Companies Using Vanta

I'm David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io, and I run the detection rules this page is built on. Our September 2026 crawl finds Vanta on 2,754 domains, and 2,328 of them match a company record. Before any chart, one fact shapes everything else: we don't see Vanta's compliance product at all. We see the Vanta Trust Center, the public security page Vanta hosts on a customer's own subdomain. On September 24, 2026 I opened 14 of the named hosts, from trust.snowflake.com to compliance.imanage.com, and every one served Vanta's page.

Growth trajectory

We have two monthly readings: 1,936 in August 2026 and 2,754 in September. The jump comes from our side. We started matching Trust Center pages on August 5, so August is a partial month, and the set of domains we crawl turns over every month as dead sites fall out and new ones come in. What the September number does tell you is scale. Vanta says it has more than 16,000 customers, so at most about one in six publishes a Trust Center we can see.

The hostnames are consistent. 2,504 domains use a trust. subdomain, 132 use security., 45 trustcenter. and 24 compliance.; only 48 run it on the main site. That consistency matters for prospecting: a list built from this page is a list of companies that chose to publish their security posture.

Sales Signal: A company with a Vanta Trust Center has already passed an audit and is selling to buyers who ask for proof. That's a later, more mature stage than a company that has merely bought Vanta.

Customer profile

These are small, young software companies. Of 2,327 matched companies with a size on record, 37.17% have 11 to 50 employees and 33.3% have 1 to 10. Only 31 exceed 1,000 staff and none exceeds 10,000. On age, 84.26% of those with a founding year started in 2010 or later, and firms founded before 2000 are 5.55%.

The named list runs larger than the base because it leads with recognisable names. Snowflake, Uber Freight, Verint and DocGo are the only four companies in the 5,001 to 10,000 band, and Anthropic, Intercom, Canonical and Checkout.com sit well above the median. For them the Trust Center is a sales tool that saves a security team from answering the same questionnaire every week.

Sales Signal: The core buyer is an 11 to 50 person software company that has just closed its first enterprise customers. It has a compliance tool and a public page, and it probably has no dedicated security hire yet.

Industry and geographic concentration

Software Development is 44.34% of matched companies, and with Technology, Information and Internet (15.5%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (6.76%) the tech rows reach 66.6%. Financial Services (5.9%) and Hospitals and Health Care (2.97%) are the first regulated sectors. Geography is concentrated in English-speaking markets. The United States has 1,357 matched companies, the UK 159, Australia 132 and Canada 113, so those four hold 1,761 of 2,328. Germany, France and the Netherlands add 159 between them.

Sales Signal: Per head of population, Australia's 132 companies outpace even the US, and they come close to the UK's 159 in absolute terms. If you sell security or compliance services to software firms, it's an underworked region.

Why there is no migration table

We don't publish one because there's almost nothing to publish. Only 4 domains have dropped Vanta since we began tracking it in August 2026, and a handful of domains replaced a SafeBase page with a Vanta one in the same weeks, too few to call a trend. A hosted Trust Center costs its owner nothing to leave up, so it outlives most decisions, and the churn count follows from that.

The rivalry is still measurable in levels. SafeBase runs on 1,039 domains and Drata's own Trust Center on 163. Drata agreed to buy SafeBase in February 2025, so both belong to one company now, and even added together they reach 1,202 against Vanta's 2,754.

Sales Signal: Switching is rare and slow, so don't prospect on churn. Prospect on the renewal cycle of the audit itself, which usually runs yearly.

Technology ecosystem

The first co-occurrence table we built was useless. Datadog, Merge, Statsig and styled-components each appeared on more than 99% of Vanta detection hosts, because Vanta ships them inside the Trust Center. That table described Vanta's own engineering stack, and it's the reason Vanta reads so high on our Merge profile. So the stack on this page is measured on each company's apex or www host instead, across 2,769 live domains.

On those main sites, HubSpot leads at 53.09%. Webflow (21.63%) beats WordPress (16.5%), and Framer adds 8.13%. Atlassian appears on 28.71%, a verified account read from a DNS record. ZoomInfo is on 6.18% and Salesforce's Pardot on 5.42%.

Sales Signal: HubSpot at 53.09% against Pardot at 5.42% says the marketing team is small and runs on HubSpot. Integrations aimed at HubSpot reach more of this base than anything built for Salesforce marketing tools.

G2 review signals

Vanta's G2 profile is large and positive. Ease of use leads at 675 mentions, and reviewers credit it with turning the SOC 2 process into something that helps sales (523). The cons are integration gaps, 179 and 149 mentions across two themes, and price, 146 and 145, where reviewers say the cost falls hardest on small and solo businesses.

Our data supports the price complaint without proving it. Seven in ten matched Trust Center companies have 50 staff or fewer, the kind of buyer who feels a compliance bill most. The integration complaint is harder to test from outside, since Vanta's integrations run between back-office systems a crawler never sees.

Sales Signal: For small software companies, cost is the opening. A cheaper audit path, or a service that uses Vanta better, meets a complaint these buyers already make in public.
