Companies Using ClickGUARD
Our October 2026 crawl finds ClickGUARD on 1,471 live domains. ClickGUARD protects pay-per-click budgets: its script watches the visitors that Google, Microsoft and Meta ads send to a site, and the service blocks the sources of fake or wasted clicks. It doesn't touch payments or checkout fraud. Below is the list of companies that use ClickGUARD, with size, country, industry and stack. Named users include the University of Utah's admissions site, Nearmap, Rithum, Winn Solicitors and Watchfire Signs.
The buyers are small advertisers. 78.02% of matched companies with a known size have 50 or fewer staff, and construction (6.81%) is the largest industry. ClickGUARD ranks 15th of the 32 tools in Fraud Prevention with 0.97%, in a category that mixes click-fraud tools like this one with checkout-fraud vendors. Its direct rival, ClickCease, is about 22 times bigger at 33,001 domains.
The count is cleaned. We removed 220 domains where one account covers many sites that aren't separate buyers: a Melbourne funeral business's suburb microsites, HAR.com's agent websites and artists' old domains that now redirect to ArtSpan. How We Counted, at the bottom of this page, gives the detail.

ClickGUARD Usage Statistics
ClickGUARD runs on 1,471 live domains in our October 2026 crawl, after the cleaning described in How We Counted. The chart shows that one reading because the cleaned count starts here: earlier monthly totals included the removed fleets, and they also moved with our crawl, whose domain set turns over every month while our detection signals widen. Since we began tracking removals on 16 March 2026, 240 domains have dropped it on at least one hostname, and 37 of those still run it on another.

Which Countries Use ClickGUARD the Most?
Which countries use ClickGUARD the most? The United States, with 423 of the 858 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (74), Australia (53) and Canada (43). Germany (29), the United Arab Emirates (23) and India (22) come next. The four English-speaking leaders hold 593 of the 858, which fits a tool aimed first at Google search ads. These counts cover the domains we could match to a company.
Share of the 858 ClickGUARD domains we matched to a company record — 58.3% of the 1,471 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
ClickGUARD Market Share Among Fraud Prevention
What is ClickGUARD's market share? 0.97% of Fraud Prevention, 15th of the 32 technologies we track there, on 1,471 domains in our October 2026 crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The share is diluted by the category's checkout-fraud tools, such as Forter (21,652 domains), which do a different job. Among click-fraud tools an advertiser pays for, ClickCease leads with 33,001 domains, then Fraud Blocker (5,113) and Blocky (2,506). Spider AF (1,550) sits 79 domains above ClickGUARD.
Top Competitors by Market Share
ClickGUARD Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use ClickGUARD? Mostly small ones. 42.59% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 35.43% have 11 to 50, so 78.02% have 50 or fewer staff. Only 60 have more than 200, among them Rithum, Nearmap, Winn Solicitors and Eastridge, the San Diego staffing firm. At that size the buyer is often whoever runs the Google Ads account.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (39.42%), then the 2000s (21.75%) and the 2020s (15.92%). Older names are rarer but real: the University of Utah dates from 1850, Watchfire Signs from 1932 and Eastridge from 1972. Pay-per-click budgets, not company age, decide who needs click-fraud protection.
What Industries Use ClickGUARD the Most?
Construction leads at 6.81%, then IT Services and IT Consulting (5.76%), Software Development (4.84%) and Real Estate (3.66%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 7%. What the buyers share is an expensive search click: builders, clinics, software firms and law firms pay a lot for each lead, so a few fake clicks a day add up.
Home builders using ClickGUARD include HHHunt Homes in Virginia, which loads the same account as several other builders, a sign of one agency running their ads. Law firms on ClickGUARD include Winn Solicitors in Newcastle and Modern Family Law. Universities using ClickGUARD include the University of Utah, on its admissions site and its Eccles School of Business domains.
ClickGUARD Alternatives & Competitors
This table keeps to tools that fight ad fraud; Fraud Prevention also counts checkout-fraud vendors such as Forter, Sift and Signifyd, which a ClickGUARD buyer isn't choosing between. ClickCease (33,001 domains, 21.86%) is the direct rival, and the two get stacked more than swapped: 100 domains run both today, of the 117 ever seen with both. Fraud Blocker (5,113) is the next PPC tool. Spider AF (1,550) and Anura (745) sell wider ad-fraud and lead-fraud checks.
| Technology | Domains | Market Share |
|---|---|---|
| 33,001 | 21.86% | |
| 5,113 | 3.39% | |
Spider AF | 1,550 | 1.03% |

How We Counted ClickGUARD Customers
A domain counts here if a page on it loads ClickGUARD's tracking script, from io.clickguard.com (the older address) or pulse.clickguard.com. Both still work: on 48 random domains from the cleaned set, 32 loaded the script and 24 of those also sent its tracking call before we closed the page; 4 rendered without it, and 12 wouldn't load for us at all. The script address carries an account id, which is how we found the fleets below.
