Companies Using TeamViewer
Our live crawl finds TeamViewer on 7,114 domains in the August 2026 rollup, and 6,456 of the 7,282 domains we currently answer for, 88.7%, resolve to an identifiable organisation. The companies using TeamViewer named further down include Reliance Industries, HP, Ford, GE Aerospace, Ericsson, Medtronic, Sanofi, Lidl, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Tesla, AstraZeneca, BMW Group and the United Nations. TeamViewer sells remote access and remote support software, and the part of it that leaves a public trace is TeamViewer Single Sign-On, the enterprise login setup an organisation can only switch on after proving it controls a domain.
What puts a domain on this list is one DNS TXT record, teamviewer-sso-verification, published to prove that control. We resolved DNS for a random sample of 30 matched domains and all 30 carried a live teamviewer-sso-verification record; none matched on the second clause of the rule, which looks for the Monitis monitoring script. Two things follow. The record is published at the apex, so this is a company-level signal and every detection URL below is a bare domain, ril.com, hp.com, ford.com, rather than a web page. And it undercounts: an organisation running TeamViewer without domain-verified Single Sign-On leaves no trace in DNS, so 7,114 is a floor on TeamViewer's footprint and not a total.
The organisations that produce the record are large and established. 1,434 of the 6,365 companies that report a headcount, 22.53%, employ 1,001 to 5,000 people, the largest single band, and 2,221, 34.89%, employ more than 1,000. The United States holds 1,966 of the 6,410 companies we could place, 30.67%, with Germany second on 875, 13.65%, and the German-speaking countries together on 1,280, 19.97%. TeamViewer ranks 14th of 58 in APM & Error Tracking on 0.28% share, a placement inherited from Monitis, the uptime monitoring product TeamViewer acquired; read it as our category bookkeeping rather than as a contest with the error trackers above it. Below you can filter the websites using TeamViewer by size, country, industry and co-installed technology. Data current to our August 2026 rollup.

TeamViewer Usage Statistics
TeamViewer reads 6,235 domains on our June 2026 rollup, 7,004 in July and 7,114 in August. Three points cannot carry a growth rate, and this movement is coverage rather than adoption. The crawled domain set turns over every month, with dead domains falling out and newly discovered ones coming in, and what we are able to detect widens at the same time, so a domain joins this set on the day we first resolve its DNS and not on the day the organisation configured Single Sign-On. The marker adds a second reason for caution about the shape of this line: a verification record is published once and then left alone, often years before we see it. Read the three points as three sightings of a largely static population. The August figure, 7,114, is the one quoted at the top of this page.

Which Countries Use TeamViewer the Most?
Which countries use TeamViewer the most? The United States holds 1,966 of the 6,410 companies we could place, 30.67%, ahead of Germany on 875 (13.65%), the United Kingdom on 477 (7.44%), Australia on 370 (5.77%) and France on 290 (4.52%). Those five cover 3,978 companies, 62.06%. The shape matters more than the order. On most SaaS profiles on this site the United States clears half of the placed companies; here it stops at 30.67%. Germany, Switzerland (231, 3.6%) and Austria (174, 2.71%) together come to 1,280 companies, 19.97%, roughly two thirds of the US share. TeamViewer is headquartered in Göppingen, and the base still carries that origin. Behind the top five come Canada (242, 3.78%), the Netherlands (191, 2.98%), Italy (122, 1.9%), Denmark (119, 1.86%), Belgium (116, 1.81%), Spain (104, 1.62%), Norway (98, 1.53%) and Sweden (97, 1.51%). The fifteen countries listed cover 5,472 companies, 85.37%. Country here is the headquarters on the company record, not where the machines being reached actually sit.
