Companies Using Mews
Our October 2026 crawl finds the Mews booking engine on 1,585 live domains, and the hotels behind them are mostly European. The Netherlands leads with 289 of the 1,295 companies we matched, ahead of Germany (141), France (133) and the United States (126). Below is the list of companies that use Mews, with size, country and website stack. It includes Generator's hostels, WestCord Hotels' ss Rotterdam and Hotel Jakarta, Freehand Hotels, Wombat's and Edyn, whose domain opens the Locke site.
Mews sells hotel management software, and our crawl sees the part a guest touches: the booking engine on a property's own website. When we re-checked the 1,601 domains on our list in October, 1,389 loaded its booking script and 21 only linked out to a Mews booking page. A hotel that runs Mews behind the front desk but sells rooms through another engine leaves nothing for us to find, so 1,585 sits far below the 15,000+ hoteliers Mews says use it, though it still includes 12 domains Mews owns and 77 that showed no Mews code when we re-checked. It ranks 12th in Booking & Reservations with a 2.15% share.

Mews Usage Statistics
Mews reads 1,317 domains in June 2026, 1,449 in July, 1,485 in August, 1,565 in September and 1,585 in October. Read it as a trend, not a same-domain comparison. The domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time, so the 132-domain step from June to July is mostly our side. Since we began tracking Mews on 16 March 2026, 138 domains have dropped it from at least one hostname; 15 of them still run it on another, so 123 dropped it entirely.

Which Countries Use Mews the Most?
Which countries use Mews the most? The Netherlands, with 289 of the 1,295 companies we matched, then Germany (141), France (133), the United States (126) and the United Kingdom (87). Belgium (79) and Switzerland (63) follow. Benelux alone holds 368 matched companies, 28.42% of the total. That's a different map from SiteMinder's profile, led by Australia (157) and the UK (122), and from Cloudbeds', led by the US. Mews started in Prague but is now headquartered in Amsterdam, and Czechia isn't in our top 15.
Share of the 1,295 Mews domains we matched to a company record — 81.7% of the 1,585 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Mews Market Share Among Booking & Reservations
What is Mews's market share? 2.15% of Booking & Reservations, 12th in the table, based on our live crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The category mixes restaurant bookings, food ordering, vacation rentals and hotel systems, so the rank says little about hotels. Among the hotel booking engines and property systems in it, Mews trails Cloudbeds (4,258 domains) and sits a little ahead of Mirai (1,515) and well ahead of TravelLine (1,200) and SiteMinder (1,094).
Top Competitors by Market Share
Mews Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Mews? Mostly small ones, though less tiny than Cloudbeds' customers. 43.58% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff and 40.84% have 11 to 50, so 84.42% have 50 or fewer. The 51 to 200 band is 12.76%, against 5.38% on the Cloudbeds profile. Only 33 companies have more than 200 staff; WestCord Hotels and Generator are two of them.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (31.65%), but the 2020s are close behind at 27.06%, 171 companies, above the 24.24% on Cloudbeds' profile. Older properties are there too. 67 companies (10.6%) date from before 1960, among them Figi in Zeist (1850), The Lord Elgin in Ottawa (1941) and Amsterdam's Ambassade Hotel (1953).
What Industries Use Mews the Most?
Hospitality is 74.79% of matched companies and Hotels and Motels adds 5.52%, so about four in five are accommodation businesses by LinkedIn's labels. Restaurants are 4.67% (55 companies), Real Estate 2.38% and Travel Arrangements 2.12%, based on our enriched company data. On this list Real Estate mostly means operators that rent rooms by the night or the month, such as Habyt and Apartostudent.
Hostel brands using Mews include Generator, Vienna-based Wombat's, Ostello Bello in Italy and Leevin in Dublin. Co-living and student-housing companies on Mews include Habyt, Student Experience and Apartostudent. Wineries and restaurants using Mews are a small group, such as Craggy Range in Hawke's Bay and JNcQUOI in Lisbon, based on our enriched company data.
Mews Alternatives & Competitors
Only one row in this table is a like-for-like rival. Cloudbeds (5.78%, 4,258 domains) is hotel software whose booking engine sits on the hotel's own site, as Mews's does. SiteMinder (1.48%) is a channel manager with a booking engine on its Plus plan, Revinate (1.43%) is matched on a guest sign-up form, and Lodgify (6.29%) builds vacation-rental sites. No overlap passes our switching tests: 27 Mews domains run Revinate today (29 ever both), 19 Cloudbeds (28) and 13 SiteMinder (16).

