Companies Using Salesforce Experience Cloud
Our October 2026 crawl finds Salesforce Experience Cloud on 4,712 domains. It's the Salesforce product, formerly Community Cloud, that companies use to build help centres, partner portals and member sites on their Salesforce data, and it often runs on a subdomain: support.southwest.com, partnerportal.xerox.com, help.lidl.com, mytravel.state.gov. Below is the list of companies that use Salesforce Experience Cloud, with each portal's address, size, industry and country.
Experience Cloud isn't a CRM, though our CRM category table counts it, at 0.63% of domains. Its buyers are large. 18.46% of matched companies with a known headcount (606 of 3,283) employ more than 1,000 people, about twice the share on the Salesforce core profile, and the list runs from DHL and Hewlett Packard Enterprise to FIMMG, the Italian family doctors' federation, which runs its whole website on it.

Salesforce Experience Cloud Usage Statistics
Experience Cloud reads 2,879 domains in June 2026, 3,449 in July, 4,329 in August, 4,669 in September and 4,712 in October. Don't read that 63.67% rise as adoption. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. The line flattened in October, up 43 on September. 112 domains have dropped Experience Cloud since we began tracking it in March 2026. Our long-run history has a first reading in June 2019, which the chart doesn't show.

Which Countries Use Salesforce Experience Cloud the Most?
Which countries use Salesforce Experience Cloud the most? The United States, with 1,671 matched companies, about half of the 3,339 we matched. The United Kingdom (249), Canada (160) and Australia (151) follow, then a European block led by Germany (122), France (103), the Netherlands (90) and Switzerland (62). Lidl runs customer help centres for the US, France and Italy on it. Brazil (37) and India (31) close the top 15.
Share of the 3,339 Salesforce Experience Cloud domains we matched to a company record — 70.9% of the 4,712 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Salesforce Experience Cloud Market Share Among CRM
What is Salesforce Experience Cloud's market share? 0.63% of our CRM category, 11th by domains, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Take the rank lightly. Experience Cloud is a portal product sold on top of Salesforce, not a CRM, and the rows above it aren't like-for-like either: the top row, Zoho, is mostly Zoho Mail records, and Sprinklr's 21,898 is largely one live-chat host on about 10,000 small-business sites. Salesforce itself is on 76,542 domains (10.27%).
Top Competitors by Market Share
Salesforce Experience Cloud Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Salesforce Experience Cloud? Larger ones than most Salesforce users. The biggest band is 51 to 200 employees (23.85%), but 606 companies, 18.46% of those with a known headcount, employ more than 1,000, and 139 employ more than 10,000. That's about twice the 8.98% on the Salesforce core profile (5,483 of 61,063) and more than four times Zendesk's 4.04% (2,712 of 67,180). A portal pays off when there's a big installed base of customers or partners to serve.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (23.98%), then the 2000s (19.38%). 18.65% predate 1960, a tail that includes Australia Post (1809), the Bank of the Philippine Islands (1851) and Standard Bank (1862). Just 5.87% date from the 2020s.
What Industries Use Salesforce Experience Cloud the Most?
Software Development leads at 12.58%, then Financial Services (5.78%), non-profits (5.62%) and IT Services (4.34%), based on our enriched company data. Tech companies run support communities and partner programmes on Experience Cloud, which puts them at the top; higher education (2.72%) and health care (2.5%) bring student, alumni and patient portals. The top ten industries cover 41.84% of the base.
Technology companies using Salesforce Experience Cloud mostly run support and partner sites: Hewlett Packard Enterprise at support.hpe.com, AMD at adaptivesupport.amd.com, Samsung SDS at partnerhub.samsungsds.com. Retailers on Experience Cloud run customer care, as Victoria's Secret, Hallmark and Skechers do. Government agencies using Experience Cloud include the US State Department (MyTravelGov) and the Treasury, on arc.fiscal.treasury.gov.