Share of the 6,456 TeamViewer domains we matched to a company record — 90.8% of the 7,114 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
TeamViewer Market Share Among APM & Error Tracking
What is TeamViewer's market share? TeamViewer holds 0.28% of APM & Error Tracking and ranks 14th of 58 in that category, on 7,114 domains. Both numbers are the data we hold, and both need a caveat before anyone quotes them. TeamViewer sits in this category because of Monitis, the uptime and real user monitoring product TeamViewer acquired, and our detection rule still carries a clause pointing at the Monitis script. In a random sample of 30 matched domains that clause matched none of them: all 30 were matched on the DNS record. So the thing being counted here is a remote access and identity product, while the category it is counted in is application error tracking. Sentry leads that category on 1,851,998 domains and 71.99%, then New Relic on 226,775 (8.81%) and Datadog on 148,622 (5.78%). Those three are found by reading a JavaScript file out of a page we crawled. TeamViewer is found by resolving one TXT record. A 0.28% share measured against that table is not a like-for-like comparison, and we would rather say so than let the number stand on its own.
Top Competitors by Market Share
TeamViewer Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use TeamViewer? The distribution peaks well above the middle. 1,434 of the 6,365 companies that report a headcount, 22.53%, employ 1,001 to 5,000 people, the largest single band, with 51-200 (1,183, 18.59%) and 201-500 (1,061, 16.67%) behind it and 501-1,000 on 822, 12.91%. Above 1,000 employees the total is 2,221 companies, 34.89%, made up of 1,434 at 1,001-5,000, 354 at 5,001-10,000 (5.56%) and 433 at 10,001+ (6.8%). At the small end, 1,078 companies, 16.94%, employ 50 or fewer, split 457 (7.18%) at 1-10 and 621 (9.76%) at 11-50. That peak is unusual for this site, where most profiles peak at 1-10 or 11-50 because most detectable technologies are things a small company puts on a website. This one peaks four bands higher, because what is being detected is a Single Sign-On configuration, and an organisation only wires an application into central identity once it has the staff and the identity provider to justify it. The thin small end is a property of the marker, not evidence that small companies do not run TeamViewer.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
Pre-1960 is the largest bucket at 1,306 of the 4,997 companies with a founding year on file, 26.14%, which is not the usual shape here. Adding the 1960s (324, 6.48%) and the 1970s (396, 7.92%), 2,026 companies, 40.54%, were founded before 1980. The 2000s follow at 785, 15.71%, the 2010s at 722, 14.45%, and the 1990s at 719, 14.39%, while the 2020s are the smallest bucket on the chart at 192, 3.84%. Read next to the size distribution the picture is consistent: established organisations with a lot of staff and, usually, a lot of physical premises. Two record cautions. A founding year comes from the company record, so restructured and spun-out groups carry the later date: HP is recorded at 2011, Baker Hughes at 2014 and Sanofi at 2004, which are dates on a record rather than the age of the business. And the named list further down is ordered by LinkedIn following, which selects for the largest and oldest names, so Ericsson at 1876, ISS at 1901, Ford at 1903 and BMW Group at 1916 sit well to the left of the distribution.
What Industries Use TeamViewer the Most?
IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 395 of the 6,245 companies with a recorded industry, 6.33%, and that number is the finding rather than the label attached to it. A top industry of 6.33% means adoption is horizontal: no sector owns this product. Software Development follows at 273, 4.37%, Construction at 251, 4.02%, Financial Services at 230, 3.68%, Retail at 207, 3.31%, Machinery Manufacturing at 195, 3.12%, and Hospitals and Health Care at 193, 3.09%. Government Administration (131, 2.1%), Insurance (117, 1.87%) and Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage (116, 1.86%) close the table. The ten labels shown cover 2,108 companies, 33.76%, so two thirds of the matched base sits outside them, spread across dozens of other industries. Compare that with a developer tool, where software development alone often takes a fifth of the base. Remote access gets bought by whoever has machines someone has to reach, which is very nearly everyone.
IT services firms using TeamViewer are the largest single block at 395 companies, 6.33% of the 6,245 with a recorded industry, which is what a tool that support desks live in should look like. The cluster underneath it is the one worth reading. Construction (251, 4.02%), Machinery Manufacturing (195, 3.12%), Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain and Storage (116, 1.86%), Motor Vehicle Manufacturing (106, 1.7%) and Wholesale Building Materials (101, 1.62%) sum to 769 companies, 12.31% of the 6,245, close to double the largest single label. Those are organisations whose equipment is spread across plants, sites, depots, vehicles and customer premises, and remote access is how a technician reaches a machine they cannot walk to. The named list agrees: Ford, BMW Group and Baker Hughes on the industrial side, CEVA Logistics in freight, Lidl across a retail estate. Regulated services using TeamViewer come to 347 companies, 5.56%, across Financial Services (230, 3.68%) and Insurance (117, 1.87%), with Hospitals and Health Care adding 193, 3.09%, and Government Administration 131, 2.1%. One caution on this field. The industry comes from the company record and a diversified group is filed under a single label, so Medtronic lands in Medical Equipment Manufacturing and Sanofi in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, both outside the ten labels shown, which is another way of seeing how wide the spread really is.
