Companies Using Osano
One Osano account in our crawl runs the consent banner on 894 funeral-home websites, all built by the same funeral-home web provider. A lot of Osano is bought that way: a platform signs up once and turns the banner on across the sites it hosts. Our September 2026 crawl finds Osano on 31,663 websites, but where the script shows the account ID, 7,033 domains belong to 1,522 accounts, 4.6 each. Below is the list of companies that use Osano, including Halliburton, New York University, Hilton Grand Vacations and Love's Travel Stops, with size, country and industry.
Osano ranks 19th of 129 technologies in Consent & Privacy Management with 0.78% of domains, far behind self-serve banners like CookieYes and between OneTrust and TrustArc, the first two names on Osano's own list of alternatives. Read the breakdowns with the platforms in mind: funeral homes are 4,304 of the live domains (13.2%) and make up the whole 9.30% Individual and Family Services row. Osano customers are overwhelmingly American, 80.07% of the companies we could place.

Osano Usage Statistics
The chart climbs through the summer to 31,663 websites in September 2026. Don't read that as growth. The rule we use for Osano hasn't changed since March, but the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our coverage widened over the summer: 18.97% of today's Osano domains were first seen in August or September. Exits are countable. 3,085 domains dropped Osano since we began tracking it in March 2026.

Which Countries Use Osano the Most?
Which countries use Osano the most? The United States, with 14,318 matched companies, about 15 times the United Kingdom's 967, then Canada (616), Germany (246) and Finland (237). Finland is the odd one, and it's one platform: Kotisivukone, a Finnish small-business website builder, puts Osano on its customers' sites. Builders hand out the Termly banner the same way on a larger scale: about 48% of Termly's 42,303 live domains get it from their website builder, per its profile. The US lead survives removing the platform fleets, with 7,629 matched companies left. These counts cover the 18,334 Osano domains we matched to a company.
Share of the 18,334 Osano domains we matched to a company record — 57.9% of the 31,663 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Osano Market Share Among Consent & Privacy Management
What is Osano's market share? 0.78% of Consent & Privacy Management, 19th of the 129 technologies we track there, counted in domains at TechnologyChecker.io. Volume products set that rank: CookieYes (769,048 domains) and Complianz (449,943) are banner plugins a small site installs itself. Osano sells a privacy platform, and among the vendors it names as alternatives, OneTrust is larger (174,655) and TrustArc smaller (13,311). Because whole platform fleets sit inside Osano's count, it overstates the number of buyers.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Osano Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Osano? On paper, small ones: 47.81% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 28.22% have 11 to 50. Part of that is the platforms, because a funeral home, an estate agent or a dealer matches to a small company even when its website provider holds the Osano account. Take the fleets out and 1 to 10 falls only to 44.15%, so the small-company tilt is real. At the other end, 698 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff, among them Halliburton, Amentum, NYU and Hilton Grand Vacations.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group was founded in the 2010s (26.63%), then the 2000s (17.82%). Third comes a surprise: 17.57% predate 1960, and most of those are funeral homes on one website provider's platform. Take the platform fleets out and the pre-1960 share falls to 11.47% while the 2010s rise to 32.05%, based on our enriched company data.
What Industries Use Osano the Most?
The top row, Individual and Family Services at 9.30%, is funeral homes, nearly all of them through one website provider. Real Estate (7.40%) comes next, then Software Development (4.01%), Consumer Services (3.62%) and Retail (3.46%). Without the platform fleets the order is Real Estate 8.22%, Software Development 5.72%, Retail 4.10%, probably closer to the buyers Osano sells to directly, based on our enriched company data at TechnologyChecker.io.
Real estate brands using Osano include Douglas Elliman on elliman.com and Realty ONE Group, while Keller Williams' 177 agent sites show how one brokerage can add hundreds of domains under a single account. Universities using Osano include New York University, Florida State and University College Dublin. Hospitals and health systems on Osano include Adventist Health, Boston Medical Center and Premise Health.
Osano Alternatives & Competitors
Osano is ranked by domains against banner plugins, but the vendors it names as alternatives are privacy platforms. OneTrust customers are far larger: 2,543 of the companies we matched to OneTrust employ more than 10,000 people, per its profile, against 116 for Osano. The companies that use TrustArc show the same platform shape at a smaller scale, with 2,319 domains on 597 accounts, about 3.88 each. Overlap is thin: 305 Osano websites also run OneTrust and 87 run TrustArc.
