Companies Using Marker.io
Our October 2026 crawl finds Marker.io's widget on 3,989 live domains, 5th of the 49 technologies in our Help Desk category. Marker.io isn't a help desk: it's a website feedback and bug-reporting widget, used by agencies, QA teams and in-house web teams to collect annotated screenshots and send them into Jira, Trello or Asana. Below is the list of companies that use Marker.io, with size, country, industry and stack. It includes ABC Fitness, Curves, Olymel, Young's pubs and Aston University's online campus.
The 3,989 is a cleaned count. We removed 984 domains whose Marker.io project is archived, unpaid or deleted, because the code stays on the site after the project ends, and 271 Typeform-hosted pages that load Typeform's own Marker.io project. How we did it is set out at the end of this page.

Marker.io Usage Statistics
One point: 3,989 live domains in October 2026, counted after the removals described at the end of this page, so we don't chart earlier months on a different basis. The raw count that month was 5,244. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time, so the next reading won't be a like-for-like comparison either. Exits we can count: 898 domains dropped Marker.io since we began tracking it in March 2026, and 84 of those still run it on another hostname.

Europe matters more here than for BugHerd: the Netherlands, Germany (89), Belgium (42), France (37), Sweden (34) and Switzerland (30) add up to 381 companies, 15.13% of the 2,518 in the country table, against 7.12% of BugHerd's, based on our enriched company data.
Share of the 2,734 Marker.io domains we matched to a company record — 68.5% of the 3,989 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Marker.io Market Share Among Help Desk
What is Marker.io's market share? 2.13% of Help Desk, 5th of the 49 technologies in that category at TechnologyChecker.io, counting 3,989 domains. A Statuspage row leads with 142,413 domains, then BugHerd (9,241), Atlassian Statuspage (7,212) and Freshdesk (5,487). Only BugHerd does the same job, and on both cleaned counts it has about 2.3 times Marker.io's domains.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Marker.io Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Marker.io? Mostly small ones. 41.28% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 30.71% have 11 to 50, much like BugHerd's 42.02% and 29.29%. 85 companies have more than 1,000 staff, 3.21%. At those, Marker.io usually sits on one property: a research portal at Stanford, an online-degree site at Aston University, a software microsite at Hydac.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (32.8%), then the 2000s (16.49%) and close behind the 2020s (16.08%). That's a younger base than BugHerd's, where the 2020s are 9.28%. Older firms appear mainly through one-off sites, such as Young's, the London pub group founded in 1831.
What Industries Use Marker.io the Most?
Medical Practices lead at 4.42%, followed by Software Development (3.94%) and Hospitality (3.86%), then Advertising Services and Construction (2.98% each), based on our enriched company data. No industry reaches 5%. The medical lead is partly one customer: a Canadian clinic chain runs one Marker.io project across 43 clinic domains.
Healthcare organisations using Marker.io include Mijzo, the Dutch elderly-care group, and Doctors Hospital in Nassau. Fitness brands on Marker.io include ABC Fitness, Curves and Burn Boot Camp. Hospitality companies using Marker.io include Young's pubs and Viceroy Hotels. Each of those named loaded Marker.io against a live project when we checked in October 2026.
Marker.io Alternatives & Competitors
Only BugHerd does the same job here: Atlassian Statuspage publishes status pages, Freshdesk is a help desk and Noibu monitors checkout errors. The two widgets almost never share a site: 21 BugHerd domains also load Marker.io. The bigger overlap is a help desk running beside the widget: 152 Marker.io domains also run Zendesk today, out of 194 ever seen with both, and 14 run Noibu.