TeamViewer Alternatives & Competitors
This table needs reading twice, because nothing in it is a remote access product. APM & Error Tracking is ranked by detected domains, and the five entries above TeamViewer are simply the largest rows in the same taxonomy bucket rather than products a TeamViewer buyer would evaluate: Sentry on 1,851,998 domains and 71.99%, New Relic on 226,775 (8.81%), Datadog on 148,622 (5.78%), Boomerang on 52,708 (2.05%) and BugSnag on 51,398 (2%). TeamViewer is filed here because of Monitis, the uptime and real user monitoring product TeamViewer acquired, whose script the second clause of our detection rule still points at. Nobody shortlists an error tracker against TeamViewer Single Sign-On. All five of those rows are read from a JavaScript file on a page we crawled, a surface most public websites expose, while TeamViewer is read from a DNS record an organisation publishes once, so the ratio between them is arithmetic rather than a market position. There is also no switching table on this page, and that is deliberate rather than an omission. 73 domains have dropped the TeamViewer record since we began tracking in March 2026, and we ran the destination query for all of them against the other 57 technologies in this category. No destination cleared its own base rate among TeamViewer's live domains. The largest single destination was 5 domains, and every one of those five was already running that script-detected monitoring tool before the TeamViewer record disappeared, so nothing was replaced by anything. Different surface, different function, no corridor. We publish nothing rather than dress up noise as a switching trend.
Tech Stack of TeamViewer-Powered Websites
Read this table in two halves, because only one of them is comparable to TeamViewer's own number. Every percentage here divides by the 7,282 domains our live crawl currently answers for, not by the 7,114 in the August rollup. The group headed Verified SaaS Accounts on the Same Domains is made of products found in exactly the way TeamViewer is, as a verification record published in the domain's DNS: Atlassian on 3,146 of those domains, 43.2%, DocuSign on 1,832, 25.16%, Miro on 1,148, 15.76%, Zoom on 958, 13.16%, Smartsheet on 793, 10.89%, Jamf on 718, 9.86%, and Webex on 712, 9.78%. Same surface, same kind of evidence, same denominator, so those rows sit beside TeamViewer's own count as a like-for-like comparison of enterprise account setups. The remaining groups are detected differently and should not be read that way. WordPress on 2,697, 37.04%, OneTrust on 1,482, 20.35%, Salesforce on 1,181, 16.22%, Cookiebot on 779, 10.7%, Usercentrics on 493, 6.77% and Microsoft Dynamics 365 on 355, 4.88% are read off the organisation's public website, because a DNS match sends the crawler to the homepage. Those rows describe a marketing site built by a different team from the one that configured Single Sign-On. One of them rewards a closer look: TYPO3 CMS on 384 domains, 5.27%, is a content management system whose market is overwhelmingly German-speaking, and its presence at that level corroborates the DACH weighting in the country table from a completely independent signal.

Expert Analysis: TeamViewer Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

This is a list of organisations that verified a domain for TeamViewer SSO, not a list of TeamViewer users
Almost every number on this page follows from one detail about how a domain got here. Our rule for TeamViewer offers two ways in: a teamviewer-sso-verification TXT record in DNS, or the Monitis real user monitoring script on a crawled page. We took a random sample of 30 matched domains and resolved each one. All 30 carried a live teamviewer-sso-verification record, and none matched on the Monitis script. In practice, then, this page counts exactly one thing: organisations that proved they control a domain so they could configure TeamViewer Single Sign-On.
That is narrower than TeamViewer usage, and it is worth being precise about the gap. TeamViewer is installed software. A support technician running the client on a laptop, an unattended host on a factory floor, a small firm on a handful of licences: none of them touch DNS, and none of them appear here. Domain-verified Single Sign-On is something an organisation configures when it already has an identity provider and enough staff to justify wiring another application into it. So 7,114 is a floor on TeamViewer's footprint, not a total, and the direction of the error is known. This measurement can only undercount.
