Companies Using Pushly
Our October 2026 crawl finds Pushly on 1,701 live domains, and most of them belong to publishers. One Pushly account, Townsquare Media's, covers 355 of those domains, its local radio-station and music sites. Another single account covers 170 newspaper domains, from The Denver Post to the Chicago Tribune. So read the count as websites, not buyers. Below is the list of companies that use Pushly, with size, country, industry and site stack. It includes Fortune, the New York Post, the Tampa Bay Times, AccuWeather and the American Dental Association's news site.
Pushly sells web and app push notifications to publishers and, with a commerce suite launched in August 2026, to retailers. It ranks 7th of the 39 tools we track in Push Notifications, with 1.06% of the category. Almost three in ten of its domains (498 of 1,679 in our clean set) redirect to another site, such as the 80 sports and local domains that forward to nydailynews.com. Where we could read the Pushly account behind a domain, 1,188 domains map to 106 accounts.

Pushly Usage Statistics
Pushly reads 1,317 domains in June 2026, 1,649 in July, 1,668 in August, 1,685 in September and 1,701 in October. Most of the rise is the June to July step, and that step reflects changes on our side: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. It isn't a wave of new installs. Since we began tracking Pushly on 17 March 2026, 506 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname, and 88 of those still run it on another, so 418 left it entirely.

Which Countries Use Pushly the Most?
Which countries use Pushly the most? The United States, with 600 of the 708 matched companies, then the United Kingdom with 65. After that the list thins to three each in Spain, Australia and Canada, and two each in Switzerland, Germany and France. Two British publishers have large Pushly accounts: GRV Media's covers 30 domains, mostly football club news sites, and Future's 65 include Country Life and Ideal Home.
Share of the 708 Pushly domains we matched to a company record — 41.6% of the 1,701 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Pushly Market Share Among Push Notifications
What is Pushly's market share? 1.06% of Push Notifications, 7th of the 39 tools we track there, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The category is top-heavy: OneSignal, second, runs on 47,794 domains, about 28 times Pushly's count. The shares measure websites, not contracts. Pushly sells custom, sales-led plans to publishing groups that run it across dozens or hundreds of their own sites, while OneSignal also sells self-serve plans with a free tier, so each small site counts once.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Pushly Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Pushly? On paper, small ones: 47.5% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 30.86% have 11 to 50. That reading needs care. A local radio station or a single newspaper title often has its own LinkedIn page with a handful of staff, even when Townsquare Media or a newspaper group signs the Pushly contract. So the buyer is usually larger than the size chart suggests.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest age group is founded before 1960 (26.21%), then the 2000s (22.98%) and 2010s (22.18%). 95 of the 248 dated companies, 38.31%, were founded before 1990, and only 4.44% date from the 2020s. That fits newspapers with a print past: the Hartford Courant (1764), the New York Post (1801) and the Chicago Tribune (1847) all run Pushly.
What Industries Use Pushly the Most?
Newspaper Publishing leads at 15.63%, then Book and Periodical Publishing (14.69%) and Broadcast Media Production and Distribution (12.05%), the label most radio groups carry. Those three make up 42.37% of matched companies, based on our enriched company data. Add online video, media production, entertainment, internet publishing and writing, and media labels cover 60.82%. Pushly is a newsroom and audience-team tool first.
Newspapers using Pushly include the Chicago Tribune, The Denver Post, the Boston Herald and the Tampa Bay Times. Magazine publishers on Pushly include Fortune, Forbes, Domino and Good Housekeeping. Outside media, the American Dental Association runs it on ADA News, GOBankingRates on its personal-finance site, and AccuWeather and The Weather Company on their forecast sites.
Pushly Alternatives & Competitors
OneSignal (47,794 domains, 29.92%) leads this table, then Webpushr (4,125), PushEngage (1,468) and iZooto (1,310). The comparison isn't like for like. Pushly's own comparison page describes OneSignal as self-serve with a free tier; Pushly sells custom plans to publishing groups. The tools rarely share a site. Only 2 Pushly domains run OneSignal as well today (6 ever did), and none run iZooto (2 ever did), too few to call switching.

