Companies Using SiteMinder
Our October 2026 crawl finds SiteMinder's booking engine on 1,094 domains. SiteMinder's pricing page talks about 56,000 hotels, and the gap comes down to what a website shows. We count a site when it loads SiteMinder's booking widget. A hotel that only uses SiteMinder's channel manager, feeding rooms to Booking.com and Expedia, leaves nothing on its own pages for us to find. Below is the list of companies that use SiteMinder to take direct bookings, from The Rees in Queenstown and Tokoriki Island Resort in Fiji to Plas y Brenin, the National Outdoor Centre in Snowdonia.
They're small, independent places, and most aren't American. Australia leads with 157 matched companies, ahead of the United Kingdom (122), Germany (120) and Spain (118); the United States has 70. 65.45% of companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff. SiteMinder ranks 19th in Booking & Reservations with a 1.48% share, in a table where restaurant reservation and ordering tools take half of the 18 rows above it.

SiteMinder Usage Statistics
SiteMinder's widget reads 970 domains in June 2026, 1,037 in July, 1,050 in August, 1,079 in September and 1,094 in October. Don't read that as a wave of new hotels. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection widens over time; the June to July step is mostly that. Since we began tracking SiteMinder in March 2026, 138 domains have dropped it from at least one hostname. 17 of them still load it on another, so 121 dropped it entirely.

Which Countries Use SiteMinder the Most?
Which countries use SiteMinder the most? Australia, with 157 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (122), Germany (120) and Spain (118). The United States has only 70, fewer than Spain, and New Zealand adds 37. Australia and New Zealand together hold 194 of the 877 companies we matched, which fits a company founded in Sydney. Italy, France, Portugal, Mexico and Indonesia have 15 or 16 each.
Share of the 877 SiteMinder domains we matched to a company record — 80.2% of the 1,094 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
SiteMinder Market Share Among Booking & Reservations
What is SiteMinder's market share? 1.48% of Booking & Reservations, 19th in the category, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The category mixes restaurant reservations, food ordering and holiday-let sites with hotel systems, so the rank says little about hotels. Among the hotel tools in SiteMinder's own table, Cloudbeds reads 4,258 domains and Mews 1,585, against SiteMinder's 1,094. We count only the booking-engine widget, so the share understates a company whose core product is a channel manager.
Top Competitors by Market Share
SiteMinder Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use SiteMinder? Very small ones. 65.45% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 21.82% have 11 to 50, so 87.27% have 50 staff or fewer, based on our analysis of 715 companies with a size. Only 18 have more than 200 staff. These are owner-run hotels, lodges and guest houses, each with its own Book Now button. Chains barely register.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Of the 211 matched companies with a founding year, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (40.28%), then the 2000s (19.91%). The 1990s and the 2020s have 9.95% each, and 8.06% predate 1960. Read these shares as indicative: only about a quarter of the 877 matched companies list a founding year.
What Industries Use SiteMinder the Most?
Hospitality is 73.25% of matched companies with an industry, and Hotels and Motels adds 2.82%, based on our enriched company data. Restaurants and Real Estate tie at 5.38%. On these sites that means pubs and restaurants with rooms, and serviced apartments, cabins and holiday lets. Travel Arrangements (2.55%) covers tour operators that also sell a bed.
Hotels using SiteMinder range from The Welcombe Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon to Méstil Hotel & Residences in Kampala. Outdoor centres on SiteMinder include Plas y Brenin in Snowdonia and the youth charity Brathay Trust, which both take accommodation bookings through it. Wineries using SiteMinder include Vergenoegd Löw Wine Estate in the Cape Winelands, which books its rooms the same way, based on our enriched company data.
SiteMinder Alternatives & Competitors

Cloudbeds (5.78%) and Mews (2.15%) sell property management systems with their own booking engines. Expert Analysis: SiteMinder Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I pulled SiteMinder out of our October 2026 crawl expecting a big number, because SiteMinder's pricing page talks about 56,000 hotels. The crawl finds its booking engine on 1,094 domains, 877 of them matched to a company. Both figures can be right. Ours measures what a hotel website shows, and most of SiteMinder's business never shows on one.
What the 1,094 covers
A domain counts when its pages load SiteMinder's booking widget, the script behind a hotel's Book Now button. SiteMinder's core product is a channel manager that pushes rates and availability to booking sites, and a hotel that only uses that leaves no trace on its own pages. To test the widget rather than trust the tag, we fetched every clean live homepage again in mid-October. Of the 1,050 pages that loaded, 1,006 still carried the widget, 9 linked to a SiteMinder booking page without it, 33 showed nothing and 2 returned server errors. We then opened 20 booking links taken from those pages. All 20 opened a live booking page for a named property, while a made-up property code returned SiteMinder's 404 page.
None of the seven customer stories we read on SiteMinder's case studies page, such as Moov Hotels in Portugal and Eco Tree Hotel in Hong Kong, turn up among our domains. Their stories are about channel management and revenue tools, which leave no widget behind.
