Companies Using Amazon Business

Our October 2026 crawl finds an Amazon Business verification record in the DNS of 8,962 domains. It's a TXT record, amazon-business-verification followed by a code, that an administrator adds to prove the organisation owns its email domain. Amazon now calls the feature Account Authority: once the domain is verified, anyone who signs up with a work email is routed through the company's approval process. So these are organisations with an Amazon Business account that chose to govern it centrally, not websites running anything. Below are the companies that use Amazon Business, with industry, size and country, including Micron, C.H. Robinson, QuikTrip and Portland State University.

Amazon says more than 11 million organisations buy through Amazon Business, so 8,962 is a small, deliberate slice: fewer than one in a thousand. It's mid-sized and American. 4,464 of the 7,645 companies we matched are in the United States, and 36.23% of those with a known headcount (2,717 of 7,499) have 51 to 500 staff. Our records file Amazon Business under CRM, but we don't publish a market share, because a purchasing account doesn't compete with sales software.

Amazon Business Usage Statistics

How many organisations have verified a domain with Amazon Business? Our count reads 7,087 domains in June 2026, 8,194 in July, 8,328 in August, 8,777 in September and 8,962 in October. Amazon reports real growth, but part of this rise is ours: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead domains dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection widens over time. Exits are rare. 107 domains have lost the record since we began tracking it in March 2026, 1.19% of the 8,962, and 14 of them still carried it on another hostname when we checked on 11 October. A verification record usually stays put after the account goes quiet, so read that low number as a property of the record, not loyalty.

List of Companies Using Amazon Business

Who uses Amazon Business? This list of companies using Amazon Business names 50 of the 7,645 matched organisations, sorted by LinkedIn following, and every domain on it carried an amazon-business-verification record when we checked its DNS on 11 October 2026. The best-known Amazon Business customers sit at the top: Micron, C.H. Robinson, TÜV SÜD, Culver's and Tenaris. Further down, a county, a state governor's office, a university, contractors and staffing firms look like the core buyer: an organisation where many people order and one finance team pays.

Amazon Business Market Share Among CRM

What is Amazon Business's market share? We don't publish one. Our records file Amazon Business under CRM at TechnologyChecker.io, where its count would rank seventh, behind Zoho and Salesforce. That ranking means nothing: Amazon Business is where an organisation buys supplies, not where it manages customers. Its real rivals are supply and procurement channels such as Staples Business Advantage, Office Depot and Grainger, so this page carries no competitor table. Read 8,962 as an absolute count of domains verified with Amazon Business.

Amazon Business Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Amazon Business? A wide middle. 32.1% of matched companies with a known headcount have one to ten employees, but 25.34% have 51 to 200 and 10.89% have 201 to 500, so 36.23% sit between 51 and 500. That's the size where buying on a dozen personal logins stops working and someone is told to centralise it, which is what verifying the domain does. 312 companies employ more than 1,000 and only 29 more than 10,000, though Amazon says 97 of the Fortune 100 use Amazon Business.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

The 2010s are the largest founding decade at 27.52%, but the spread is wide. 42.54% of matched companies with a known founding year (2,506 of 5,891) started before 2000, and 14.43% before 1960, while 14.19% date from the 2020s. The list includes councils, universities, contractors and churches, many of them far older than Amazon Business, which launched in 2015.

What Industries Use Amazon Business the Most?

IT services and consulting lead at 9.08%, and LinkedIn's older label for the same trade, Information Technology & Services, adds 1.89%. Software development (5.88%), construction (3.96%) and non-profits (3.78%) follow, then financial services (2.5%), hospitals and health care (2.46%) and religious institutions (1.94%), based on our enriched company data. The top ten add up to 35.85%, so no vertical owns this list. What the leaders share is many people placing small, repeat orders against one budget.

Tech Stack of Amazon Business-Powered Websites

These percentages are of the 9,011 live Amazon Business domains in our clean set. Microsoft 365 handles mail on 46.78% and Google Workspace on 22.96%, which matters because Account Authority keys everything to the work email. Salesforce runs on 6.92% and Zoho on 4.95%, and WordPress builds 43.24% of the websites.

