Companies Using eNamad
eNamad is the e-commerce trust seal Iran's government gives online businesses, and an Iranian shop can't get an internet payment gateway without it. Our October 2026 crawl finds the seal, or the meta tag eNamad uses to verify site ownership, on 26,579 domains. Below is the list of companies that use eNamad, with size, industry and stack. It includes Digikala, Divar, Cafe Bazaar, Snapp's bus-ticket site and Irancell's business site, plus payment firms such as Saman Electronic Payment and Irankish, which sell the gateways the seal unlocks.
eNamad is a licence badge from the Center for e-Commerce Development, part of the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. It links to the holder's public record and scans nothing. We file it under Security Testing & Compliance, where it ranks 2nd of 17 with a 20.76% share, though the tools beside it there do other jobs. The holders are small and Iranian: 43.17% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff, and 6,067 of the 8,084 matched companies are based in Iran.

eNamad Usage Statistics
Our records show eNamad on 6,075 domains in June 2026, 20,404 in July, 22,697 in August, 24,330 in September and 26,579 in October. Don't read that as a rush of new seals. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widened over the same months, so the June to July step is our coverage of Iranian sites filling in. What the data does show is persistence: 95.64% of live eNamad domains were detected again in the 45 days before our October data date.

Which Countries Use eNamad the Most?
Which countries use eNamad the most? Iran, by a distance: 6,067 of the 8,084 matched companies are based there. The United States follows with 66, then the United Arab Emirates (42), Canada (35), India (23) and the United Kingdom (19). Treat the small foreign counts with care, since a company's LinkedIn location can be wrong; two Iranian universities in our company data are filed under Spain. Matching is thin, too. Only 8,084 of the 26,579 domains link to a company page we could enrich.
Share of the 8,084 eNamad domains we matched to a company record — 30.4% of the 26,579 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
eNamad Market Share Among Security Testing & Compliance
What is eNamad's market share? 20.76% of Security Testing & Compliance, 2nd of the 17 tools we track there at TechnologyChecker.io. The share compares unlike things. KnowBe4 leads with 49.18%, but its count is a DNS record a company adds to verify its domain for security-awareness training, and Have I Been Pwned (14.38%) and Detectify (4.09%) are DNS verifications too. eNamad and RapidScan Secure SiteSeal (0.85%) are the only two in this table a shopper can see on the page.
Top Competitors by Market Share
eNamad Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use eNamad? Mostly small ones. 43.17% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 33.79% have 11 to 50, so 76.96% have 50 staff or fewer. The top of the list looks different. 173 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including Digikala, Irancell, Hamrahe Aval (MCI) and a long run of Iranian universities, based on our analysis of 8,084 enriched companies.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (46.42%), then the 2020s (23.02%) and the 2000s (18.28%). Some Iranian LinkedIn pages give their founding year in the Iranian calendar, 1399 rather than 2020, and 177 companies with years like that aren't in the chart, so it probably understates the younger decades. Older names on the list include Monenco Iran Consulting Engineers (1973) and Iran University of Medical Sciences (1974).
What Industries Use eNamad the Most?
IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 5.11%, then Software Development (4.94%), Technology, Information and Internet (4.43%) and Retail (4.41%), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 5.2%. That spread fits a licence that any Iranian business selling online needs, whatever it sells: Financial Services (3.28%), Education (2.70%) and appliance and electronics makers (2.35%) all make the top ten.
Universities using eNamad make up 18 of the 50 named rows: the University of Isfahan, Yazd University, the University of Tabriz and Iran University of Medical Sciences all show the seal. Payment companies using eNamad include Saman Electronic Payment, Parsian E-Commerce and Irankish, the kind of provider that has to check a merchant's eNamad before issuing a gateway. Retail brands on eNamad run from Digikala to Mashad Leather.
eNamad Alternatives & Competitors
None of the tools in our market share table is an alternative to eNamad. KnowBe4 (62,974 domains, 49.18%) and Have I Been Pwned (18,411, 14.38%) count DNS records that verify a domain with the vendor, and so does Detectify (5,234, 4.09%). RapidScan Secure SiteSeal (1,086, 0.85%) is a visible seal, but it reports a merchant's PCI compliance filing through its card processor, not a government licence. For an Iranian shop that wants a payment gateway, there is no substitute.