Salesforce Experience Cloud Alternatives & Competitors
Who competes with Salesforce Experience Cloud? Mostly not the CRMs in this table. Salesforce (10.27%) is the platform Experience Cloud is sold on, and vcita (2.51%), Bitrix24 (2.27%), Microsoft Dynamics 365 (1.83%) and Pipedrive (0.69%) are its neighbours only because our category puts it there. A portal buyer weighs help-centre and community tools such as Zendesk, Khoros, Higher Logic, inSided and Discourse, or a CMS such as Liferay, Sitecore or Optimizely. Several of those appear in the migration table below.
| Technology | Domains | Market Share |
|---|---|---|
| 76,542 | 10.27% | |
Microsoft Dynamics 365 | 13,629 | 1.83% |

Salesforce Experience Cloud Customer Migration
These are domains, counted since March 2026. 24 domains that run Experience Cloud dropped Zendesk, and 6 went the other way. On nine help-centre addresses the move happened in place: help.crunchyroll.com, support.abc.com, appsupport.disney.com, help.tijd.be and support.itrsgroup.com ran Zendesk and now run Experience Cloud. The bigger rows mean less. Of 97 domains that dropped WordPress, 37 rebuilt that same host on Experience Cloud and the rest changed their marketing site. HubSpot's 54 are mostly a tag removed, with 5 on the same host. All 23 inSided rows fall in the last 30 days, when 127 domains lost our inSided signal, so read them as one event.
Tech Stack of Salesforce Experience Cloud-Powered Websites
Percentages are of the 4,813 live Experience Cloud domains in our clean set, and they cover the whole domain, so they mostly describe the marketing site next to the portal. Google Analytics is on 77.66% and WordPress builds 26.49%. Salesforce's own marketing tool leads its category: Pardot (Account Engagement) runs on 18.37%, against HubSpot's 11.12%. Enterprise CMSs are common, with Drupal on 6.52% and Adobe Experience Manager on 4.03%, and 4.36% still run Zendesk somewhere on the domain.

Expert Analysis: Salesforce Experience Cloud Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I went into Experience Cloud, which Salesforce's own Trailblazer group still describes as formerly Communities or Community Cloud, expecting a CRM page. I found a map of where large companies meet their customers. A domain counts here when a page on it loads Experience Cloud's runtime: /s/sfsites/ resources, the Aura framework script, the salesforce-community meta tag or the LWC runtime flags. Our October 2026 crawl finds that on 4,712 domains. We matched 3,339 of the 4,813 in our clean live set to a company, 69.37%, and the companies are big.
A portal product, counted as one
The 4,813 domains hold 5,632 live Experience Cloud hosts, and the host names say what the product is for. support is the most common label (523 hosts), then help (404), portal (197), my (178) and community (140), with partner and partners adding 65. I opened 63 random reachable hosts on 10 October 2026: 57 served Experience Cloud's runtime, 2 more were Salesforce-hosted pages showing only the LWC flag, and 4 showed nothing, two of them because the domain now redirects elsewhere. On our top-50 list I dropped partner.unfi.com, a Visualforce lead form on Salesforce Sites, plus three rows I couldn't open or whose host no longer resolves.
Sales signal: target the subdomain. help.lidl.com belongs to Lidl's customer service team, while partnerportal.xerox.com belongs to whoever runs Xerox's channel, and those two teams buy different things.
Growth trajectory
The chart reads 2,879 domains in June, 3,449 in July, 4,329 in August, 4,669 in September and 4,712 in October. I wouldn't read that 63.67% climb as adoption. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection signals widen over time. The flat October, up 43, is the better guide to the real pace. 112 domains have dropped it since we began tracking in March 2026, 2.38% of today's count.
"Experience Cloud lives on subdomains. support.southwest.com and partnerportal.xerox.com are the real customer records here, and each one belongs to a different team." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: this is a stable, enterprise-weighted base of about 4,700 domains, so plan for fewer, deeper accounts.
Who buys it
18.46% of matched companies with a known headcount (606 of 3,283) employ more than 1,000 people, against 8.98% on the Salesforce core profile and 4.04% on Zendesk's. 139 employ more than 10,000. The names are the kind you'd expect: DHL, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, AMD, Mercedes-Benz, Southwest Airlines, General Mills, Honda. The small end is real too. 14.83% have ten or fewer staff, and FIMMG, the Italian family doctors' federation, runs its whole site on Experience Cloud. The base is also older than you might expect, with 18.65% founded before 1960.
Sales signal: enterprise rows are portal teams inside big service organisations. Lead with the numbers they report on, such as case deflection or partner onboarding.
Industries and countries
Software Development leads at 12.58%, then Financial Services (5.78%), non-profits (5.62%) and IT Services (4.34%). Tech companies use it for support communities and partner programmes, the support.hpe.com and adaptivesupport.amd.com pattern. Geography is broader than on Sage Intacct's profile, where France and Germany hold 19 matched companies between them. The United States has 1,671 matched companies, about half, and Germany (122), France (103), the Netherlands (90) and Switzerland (62) form a real European block. Lidl runs help centres for its US, French and Italian customers on it.
Sales signal: for European agencies and consultancies, the German, French and Dutch rows are a reachable list of companies already invested in Salesforce's portal layer.