What the record does prove is specific and useful. Somebody with authority over that domain's DNS zone completed an enterprise setup step for TeamViewer. What it does not prove is anything about scale or currency. There is no seat count in a TXT record, no plan tier, no last login. It also does not expire on its own, so a record published years ago still resolves today whether or not the contract renewed.
7,114 is a good answer to how many organisations have domain-verified TeamViewer Single Sign-On. It is a poor answer to how many companies use TeamViewer, and the second question is the one people usually mean when they ask.
The category is wrong, and the rank is still worth publishing
TechnologyChecker.io files TeamViewer in APM & Error Tracking, where it ranks 14th of 58 on 0.28% share. That is the wrong shelf for the product, and the reason sits in the second clause of the detection rule. TeamViewer acquired Monitis, an uptime and real user monitoring product, and the technology record inherited Monitis's category. TeamViewer Single Sign-On is remote access and identity. It does not compete with application error tracking, and a buyer evaluating it is not also evaluating Sentry.
So read the competitor table as what it is: the largest rows in the same taxonomy bucket, not a shortlist. Sentry holds 1,851,998 domains and 71.99% of the category, New Relic 226,775 and 8.81%, Datadog 148,622 and 5.78%, with Boomerang on 52,708 and BugSnag on 51,398. All of those are found by reading a JavaScript file out of a page we crawled, a surface almost every public website exposes. TeamViewer is found by resolving one DNS record an organisation publishes once and forgets. Dividing the second population by the first produces 0.28%, and that figure is arithmetic rather than a market position. We publish it because it is the data we hold, and because quietly dropping an inconvenient number is worse than explaining what it is.
The buyer is large, old, and has equipment in places
The size curve is where this page earns its keep for anyone prospecting the base. 1,434 of the 6,365 companies with a headcount on file, 22.53%, employ 1,001 to 5,000 people, and that is the largest single band. Most profiles on this site peak at 1-10 or 11-50, because most detectable technologies are things a small company puts on a website. This one peaks four bands higher. Above 1,000 employees the total is 2,221 companies, 34.89%; below 50 it is 1,078, 16.94%. That is a direct consequence of the marker. Single Sign-On is an organisational capability, and organisations that do not run one cannot produce this record at all.
The age distribution agrees with the size distribution. 1,306 of the 4,997 companies with a founding year, 26.14%, predate 1960, and 2,026, 40.54%, were founded before 1980, while the 2020s are the smallest bucket at 192, 3.84%. The industry table then refuses to concentrate at all: IT Services and IT Consulting leads on 395 of the 6,245 companies with a recorded industry, only 6.33%, and the ten labels shown cover just 2,108 companies, 33.76%, between them.
Where the industries do cluster is the useful part. Construction, Machinery Manufacturing, Transportation and Logistics, Motor Vehicle Manufacturing and Wholesale Building Materials sum to 769 companies, 12.31% of the 6,245, close to double the largest single label. Those are organisations whose equipment sits in plants, depots, vehicles and customer premises, and remote access is how somebody reaches a machine they cannot walk to. Ford, BMW Group, Baker Hughes and CEVA Logistics are all on the named list. If you are building a target account list from this page, that cluster is the segment where the product story writes itself.
Geography finishes the picture. The United States takes 1,966 of the 6,410 placed companies, 30.67%, which is low for a SaaS profile here, where the US usually clears half. Germany, Switzerland and Austria together take 1,280, 19.97%, roughly two thirds of the US figure. TeamViewer is a Göppingen company and the base still shows it. A completely independent signal agrees: TYPO3 CMS, a content management system whose market is overwhelmingly German-speaking, appears on 384 of the 7,282 live domains, 5.27%, which is a long way above what a random sample of enterprise websites would produce.
Under 1% churn is a fact about DNS, and it is why there is no migration table
73 domains have dropped the TeamViewer record since we began tracking in March 2026, 0.99% of the 7,347 domains we have ever seen carrying it. On most profiles a figure under 1% would be worth calling stickiness. Here it is not, and the distinction matters. The 73 drops spread across 12 weeks with no burst, the largest single week accounting for 17 of them, which is steady low-level attrition rather than a cancellation event.