Our crawl matched the rule on 1,693 live domains. Two carried for-sale or gambling page titles and were removed. We then removed 220 more, in three groups, because one account covers each group and the sites aren't separate buyers:
- 123 microsites of Harris Family Funerals, a division of Bell Funeral Services, each named after a Melbourne suburb. They count once, as harrisfamilyfunerals.com.au.
- 51 artists' domains that now redirect to artspan.com and load ArtSpan's account. artspan.com itself stays in.
- 46 Houston-area agents' websites built on HAR.com that load HAR.com's account. har.com itself stays in.
That leaves 1,471 domains, and every chart and table on this page uses them; the competitor rows and the category total are the published figures. One shared account stays in, with a note: it loads on Sapper Consulting's 14 domains and on 16 other businesses' sites, which looks like an agency running ClickGUARD for clients who are real advertisers. Across the 1,471, 1,237 domains show a readable account id, and they belong to 704 accounts, about 1.76 domains each.
Expert Analysis: ClickGUARD Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I build the crawlers behind these numbers, so I started ClickGUARD where I start every script-based profile: by checking that the script does something. A domain counts here when a page loads ClickGUARD's tracking script from io.clickguard.com, the older address, or pulse.clickguard.com, the newer one. I opened 48 random live domains from the cleaned October 2026 set in a browser. 36 rendered for us, and 32 of those 36 loaded ClickGUARD; 24 also sent its tracking call before we closed the page. That's a working signal. After the cleaning described below, it gives 1,471 live domains, 15th of 32 in Fraud Prevention.
Accounts behind the domains
ClickGUARD writes an account id into its script address, which lets me count buyers instead of hostnames. That census is also why this count is lower than our first pass. Three accounts each covered dozens of sites that aren't separate buyers, and we took them out: 123 suburb microsites of Harris Family Funerals in Melbourne, which now count once; 51 artists' domains that redirect to ArtSpan and load its account; and 46 agent websites built on HAR.com, Houston's realtor portal, under HAR.com's account. In what remains, 1,237 domains show a readable id, spread over 704 accounts, about 1.76 domains each. 504 accounts sit on a single domain. 39 cover five or more and 346 domains between them, led by an account on Sapper Consulting's 14 domains plus 16 other businesses, and one on 29 Mumbai property-project microsites.
Sales signal: treat a ClickGUARD list as roughly 700 buying decisions. Group by account before you count, and expect agencies behind the multi-domain clusters. An agency that already pays for click-fraud protection on 16 client sites is one conversation, not 16.
Reading the trend
The usage chart shows a single point, October 2026, because the cleaned count starts there. Our earlier monthly totals included the removed fleets, and they also moved with our crawl: the set of domains we cover turns over every month as dead sites leave and new ones arrive, and the signals we detect ClickGUARD with have widened. So I won't call any of it growth. The base does move in both directions, though. 240 domains dropped ClickGUARD on at least one hostname since we began tracking removals on 16 March 2026, and 37 of those still run it on another hostname.
"A click-fraud script only earns its fee while the ads are running, so I'd expect churn on this list to follow small advertisers' ad budgets as much as their opinion of the tool." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a domain that recently dropped ClickGUARD may have paused its campaigns. Check for live ad tags before you pitch a rival tool; if the ads are off, the timing is wrong.
Who buys it
42.59% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 35.43% have 11 to 50, so 78.02% have 50 or fewer staff. That's a little more mid-sized than ClickCease, whose profile puts 83.21% at 50 or under. Only 60 companies have more than 200 staff. The named ones run it on a main or marketing site: Rithum on rithum.com, Nearmap on nearmap.com, Winn Solicitors on its home page, Eastridge on eastridge.com. The University of Utah loads it on admissions.utah.edu and on several Eccles School of Business domains, all under one account. Founding years skew recent, with 39.42% in the 2010s.
Sales signal: the buyer is the person who owns the ad account, often a founder or a one-person marketing team, or the agency behind them. Pitch on cost per lead; enterprise security language won't land.
Which trades and countries
Construction leads at 6.81%, then IT services (5.76%), software (4.84%) and real estate (3.66%). No industry passes 7%, so the pattern is the price of a click rather than a sector. Builders, clinics, software firms and law firms all buy search terms where a single lead is worth a lot. The United States has 423 of the 858 matched companies, the United Kingdom 74, Australia 53 and Canada 43, so the four English-speaking leaders hold 593 of the 858.