Tech Stack of Osano-Powered Websites
Across the 32,562 live Osano domains, HubSpot runs on 10.94%, with Pardot (3.05%), Marketo (2.49%) and 6sense (1.51%) behind it: the marketing stack of B2B companies, not small shops. WordPress is on 24.48% and Google Analytics on 85.15%. Two rows are platform fingerprints more than choices: Brightspot (5.94%) is the publishing system behind newspaper groups that put Osano across their titles, and Invoca call tracking (3.40%) sits on dealer and agent sites. UserWay, an accessibility overlay, is on 8.86%.

How We Counted Osano Websites
A website counts here if a page on it loads Osano's consent script from cmp.osano.com or sets Osano's own JavaScript object. That is the Osano consent platform only. Osano's free open-source banner library is a different script, counted on the Cookie Consent by Osano profile, and Osano's privacy-program products (data requests, data mapping, vendor risk) aren't part of what the rule detects. We checked the rule in September 2026 on 32 random live domains: 11 were behind a bot wall, mostly funeral-home, dealer and agent sites, and all 21 of the rest loaded the Osano script.
What the count measures is websites. Osano's script address carries the customer's account ID. For the 7,033 domains where we recorded it there are 1,522 accounts, about 4.6 domains each, and 4,193 of those domains (59.6%) sit in accounts with ten or more. The largest is a funeral-home website provider with 894 sites, followed by 337 equipment-dealer sites built on Sandhills, 177 Keller Williams agent sites, 157 association sites, 151 UK car-dealer sites built by GForces and 146 Finnish small-business sites on Kotisivukone. By page title or domain name, 4,304 of the 32,562 live Osano domains (13.2%) are funeral homes, and of the 875 of them with a recorded account, 847 belong to that one provider. Hosting records add at least 5,836 domains (17.9%) that point at a vertical website platform, among them Sandhills (1,902), YM Careers job boards (637), Kotisivukone (632), Keller Williams (422) and Townsquare Media radio stations (388).
We don't remove any of this from the headline. The banners are real and the platforms pay for them, so every chart and table uses the full count, and our category table shows the same 31,663. Read it as websites, though. Take out the 12,377 domains that are platform sites, members of an account with ten or more domains, or funeral homes, and about 20,200 remain. On that set the top industry becomes Real Estate (8.22%), ahead of Software Development (5.72%) and Retail (4.10%); companies founded before 1960 fall from 17.57% to 11.47%; and 1 to 10 employee companies fall only from 47.81% to 44.15%. In a sample of 200 domains, 30.5% redirected to another Osano domain, one more reason not to read the count as companies.
The named list got the same treatment. We left out rows where the banner belongs to a platform's account, such as Keller Williams' agent fleet, and removed six more by hand, among them Xylem's and Schroders' brand portals, which run on Bynder under one Osano account shared by 27 client portals.
Expert Analysis: Osano Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Osano looked like an easy one. The detection is one script address, cmp.osano.com, and it held up: all 21 random live pages we could reach loaded it. The hard part was the unit. Our September 2026 crawl counts 31,663 websites running Osano, 18,334 of them matched to a company record, and a large share of those websites belong to platforms that bought one Osano account and put the banner on every site they host.
Websites are not accounts
Osano's script address carries the customer's account ID. For the 7,033 domains where we recorded it, there are 1,522 accounts, 4.6 domains each, and 59.6% of those domains sit in accounts with ten or more. The biggest is a funeral-home website provider with 894 sites under one ID. After it come 337 equipment-dealer sites built on Sandhills, 177 Keller Williams agent sites, 157 association sites, 151 UK car-dealer sites built by GForces and 146 Finnish small-business sites on Kotisivukone. Hosting records add radio stations on Townsquare Media, job boards on YM Careers and property-management sites: at least 5,836 domains (17.9%) point at a vertical website platform.
Even the named list needed checking. amp.xylem.com and mybrand.schroders.com load Osano under one account shared by 27 brand portals, all hosted by the digital-asset platform Bynder. The banner is Bynder's, so we took Xylem and Schroders off the list, along with four more rows like them.