What it replaces
The migration table counts domains, since March 2026, and the mechanism matters more than the size of each row. 24 domains that run Experience Cloud dropped Zendesk, and 6 dropped Experience Cloud and run Zendesk. On nine help-centre addresses the platform changed underneath the same URL: Crunchyroll, ABC, Disney's app support, De Tijd, Lyyti, ITRS Group, Expatrio, Biosite Systems and Extensis, whose help site now redirects to Monotype. ITRS's portal still lists a Salesforce sandbox named zendesksun in its security policy, a name that suggests how the project was filed internally.
The large rows are weaker. 97 domains dropped WordPress, and on 37 of them the same host was rebuilt on Experience Cloud; the other 60 changed a marketing site elsewhere on the domain. HubSpot's 54 are mostly a tracking tag removed, with only 5 on the portal's own host. The 23 inSided rows all fall in the last 30 days, while 127 domains lost our inSided signal, so that row is one event, not 23 decisions.
"Nine help centres moved from Zendesk to Experience Cloud without changing their address. That's the switch I'd watch, because it happens where the support team already lives in Salesforce." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: Zendesk accounts that also run Salesforce are the consolidation risk. For Experience Cloud partners, the 4.36% of these domains still running Zendesk somewhere are the obvious next projects.
The stack around it
Percentages are of the 4,813 clean live domains, and they describe the whole domain. Google Analytics is on 77.66%, WordPress builds 26.49%, Drupal 6.52% and Adobe Experience Manager 4.03%. Salesforce's own marketing automation leads: Account Engagement (Pardot) runs on 18.37%, against HubSpot's 11.12% and Marketo's 3.53%. Salesforce Live Agent appears on 2.02%, and identity providers are thin on the public pages, with Auth0 on 0.96% and Okta on 0.79%.
Sales signal: a Pardot-plus-portal domain has bought into Salesforce for marketing and service. Sell add-ons that work inside that org.
What it costs
Salesforce prices Experience Cloud per member or per login, billed annually. Its add-on price sheet, the version we fetched dated November 2024, lists Customer Community at $5 per member or $2 per login a month, Customer Community Plus at $15 or $6, Partner Relationship Management at $25 or $10 and External Apps at $35 or $15. Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited orgs can create up to 100 sites before buying licences, per Salesforce's licence documentation.
Sales signal: login-based pricing turns a busy help centre into a renewal conversation. High-traffic consumer portals are where cost pressure, and openness to alternatives, will show first.
Key takeaways
1. 4,712 domains in October 2026. The 4,813 in our clean set carry 5,632 Experience Cloud hosts, with support and help the commonest labels.
2. An enterprise-weighted base: 18.46% of matched companies have more than 1,000 staff.
3. Software, financial services and non-profits lead; the US holds about half, with a real European block.
4. Zendesk-to-Experience Cloud moves are small but real, nine of them on the same help-centre address.
5. The CRM share (0.63%, 11th) measures the wrong contest; Experience Cloud's rivals are help-centre, community and portal tools.
How to use this list
Filter to companies above 1,000 staff, then group by subdomain label: support and help for service tooling, partner and portal for channel software. An opening line for a knowledge or search vendor: "Your help centre at help.yourbrand.com runs on Experience Cloud; here's how other Salesforce service teams cut case volume there." Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Salesforce Experience Cloud?
Companies that need a customer, partner or member portal on top of Salesforce, often large ones. Our October 2026 crawl finds it on 4,712 domains, and 18.46% of matched companies with a known headcount employ more than 1,000 people. Examples include Southwest Airlines' help centre, Xerox's partner portal, Hewlett Packard Enterprise's support community, Lidl's help centres and the State Department's MyTravelGov.
How many customers does Salesforce Experience Cloud have?
We find Experience Cloud on 4,712 domains in October 2026, and 3,339 of them match a company record. Count those as sites, not contracts: one company can run several portals, and our 4,813 clean live domains hold 5,632 Experience Cloud hosts. Since March 2026, 112 domains have dropped it. Licence and login counts aren't visible from outside.
What is Salesforce Experience Cloud's market share?
0.63% of the domains in our CRM category, which ranks it 11th. That figure needs care. Experience Cloud is a portal product sold on top of Salesforce, not a CRM, so it's measured against tools it doesn't replace. Salesforce itself is on 76,542 domains (10.27%). Read 4,712 as the number of domains running an Experience Cloud site.
What are the best alternatives to Salesforce Experience Cloud?
