Companies Using RapidScan Secure SiteSeal
Our October 2026 crawl finds RapidScan Secure SiteSeal on 1,086 live domains, after we set aside 705 whose seal no longer works. The name comes from the address the script loads from, rapidscansecure.com. The badge itself reads CompliAssure, and the record behind it belongs to Aperia Compliance, which runs PCI compliance programmes that card processors offer their merchants. A business usually gets the seal after filing its yearly PCI questionnaire through its processor, and some put it on their payment page. Below is the list of companies that use RapidScan Secure SiteSeal, with size, country and industry. It includes the Los Angeles law firm Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell on its payment portal, Midwest Petroleum Company and Canvas Health.
A seal script on a page doesn't prove a current record, so on 15 October 2026 we opened the record behind every seal code we could read. 703 led to a blank record and a broken seal image, and 2 more domains were suspended sites. Those 705 are out of every number here. On the cleaned count the seal ranks 9th of 17 in Security Testing & Compliance with 0.85%, and the category table uses the same cleaned count. 97.27% of matched companies with a known country are American, and 61.19% of those with a known size have 1 to 10 staff.

RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Usage Statistics
RapidScan Secure SiteSeal reads 1,086 domains in October 2026. That's the only point on the chart, because the lapsed-seal test behind this count was run once, on 15 October 2026; our earlier monthly totals counted every seal script, working or not. Of the 1,086, 1,006 lead to a live merchant record and 80 carry a seal code we couldn't read. Since we began tracking the seal on 4 August 2026, 139 domains dropped it on at least one hostname. 37 of them still carry it on another, so 102 have left entirely.

Which Countries Use RapidScan Secure SiteSeal the Most?
Which countries use RapidScan Secure SiteSeal the most? The United States, with 819 of the 842 matched companies that have a known country, or 97.27%. Ireland has 8, the United Kingdom 5 and Canada 5, and no other country has more than 1. Fridge Spares Wholesale in Dublin is one of the few non-American names, and its seal record was live when we checked. For anyone selling outside the US, this list is almost entirely an American one.
Share of the 848 RapidScan Secure SiteSeal domains we matched to a company record — 78.1% of the 1,086 we detect. Top 9 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Market Share Among Security Testing & Compliance
What is RapidScan Secure SiteSeal's market share? 0.85% of Security Testing & Compliance, 9th of the 17 tools we track there, on 1,086 domains, based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Our category table uses the same cleaned count. The category mixes different jobs: eNamad (26,579 domains) is a government trust seal and Have I Been Pwned (18,411) counts domains verified for breach alerts. SafeBase is 50 domains behind on 1,036, so the rank can change at the next refresh.
Top Competitors by Market Share
RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use RapidScan Secure SiteSeal? Small ones. 61.19% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 29.87% have 11 to 50, so 91.06% have 50 or fewer, out of 827 companies with a size on record. Only 1 has more than 1,000 staff. That fits the product: Aperia describes its programmes as PCI DSS Level 3 and 4 solutions, the tiers for smaller merchants, and all 842 live seal records we read in full list a self-assessment questionnaire, not an audit.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (26.51%), then the 2000s (19.95%). But 46.46% were founded before 2000, 9.19% before 1960, and only 7.09% in the 2020s, out of 381 companies with a founding year. Herring Gas and Midwest Petroleum Company both date from 1946. These are long-running local businesses that take cards and do the paperwork their processor asks for.
What Industries Use RapidScan Secure SiteSeal the Most?
Medical Practices leads at 7.46%, then Retail (6.9%), Construction (3.8%) and Consumer Services (3.24%), based on our enriched company data. The top ten add up to 35.63%, and they're businesses that take payment at a desk or over the phone: clinics, shops, builders, gyms (2.68%), accountants (2.54%) and hotels (1.97%). The seal records agree: 219 of the 842 live records we read in full were filed on SAQ C-VT, the questionnaire for merchants who key card numbers into a virtual terminal. Software companies, the usual buyers in this category, don't make the top ten.
Medical practices using RapidScan Secure SiteSeal include Breast Care Specialists in Atlanta and Ankle & Foot Associates in Tampa, and Canvas Health, a mental health provider, carries it too. Wholesalers on RapidScan Secure SiteSeal include Rhode Island Novelty, Yeager Supply and Fridge Spares Wholesale. Local governments using RapidScan Secure SiteSeal include the City of Spencer, Iowa, on its official website.
RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Alternatives & Competitors
The rivals in this table do other jobs. eNamad (20.76%) is Iran's government e-commerce trust seal, Have I Been Pwned (14.38%) counts domains verified for breach alerts, and SafeBase (0.81%) hosts trust centres for software companies. SecurityMetrics (0.58%, 749 domains) is the only like-for-like row: it also runs PCI programmes that acquiring banks offer their merchants. The real choice for a small merchant is rarely between seals. It's whichever programme the processor already uses, based on our market share data at TechnologyChecker.io.