How We Counted Pushly Customers
A domain counts here when a page on it loads Pushly's SDK from cdn.p-n.io or creates the PushlySDK command queue. Townsquare Media's stations load the SDK through their own script bundle, and the PushlySDK queue still identifies them. We removed one domain whose title marked it as a for-sale or gambling page and cut nothing else. The headline 1,701 is our October 2026 monthly count; the checks below use the 1,679 live domains in our clean set when we re-read it in mid-October.
Domains are not publications. On 15 October 2026 we fetched the homepage of all 1,679 live domains in our clean set. 498 redirected to another domain, and 424 of those landed on a domain that is itself in the count. 80 forward to nydailynews.com (team and borough names such as thebearsdailynews.com), 25 to fortune.com and 16 to bizjournals.com. Yahoo is counted on 23 of its own hostnames, from finance.yahoo.com to its regional editions. Counted by where the visitor ends up, the 1,679 domains lead to 1,124 distinct sites.
Publications are not buyers either. Pushly gives every site a domain key, and we read 1,199 of those keys from our crawl and from the homepages. 1,188 still resolve to a live Pushly configuration; 11 point at one that no longer exists. Grouping those 1,188 domains by the account's push signing key gives 106 accounts. Townsquare Media's covers 355 domains, a newspaper account 170, Future's 65, Minute Media's FanSided network 50 and a Salem talk and Christian radio account 46. Those five hold 686 domains, 40.86% of the clean set, and 33 accounts have a single domain.
Is the code still working? In a random sample of 50 clean domains, 29 ran Pushly's SDK in a browser on the domain or the site it redirects to, and 19 registered Pushly's service worker within 20 seconds. Another 12 blocked our test browser, but their HTML carried a Pushly snippet whose account was live. Three loaded without Pushly on the homepage, four were unreachable and two were not real sites.
Expert Analysis: Pushly Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I expected Pushly's list to look like any other push tool's: a long tail of blogs and small shops. It doesn't. Our October 2026 crawl counts a domain when its pages load Pushly's SDK from cdn.p-n.io or create the PushlySDK command queue, and that finds 1,701 live domains, 708 of them matched to a company. Pushly ranks 7th of 39 in Push Notifications with 1.06%. The surprise was who owns those domains. Pushly gives every site a domain key, the key leads to a public configuration file, and that file carries the account's push signing key. So we can count accounts, not only websites.
Five accounts, 686 domains
We read 1,199 domain keys from our crawl and from the homepages. 1,188 resolve to a live configuration, and those domains group into just 106 accounts. Pushly's company page names Townsquare Media, Future, Hearst, Yahoo and The Weather Channel among its enterprise publishers, and our data agrees. Townsquare Media's account covers 355 domains, its local radio stations plus music sites such as Loudwire and Taste of Country. A newspaper account covers 170, including The Denver Post, the Chicago Tribune, the Boston Herald and The Mercury News. Future's covers 65, Minute Media's FanSided network 50 and a Salem talk and Christian radio account 46. Those five hold 686 domains, 40.86% of the 1,679 in our clean set. At the other end, 33 accounts have one domain each.
Sales signal: a Pushly list is really a list of publishing groups, each with many mastheads. Roll the rows up to the parent before you count accounts, and sell to the group's audience or revenue team rather than to each station.
Flat since July, and mostly alive
The chart reads 1,317 domains in June, 1,649 in July, 1,668 in August, 1,685 in September and 1,701 in October. The June to July step comes from our side: the domains we crawl turn over every month as dead sites drop out and new ones are found, and our detection signals widen. After July the line barely moves. Since tracking began on 17 March 2026, 506 domains dropped Pushly on at least one hostname, but 88 of them still run it on another, so 418 left entirely.
I also wanted to know whether the code still works. On 15 October we opened 50 random domains from the clean set. 29 ran Pushly's SDK in a browser, on the domain or the site it forwards to, and 19 registered Pushly's service worker within 20 seconds. Twelve more blocked our test browser, but their HTML carried a snippet whose account configuration was live. Three no longer showed Pushly on the homepage, four were unreachable and two weren't real sites. Of the 1,199 keys, only 11 point at a configuration that no longer exists.