Expert Analysis: Amazon Business Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Sophie Clarke
Sophie ClarkeProduct Marketing Manager, TechnologyChecker

Most of what an organisation buys never shows up from outside. Amazon Business leaves one public trace, and it comes from a governance feature rather than from buying. An administrator who wants control over every Amazon Business account on the company's email domain has to verify that domain, and doing it by DNS publishes a TXT record, amazon-business-verification plus a code. Amazon describes the steps on its Account Authority page: verify the root domain, then route new sign-ups with a work email through the company's approval process and consolidate the accounts already on it. Our October 2026 crawl finds the record on 8,962 domains. We matched 7,645 of the 9,011 in our clean live set to a company, an 84.84% match rate, which is what you'd expect when the domains belong to operating organisations.

What the record proves

It proves an organisation has an Amazon Business account and decided to govern it centrally. It doesn't measure how much the organisation buys, and it misses the far larger number of accounts that never verified a domain. Amazon says it serves more than 11 million organisations, so 8,962 domains is fewer than one in a thousand. I checked from the other side too. Fresno Unified School District, Nebraska Medicine and poppi all appear in Amazon's customer stories, and none of their domains publishes the record.

Sales signal: these rows beat a generic "buys on Amazon" list. Someone in finance or IT made purchasing policy a project, and that person is the buyer for procurement, spend-management and identity tools.

Growth trajectory

The chart reads 7,087 domains in June, 8,194 in July, 8,328 in August, 8,777 in September and 8,962 in October, a 26.46% rise in four months. Amazon reports 1.8 million new organisations in the first half of 2026, but our line can't separate real growth from our own coverage. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead domains dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time, so a count like this climbs even when nothing changes at Amazon. The step from June to July, 1,107 domains, is the largest.

Very few leave. 107 domains have lost the record since we began tracking it in March 2026, 1.19% of today's count, and 14 of those still carried it on another hostname when I checked on 11 October. Once a domain is verified there's rarely a reason to take the record down, so the low number says more about DNS habits than about loyalty.

"Amazon Business adds organisations by the million. Only a few thousand publish this record, and those are the ones where someone took ownership of how the whole company buys." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: sell to this list as an installed base, not a wave. The record tells you who governs their Amazon purchasing today; it won't tell you who started last month.

Who the customers are

A wide middle, plus a large group of very small buyers. 32.1% of matched companies with a known headcount have ten or fewer employees, but 25.34% have 51 to 200 and 10.89% have 201 to 500, so 36.23% sit between 51 and 500. Only 312 employ more than 1,000, and 29 more than 10,000, even though Amazon says 97 of the Fortune 100 buy through Amazon Business. My reading: a giant can run Amazon Business without verifying the domain, while a 200-person company is exactly where Amazon's own pitch for Account Authority, scattered accounts and lost visibility, hits hardest.

Age points to established organisations: 42.54% (2,506 of 5,891) were founded before 2000 and 14.43% before 1960, while 14.19% date from the 2020s. The names fit. Micron, C.H. Robinson, QuikTrip, Huntington Ingalls Industries and TÜV SÜD sit near the top by LinkedIn following; further down are Culver's, Smoothie King, Davey Tree, Portland State University, Monroe County in New York and Special Olympics. I checked all 50 in DNS.

Sales signal: Prime Business is priced by buying users, from $179 a year for up to 5 users to $1,299 for up to 200, per Amazon's plans page. An organisation in the 51 to 500 band is the one choosing between those tiers, and it's where a seller of approval workflows or spend analytics has the clearest case.

Industries and countries

IT services lead at 9.08%, plus 1.89% under LinkedIn's older Information Technology & Services label. Software development (5.88%), construction (3.96%) and non-profits (3.78%) follow, then financial services (2.5%), hospitals and health care (2.46%) and religious institutions (1.94%). The top ten make up 35.85% of matched companies. I expected retail and hospitality higher. What the leaders share instead is many people placing small orders against one budget, whether that's laptops and cables or cleaning supplies for a church hall.

