Companies Using Leadfeeder

We detect Leadfeeder on 36,312 domains, third in the Visitor Identification category at 12.57%. Of the three technologies in this category we profiled together, it is the only one that does what the category name says: it resolves a visitor's IP to a company and hands that to a sales team.

That difference shows up everywhere in the data below. Leadfeeder's users are bigger, older, more concentrated in B2B services, and they churn at a third of the rate the IP-lookup APIs do.

Leadfeeder Usage Statistics

Our current crawl window covers June to August 2026: 31,636 → 35,402 → 36,312. The June to July step is 11.9% and coincides with our corpus expanding; the July to August step of about 910 domains is the one to quote. 5,210 domains have dropped Leadfeeder since we began tracking it in March 2026, about 14% of the active base. Hold that number against the IP-lookup APIs in this category, which sit at 32% and 36%.

There are 36,312 companies and domains where we detect Leadfeeder, sign up to download the entire Leadfeeder dataset.

Accenture matches on accenture.com itself, Unilever on www.unilever.com, Vodafone on www.foundation.vodafone.com, Honeywell on investor.honeywell.com, Lowe's on corporate.lowes.com. Several of these are the main corporate domain rather than a satellite, which is unusual in our data and consistent with the product: the tracker goes where the marketing traffic is, and for a B2B company that is the front door.

Which Countries Use Leadfeeder the Most?

The United States leads with 8,581 of the companies we can place, then the United Kingdom (3,250), Germany (1,735), the Netherlands (1,715) and Finland at 1,405. Finland in fifth place, from a country of about 5.5 million people, is the clearest home-market signal we have seen in this category: Leadfeeder was founded in Helsinki and the density around it never went away.

Leadfeeder Market Share Among Visitor Identification

Leadfeeder is third in Visitor Identification at 12.57%. The category mixes three unrelated businesses, and Leadfeeder is the one that matches the category's name: it resolves a visitor's IP to a company for a sales team, where ipapi.co and ip-api return a location and FingerprintJS returns a device signature. Its real competitors are Zoominfo (29,253), Leadinfo (23,134) and Lead Forensics (4,679). Our category listing pages at 50 rows, so we give the rank without a total.

Top Competitors by Market Share

Leadfeeder Customers by Company Size & Age

This is the one technology in this category where 11 to 50 employees is the largest bucket at 37.96%, ahead of 1 to 10 at 34.24%, with 51 to 200 on 18.01%. Everything else we profiled here is dominated by the smallest band. A tool that feeds a sales team needs a sales team, and that is a real floor on company size that a free geolocation API does not have.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

39.61% were founded in the 2010s, 19.23% in the 2000s and 15.64% in the 2020s. Older than the IP-lookup tools in this category, which fits: this is bought by established B2B companies with an outbound motion rather than added to a new site by a developer.

What Industries Use Leadfeeder the Most?

IT Services and IT Consulting at 11.56% and Software Development at 11.11% lead, with Advertising Services at 7.57% and Business Consulting at 4.46%. That is nearly a third of the base in B2B services, which is the sharpest and most coherent industry signal in this category.

IT Services and IT Consulting3,246 (11.56%)
Software Development3,119 (11.11%)
Advertising Services2,125 (7.57%)
Business Consulting and Services1,253 (4.46%)
Technology, Information and Internet1,074 (3.82%)
Information Technology & Services739 (2.63%)

Compare the two IP-lookup APIs on this same page, where no industry clears 7% and the spread is flat. That contrast is the point: a general-purpose developer API lands everywhere, while a tool that identifies companies visiting your site is bought by firms that sell to companies. The industry column here is telling you about the buyer rather than about a platform.

Leadfeeder Alternatives & Competitors

Zoominfo (29,253 domains), Leadinfo (23,134) and Lead Forensics (4,679) are the direct comparisons. Treat Zoominfo's recent movement with care: it added about 20,000 domains over a quarter on a base of 29,000, which is the shape of a second detection clause starting to match rather than a quarter of real growth. ipapi.co and ip-api sit in the same category but sell a location lookup, not a company match.