"Pushly's 1,701 domains come down to about a hundred accounts where we can read them, and one radio group holds a fifth of the clean set. It's an enterprise publishing tool that happens to sit on a lot of websites." - Elif Arslan, CMO and Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: treat this as a stable installed base. The trigger worth watching is a group-level change, such as a new owner or a platform migration, which moves dozens of domains at once.
Domains that forward somewhere else
On 15 October we also fetched every homepage in the clean set. 498 of the 1,679 redirected to another domain, and 424 of those landed on a domain that is itself counted. 80 forward to nydailynews.com, team and borough names such as thebearsdailynews.com and queensdailynews.com. 25 forward to fortune.com and 16 to bizjournals.com. Yahoo appears on 23 of its own hostnames, from finance.yahoo.com to the Australian and Canadian editions. Counted by where a visitor lands, the 1,679 domains lead to 1,124 distinct sites.
Sales signal: dedupe by redirect target before you load this list into a CRM, or one newspaper will look like eighty prospects.
Old brands, small pages
The size chart says 47.5% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 30.86% have 11 to 50. I don't read that as a small-business tool. A local station or a single newspaper title often has its own LinkedIn page with a handful of staff, while Townsquare Media or a newspaper chain signs the contract. Thirteen matched companies have more than 1,000 staff. Age is clearer: 26.21% were founded before 1960, the largest single group, and 38.31% of the 248 dated companies before 1990. The Hartford Courant (1764), the New York Post (1801) and the Chicago Tribune (1847) all run Pushly.
Sales signal: these are print-era brands building a direct line to readers. Pitch subscriptions and first-party data.
News first, American first
Newspaper Publishing (15.63%), Book and Periodical Publishing (14.69%) and Broadcast Media Production and Distribution (12.05%) make up 42.37% of matched companies. A few names sit outside media: the American Dental Association runs Pushly on ADA News, GOBankingRates on its finance site, and AccuWeather and The Weather Company on their forecasts. Geography is narrow. 600 of the 708 matched companies are American and 65 British, and no other country has more than three. Two British publishers stand out, GRV Media with 30 football and motorsport domains, and Future with titles such as Country Life and Ideal Home.
Sales signal: outside the US and UK, Pushly barely appears in our data. European and Asian publishers are open ground for any vendor selling publisher push.
Rivals that rarely meet
OneSignal leads the competitor table with 47,794 domains (29.92%), about 28 times Pushly's count, then Webpushr (4,125), PushEngage (1,468) and iZooto (1,310). It isn't a like-for-like table. Pushly's own comparison page describes OneSignal as self-serve with a free tier and Pushly as custom-priced with a strategy team. The two rarely share a site: 2 Pushly domains run OneSignal today, and 6 ever did. Two ever ran iZooto, none now. That's too few to call switching in either direction.
"Pushly and OneSignal sit in the same category table but almost never on the same website. Different people buy them, for different reasons." - Elif Arslan, CMO and Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a rival pitching Pushly accounts has to replace a managed service, not a script. Lead with audience results and staffing, because price alone won't move a group that bought a strategy team.
The stack around it
Across the 1,679 live domains, Google Publisher Tag runs on 83.09%, Amazon Advertising on 76.71% and Prebid on 74.93%, so most Pushly sites sell display ads through header bidding. Chartbeat (35.56%), comScore (30.67%) and Parse.ly (21.92%) are newsroom analytics. Osano is the most common consent tool at 41.22%, and OneTrust is on 15.37%. WordPress runs on 54.32%, Shopify on just 2.62%.
Sales signal: ad-tech, consent and newsroom-analytics vendors will find a dense list here. Ecommerce tools won't, yet.
What it costs
Pushly doesn't publish prices; pushly.com/pricing returned a 404 when I checked on 15 October 2026. Its comparison page says plans are custom, based on audience size and channels, and include managed onboarding, a dedicated strategy team and campaign support with no separate services fee. On 4 August 2026 Pushly launched a commerce suite for retailers, per its press page. Our crawl doesn't show that base yet.
Sales signal: contracts are negotiated at group level, so renewals follow publisher budget cycles. Retail accounts are new to Pushly and worth watching over the next crawls.