"One account in our data runs Osano on 894 funeral-home websites. When you count domains, a single platform deal can look like hundreds of customers." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: prospect at the account level. A dealer or agent site with Osano is usually its website provider's customer, and the provider is the one who can change vendors.
The chart measures our reach
The usage chart climbs through the summer to 31,663 in September. The rule hasn't changed since March, and the rise isn't adoption either: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our coverage widened over the summer; 18.97% of today's Osano domains were first seen in August or September. What we can count is exits: 3,085 domains dropped Osano since we began tracking it in March 2026.
Sales signal: size the opportunity in accounts, not websites. At 4.6 domains per account where we can see it, the number of buyers is a fraction of 31,663, and four months of data won't support a growth pitch.
Who buys Osano directly
Remove the 12,377 domains that are platform sites, members of accounts with ten or more domains, or funeral homes, and about 20,200 remain. On that set the top industries are Real Estate (8.22%), Software Development (5.72%) and Retail (4.10%), and companies founded before 1960 fall from 17.57% to 11.47%. The size mix barely moves: 44.15% have 1 to 10 employees, against 47.81% on the full count. So the direct base is still mostly small, with an enterprise tail: 396 companies with more than 1,000 staff remain after the cut (698 on the full count), including Halliburton, Amentum, New York University, Hilton Grand Vacations and Owens Corning. Most run it on the main domain. Harley-Davidson's account also covers LiveWire and Buell, and Riot Games' covers leagueoflegends.com. Osano's customer stories name the American Society of Anesthesiologists and Gear Patrol, and both load Osano in our crawl.
"Take the platforms out and Osano's buyers look like US marketing teams at mid-size companies, plus about 400 large ones. That's a smaller, sharper market than 31,663 websites suggests." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: the direct buyers are US real-estate brokerages, software companies and mid-size B2B firms. That's where the alternatives on Osano's own list, such as Usercentrics and Cookiebot, would compete for the same budget.
Why there's no switching table
Three flows into Osano pass our numeric switching tests, and each turns out to be a handful of customers moving their own portfolios. The largest, 216 domains from CookieYes, is mostly a single live-venue website provider: 18 of the 24 movers we opened load the same Osano account. A corridor made by one customer is a sales win, not a market trend, so this page doesn't publish one.
Sales signal: watch the platforms, not the flows. When a funeral-home or dealer-site provider changes consent vendor, hundreds of sites move in a day.
The stack says B2B marketing
HubSpot runs on 10.94% of Osano domains, with Pardot (3.05%), Marketo (2.49%) and 6sense (1.51%) behind it, and Salesforce CRM on 3.29%. WordPress is on 24.48% and Google Analytics on 85.15%. Two rows are platform fingerprints rather than choices: Brightspot (5.94%) is the publishing system behind newspaper groups that deploy Osano across their titles, and Invoca call tracking (3.40%) sits on dealer and agent sites. UserWay, an accessibility overlay, is on 8.86%.
Sales signal: an Osano site running HubSpot or Marketo has a marketing team that owns consent, and that team is the buyer for consent-mode and tag-governance tools.
What Osano says, and what we see
Osano's own pages give three sizes on the same day: "Join 1000+ Companies" on the plans page, "5,000+ leaders" on the customer-stories page and "40,000+ Osano users" on its company facts page (all read 29 September 2026). The last counts users, not companies. Our 1,522 accounts cover only the 7,033 domains where we can read the ID, so the full number is higher, and a figure in the low thousands is plausible. Pricing fits the platform pattern: the Free plan covers one domain and 5,000 monthly visitors, Plus is $199 a month for three domains, and the custom Basic Privacy tier removes the domain limit, the tier a provider with 894 sites would need.
Sales signal: small Osano sites on the self-serve plans may never have spoken to Osano. Custom-tier accounts are priced through Osano's sales team, so they carry a negotiated renewal to win or defend.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Osano?
Larger US organisations, plus many small sites whose website provider bought Osano for them. Our crawl finds Osano on 31,663 websites; named users include Halliburton, New York University, Amentum, Hilton Grand Vacations and Love's Travel Stops. Where we can read the account ID, 7,033 domains belong to 1,522 accounts, and one funeral-home website provider runs nearly all of the 4,304 funeral-home sites in the count.