It depends on what the portal does. For help centres, Zendesk is the usual alternative, and 24 Experience Cloud domains have dropped it since March. For communities, look at Khoros, Higher Logic, inSided, Bettermode and Discourse. For portals built on a content platform, Liferay, Sitecore or Optimizely. The CRMs beside it in our category table aren't real substitutes.
Which countries use Salesforce Experience Cloud the most?
The United States, with 1,671 matched companies, about half of the 3,339 we matched. Then come the United Kingdom (249), Canada (160), Australia (151), Germany (122), France (103) and the Netherlands (90). Switzerland (62), Spain (57) and Italy (52) follow. Lidl runs customer help centres for the US, France and Italy on it.
What size companies use Salesforce Experience Cloud?
The biggest band is 51 to 200 employees (23.85%), but the list leans large: 606 matched companies, 18.46% of those with a known headcount, employ more than 1,000, and 139 employ more than 10,000. That's about twice the large-company share on the Salesforce core profile. A portal needs a Salesforce org underneath and is sold per member or per login.
How old are companies that use Salesforce Experience Cloud?
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (23.98%), then the 2000s (19.38%). 18.65% predate 1960, including Australia Post, the Bank of the Philippine Islands and Standard Bank, and only 5.87% were founded in the 2020s. A portal makes sense once a company has a large base of customers or partners to serve.
What is the ideal customer profile for Salesforce Experience Cloud?
The ideal Salesforce Experience Cloud customer is: Company Size: 51-200 staff; 18.46% over 1,000, Location: US, then UK, Canada, Australia, Industry: Software, financial services, non-profits, Founded: 2010-2019 (23.98%), Portal: Help centre or support site on a subdomain — based on our analysis of 3,339 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
What is Salesforce Experience Cloud used for?
Building branded sites on Salesforce data for people outside the company. In our crawl the most common host names are support (523 hosts) and help (404), then portal (197), my (178) and community (140). The labels point to customer help centres and logged-in account portals first, then partner portals, B2B shops such as shop.cummins.com, and government services.
What are Salesforce Experience Cloud sites?
They're the websites and portals built with Experience Cloud, often on a subdomain like help.company.com or a my.site.com address. Salesforce lets Enterprise, Performance and Unlimited orgs create up to 100 sites without buying community licences, but some templates and logged-in users need them. We detect a site by its runtime, such as /s/sfsites/ resources.
What are Salesforce communities called now?
Experience Cloud. Salesforce's own Trailblazer group describes the product as formerly Communities, or Community Cloud, and sites once called communities are now Experience Cloud sites. The old name survives in the licences, Customer Community, Customer Community Plus and Partner Community, and in addresses: 140 live Experience Cloud hosts in our crawl start with community.
What are some Salesforce Experience Cloud examples?
Southwest Airlines runs its help centre on it (support.southwest.com), Xerox its partner portal, Standard Bank an API marketplace (developer.standardbank.com), Honda its MyGarage site, the US State Department MyTravelGov and General Mills its Ask General Mills site. Each served Experience Cloud's runtime when we checked on 10 October 2026. The list below gives every company's portal address.
How much does Salesforce Experience Cloud cost?
Salesforce sells it per member or per login, billed annually. Its add-on price sheet lists Customer Community at $5 per member or $2 per login a month, Customer Community Plus at $15 or $6, Partner Relationship Management at $25 or $10, and External Apps at $35 or $15. The sheet we fetched is dated November 2024, so confirm current prices with Salesforce.
What are the different types of Experience Cloud licenses available in Salesforce?
Salesforce's help documentation lists six licences for external users: Customer Community, Customer Community Plus, Partner Community, External Apps, External Identity and Channel Account. Partner Community is sold through two SKUs, Partner Relationship Management and External Apps, the second with more platform capacity. External Identity covers login and single sign-on and can be upgraded later.
Is Experience Cloud the same as Salesforce Sites?
Not quite, though they share hosting: partner.unfi.com, a Visualforce lead form, and Experience Cloud portals such as help.adt.com both point their DNS at Salesforce's live.siteforce.com. The difference is on the page. We removed partner.unfi.com from our list because it serves none of Experience Cloud's resources. Every row we kept loads Experience Cloud's own runtime.
Do companies switch from Zendesk to Salesforce Experience Cloud?
Some do, in small numbers. Since March 2026, 24 domains running Experience Cloud dropped Zendesk and 6 went the other way. On nine help-centre addresses the switch happened in place, including help.crunchyroll.com, support.abc.com and help.tijd.be. ITRS Group's portal even lists a Salesforce sandbox called zendesksun. Treat it as a lean, not a trend.
