Companies Using Atlassian Statuspage

Our October 2026 crawl counts 7,212 domains where an organisation has set up Atlassian Statuspage. Three signals count: a page served by Statuspage on the company's own hostname, such as status.hubspot.com or status.ssa.gov; Statuspage's embed widget on its website; or the DNS record Statuspage uses to verify a custom domain. For about three in five domains that record is the only signal, so read this as a list of Statuspage accounts rather than live pages. When we checked 120 of them at random on 10 October, 72 showed a live page or widget.

Below are the companies that use Atlassian Statuspage, with size, country, industry and stack. It's a business-to-business list. Software development alone is 33.67% of the companies we matched, and the names include HubSpot, Snowflake, Red Hat, Palo Alto Networks, Oracle's NetSuite and Epic Games. We file Statuspage under Help Desk, but we don't publish a market share for it, because the top row of that table isn't really a status-page product.

Atlassian Statuspage Usage Statistics

How many companies use Atlassian Statuspage? Our count reads 5,717 domains in June 2026, 6,221 in July, 6,903 in August, 7,176 in September and 7,212 in October. Don't read the early months as a run of new customers. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection widens over time; both push a count like this up, and the line went almost flat after August. Exits are rare. 264 domains have dropped Statuspage since we began tracking it in March 2026, 3.66% of the October count, and 29 of those still run it on another hostname. A DNS record usually outlives the account, so treat 264 as a floor.

List of Companies Using Atlassian Statuspage

Who uses Atlassian Statuspage? This list of companies using Atlassian Statuspage names 50 of the 5,883 matched companies, sorted by LinkedIn following, and each carried a Statuspage signal when we checked on 10 October 2026. The signal differs. For Ford, P&G and T-Mobile it's the DNS verification record alone, which shows a custom domain was set up at some point. For Palo Alto Networks, NetSuite and Autodesk, whose page is health.autodesk.com, it's a live page. Statuspage customers on the record alone may have moved on, so check the status subdomain before relying on a row.

Atlassian Statuspage Market Share Among Help Desk

What is Atlassian Statuspage's market share? We don't publish one. The top row of our Help Desk table at TechnologyChecker.io is called "Statuspage" and has 142,413 domains, but its only rule is the generic atlassian-domain-verification DNS record, which an organisation adds to verify its domain with Atlassian whatever products it buys. That's an Atlassian account, not a status page, so a share measured against it would mean nothing. Read 7,212 as an absolute count, next to Better Stack (3,352 domains), UptimeRobot (3,331) and Instatus (1,167).

Atlassian Statuspage Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Atlassian Statuspage? Mostly small and mid-sized software firms rather than micro-businesses. 31.31% of matched companies with a known headcount have 11 to 50 employees and 27.22% have 51 to 200, while only 15.93% have ten or fewer. 511 companies employ more than 1,000 people. A status page only earns its keep once customers notice downtime, and Atlassian only allows a custom domain on paid plans, both of which filter out the smallest businesses.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

Half of the matched companies with a known founding year started in the 2010s (50.99%), and another 22.63% in the 2000s. Only 9.57% date from the 2020s; a company usually needs paying customers and an uptime promise before it needs a status page. 16.82% were founded before 2000, among them Ford (1903), Pitney Bowes (1920) and Motorola Solutions (1928).

What Industries Use Atlassian Statuspage the Most?

Software Development leads at 33.67%, followed by IT Services and IT Consulting (11.89%) and Technology, Information and Internet (9.91%), based on our enriched company data. Add Information Technology & Services (3%) and Computer and Network Security (1.98%) and technology firms hold 60.45% (3,483 of 5,762) of companies with a known industry. Financial services (7.67%) and telecoms (3.89%) come next: banks, payment firms and carriers whose customers check whether the app is down.

Financial services firms on Atlassian Statuspage include ANZ, on status.online.anz.com, and Morningstar. Government agencies using Atlassian Statuspage include the US Social Security Administration, whose status.ssa.gov runs on it.

Atlassian Statuspage Alternatives & Competitors

The rivals in our Help Desk table are small: Instatus (1,167 domains, 0.62%), Cachet (197), Hund.io (57) and cState (42), based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. The bigger alternatives sit in our monitoring categories because they sell uptime checks with the page: Better Stack has 3,352 domains and UptimeRobot 3,331. Statuspal (106), Status.io (85) and StatusCake (53) are smaller still. Statuspage's 7,212 is more than any of them, though each count comes from different signals, so compare them loosely.