Expert Analysis: Mews Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I pulled Mews out of our October 2026 crawl expecting the American cloud-hotel pattern I know from Cloudbeds. The map came back European. Our crawl counts 1,585 live domains running the Mews booking engine, 1,295 of them matched to a company, and the Netherlands alone holds 289 of those. To check what the number means, I had the homepage of every one of the 1,601 domains on our list fetched in mid-October and read the code on each.
What the count is made of
A domain counts when its pages load the Mews booking engine, create its Mews object, or link out to a booking page on mews.li. On the re-check, 1,389 domains loaded the booking script and 21 (1.31%) only carried the mews.li link, in 19 cases the property's own booking button. 26 linked to a Mews booking page without the script in the page source. Twelve belong to Mews itself or to companies it bought, such as atomize.com and hs3-hotelsoftware.de, which now open Mews pages; Mews lists both acquisitions. 77 showed no Mews code by October and 76 didn't load. Of the 1,525 pages that loaded, 91.08% ran the script.
The bigger gap runs the other way. Mews says on its pricing page that more than 15,000 hoteliers use it, and a property that runs the software behind the desk but sells rooms through someone else's engine is invisible to us.
Sales signal: this is the list of Mews hotels that sell direct through Mews. They've bought more than the property system, so they're a warmer list than Mews's base as a whole.
Steady readings
The chart reads 1,317 domains in June, 1,449 in July, 1,485 in August, 1,565 in September and 1,585 in October. Don't read the 132-domain step from June to July as a wave of new hotels. The domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen over time, so the series is a trend line rather than a same-domain comparison. Since we began tracking Mews on 16 March 2026, 138 domains dropped it from at least one hostname. 15 still run it on another, so 123 left entirely, closed sites included.
"On hotel websites, Mews looks like a Dutch and Belgian business first and an American one fourth. If you're selling into its customers, start in Amsterdam, not New York." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: 123 full exits in seven months on a list of about 1,600 is a slow trickle. Plan for depth in a stable pool.
Who the customers are
84.42% of matched companies with a known size have 50 or fewer staff: 43.58% have 1 to 10 and 40.84% have 11 to 50. That's small, but less tiny than Cloudbeds, whose profile puts 63.93% at 1 to 10. The 51 to 200 band is 12.76% here against 5.38% there. Age stands out as well. 27.06% were founded in the 2020s, 171 companies, close behind the 2010s at 31.65%. Classic hotels sit beside newer formats: co-living from Habyt, apartment hotels from The July, student housing from Apartostudent, and hostel brands such as Generator and Wombat's.
Sales signal: the 11 to 200 staff band is operators, not owner-managers. Hostel groups and apartment-hotel brands run several sites and buy software for all of them.
A European map
The Netherlands (289), Germany (141) and France (133) lead, with the United States fourth at 126 and the United Kingdom fifth at 87. Belgium (79) and Switzerland (63) follow. Benelux alone is 368 companies, 28.42% of everything we matched, and the twelve European countries in our top 15 add up to 977 of the 1,295. Compare SiteMinder, whose profile is led by Australia (157) and the United Kingdom (122), or Cloudbeds, led by the United States (994) and Mexico (216). Mews was born in Prague, according to its about page, and is now headquartered in Amsterdam; Czechia isn't in our top 15.
Sales signal: for anything sold alongside Mews, Dutch, Belgian and German hotels are the densest list. In the US, 126 matched companies is a short, specific target list.
Groups and alias domains
Hotel groups give each hotel its own domain, so one buyer can fill ten rows. The Mews booking code carries a configuration id. 804 domains showed one, and they resolve to 657 separate booking setups. The biggest clusters are Les Hôtels de Paris (10 domains), C-Hotels in Belgium (9) and Bühlmann Hotels in Denmark (7). WestCord Hotels runs ss Rotterdam, Hotel New York and Hotel Jakarta on separate sites. Other clusters are one property on many domains: Maverick Lodges in Budapest on 6 language domains, Best Western Plus TEN Hotel near Stockholm on 5, and seven Edyn, Locke, SACO and Cove domains that open one site. No cluster is bigger than 10 domains, 0.62% of the list.
Sales signal: roll the list up by booking setup before you count accounts. A group like Les Hôtels de Paris or Bühlmann is one sale with several sites.
