and Oracle. Our crawl sees only its login-domain record, not the scanning.