Atlassian Statuspage Customer Migration

Do companies switch from Atlassian Statuspage to Instatus or Better Stack? A few. Since we began tracking in March 2026, 6 domains that dropped Statuspage now run Instatus and 4 run Better Stack, all within the last 90 days. 8 came the other way from five tools, 3 of them from Instatus. These are domains, not companies, and 2 of the 6 Instatus switchers still run Statuspage on another hostname. Ten exits is not a trend, and the table undercounts: a company that moves its page rarely deletes the DNS record, so we keep counting it.

These percentages are of the 7,315 live Statuspage domains in our clean set. Amazon Web Services hosts 42.3%, Vercel 12.33% and Render 3.76%. On the monitoring side, Sentry runs on 27.45%, Datadog on 11.05% and New Relic on 7.25%: the tools that tell an engineer something broke before the status page tells customers. Zendesk is on 22.16% and Intercom on 10.51%, so the support team that fields tickets during an outage is often working on the same domain.

Expert Analysis: Atlassian Statuspage Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

David Thomson
David ThomsonCTO, TechnologyChecker

Status pages are awkward to detect, because the product usually lives on a hostname nobody links to. Our crawl finds Atlassian Statuspage three ways. A page hosted by Statuspage answers with an X-StatusPage-Version header, usually on status.<company>. A site that embeds Statuspage's widget loads a script from cdn.statuspage.io. And a company that verified a custom domain for its page often leaves a status-page-domain-verification TXT record in DNS. Together they give 7,212 domains in our October 2026 count. We matched 5,883 of them to a company, 80.42% of the 7,315 in our clean live set, which is high and fits a list of operating businesses.

Which signal does the counting

I split the 7,322 raw live domains by where the detection landed. 2,529 (34.54%) were detected on a status-named hostname, so a hosted page answered our crawler. 450 (6.15%) loaded the widget script. 4,344 (59.33%) were detected only on the root domain with no widget, which in practice means the DNS record on its own. Then I checked 120 random domains by hand on 10 October 2026. 85 carried the TXT record, 64 served a live Statuspage page, 12 loaded the widget, and 72 showed a page or a widget. That left 41 with the record and nothing else we could find. Eight of those had pointed their status subdomain at another vendor: two at Instatus, two at Status.io, and one each at incident.io, Better Stack, Statuspal and Sorry.

Sales signal: treat the list as organisations that set up Statuspage, not all organisations running it today. 72 of 120 showed a live page or widget, so check status.<domain> before you call. The record still tells you something: Atlassian's custom domain documentation says Free plan pages can't use a custom domain, so a company with the record was on a paid plan or a trial when it set it up.

Growth trajectory

The chart reads 5,717 domains in June 2026, 6,221 in July, 6,903 in August, 7,176 in September and 7,212 in October, a 26.15% rise over four months that has nearly stopped: September to October added 36. I wouldn't call the early months a buying wave. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, as dead sites drop out and new ones come in, and our detection widens over time; a count built mostly on DNS records climbs under both effects. Exits run the other way. 264 domains have dropped Statuspage since we began tracking it in March 2026, 3.66% of the October count, and 29 of them still run it on another hostname.

"For three in five Statuspage domains the DNS record is the only signal, and in our sample some of those companies had already moved their status page to another vendor. The record tells you who set Statuspage up. The status subdomain tells you who still uses it." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: this is a stable base of about 7,200 domains. The timing signal worth watching is change: a status subdomain that stops answering with Statuspage's header while the TXT record stays put.

Who runs a status page

The buyer is a company whose customers notice downtime. 33.67% of matched companies are in software development, 11.89% in IT services and 9.91% in internet businesses; financial services add 7.67% and telecoms 3.89%. By size, 31.31% have 11 to 50 employees and 27.22% have 51 to 200, and only 15.93% have ten or fewer. Half (50.99%) were founded in the 2010s. The enterprise tail is real: 511 matched companies employ more than 1,000 people, and 76 have more than 8,000 employees on LinkedIn.