A TXT record costs nothing to keep, breaks nothing when it goes stale, and is invisible to everyone except a resolver. Nobody opens a DNS zone to tidy up after a contract lapses. So a lapsed organisation usually keeps its record and keeps being counted, which means 0.99% measures the persistence of the record rather than loyalty to the vendor.
Near-zero churn on a verification record is a statement about DNS housekeeping. It is not a retention rate, and reading it as one will flatter every vendor measured this way.
That property is also why there is no migration section on this page. We took all 73 dropped domains and ran the destination query against the other 57 technologies in the category. The largest single destination was 5 domains, and every one of those five was already running that script-detected monitoring tool before the TeamViewer record went away, so nothing was replaced by anything. No destination cleared its own base rate among TeamViewer's live domains. A corridor has to survive that test before it is worth printing, none did, and so we publish nothing rather than dress up noise as a switching trend.
One block of the stack table is comparable, the rest is not
The co-occurrence table has one group that can be read next to TeamViewer's own number and several that cannot, and holding that distinction is the difference between a useful read and a wrong one. The group headed Verified SaaS Accounts on the Same Domains is made of products detected in exactly the way TeamViewer is, as a verification record in the domain's DNS. Atlassian appears on 3,146 of the 7,282 live domains, 43.2%; DocuSign on 1,832, 25.16%; Miro on 1,148, 15.76%; Zoom on 958, 13.16%; Smartsheet on 793, 10.89%; Jamf on 718, 9.86%; and Webex on 712, 9.78%. Same surface, same kind of evidence, same denominator. A company that verified a domain for one of those made the same kind of decision, in the same system, and left the same kind of trace.
The other groups are different in kind. WordPress at 2,697 domains, 37.04%, OneTrust at 1,482, 20.35%, and Salesforce at 1,181, 16.22% come from crawling the organisation's public website, because a DNS match sends the crawler to the homepage. They describe a marketing site built by a team that has nothing to do with the one that configured Single Sign-On. Useful for qualifying an account, useless for inferring what TeamViewer sits alongside operationally. And one denominator note that governs the whole table: every percentage in it divides by the 7,282 domains our live crawl currently answers for, not by the 7,114 in the August rollup. The two sets differ because the rollup is a monthly snapshot while the live set moves, so never take an overlap count from this table and divide it by the headline number.
For anyone deciding whether to prospect this base, the summary is short. It is small, it is honest about what it contains, and it is biased toward exactly the accounts worth calling: every row is an organisation that runs central identity, has the headcount to need it, and put TeamViewer inside it. What the list cannot tell you is how many seats sit behind each domain or whether the contract is still live. Treat it as a qualified starting set from TechnologyChecker.io, verify currency separately, and remember that the companies missing from it are not companies that have no TeamViewer.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses TeamViewer?
Our live crawl finds TeamViewer on 7,114 domains, and 6,456 of the 7,282 we currently answer for, 88.7%, resolve to an identifiable organisation. Named users include Reliance Industries, HP, Ford, Ericsson, Medtronic, Sanofi, Lidl, Tesla and BMW Group. Every one of these domains published a teamviewer-sso-verification DNS record, so this is a population that configured TeamViewer Single Sign-On rather than everyone who runs TeamViewer.
How many customers does TeamViewer have?
We detect TeamViewer on 7,114 domains in our August 2026 rollup, and 6,456 of the 7,282 domains our live crawl answers for, 88.7%, resolve to a company record. Counts are domains, not seats, accounts or licences, and one group can hold several. Do not read 7,114 as a customer count: it is the number of domains carrying a visible Single Sign-On verification record, which is a floor on TeamViewer's real footprint.
What is TeamViewer's market share?
TeamViewer holds 0.28% of our APM & Error Tracking category and ranks 14th of 58, on 7,114 domains. Sentry leads that category on 1,851,998 domains and 71.99%, New Relic on 226,775 (8.81%) and Datadog on 148,622 (5.78%). That comparison is not like-for-like. TeamViewer sits in this category because of Monitis, and it competes with remote access products, not error trackers.
