One mechanism, six vendors, a comparison that actually holds

KnowBe4 about 50%, HaveIBeenPwned 15%, Detectify 4.5%, Wiz 2.1%, AbuseIPDB 2.1%, SpyCloud 1.9%. Every one of those is matched on a vendor-specific TXT record, so no vendor gets an advantage from having more signatures than another. Most category rankings compare a product with fifteen detection clauses against one with a single script tag, and this one does not.

Movers

Very little moves, and two of the gains are not gains

KnowBe4 added roughly 1,200 domains over 90 days on a base of about 63,000, under 2%. Two smaller entries each added most of their footprint inside the window and are technologies entering our detection set. Vanta's 90-day gain, about 1,100, is close to two fifths of its base, and the latest 30 days added almost nothing to it, so it reads as a one-off jump rather than steady adoption.

Churn

Turnover of 1.5% is the instrument, not loyalty

A verification TXT record has no function once setup is done, and nothing prompts anyone to remove it when a contract ends. Inside this table the vendors matched on a TXT record lose about half a percent of their base a month or less, while eNamad, matched on a widget in the page, loses close to 5%. Treat every count here as verified-domain footprint and an upper bound on live deployments.

Two things in this table do not belong in it

eNamad at about 21% is an Iranian e-commerce trust seal, detected by a widget on the page, and it has little to do with security testing. Going the other way, the scanners a security team would actually name, Qualys and Tenable and Rapid7, are absent because they probe infrastructure from outside and leave nothing on a customer's website. What this category measures well is the compliance and awareness layer, which is a narrower thing than its name suggests.