Sales signal: treat this list as the hotels that sell rooms directly through SiteMinder on their own website. For a channel-manager pitch, SiteMinder's real base is far larger and mostly invisible to a website crawl.
Steady, not climbing
The chart reads 970 domains in June, 1,037 in July, 1,050 in August, 1,079 in September and 1,094 in October. Most of that rise comes from our side. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones coming in, and our detection widens over time. Since we started tracking SiteMinder in March 2026, 138 domains have dropped the widget from at least one hostname. 17 still load it on another, so 121 dropped it entirely.
"These 1,094 domains are hotels selling rooms through SiteMinder on their own websites. Set against the 56,000 hotels on its pricing page, most of its customers never appear on a homepage at all." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: this is a stable pool of about a thousand direct-booking sites. Nothing here supports pitching SiteMinder's segment as fast-growing, and 121 full drops in seven months are too few to call a trend.
Small, owner-run properties
65.45% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 21.82% have 11 to 50. Only 18 of the 715 companies with a size have more than 200 staff. Age points the same way. Of the 211 companies with a founding year, 40.28% were founded in the 2010s and 8.06% before 1960. The named users fit: the lakefront Rees Hotel in Queenstown, Lake House in Daylesford, the Royal Hotel in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight.
Sales signal: the buyer is usually the owner or general manager, often the same person. Sell anything that saves front-desk time or wins bookings back from the booking sites, and keep onboarding short.
Australia first, the US a long way back
Australia has 157 matched companies, the United Kingdom 122, Germany 120 and Spain 118. The United States has 70, fewer than Spain. Australia and New Zealand, SiteMinder's home region, together hold 194 of the 877. It was founded in Sydney in 2006 and has been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange since November 2021 (Wikipedia). The industry mix is narrow. Hospitality is 73.25% of companies with an industry; Restaurants and Real Estate are 5.38% each, which here means pubs with rooms, serviced apartments and holiday lets. A few outliers book beds for something else, like Plas y Brenin, the National Outdoor Centre in Snowdonia, and the youth charity Brathay Trust.
Sales signal: for a European or Australian hotel-tech product, this list beats a US-centric one. These owners already pay for distribution software and run their own booking page.
Who it sits beside
When the rivals in SiteMinder's table show up on its sites, they look more like partners. 19 domains run SiteMinder and Cloudbeds today, out of 26 ever seen with both, and the two companies announced a partnership in June 2024 to connect their platforms. 13 domains run SiteMinder and Mews, out of 16 ever. Those overlaps are small and stable, and we don't count them as switching.
"Where SiteMinder and a property system meet on the same site, they're usually working together. 19 of the 26 domains ever seen with SiteMinder and Cloudbeds still run both." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: property management vendors should read SiteMinder sites as integration prospects rather than displacement targets. The pitch is to keep the channel manager and change what sits under it.
The stack around it
WordPress runs on 70.61% of SiteMinder's 1,082 clean live domains, with Elementor on 21.9% and Divi on 8.87%. Google Analytics is on 66.36%. Few sites run anything hotel-specific for marketing: The Hotels Network reaches 2.77% and Sojern 2.68%. DoubleClick Floodlight, Google's ad conversion tag, appears on 12.85%, so a minority measure conversions from Google's ad tools.
Sales signal: the typical site is a WordPress build with little hotel-specific marketing on it. Conversion tools for small hotels have room here, and so does anyone selling metasearch or retargeting, given how few sites run Sojern or The Hotels Network.
What it costs
SiteMinder's pricing page, shown to us in euros on 15 October 2026, starts the base SiteMinder plan at €75 a month and SiteMinder Plus at €105, for a five-room property, per property, before tax. The booking engine we detect belongs to Plus, alongside a website builder and metasearch ads. There's a 14-day free trial, plans run month to month with 30 days' notice, and some products add a commission on completed stays.
Sales signal: a site with SiteMinder's widget is most likely paying for Plus or a group package, and can leave on a month's notice. That makes it reachable for a rival booking engine, as long as the switch leaves the channel manager in place.
Key takeaways
1. 1,094 domains in October 2026, 19th in Booking & Reservations with 1.48%. It's a floor on SiteMinder's booking-engine users, far below its own 56,000-hotel figure.
2. The widgets work: 1,006 of 1,050 reachable homepages carry one, and 20 of 20 sampled booking links opened a live property page.
3. One property per site: 639 domains with a readable property code map to 584 properties or groups, and the largest covers four domains.
4. Small and mostly not American: 65.45% have 1 to 10 staff, and Australia (157), the UK (122), Germany (120) and Spain (118) all beat the US (70).
5. Partners more than rivals: 19 domains run Cloudbeds alongside it and 13 run Mews.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses SiteMinder?
Mostly small independent hotels, lodges and guest houses outside the United States. Our October 2026 crawl finds SiteMinder's booking widget on 1,094 domains. 73.25% of matched companies with an industry are in Hospitality, and 65.45% with a known size have 1 to 10 staff. Named users include The Rees in Queenstown, Tokoriki Island Resort in Fiji, Hugo's Hotels in Malta and Caldera House in Jackson Hole.