What are the best alternatives to TeamViewer?
This page cannot answer that honestly. The five technologies ranked above TeamViewer in APM & Error Tracking, Sentry, New Relic, Datadog, Boomerang and BugSnag, are the largest rows in the same taxonomy bucket, not products a TeamViewer buyer evaluates. Remote access competitors ship mostly as installed software and leave no public marker on a website or in DNS, so they cannot be counted the way TeamViewer is counted here.
Which countries use TeamViewer the most?
The United States leads with 1,966 of the 6,410 companies we could place, 30.67%, then Germany on 875 (13.65%), the United Kingdom on 477 (7.44%), Australia on 370 (5.77%) and France on 290 (4.52%). Germany, Switzerland and Austria together hold 1,280, 19.97%, roughly two thirds of the US share. That is unusually European for a SaaS profile here, and TeamViewer is headquartered in Göppingen, Germany.
What size companies use TeamViewer?
The peak sits high. 1,434 of the 6,365 companies that report a headcount, 22.53%, employ 1,001 to 5,000 people, the largest single band, with 51-200 (1,183, 18.59%) and 201-500 (1,061, 16.67%) behind it. Above 1,000 employees the total is 2,221, 34.89%. Only 1,078, 16.94%, employ 50 or fewer. Most profiles here peak at 1-10 or 11-50, so this shape is unusual.
How old are companies that use TeamViewer?
Pre-1960 is the largest bucket at 1,306 of the 4,997 companies with a founding year, 26.14%, and 2,026, 40.54%, were founded before 1980. The 2000s follow at 785 (15.71%), the 2010s at 722 (14.45%) and the 1990s at 719 (14.39%). The 2020s are smallest at 192, 3.84%. Restructured groups carry the date on the record, so HP appears at 2011 and Baker Hughes at 2014.
What is the ideal customer profile for TeamViewer?
A large, established organisation with equipment spread across sites. The 1,001-5,000 band is largest at 22.53% of 6,365 sized companies, 34.89% exceed 1,000 employees, and 40.54% of the 4,997 dated companies predate 1980. No industry exceeds 6.33% of the 6,245 classified, but construction, machinery, vehicles, logistics and building materials sum to 12.31%. The marker is a Single Sign-On record, so this describes enterprise buyers running central identity.
How is TeamViewer detected on this page?
By a DNS TXT record on the domain, teamviewer-sso-verification, published to prove control of a domain before TeamViewer Single Sign-On can be configured. Our rule also carries a second clause for the Monitis monitoring script. We resolved DNS for a random sample of 30 matched domains: all 30 carried a live verification record, and none of them matched on the Monitis clause.
Does this count everyone who uses TeamViewer?
No, and the gap runs one way. Domain-verified Single Sign-On is an enterprise setup step, so an organisation running TeamViewer without it leaves no trace in DNS and never appears here. Individual technicians, small firms on a few licences and unattended hosts on a factory floor are all invisible to this method. Treat 7,114 as a floor on TeamViewer's footprint, never as a total.
Why is TeamViewer listed under APM & Error Tracking?
Because TeamViewer acquired Monitis, an uptime and real user monitoring product, and the technology record inherited that category. The second clause of our detection rule still points at the Monitis script. The shelf is wrong for the product: TeamViewer Single Sign-On is remote access and identity, not application performance monitoring. We publish the rank, 14th of 58, and the 0.28% share, and we flag the mismatch rather than hide it.
Are companies leaving TeamViewer?
73 domains have dropped the record since we began tracking in March 2026, 0.99% of the 7,347 we have ever seen carrying it. The drops spread across 12 weeks with no burst, the largest week accounting for 17 of them. That is not a retention statistic. A TXT record costs nothing to keep, and nobody opens a DNS zone after a contract lapses, so under 1% measures record persistence.
Why is there no switching or migration data for TeamViewer?
Because nothing survived the check. We took all 73 dropped domains and ran the destination query against the other 57 technologies in the category. The largest single destination was 5 domains, and each was already running that script-detected monitoring tool before the TeamViewer record disappeared, so nothing was replaced. No destination cleared its own base rate among TeamViewer's live domains, so we publish nothing rather than dress up noise.