Geography is concentrated. The United States holds 4,464 of the 7,645 matched companies (58.39%), then Germany (807), the United Kingdom (612), Canada (462), Italy (265), France (229), Spain (154) and Japan (110). Australia has 21.

Sales signal: if you sell procurement or approval tools, start with IT services, construction and non-profits, the three largest groups outside software. Germany is the second market by a clear margin, 807 matched companies against the United Kingdom's 612, so a German-language campaign reaches more of this list than a UK one.

Rivals and switching

We don't publish a market share. Under CRM, where our records file it, the count would rank seventh behind Zoho and Salesforce, and the position tells you nothing about a buying channel. Its real rivals, such as Staples Business Advantage, Office Depot and Grainger, aren't measured the same way, so there's no competitor table either.

Switching is invisible for the same reason churn is low. An organisation that moves its supplies spend to another vendor has no reason to delete a TXT record, so the 107 exits since March could be lapsed accounts, retired domains or a tidy IT team.

"A verification record only comes down when someone cleans up DNS, so 107 exits in seven months tells you about housekeeping, not about whether buyers are leaving Amazon." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: if you compete with Amazon Business, don't hunt for churn here. Use the list to find organisations that already centralised their buying, then pitch on category depth or contract pricing.

The stack around it

Percentages here are of the 9,011 live domains in our clean set. Microsoft 365 handles mail on 46.78% and Google Workspace on 22.96%, which matters because Account Authority keys everything to the work email. A row our table labels Apple iCloud Mail sits at 45.76%, but that's mostly Apple's own domain-verification record, so read it as a second business account verified on the same domain rather than as mail. Salesforce runs on 6.92% and Zoho on 4.95%. On the website side WordPress builds 43.24% and Elementor 12.67%, and Google Analytics is on 63.31%.

Sales signal: identity vendors should lead with Microsoft. Amazon says single sign-on covers the users routed through a verified domain, and on these domains the mail tenant is Microsoft 365 about twice as often as Google Workspace. Sellers of other company-managed spend accounts, such as Uber for Business, are likely to find the same governance-minded buyer here.

Key takeaways

1. 8,962 domains carry an Amazon Business verification record in October 2026, a floor on accounts, with 7,645 matched to a company.

2. That's fewer than one in a thousand of the 11 million organisations Amazon says it serves; the record marks the ones that govern purchasing centrally.

3. A mid-market base: 36.23% of matched companies with a known headcount have 51 to 500 staff, and 42.54% were founded before 2000.

4. The United States holds 58.39% of matched companies, and Germany (807) is a clear second.

5. No share and no competitor table, and only 107 exits, because DNS records rarely come down.

How to use this list

Filter to the 51 to 500 band in the United States, Germany and the United Kingdom, then split by industry. A first line that works for a spend-management tool: "Your team verified its domain in Amazon Business, so you've already put rules around one supplier; here's how other contractors your size apply the same rules to the rest of their spend." That's a small, deliberate slice: only an administrator who verifies the company's email domain publishes the record, and three customers Amazon features in its stories don't.

What is Amazon Business's market share?

We don't publish one. Our records file Amazon Business under CRM, where its count would rank seventh, but it isn't CRM software: it's where an organisation buys supplies. Its real rivals are procurement and supply channels such as Staples Business Advantage, Office Depot and Grainger, so a CRM share would mean nothing. Treat 8,962 as an absolute count of verified domains.

Which countries use Amazon Business the most?

The United States, with 4,464 of the 7,645 companies we matched (58.39%). Germany is second with 807, then the United Kingdom (612), Canada (462), Italy (265), France (229), Spain (154) and Japan (110). Australia has only 21 and Mexico 15. These counts cover matched companies, not every domain that carries the Amazon Business record.

What size companies use Amazon Business?