How We Counted RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Customers
A domain counts here when a page on it loads a script from www.rapidscansecure.com. That script writes Aperia's CompliAssure seal into the page, using a code that names one merchant record. Our October 2026 crawl found the script on 1,793 live domains, and our for-sale and broken-page filter removed 2, leaving 1,791.
A script only shows that the code is on the page, so we tested the seal itself. We read the seal code for 1,709 domains, from our crawl's record of the script address or from a fresh fetch of the page, and opened the verification record for each one on 15 October 2026. 1,006 domains led to a live record naming the merchant. 703 led to a blank record, and on those sites the seal image no longer loads either, because the server returns a page instead of an image. 2 more domains were suspended sites. We removed those 705 domains, 41.20% of the 1,711 we could check, before computing anything. The 80 domains with no seal code we could read stay in, so the count is 1,086, and every chart and table on this page uses it.
Our Security Testing & Compliance category table uses this cleaned count too, so RapidScan Secure SiteSeal shows there at 1,086 domains and 0.85%, 9th of 17. The usage chart starts in October because the lapse test was run once; earlier monthly totals counted every seal script. We also checked whether one account or reseller covers many unrelated sites. It doesn't: each merchant has its own key, and the most domains sharing one key is 6. The company list holds only domains whose seal record was live when we checked.
Expert Analysis: RapidScan Secure SiteSeal Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

RapidScan Secure SiteSeal is the website badge of Aperia's PCI compliance programmes, and our October 2026 crawl counts it on 1,086 domains once lapsed seals are removed. A domain counts here when a page loads a script from www.rapidscansecure.com, and that script draws a badge reading CompliAssure SiteSeal. Click it and you get a record kept by Aperia: the merchant's name, its PCI status, the questionnaire it filed and the date it validated. 848 of the 1,086 domains match a company, and the seal ranks 9th of 17 in Security Testing & Compliance with 0.85%. Getting to that count meant removing 705 domains, and the reason is the most useful thing on this page.
A seal that comes with a card processor
Aperia Compliance doesn't sell to merchants directly. Its PCI Apply product is a white-labelled PCI programme for acquirers, ISOs, banks and payment platforms, and its home page claims more than 100 payment partners and 1.6 million merchants across their portfolios. Since a December 2024 merger, it has traded as Aperia Compliance, an IXOPAY company. A merchant meets it through its processor: Paya's support site, for example, sends its merchants to pciapply.com/paya.
The seal code shows the same structure. Each code is a number, a comma and a 40-character merchant key. Among the 1,006 live seals on this page there are 48 different leading numbers, and each one spans many unrelated merchants; the commonest covers 232 domains. I read that number as the partner programme. Each merchant still has its own key and its own record, so no single account covers other people's sites: the most domains sharing one key is 6, all carrying SynergenX's seal record. GoDaddy's DNS or mail sits on 341 of the 1,086 domains (31.40%), but before the cut those domains spread across 47 of the leading numbers and lapsed at the same rate as the rest, so GoDaddy isn't bundling the seal.
Sales signal: the buyer of the seal is the card processor, not the merchant. If you sell PCI tooling, the decision sits with the acquirer or ISO that runs the programme.
Four in ten seals had lapsed
Our crawl found the seal script on 1,791 live domains once 2 broken pages were filtered out. On 15 October 2026 I opened the verification record behind every code we could read. 1,006 domains led to a live merchant record. 703 led to a blank record, and on those sites the seal image no longer loads; 2 more were suspended sites. That's 41.20% of the 1,711 domains we could check, and all 705 are out of this page's numbers. The other 80 had no code we could read and stay in. The lapses cluster by programme: before the cut, 20 of 68 leading numbers had no live record left. Even live records age. Of 842 we read in full, 115 were last validated more than a year earlier, some in 2021, and still read Compliant.
"A seal script on a page tells you a business once validated PCI through its processor. Whether that record still exists is a separate question, and on four domains in ten the answer was no." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: a lapsed seal is a lead in its own right. A merchant whose record went blank either moved processor or stopped validating, and both are conversations for a compliance or payments seller.
The chart
The chart has one point, 1,086 domains in October 2026, because the lapse test was run once. Our earlier monthly totals counted every seal script, working or not, so they can't be compared with it. Since we started tracking the seal on 4 August, 139 domains dropped it on at least one hostname, but 37 still carry it on another, so 102 left entirely.
Sales signal: there's no adoption trend to sell into here. Size the market on live records, about a thousand domains.
Who files for it
61.19% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 staff and 29.87% have 11 to 50. Only 1 has more than 1,000. They're older than most web-tool customers: 46.46% were founded before 2000 and only 7.09% in the 2020s. The industries are the ones that take payment in person or by phone. Medical Practices leads at 7.46%, then Retail (6.9%), Construction (3.8%) and Consumer Services (3.24%). The seal records match. Of the 842 live records read in full, 228 were filed on SAQ A, for merchants who hand card handling to a third party, and 219 on SAQ C-VT, for merchants who key cards into a virtual terminal. The named users fit: Jeffer Mangels Butler & Mitchell runs it on its payment portal, SynergenX Health on its clinic site, the City of Spencer, Iowa on its town website.
Sales signal: these merchants pay a processor's PCI fee every year and rarely have IT staff. Payment-page hosting, managed WordPress and simple card-present upgrades are the pitches that fit.
What the seal says, and what it doesn't
The name suggests scanning, but the records show little of it. Of the 842 live records read in full, 661 (78.50%) show the quarterly ASV scan as Not Required, because the merchant's questionnaire doesn't call for one, and 180 show a compliant scan. Aperia's own disclaimer on each record says it makes no representation that the merchant's systems are secure. What the seal reports is paperwork filed through a processor.
"Nearly four in five live records say no scan was required. Read the seal as a receipt for PCI paperwork, filed through a card processor." - Mehmet Suleyman, CEO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: website security vendors have an opening here. These owners already put a security badge on their site, and 78.50% of the live records show no website scan under the programme.
Stack and neighbours
Across the 1,086 domains, Google Analytics runs on 73.39% and WordPress on 48.25%, with Elementor (11.97%) and Divi (5.16%) on top. Squarespace has 4.97%. The category table isn't like-for-like. eNamad is Iran's government trust seal, Have I Been Pwned counts verified domains and SafeBase hosts trust centres. SecurityMetrics, at 749 domains, is the only true rival, and its own page describes a PCI programme as a system acquirers use to track merchants. For a badge without the paperwork, TrustedSite's profile counts 93,953 live domains.
Sales signal: WordPress agencies and hosts serving US small businesses will find these sites familiar. The seal tells them the owner takes cards online.
What it costs
There's no public price. Paya's support page says its Aperia programme's annual cost is billed on the June statement and adds breach coverage of up to $50,000 per merchant ID. PracticeQ's says merchants who haven't validated keep paying a monthly non-compliance fee.
Sales signal: the non-compliance fee is the pain point. Merchants whose seals lapsed are likely paying it.
Key takeaways
1. 1,086 domains after 705 lapsed or suspended ones were removed, the same count our category table uses.
2. The seal is Aperia's CompliAssure badge, sold to card processors, which pass it on to their merchants.
3. 91.06% of sized companies have 50 or fewer staff, and 97.27% are American.
4. 78.50% of live records needed no quarterly scan.