Tech Stack of eNamad-Powered Websites
Across live eNamad domains, WordPress runs on 59.37% and Elementor on 44.36%, so the typical holder is a WordPress site built with a page builder. The Portal (1.72%) and WebZi (0.65%) site builders show up as well. ArvanCloud (9.59%) is more common than Cloudflare (7.17%), and Sotoon adds 1.17%. Expert Analysis: eNamad Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I pulled eNamad from our October 2026 crawl expecting a security product, because that's where our category tree puts it. It isn't one. eNamad is the trust seal Iran's government issues to online businesses, and the count shows which sites hold the licence a shop needs before it can take card payments online. A domain counts when a page links to or loads an image from a *.enamad.ir address, uses eNamad's widget, or carries the meta tag eNamad uses to check domain ownership. That gives 26,579 domains in October, 8,084 of them matched to a company.
A payment licence in a security category
The seal comes from the Center for e-Commerce Development under the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. Zarinpal's guide says Central Bank and Shaparak rules don't allow an internet payment gateway without it, and Persian Wikipedia says payment providers have to check it before issuing one. So the seal sits in front of the payment step. It doesn't test a site's security. In our table it ranks 2nd of 17 in Security Testing & Compliance with 20.76%, behind KnowBe4's DNS verification records, and the ranking says more about the category than about eNamad.
Sales signal: a domain showing the seal belongs to a business that passed identity, phone and address checks and qualifies for a payment gateway. For Iranian payment, logistics or hosting firms, that's a qualified list. Sellers outside Iran should check what sanctions rules allow before contacting anyone on it.
What the count measures
I reopened a random sample of 200 domains. 186 loaded from outside Iran, and 160 of those 186 showed a seal link to trustseal.enamad.ir. Eleven carried only the ownership meta tag, which eNamad offers next to an email code or an uploaded file (a guide from Tashilgostar shows the format). The other 15 showed no seal link or ownership tag in their raw HTML, some of them JavaScript-built pages. Seal ids are per business, so I read them too: 234 ids on 233 domains, counting the top companies, and no id sat on two unrelated sites.
Checking each seal against eNamad itself was harder. The record pages on trustseal.enamad.ir didn't answer from outside Iran. So I compared ids with a public copy of eNamad's register from June 2026. 47 of the 160 sampled seals match that domain's entry, all valid into 2027 or later, and 3 more match the same business on a sister domain. The other 110 aren't in the copy, which is incomplete: Cafe Bazaar and Saman Electronic Payment show seals but are missing from it.
"Our category tree files eNamad next to vulnerability scanners. The count is a list of Iranian sites that passed a government identity check and are allowed a payment gateway." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: treat this as a list of seal holders, not of verified-current licences. About one domain in 17 in our sample carried only the ownership tag.
The rise is on our side
The chart reads 6,075 in June, 20,404 in July, 22,697 in August, 24,330 in September and 26,579 in October. Most of that rise is on our side. The domains we crawl turn over every month, with dead sites leaving and new ones arriving, and our detection widened while our coverage of Iranian hosts filled in. The steadier fact is persistence: 95.64% of live domains were detected again in the 45 days before our data date.
Sales signal: size Iran's seal-holding online sellers at roughly 26,000 domains in our crawl. Don't pitch it as a fast-growing segment on this chart.
Small companies, big names on top
43.17% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff and 33.79% have 11 to 50. The 2010s account for 46.42% of known founding years and the 2020s for 23.02%. The top of the named list reads like a map of Iran's consumer internet: Digikala, Divar, Cafe Bazaar, Tapsi, Snapp and Faradars. Telecoms show the seal on business sites (Irancell, Hamrahe Aval), and universities such as Isfahan, Yazd and Tabriz carry it too. Payment providers display it as well, among them Saman Electronic Payment, Parsian E-Commerce and Irankish.