How We Counted Marker.io Customers
A domain passes our Marker.io test when a page on it loads Marker.io's script from edge.marker.io or creates its configuration object. In October 2026, 5,244 live domains passed; none had a for-sale or gambling page title. We then removed two groups that carry the script but aren't Marker.io customers in their own right.
984 domains with a dead project. The widget sends its project ID to Marker.io every time it loads and gets back either the project's settings or a refusal. We read the project ID from 3,079 homepages and made the same request from each page's own address. On the 2,877 that weren't Typeform pages, 381 returned an archived project, 374 a project that no longer exists and 229 a project blocked for an inactive subscription. The code still loads on those sites but the widget doesn't open.
271 Typeform-hosted pages. Typeform runs Marker.io on its own website. Typeform workspace addresses, which our crawl stores as separate domains, and custom form domains that don't point at a form fall back to Typeform's marketing pages and load Typeform's project. We kept typeform.com and its regional domains as one customer and removed the 271 others.
That leaves 3,989, the figure on this page and the base for every chart. Two limits remain. For 2,096 of the 3,989 we couldn't read a project ID, often because a tag manager adds the snippet, so a share of them will be dead too. And 182 domains whose project refuses the address it sits on stay in the count, because the project itself is live. Because this page uses one cleaned reading, the usage chart starts in October 2026.
Expert Analysis: Marker.io Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Marker.io looks like BugHerd's smaller twin, and on cleaned counts it is. But a third of the snippets we could check pointed at a project that was archived, deleted or unpaid, and one platform was in there too. A domain counts here when its pages create Marker.io's configuration object or load its script from edge.marker.io, and the project behind it isn't known to be dead. Our October 2026 crawl finds 3,989 live domains on that basis, 2,734 matched to a company, 5th of 49 in Help Desk. On the cleaned set, 2,108 of 2,830 homepages we could read had the snippet in the page source.
One platform out of the count
Typeform uses Marker.io on its own marketing site. Our crawl stores Typeform workspace addresses as separate domains, and those addresses, plus custom form domains that don't point at a form, fall back to Typeform's marketing pages. All of them loaded Typeform's project: 271 domains, 5.17% of the raw count, belonging to one customer. Typeform's project refuses to open on those addresses anyway, so the widget did nothing there. They're out.
Marker.io puts a project ID in its configuration. On the cleaned set we read it on 1,893 domains: 1,324 projects, 81.3% of them on a single domain. The multi-domain projects are brands with many addresses. A Canadian clinic chain runs one project on 43 clinic domains, a Dutch building supplier one on 27, a children's hospital foundation one on 26 and a family of UK charities one on 21.
Sales signal: dedupe by project before you count accounts. Most rows are one team with one site.
Is the project still alive?
Every time the widget loads, it asks Marker.io for its project, and the answer says whether the project works. We asked for every project we read on the raw set, 2,877 non-Typeform domains. 984 (34.2%) were dead: 13.24% archived, 13% projects Marker.io no longer has and 7.96% blocked for an inactive subscription. We removed them. Of the 1,893 readable domains left, 1,673 point at a live project: 1,043 show the widget to logged-in team members only, 438 keep it hidden until called and 192 show a feedback button to everyone. Another 182 refuse the address they sit on, usually because the project was verified for a different domain, and the other 38 gave no clear answer.
"A third of the Marker.io snippets we could check pointed at a project that was archived, unpaid or gone. Teams close the project when the site launches and leave the code in the template." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: archived and unpaid projects belong to former customers who still have the code in their template. For Marker.io's rivals, those 984 domains are a list of warm leads.
Exits we can see
Dead projects are the quiet churn. The visible kind is a site removing the code: 898 domains dropped Marker.io since we began tracking it in March 2026, and 84 of those still run it on another hostname, so the real figure is a little lower. Because this page now uses one cleaned reading, there is no trend line yet; the next monthly crawl will be the first like-for-like comparison, with the usual caveat that the set of domains we crawl turns over and our detection widens.