Expert Analysis: Leadfeeder Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

I run marketing at TechnologyChecker and spend most of my time on how B2B teams find buyers, so Leadfeeder is a product I have opinions about and now have data on. We detect it on 36,312 active domains across 29,097 enriched companies as of our August 2026 crawl, third in its category at 12.57%.

1. It is the only thing in this category that matches the category name

Visitor Identification bundles three different businesses. FingerprintJS identifies a browser. ipapi.co and ip-api return a location. Leadfeeder resolves a visitor's IP to a company and tells a sales team which pages that company read. Those are three products with three buyers, and only the third is what most people mean when they say visitor identification.

2. The company-size column is the tell

This is the only technology on these three pages where 11 to 50 employees is the largest band, at 37.96%, ahead of 1 to 10 at 34.24%, with 51 to 200 on 18.01%. Everything else in this category is dominated by the smallest band because a free API has no floor.

Leadfeeder does. The output of the product is a list of companies that visited your website, and that list is worthless without somebody to call them. A tool that feeds a sales team needs a sales team, and that requirement shows up as a real minimum company size in our data.

3. Finland at 1,405, from a country of five and a half million

The United States leads at 8,581 companies, then the United Kingdom (3,250), Germany (1,735), the Netherlands (1,715) and Finland (1,405). Leadfeeder was founded in Helsinki, and fifth place from that population is the strongest home-market concentration I have seen in this category. The Echobot merger in 2022 explains Germany sitting third alongside it: the combined company is a European one, and its footprint still looks European.

4. The buyers are visible in the industry column, not a platform

IT Services and IT Consulting at 11.56%, Software Development at 11.11%, Advertising Services at 7.57%, Business Consulting at 4.46%. Nearly a third of the base sells to other businesses.

Compare the two IP-lookup APIs in this same category, where no industry clears 7% and the spread is flat. When a technology's top industry is several times the second, that is usually one hosted platform's fleet showing through. Here it is not a fleet, it is a market. Companies that sell to companies buy a tool that tells them which companies came to their website.

5. The stack confirms the motion

Google Tag Manager on 88.82% and Google Analytics on 85.59%, the highest analytics coverage in this category. Then WordPress 49.02%, LinkedIn Insight Tag 41.49%, Microsoft 365 36.24%, HubSpot 26.12%. That LinkedIn share matters: four in ten of these companies are already running account-based advertising, so Leadfeeder is not the first thing they bought, it is the measurement layer on top of a motion they already have.

"If four in ten of a product's customers already run the LinkedIn Insight Tag, you are not selling them a new idea. You are selling attribution for a budget they are already spending." - Elif Arslan, CMO at TechnologyChecker.io

6. Nobody switches, and the churn rate is a third of its neighbours'

5,210 domains have dropped Leadfeeder since March 2026, about 14% of the base, against 32% for ipapi.co and 36% for ip-api. A paid tool wired into a sales workflow does not come off the way a free API call does.

And the leavers do not reappear on a competitor. Of the 4,534 domains that dropped it entirely, 80 now run Leadinfo (1.76% against a 4.29% base rate), 74 run Zoominfo (1.63% against 4.71%), 40 run ip-api (0.88% against 2.15%). Every destination is well below its base rate, so a departing domain is less likely to run a rival than one that stayed. The competitive question in this market is not which vendor, it is whether the motion survives at all.

7. One number on a competitor to treat carefully

Zoominfo shows about 20,000 domains added over a quarter on a base of 29,000. A step of two thirds of a footprint inside one window is the signature of a second detection clause starting to match, not a quarter of real growth. If you are comparing vendors on momentum, exclude it until a second window confirms it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Leadfeeder?