Older than you might expect. The 2010s lead with 26.51% and the 2000s follow at 19.95%, but 46.46% of matched companies with a founding year were founded before 2000, and 9.19% before 1960. Only 7.09% date from the 2020s. Herring Gas and Midwest Petroleum Company, both founded in 1946, are typical of the list.
What is the ideal customer profile for RapidScan Secure SiteSeal?
A US business with 1 to 10 staff that takes cards at a desk, over the phone or on a simple website: a medical practice, shop, builder or accountant, often founded before 2000. It runs a WordPress or Squarespace site with Google Analytics, and its processor's PCI programme issued the seal. Check that the seal record is live before treating it as current.
What is the CompliAssure SiteSeal?
It's the badge RapidScan Secure SiteSeal's script draws on a merchant's website. The script loads from rapidscansecure.com with a code unique to the merchant, and clicking the badge opens a record showing the business name, its overall PCI status, the questionnaire it filed and its validation date. Aperia Solutions' disclaimer on that record says it doesn't vouch for the site's security.
Who is Aperia, the company behind the seal?
Aperia Compliance runs white-labelled PCI compliance programmes for acquirers, ISOs, banks and payment platforms. Its website claims more than 100 payment partners and 1.6 million merchants across their portfolios. Aperia Compliance, formerly a subsidiary of Aperia Solutions, merged with the payments company IXOPAY in December 2024 and now trades as Aperia Compliance, an IXOPAY company.
How much does RapidScan Secure SiteSeal cost?
There's no public list price. The seal comes with a PCI programme that your processor bills you for. Paya's support page says its Aperia programme's annual cost lands on the June statement, and PracticeQ's says merchants who haven't validated keep paying a monthly non-compliance fee. Ask your processor what its PCI programme fee is and whether the seal is included.
Is RapidScan Secure SiteSeal related to Rapiscan Systems?
No. Rapiscan Systems, an OSI Systems company based in Torrance, California, makes airport and checkpoint security scanners, and it fills most search results for this name. RapidScan Secure SiteSeal is the website seal served from rapidscansecure.com for Aperia's PCI compliance programmes. Our crawl counts the seal on 1,086 domains in October 2026 (1,006 with a live record), almost all of them small American businesses.
Does the seal mean the website passed a PCI scan?
Usually not. Of the 842 live seal records we read in full in October 2026, 661, or 78.50%, show the quarterly ASV scan as Not Required, because the merchant's questionnaire type doesn't call for one. 180 show a compliant scan. The seal reports that the business validated PCI compliance through its processor's programme, not that its website was scanned.
What happens to the seal when a merchant's PCI validation lapses?
The script stays on the website, but the seal stops working. For lapsed codes the image no longer loads and the verification record opens blank. In October 2026 that was true for 703 of the 1,711 domains we could check, and we removed them from this page's count. Twenty seal programmes, judging by the number in the seal code, had no live record left.