Sales signal: the enterprise rows are few, 173 companies above 1,000 staff, but the named ones are the gateways, telcos and platforms small merchants depend on. Partnerships start there.
Almost entirely Iran
6,067 of the 8,084 matched companies are based in Iran. The United States has 66 and the United Arab Emirates 42, and some foreign rows are LinkedIn location errors. Industry is flat: IT services lead at 5.11%, retail is 4.41%, financial services 3.28% and education 2.70%. No sector dominates, which fits a licence that every Iranian business taking payments online needs.
Sales signal: segment by industry, not country. Education and e-learning (1.92%) and travel (1.65%) are distinct pockets inside a single national market.
Drops and dead sites
Since March 2026, 2,495 domains have dropped eNamad, and 223 of them still show it on another hostname. I also tested the 1,188 live domains we hadn't detected again in 45 days. 313 no longer resolve, 92 return a suspended or missing-page code, and 129 load without the seal. That's 534 domains, 1.96% of the live list, still counted until our crawl reaches them again. Another 287 timed out or refused us, which can mean a dead site or one that blocks foreign visitors, and 367 still show the seal.
"When an Iranian shop drops eNamad, it isn't moving to a rival seal. No other badge gets it a payment gateway." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: refresh this list before outreach. About 2% of rows are dead or have removed the seal.
The stack around it
WordPress runs on 59.37% of live eNamad domains and Elementor on 44.36%. Logo Manager For Enamad, a WordPress plugin for placing the seal, lists 5,000+ active installations. ArvanCloud (9.59%) beats Cloudflare (7.17%), Google Analytics is on 32.93%, and consent tools are close to zero (Complianz 0.05%). The two-star seal needs a valid SSL certificate, which our HTTPS adoption analysis tracks across the wider web. Samandehi, a separate registration badge, appeared on 41 of the 186 sampled pages that loaded.
Sales signal: WordPress agencies, hosting firms and CDNs selling inside Iran will find their buyers here.
What it costs
Zarinpal's June 2026 guide puts the issuing fee at about 175,000 toman plus about 20,000 toman for the postal address check. For a shop, the alternative is no payment gateway at all.
Sales signal: price won't be the objection.
Key takeaways
1. 26,579 domains show eNamad in October 2026, a licence count rather than a security-tool count.
2. 160 of 186 sampled pages showed a seal link; no seal id was shared by unrelated sites.
3. 6,067 of 8,084 matched companies are Iranian, and 76.96% have 50 staff or fewer.
4. About 1.96% of live domains are dead or have removed the seal.
How to use this list

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses eNamad?
Iranian businesses that sell online, almost all of them small. Our October 2026 crawl finds eNamad on 26,579 domains, and 6,067 of the 8,084 matched companies are based in Iran. 43.17% have 1 to 10 staff. Named holders include Digikala, Divar, Cafe Bazaar, Tapsi, Snapp's bus-ticket site, Irancell's business site and universities such as Isfahan and Yazd.
How many customers does eNamad have?
Our October 2026 crawl finds the eNamad seal or ownership tag on 26,579 domains, and 8,084 of them match a company we could enrich. In a random sample of 200 domains, 160 showed a seal link when we reopened them. Since March 2026, 2,495 domains have dropped it, and about 220 of those still show it on another hostname.
What is eNamad's market share?
20.76% of Security Testing & Compliance on TechnologyChecker.io, 2nd of the 17 tools we track there, with 26,579 domains. KnowBe4 leads at 49.18%. The comparison isn't like for like: KnowBe4, Have I Been Pwned and Detectify are counted from DNS verification records, while eNamad is a seal shown on the web page. It's Iran's e-commerce licence, not a security tool.
What are the best alternatives to eNamad?