Every size, with a heavy middle. 32.1% of matched companies with a known headcount have one to ten employees, 22.95% have 11 to 50 and 25.34% have 51 to 200, so 36.23% sit between 51 and 500 staff. Only 312 employ more than 1,000. That middle band is where centralising scattered purchasing starts to pay off.

How old are companies that use Amazon Business?

Established, mostly. The 2010s are the largest founding decade at 27.52%, yet 42.54% of matched companies with a known founding year (2,506 of 5,891) started before 2000 and 14.43% before 1960. Only 14.19% date from the 2020s. Councils, universities, contractors and churches all appear in our data, many of them far older than Amazon Business, which launched in 2015.

What is the ideal customer profile for Amazon Business?

The ideal Amazon Business customer is: Company Size: 1-10 (32.1%), then 51-200 (25.34%), Location: US, then Germany, UK, Canada, Industry: IT services, software, construction, Founded: 2010s (27.52%); 42.54% before 2000, Signal: Work email domain verified with Amazon — based on our analysis of 7,645 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

What are the best alternatives to Amazon Business?

For office and facilities supplies, buyers usually compare it with Staples Business Advantage, Office Depot and Grainger, and larger organisations often buy through a procurement suite that connects to several suppliers. We can't rank them against Amazon Business, because we don't measure them the way we measure this verification record, so the page carries no competitor table.

How much does an Amazon Business account cost?

Opening an account is free. Prime Business is the paid layer. On Amazon's US plans page, checked 11 October 2026, Duo is free with a personal Prime membership for sole proprietors, Essentials costs $179 a year for up to 5 users, Small $499 for up to 20, Medium $1,299 for up to 200 and Enterprise $10,099 for unlimited users.

Who qualifies for Amazon Business?

Amazon's plan list starts with Duo for sole proprietors and ends with Enterprise for complex organisations, so the account isn't limited to big companies. Our data agrees: 32.1% of matched organisations with a known headcount have ten or fewer staff, and the list includes non-profits, churches, a state governor's office and Portland State University alongside companies like Micron.

What's the difference between regular Amazon and Amazon Business?

Amazon Business adds tools for an organisation buying as a team: Guided Buying to steer staff to approved items, Spend Visibility reports, payment terms for eligible Prime Business members, and Account Authority, which brings every account on a verified company email domain under one official account. Account Authority is the step that publishes the DNS record we count on 8,962 domains.

Is there a downside to having an Amazon Business account?

The one Amazon itself names is sprawl. Its Account Authority page says purchasing scattered across ungoverned accounts costs visibility, control and savings, and that security controls like single sign-on don't reach those users. Verifying the company domain is its fix. In our data 8,962 domains have done that, a fraction of the 11 million organisations Amazon says it serves.

What is the amazon-business-verification TXT record?

It's the DNS record an Amazon Business administrator adds to prove the organisation owns its email domain, the first step of what Amazon calls Account Authority. Don't confuse it with the records Amazon SES asks for when a company sends email through AWS; that's a different product. Our October 2026 crawl finds this one on 8,962 domains, 7,645 of them matched to a company.

What industries use Amazon Business?

IT services lead at 9.08% of matched companies, plus 1.89% under LinkedIn's older Information Technology & Services label. Software development (5.88%), construction (3.96%), non-profits (3.78%), financial services (2.5%), hospitals and health care (2.46%) and religious institutions (1.94%) follow. The top ten make up 35.85%, so it's a horizontal list of organisations where many people order.

Do Fortune 100 companies use Amazon Business?

Amazon says 97 of the Fortune 100 do. Our record catches far fewer giants: only 29 matched companies with more than 10,000 staff publish it, including Micron, C.H. Robinson, QuikTrip and Huntington Ingalls Industries. A large company can buy through Amazon Business without verifying its domain, so the record shows the ones that brought every employee account under central control.

Is Amazon Business growing?

Amazon says Amazon Business passed $60 billion in annualised gross sales in Q2 2026 and added 1.8 million organisations in the first half of the year. Our count of verified domains rose from 7,087 in June to 8,962 in October, but the set of domains we crawl turns over every month and our detection widens, so that line can't measure adoption on its own.