The pages I opened match that profile. HubSpot, Snowflake, Red Hat, Palo Alto Networks, Epic Games and Oracle's NetSuite all serve a Statuspage page on a status subdomain. Autodesk calls its page a Health Dashboard, on health.autodesk.com. Two companies follow Atlassian's advice to put the page on a separate domain, so it stays up if their main DNS provider goes down: Canva on canvastatus.com and Akamai on akamaistatus.com. The public sector is there too, with status.ssa.gov at the US Social Security Administration. Atlassian's own acquisition announcement from July 2016 already named Intuit and New Relic among Statuspage's customers; intuit.com still carries the record.

Sales signal: a Statuspage account marks a company that has made an uptime promise to its customers. That's the buyer for incident management, on-call and monitoring tools, and the SRE or support lead who owns the page is usually easy to find.

Where the customers are

The United States has 3,117 of the 5,883 matched companies. The United Kingdom (457), Australia (301) and Canada (277) follow, and with New Zealand the English-speaking markets hold 4,209. Germany (185) and the Netherlands (177) lead continental Europe. The Nordics are strong for their size: Sweden, Norway and Denmark have 263 between them, against 114 for France. India has 42, fewer than Belgium's 60.

Sales signal: outside the US, the UK, Australia and the Nordics are the deepest pools per head of population. Teams selling into France or India will find thin lists here.

Switching, and the exits we can't see

The migration table is small. Since March 2026, 6 domains that dropped Statuspage run Instatus and 4 run Better Stack, all within the last 90 days; 8 domains came the other way from five tools, 3 of them from Instatus and 2 from UptimeRobot. Two of the six Instatus switchers still run Statuspage on another hostname. These are domains, not companies, and ten exits in a quarter isn't a trend.

The table also undercounts, and the sample shows why. A company that moves its status page changes a CNAME and rarely deletes the TXT record, so our count keeps it. Eight of the 120 I checked had done exactly that. Eight is too few to size the hidden churn, but it's enough to say that 264 is a floor.

"Ten domains moved from Statuspage to Instatus or Better Stack in the window we track. By hand, I found eight of 120 that had moved to another vendor and left Atlassian's record behind. The quiet exits are the bigger story." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: for a rival status-page vendor, the best prospects are record-only domains whose status subdomain no longer answers with Statuspage's header. Some have already left; the rest may be dormant accounts. For Atlassian's own team, the same rows are a win-back list.

The stack around it

These figures are shares of the 7,315 live domains in our clean set. Amazon Web Services hosts 42.3%, Vercel 12.33% and Render 3.76%. Sentry runs on 27.45%, Datadog on 11.05% and New Relic on 7.25%. Zendesk is on 22.16% and Intercom on 10.51%. Google Analytics, on 74.55%, is the most common tool in the stack data.

Sales signal: most Statuspage companies run no Datadog or New Relic tag on their website, which leaves room for a monitoring pitch, while the Zendesk and Intercom overlap is where a support-integration pitch lands.

What it costs

Atlassian's pricing page (checked 10 October 2026) lists a free public page with 100 subscribers, 25 components and two team members, then Hobby at $29 a month, Startup at $99, Business at $399 and Enterprise at $1,499, with subscriber limits from 250 to 25,000. Private pages for employees run from $79 to $1,499, and audience-specific pages start at $300.

Sales signal: subscriber caps drive upgrades. A live page on a custom domain means a paid plan, and a company that outgrows Startup's 1,000 subscribers faces the jump from $99 to $399 a month.

Key takeaways

1. 7,212 domains in October 2026, nearly flat since September.

2. For about three in five domains the DNS record is the only signal; in a sample of 120, 72 showed a live page or widget.

3. A software-heavy base: 33.67% in software development, 58.53% with 11 to 200 staff.

4. 264 observed exits since March 2026 is a floor, because the record outlives the account.

5. No market share: the top row of our Help Desk table is a generic Atlassian account record.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Atlassian Statuspage?

Mostly software and internet companies whose customers need to know when a service is down. Software development is 33.67% of the companies we matched, IT services 11.89% and financial services 7.67%. When we checked on 10 October 2026, HubSpot, Snowflake, Red Hat, Palo Alto Networks, NetSuite, Epic Games and the US Social Security Administration all served a Statuspage page.

How many customers does Atlassian Statuspage have?

Atlassian doesn't publish a current figure; when it bought Statuspage in 2016 it said the product had thousands of customers. We count 7,212 domains with a Statuspage signal in October 2026, 5,883 of them matched to a company. About three in five carry only the DNS record left by custom-domain setup, so read 7,212 as accounts set up, not live pages.

What is Atlassian Statuspage's market share?