Sales signal: a site that removed the code has made a decision; a site with a dead project hasn't. Prioritise the second group for win-back or displacement.
Who the customers are
41.28% of matched companies have 1 to 10 employees and 30.71% have 11 to 50. The age profile is younger than BugHerd's: 16.08% were founded in the 2020s, against 9.28%. Large organisations appear through single sites: Aston University's online campus, a Stanford research portal, ABC Fitness. Marker.io's own case studies feature L'Oréal, which it says runs Marker.io across 100+ websites, and 360VIER, which it says manages 250+ sites. Its about page claims 3,000+ customers and a nine-person team.
Sales signal: the buyer is a web or QA lead at a small software company or agency. Developer-facing pitches land better here than client-feedback ones.
Industry and geography
Medical Practices lead at 4.42%, partly that clinic chain's domains, then Software Development (3.94%) and Hospitality (3.86%). No industry reaches 5%. The United States has 1,354 companies, the United Kingdom 301 and Canada 241. Europe is stronger than on BugHerd: six continental countries hold 381 companies, 15.13% of the country table against 7.12% of BugHerd's, led by the Netherlands (149).
Sales signal: Benelux web agencies are better covered by a Marker.io list than a BugHerd one.
No switching to report
No migration pair passes our tests. 152 Marker.io domains run Zendesk today, out of 194 ever seen with both; 14 run Noibu and 3 Birdie. Only 21 domains load both Marker.io and BugHerd.
"Marker.io and BugHerd share almost no sites, so the choice is made once per team. Win the agency or the QA lead and you get every site they touch." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales signal: displacement happens at the team, not the domain. Target the agencies behind multi-domain projects first.
The stack around it
WordPress runs on 43.23% of the cleaned domains and Webflow on 11.1%, more than twice its 4.49% on BugHerd's. Sentry is on 10.58% and Datadog on 2.33%. CookieYes (9.3%), OneTrust (7.84%), Cookie Control (7.24%) and Cookiebot (6.89%) point to European and enterprise sites, and Zendesk (3.13%) leads the support tools.
Sales signal: Webflow agencies and B2B software teams are the two clearest segments in this stack.
What it costs
Marker.io's pricing page (15 October 2026) lists Starter at $39 a month billed yearly for 3 users, Team at $149 for 15 users with Jira, issue sync and session replay, and a custom Business plan. Agencies can apply for a $99-a-month Agency plan. Reporters are free and unlimited, and the trial runs 15 days.
Sales signal: a three-user Starter plan is cheap to keep and easy to forget, which fits the many archived projects we found.
Key takeaways
1. 3,989 live domains after cleaning, 5th in Help Desk, but a feedback widget, not a help desk.
2. 984 dead projects and 271 Typeform pages are out of the count.
3. Of 1,893 readable domains left, 1,673 open normally, most visible only to the team, and 182 more sit on a live project that refuses the address.
4. Younger and more European than BugHerd's base, with more developer tooling around it.

Collecting website feedback and bug reports. A widget on the site, or a browser extension, lets a tester or client mark up a screenshot; Marker.io attaches browser and environment details and files it in Jira, Trello, Asana, GitHub or another tracker. Most live projects we checked show the widget only to logged-in team members, so visitors never see it. Since 27 October 2026 every plan also includes Website Monitoring, which scans up to 10 pages on a schedule for accessibility problems.

Why did Typeform pages carry Marker.io?
Typeform uses Marker.io on its own website. Typeform workspace addresses and custom form domains that don't point at a form fall back to Typeform's marketing pages, which load Typeform's Marker.io project. That put the same project on 271 domains in our raw count. They are one customer, Typeform, and its project refuses to open on those addresses, so we removed them.
Does the Marker.io widget keep working after you cancel?
No. The snippet stays on the page, but the widget checks its project with Marker.io on every load and stops if the project is archived, unpaid or deleted. Among 2,877 non-Typeform domains we checked in October 2026, 34.2% carried a dead snippet: 13.24% archived, 13% missing and 7.96% blocked for an inactive subscription. We removed those 984.