How many customers does Osano have?
Osano's own pages give different figures: "Join 1000+ Companies" on its plans page, "5,000+ leaders" on its customer-stories page and "40,000+ Osano users" on its company facts page (all read 29 September 2026). Our crawl finds its banner on 31,663 websites, but websites aren't customers: where the script shows the account ID, 7,033 domains resolve to 1,522 accounts. 3,085 domains dropped Osano since March 2026.
What is Osano's market share?
0.78% of Consent & Privacy Management, 19th of the 129 technologies we track there, counting 31,663 domains. Self-serve banner plugins fill the top of that table: CookieYes has 769,048 domains and Complianz 449,943. Among the privacy platforms Osano compares itself with, OneTrust is larger (174,655) and TrustArc smaller (13,311). Platform fleets make Osano's domain count higher than its number of buyers.
What are the best alternatives to Osano?
Osano's own list names OneTrust, TrustArc, Cookiebot, Usercentrics, DataGrail, Securiti, Transcend, Didomi and Ketch. In our crawl, OneTrust (174,655 domains) is the bigger enterprise suite, TrustArc (13,311) the smaller one, and Cookiebot (287,710) and Usercentrics (99,670) are mostly European. For a banner on one small site, self-serve tools like CookieYes and Complianz are the common choice.
Which countries use Osano the most?
The United States, by a long way: 14,318 matched companies, 80.07% of those we could place, then the United Kingdom (967), Canada (616), Germany (246) and Finland (237). Finland's count is mostly one platform, Kotisivukone, a Finnish website builder that runs Osano on its customers' sites. These counts cover the 18,334 Osano domains we matched to a company.
What size companies use Osano?
Mostly small ones on paper: 47.81% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 28.22% have 11 to 50. Some are funeral homes, agents and dealers whose website provider holds the Osano account, but removing those platform fleets only moves the 1 to 10 share to 44.15%. 698 matched companies have more than 1,000 staff, including Halliburton, Amentum and New York University.
How old are companies that use Osano?
The largest group was founded in the 2010s (26.63%), then the 2000s (17.82%) and before 1960 (17.57%). That pre-1960 share is mostly funeral homes on one website provider's platform; without the platform fleets it drops to 11.47% and the 2010s rise to 32.05%. So treat the old-company tail as one platform, not a pattern among heritage brands.

Partly. Osano's Free plan costs $0 a month for one domain, one user and 5,000 monthly visitors (plans page, 29 September 2026); anything bigger starts at Plus, $199 a month. Separately, Osano maintains Cookie Consent, a free, MIT-licensed open-source banner library. It's a different script, which we count on its own profile, so it isn't part of this page's 31,663.
Osano vs OneTrust: what is the difference?
Both sell consent management plus privacy-program tools such as data requests, data mapping and assessments. OneTrust is far bigger in our crawl, 174,655 domains to Osano's 31,663, and more enterprise: 2,543 of its matched companies have over 10,000 staff, against 116 for Osano. Osano publishes self-serve prices (Free, then $199 a month) and pitches itself as the simpler option. Only 305 Osano websites also run OneTrust.
Is Osano a CMP?
Yes. Osano's consent product is a consent management platform, and Osano says it is a Google-certified CMP partner that supports Google Consent Mode v2. The same account can add data requests, data mapping, assessments and vendor risk. Our crawl only sees the CMP: a one-line script from cmp.osano.com, which all 21 of the reachable random sites we opened in September 2026 loaded.
What kind of company is Osano?
A privacy-software company based in Austin, Texas, founded in October 2018 by Arlo Gilbert and Scott Hertel. It's a Public Benefit Corporation and a certified B Corp, backed by investors including Baird Capital and Jump Capital, with Bobby Jaffari as CEO (Osano's company facts page, read 29 September 2026). It sells consent management plus data-request, data-mapping and vendor-risk tools.
How does Osano work?
A site adds one script from cmp.osano.com. Its address carries the customer's account ID and a configuration ID, and the script shows a banner suited to the visitor's region, can hold back trackers until consent and records the choice. That account ID is how we see the platforms: 7,033 Osano domains we could read belong to 1,522 accounts, and one of them covers 894 funeral-home sites.