How many customers does SiteMinder have?
SiteMinder's pricing page says 56,000 hotels use it. Our October 2026 crawl finds its booking widget on 1,094 domains, 877 of them matched to a company. The gap is expected, because hotels that only use SiteMinder's channel manager show nothing on their own website. Since March 2026, 138 domains dropped the widget from a hostname, and 17 of those still run it on another.
What is SiteMinder's market share?
1.48% of Booking & Reservations, 19th in the category, on 1,094 domains. The category mixes restaurant reservations, food ordering and holiday lets with hotel tools, and we count only SiteMinder's booking-engine widget, not its channel manager. Among hotel systems in its table, Cloudbeds reads 4,258 domains and Mews 1,585, based on TechnologyChecker.io data.
What are the best alternatives to SiteMinder?
For a booking engine bundled with property management, look at Cloudbeds or Mews. Cloudbeds connects to SiteMinder through a 2024 partnership, and 19 and 13 domains run Cloudbeds and Mews alongside it today. Lodgify suits holiday lets, with calendar sync and its own website builder. Revinate is the pick for guest data and email marketing rather than distribution. SiteMinder's own Little Hotelier is aimed at small properties.
Which countries use SiteMinder the most?
Australia, with 157 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (122), Germany (120) and Spain (118). The United States has 70 and New Zealand 37. Australia and New Zealand together account for 194 of the 877 companies we matched, which fits a company founded in Sydney in 2006. Italy, France, Portugal, Mexico and Indonesia have 15 or 16 each.
What size companies use SiteMinder?
Mostly very small ones. 65.45% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 21.82% have 11 to 50, so 87.27% have 50 staff or fewer. Only 18 of the 715 companies with a known size have more than 200 staff. The typical user is an owner-run hotel, lodge or guest house with its own website and booking button.
How old are companies that use SiteMinder?
Of the 211 matched companies with a founding year, 40.28% were founded in the 2010s and 19.91% in the 2000s. The 1990s and the 2020s have 9.95% each, and 8.06% are older than 1960. Only about a quarter of matched companies list a founding year, so treat the split as a rough guide rather than a census.
What is the ideal customer profile for SiteMinder?
The ideal SiteMinder customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (65.45%), Location: Australia, UK, Germany, Spain, Industry: Independent hotels, lodges, guest houses, Founded: 2010-2019 (40.28%), Website: WordPress site with a Book Now widget — based on our analysis of 877 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
What is SiteMinder used for?
Hotels use SiteMinder to sell rooms. Its base plan is a channel manager that keeps rates and availability in sync across booking sites, plus a channel marketplace and hotel payments. SiteMinder Plus adds a direct-booking engine, a website builder and metasearch advertising. Our crawl sees the booking engine: a widget on the hotel's own site that opens a SiteMinder booking page.
Is SiteMinder a big company?
Yes, for hotel software. SiteMinder Limited has been listed on the Australian Securities Exchange as SDR since November 2021, and its pricing page cites 56,000 hotels. It was founded in Sydney in 2006 and also owns Little Hotelier. On the open web, our October 2026 crawl finds its booking widget on 1,094 domains, the slice of customers that embed it.
Is SiteMinder a unicorn?
Not in the usual sense, because the word describes private start-ups and SiteMinder has been public since its ASX listing in November 2021. Before that it raised money from investors including Technology Crossover Ventures, which backed it in 2014. Its market capitalisation was about A$784 million (26 October 2026).
How much does SiteMinder cost?
SiteMinder's pricing page, shown to us in euros on 15 October 2026, starts the base plan at €75 a month and SiteMinder Plus, which includes the booking engine, at €105, for a five-room property, per property, before tax. Prices rise with rooms and products. There's a 14-day free trial, and plans run month to month with 30 days' notice.
What is the best booking engine for hotels?
We can't rank quality, but we can count websites. In Booking & Reservations, Cloudbeds reads 4,258 domains, Mews 1,585, Mirai 1,515, TravelLine 1,200 and SiteMinder 1,094. They differ in design: Cloudbeds and Mews bundle the engine with a property management system, while SiteMinder sells it beside a channel manager. Choose by the system that holds your room inventory.
What is the difference between SiteMinder and Cloudbeds?
Cloudbeds is a property management system with its own booking engine. SiteMinder sells distribution, a channel manager, with a booking engine on top. They work together more than they compete: the two announced a partnership in June 2024, and 19 domains run both today, out of 26 ever seen with both. Cloudbeds' row in our category table is larger, at 4,258 domains.
Is this the same SiteMinder as Broadcom's?
No. This page covers SiteMinder Limited, the Sydney hotel-software company whose booking widget loads from widget.siteminder.com. Broadcom's Symantec SiteMinder is an unrelated access-management platform for authentication, single sign-on and session management. Search results mix the two, but our count only includes websites loading the hotel company's booking widget: 1,094 domains in October 2026.