What runs beside it
No pair in our data passes the switching tests, so these are overlaps, not moves. Zenchef runs on 28 Mews domains today (34 ever both), Revinate on 27 (29), Cloudbeds on 19 (28), Formitable on 13 (23) and SiteMinder on 13 (16). Zenchef and Formitable (now part of Zenchef) take restaurant bookings, which fits hotels that sell tables beside rooms. Revinate is matched on a guest sign-up form, so 27 shared domains reads as a CRM layered on top of Mews. That surprised me less than the geography did.
"27 of the 29 sites ever seen running Revinate next to Mews still run both. The tools around Mews are add-ons, and the add-on budget is where the opening is." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a Mews hotel with a restaurant tool or a guest CRM already on its site has money for add-ons. Lead with an integration story; Zenchef's list is the obvious place to look for hotel restaurants.
The stack around it
Across the 1,601 domains on our October list, Google Analytics runs on 75.83% and WordPress on 48.34%, with Elementor on 17.99%. Webflow (6.25%) and TYPO3 (3.12%) make up a smaller tail. Consent banners are common: Cookie Control on 12.62%, Cookiebot on 12.43%, CookieYes on 8.31%, Complianz on 6.06% and CookieFirst on 5.18%. Hotel marketing tags complete it: The Hotels Network on 6.93% and Sojern on 2.87%.
Sales signal: the typical Mews website is a WordPress build by an agency, with a consent manager and a hotel marketing tag. Agencies that build hotel sites in the Netherlands and Germany are a channel into these accounts.
What it costs
Mews doesn't publish a price. Its pricing page lists Mews Pro, Mews Core and an Enterprise tier, priced per room on a quote, with payment processing charged separately. The booking engine sits in Pro next to revenue management, a channel manager and guest messaging, and Mews says it connects to more than 1,000 marketplace integrations through an open API.
Sales signal: per-room, quote-only pricing means each contract is negotiated, and a group adding hotels reopens it. That's the moment to sell, for Mews and for the tools that plug into it.
Key takeaways
1. 1,585 live domains, 12th in Booking & Reservations with 2.15%, and well below Mews's own base, since hotels that only run the property system leave no trace.
2. 1,389 of the 1,601 domains we re-checked load the booking script; only 21 rely on a link.
3. A European base: the Netherlands leads with 289 matched companies and Benelux is 28.42%.
4. Groups matter: 804 domains with a booking id roll up to 657 setups, none larger than 10 domains.
5. Add-ons, not rivals: Revinate, Zenchef and Formitable run beside Mews rather than replacing it.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Mews?
Mostly independent hotels, hostels and serviced-apartment operators in Europe. Our October 2026 crawl finds the Mews booking engine on 1,585 live domains, with the Netherlands, Germany and France leading. 84.42% of matched companies have 50 or fewer staff. Named users include Generator, WestCord Hotels, Freehand Hotels, Wombat's, The Bulldog in Amsterdam, Gravity Haus in Colorado and Habyt.
How many customers does Mews have?
Mews says more than 15,000 hoteliers use it. Our October 2026 crawl finds its booking engine on 1,585 live domains, 1,295 of them matched to a company. That's a floor: a hotel that runs Mews as its property system but takes bookings through another engine leaves no trace on its website. Since March 2026, 138 domains have dropped Mews from at least one hostname.
What is Mews's market share?
Mews holds 2.15% of Booking & Reservations and ranks 12th, on 1,585 live domains in our October 2026 crawl. The category mixes restaurant bookings, food ordering, vacation rentals and hotel systems, so the rank says little about hotels. Among hotel systems it trails Cloudbeds, whose own profile counts 4,258 domains, and sits a little ahead of Mirai (1,515) and well ahead of SiteMinder (1,094).
What are the best alternatives to Mews?
For hotel software with its own booking engine on the hotel's site, Cloudbeds is the closest match and the most detected hotel system in our Booking & Reservations table. SiteMinder is a channel manager whose booking engine comes with its Plus plan. The other two rows in Mews's competitor table do different jobs: Revinate is matched on a guest sign-up form, and Lodgify builds vacation-rental websites.
Which countries use Mews the most?
The Netherlands, with 289 of the 1,295 companies we matched, then Germany (141), France (133), the United States (126) and the United Kingdom (87). Belgium (79) and Switzerland (63) come next, and Benelux alone is 28.42% of matched companies. That's a different map from SiteMinder's profile, led by Australia and the UK, and from Cloudbeds', led by the United States.
What size companies use Mews?