We don't publish one. The top row of our Help Desk table, called Statuspage, has 142,413 domains, but its only rule is the generic Atlassian domain-verification record that organisations add for Jira or Confluence too. A share measured against that would mean nothing. Read 7,212 as an absolute count, next to Better Stack (3,352 domains), UptimeRobot (3,331) and Instatus (1,167).

What are the best alternatives to Atlassian Statuspage?

It depends on what you want beside the page. Better Stack and UptimeRobot bundle status pages with uptime monitoring, and we find them on 3,352 and 3,331 domains. Instatus, on 1,167, is the largest dedicated rival in our Help Desk table, followed by Cachet (197). Statuspal (106) and Status.io (85) are smaller. Since March 2026, 6 domains left Statuspage for Instatus.

Which countries use Atlassian Statuspage the most?

The United States, with 3,117 of the 5,883 companies we matched, then the United Kingdom (457), Australia (301), Canada (277), Germany (185) and the Netherlands (177). With New Zealand, English-speaking markets account for 4,209 of the 5,883. Sweden, Norway and Denmark have 263 between them, more than twice France's 114. India has 42.

What size companies use Atlassian Statuspage?

Mostly small and mid-sized software firms. Of matched companies with a known headcount, 31.31% have 11 to 50 employees and 27.22% have 51 to 200, while only 15.93% have ten or fewer. 511 employ more than 1,000 people. Atlassian only allows a custom domain on paid plans, which helps explain why so few micro-businesses appear.

How old are companies that use Atlassian Statuspage?

Young, but not brand new. Half of the matched companies with a known founding year (50.99%) started in the 2010s and 22.63% in the 2000s. Only 9.57% date from the 2020s, since a company usually needs paying customers before it needs a status page. Older names include Ford (1903), Pitney Bowes (1920) and Motorola Solutions (1928).

What is the ideal customer profile for Atlassian Statuspage?

The ideal Atlassian Statuspage customer is: Company Size: 11-50 employees (31.31%), then 51-200, Location: US, then UK, Australia, Canada, Industry: Software, IT services, internet, Founded: 2010s (50.99%), Signal: Status page on its own domain — based on our analysis of 5,883 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

What does Atlassian Statuspage do?

It hosts a status page where a company posts incidents and the health of each component of its service, and it notifies subscribers by email, SMS, webhook, Slack or Microsoft Teams. Atlassian sells public pages for customers, private pages for employees and audience-specific pages for groups of customers. Most pages in our data sit on a status subdomain, such as status.hubspot.com.

Is Statuspage owned by Atlassian?

Yes. Atlassian announced on 14 July 2016 that it had acquired Statuspage, which was founded in 2013, and it now sells the product as Atlassian Statuspage. In our data it's measured separately from Atlassian's own domain-verification record, which organisations add for Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian Cloud products. That record has its own profile and says nothing about status pages.

Is Atlassian Statuspage free?

There's a free plan, with limits. Atlassian's pricing page lists 100 subscribers, 25 components, two team members and two metrics on the free public page, with email, Slack and Microsoft Teams notifications. A custom domain such as status.yourcompany.com needs a paid plan: Atlassian's docs say Free plan pages can't use one. Hobby, the first paid plan, costs $29 a month.

How much does Atlassian Statuspage cost per month?

For a public page, Atlassian lists Hobby at $29 a month, Startup at $99, Business at $399 and Enterprise at $1,499, with subscriber limits rising from 250 to 25,000. Private pages for employees run from $79 (Starter) to $1,499, and audience-specific pages start at $300 a month. Hobby and every plan above it include a custom domain. Checked 10 October 2026.

How can you tell if a company uses Statuspage?

Look in three places. A page hosted by Statuspage answers with an X-StatusPage-Version header, usually on a status subdomain. An embedded widget loads a script from cdn.statuspage.io. A company that verified a custom domain often keeps a status-page-domain-verification TXT record in its DNS. We count all three; in a random sample of 120 Statuspage domains, 85 carried the record.

Do companies switch from Statuspage to Instatus or Better Stack?

A few do. Since March 2026, 6 domains that dropped Statuspage run Instatus and 4 run Better Stack, while 8 moved the other way, 3 of them from Instatus. Two of the six Instatus switchers still run Statuspage on another hostname. In a sample of 120 Statuspage domains, 8 had pointed their status subdomain at another vendor but kept the DNS record.