Sales signal: for anything sold to PPC-heavy businesses, such as call tracking, landing-page tools or lead verification, ClickGUARD sites in construction, software and legal are pre-qualified: they already spend enough on ads to protect them.
Next to ClickCease
ClickCease is the direct rival and it's far bigger: 33,001 domains in the same crawl, about 22 times ClickGUARD's count. We have no switching flow to report between them, because they're stacked more than swapped. 100 domains run both scripts today, out of 117 ever seen with both. From the tags alone I can't tell a side-by-side trial from a second script left behind after a switch.
"Most of the sites that have ever carried both click-fraud scripts still carry both. That reads to me like advertisers testing one against the other, not a market moving from one vendor to the next." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: the 100 dual-tag domains are the most interesting rows on either list. They're paying, or trialling, twice for one job, and the vendor that proves more blocked spend in a month probably keeps the account.
The stack around it
Of the 1,471 domains behind our charts, Google Analytics runs on 92.79%, DoubleClick Floodlight on 49.56%, the Facebook Pixel on 49.15% and Microsoft Advertising on 24.61%. WordPress carries 45.75% and Elementor 17.95%; Shopify is on 8.84%. These are lead-generation sites. reCAPTCHA (21.55%) and Cloudflare's bot management (14.75%) also show up, so a share of these owners already worry about bots on their forms, not only on their ads.
Sales signal: pitch WordPress lead-gen agencies and form-fraud tools here before ecommerce apps. Microsoft Advertising on about one site in four is a useful filter for advertisers spending beyond Google.
What it costs
ClickGUARD's pricing page, read on 15 October 2026, scales with monthly ad spend. Lite starts at $74 a month for one website and up to $5,000 of spend, Standard at $119 for three websites and up to $50,000, and Pro at $159 for unlimited websites and up to $100,000. Quarterly billing saves 10% and yearly 20%. Its about page dates the launch to 2016 and claims more than 3,135 companies secured.
Sales signal: pricing tied to ad spend means a growing advertiser hits the next tier quickly. An advertiser crossing the $5,000 or $50,000 line has a reason to review the tool, which makes that a good moment to call.
Key takeaways
1. 1,471 live domains after cleaning, and about 700 accounts behind the 1,237 domains we can attribute.
2. A small-advertiser base: 78.02% of matched companies have 50 or fewer staff.
3. Construction leads, and the common factor is the price of a click.
4. ClickCease is 22 times larger, and 100 domains run both.
5. 220 domains were removed because three accounts covered them, from a funeral business's microsites to HAR.com's agent sites.

What does ClickGUARD do?
It protects pay-per-click ad budgets. A script on your site records each visit from an ad, and ClickGUARD scores the click for signs of bots, competitors or low-quality traffic, then excludes those sources from your Google, Microsoft or Meta campaigns. In our crawl the script loads from io.clickguard.com on older installs and pulse.clickguard.com on newer ones.
Is ClickGUARD a payment fraud tool?
No. ClickGUARD deals with ad clicks, not orders or card payments. It sits in our Fraud Prevention category beside checkout tools such as Forter and Signifyd, which is why its 0.97% category share looks small. Few of its sites take payments at all: Shopify runs on 8.84% of live ClickGUARD domains and WooCommerce on 5.91%.
ClickGUARD vs ClickCease: which is better?
They do the same job, so the choice comes down to price, platforms and reporting. ClickCease is far larger in our data, 33,001 domains to 1,471. Many advertisers try both: 100 domains run the two scripts today, of 117 ever seen with both. ClickGUARD's Lite plan starts at $74 a month; ClickCease's Starter lists at $99.
Does ClickGUARD work with Meta and Microsoft Ads?
Yes. ClickGUARD's homepage says it protects campaigns on Google Ads, Microsoft Ads and Meta Ads, and its about page dates Microsoft Ads support to 2024. The sites we find it on fit that: the Facebook Pixel runs on 49.15% of live ClickGUARD domains and Microsoft Advertising's tag on 24.61%, next to Google Analytics on 92.79%.
How do I stop fake clicks in Google Ads?
Google says you aren't charged for clicks its systems judge invalid, and it credits ones it catches later. Tools like ClickGUARD go further: their script records ad visits, flags repeat clickers, bots and suspicious networks, and adds them to your campaign exclusions. That pays off where clicks are expensive, as for the builders, clinics and law firms in our data.
Is ClickGUARD worth it?
It depends on what a click costs you. Lite starts at $74 a month for up to $5,000 of ad spend, so it pays off if it blocks more than $74 a month in wasted clicks. Its buyers suggest where that happens: construction (6.81%) leads our industry data, and 78.02% of matched companies have 50 or fewer staff.