For an Iranian online shop there isn't one. Zarinpal's guide says Central Bank and Shaparak rules don't allow an internet payment gateway without eNamad. Samandehi, a separate registration badge, appears next to it on 41 of the 186 pages we sampled, but doesn't replace it. Outside Iran, visible seals such as RapidScan Secure SiteSeal do a different job.
Which countries use eNamad the most?
Iran, overwhelmingly. 6,067 of the 8,084 matched companies are based there. The United States follows with 66, then the United Arab Emirates (42), Canada (35), India (23) and the United Kingdom (19). Some foreign rows are LinkedIn location errors: two Iranian universities in our company data are filed under Spain. Only 8,084 of the 26,579 domains matched a company.
What size companies use eNamad?
Mostly small ones. 43.17% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 33.79% have 11 to 50, so 76.96% have 50 staff or fewer. There's a real top end, though: 173 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including Digikala, Irancell, Hamrahe Aval (MCI) and several large public universities.
How old are companies that use eNamad?
Among matched companies with a known founding year, 46.42% were founded in the 2010s, 23.02% in the 2020s and 18.28% in the 2000s. Another 177 companies list a year in the Iranian calendar, such as 1399 for 2020, and aren't in those figures, so the younger decades are probably understated. Older holders include Monenco (1973) and Iran University of Medical Sciences (1974).
What is the ideal customer profile for eNamad?
The ideal eNamad customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (43.17%), then 11-50, Location: Iran (6,067 of 8,084 matched), Founded: 2010-2019 (46.42%), Industry: IT services, software, retail, finance, Website: WordPress site built with Elementor — based on our analysis of 8,084 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
What does eNamad mean?
eNamad is short for namad-e etemad-e electronic, Persian for electronic trust symbol. It's a badge, usually in a site's footer, that links to a public record of the business behind the website. Zarinpal's guide describes three levels: no star (temporary), one star and two stars. Our crawl finds it on 26,579 domains in October 2026.
Who issues eNamad?
The Center for e-Commerce Development, which sits under Iran's Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade. Persian Wikipedia says it is the only body that issues the seal. Applicants pass phone, postal-address and identity checks, and Zarinpal's guide says eNamad staff also test the site's checkout. The seal has to be renewed, so a badge on a page can outlive the record behind it.
Do you need eNamad to get a payment gateway in Iran?
Yes, if you sell goods or services online. Zarinpal's guide says Central Bank and Shaparak rules don't allow an internet payment gateway without eNamad, and Persian Wikipedia says payment providers must check a site's seal before issuing one. Sites that don't take payments aren't required to hold it. Payment firms such as Saman Electronic Payment show it themselves.
How much does eNamad cost?
Zarinpal's June 2026 guide puts the final issuing fee at about 175,000 toman, with about 20,000 toman more for the postal package that verifies your address. Persian Wikipedia says the fee varies with the type of seal and its star level. We haven't converted them to dollars: the toman's rate moves too much for a fixed figure to hold for long.
How can you check that an eNamad seal is real?
Click it. Zarinpal's guide says the seal opens a record on trustseal.enamad.ir showing the business's details, its vetting status and whether the seal is still valid. Check that the record matches the site you're on. We read the seal ids on 233 domains and none was shared by two unrelated sites. eNamad's record pages didn't load from outside Iran when we tried them in October 2026.
What is the difference between one-star and two-star eNamad?
According to Zarinpal's guide, a two-star seal needs everything a one-star seal does plus a valid SSL certificate on the site. Both come after the identity, phone and postal-address checks. Persian Wikipedia adds that three- to five-star levels exist and require management audits, so they're mostly held by large companies. The seal image doesn't change our count.
What is the eNamad meta tag?
It's one of the ways eNamad lets an applicant prove they own a domain when applying for or renewing a seal, alongside an email code or an uploaded file. The tag looks like meta name="enamad" with a numeric code. Our count includes it. In our random sample, 11 of 186 pages that loaded had the tag without a visible seal.