We detect Leadfeeder on 36,312 domains, including Accenture PLC, Vodafone, Unilever PLC. A detection means the technology is present on that domain, which for large organisations is often a single storefront or subdomain rather than a company-wide deployment. Among domains we matched to a company with a resolved industry, the most common is IT Services and IT Consulting (11.56%).

How many customers does Leadfeeder have?

We detect 36,312 domains running Leadfeeder across our monthly crawl of live business domains. Company data could be matched for 29,097 of them (80.1%), and every company-size, industry and country breakdown on this page describes that matched subset rather than the full detected base. A further 5,210 domains carried a Leadfeeder detection previously and no longer do.

What is Leadfeeder's market share?

Leadfeeder holds 12.57% of the Visitor Identification category, ranking #3. This is a share of the domains we detect running a platform in this category — not a share of all websites, and not a share of spending — so it is not directly comparable to figures published on other denominators.

What are the best alternatives to Leadfeeder?

The top alternatives to Leadfeeder include FingerprintJS (25.81% market share), ipapi.co (14.42% market share), ip-api (10.27% market share), Zoominfo (10.13% market share) — measured as a share of the domains we detect running a platform in this category.

Which countries use Leadfeeder the most?

The United States at 8,581 of the companies we can place, then the United Kingdom (3,250), Germany (1,735), the Netherlands (1,715) and Finland at 1,405. Finland in fifth from a population of about 5.5 million is the strongest home-market concentration in this category, and Leadfeeder was founded in Helsinki.

What size companies use Leadfeeder?

The most common company size is 11-50 employees, representing 37.96% of the Leadfeeder domains we could match to a company record and size — a subset of 29,097 matched companies, not of all 36,312 detected domains. This is followed by 1-10 employees (34.24%) and 51-200 employees (18.01%).

How old are companies that use Leadfeeder?

Among the Leadfeeder domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, most were founded in the 2020s (15.64%), followed by the 2010s (39.61%). That matched subset is drawn from 29,097 companies and is not representative of all 36,312 detected domains. This suggests Leadfeeder is most popular among relatively young companies.

What is the ideal customer profile for Leadfeeder?

The ideal Leadfeeder customer is: Company Size: 11-50 employees, Industry: B2B software and agencies, Location: US, UK, Germany or the Nordics, Founded: 2000-2019, Stack: LinkedIn Insight Tag and a CRM — based on our analysis of 29,097 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

How many websites use Leadfeeder?

We detect Leadfeeder on 36,312 active domains as of our August 2026 crawl, third in the Visitor Identification category at 12.57%. We match it on its tracker script from leadfeeder.com or sc.lfeeder.com, its ldfdr.getTracker global, or a content-security-policy header naming the domain.

Who owns Leadfeeder?

Dealfront Group GmbH. Leadfeeder, founded in Helsinki, merged with the German data company Echobot in 2022 in a deal backed by a €180m investment from Great Hill Partners. The combined business launched as Dealfront in April 2023 and has since folded that brand back into the Leadfeeder name, which is why the site reads "Dealfront is now Leadfeeder".

What does Leadfeeder actually do?

It reverse-resolves the IP address of a website visitor to a company and reports which pages that company looked at, so a sales team can follow up. That is different from the IP geolocation tools in the same category, which return a location and nothing about identity, and different again from device fingerprinting, which identifies a browser rather than an organisation.

Is Leadfeeder free?

There is a free tier with a 7-day lead history and no integrations, and a 14-day trial on the paid plans. The free tier is deliberately narrow, and the company-size data shows it: 11 to 50 employees is the largest band at 37.96%, the only technology in this category not dominated by companies under 10. A tool that feeds a sales team needs a sales team.

What industries use Leadfeeder?

B2B services, heavily. IT Services and IT Consulting at 11.56% and Software Development at 11.11%, then Advertising Services (7.57%) and Business Consulting (4.46%) — close to a third of the base. Compare the IP-lookup tools in the same category, where no industry clears 7%: this column is telling you who buys the product rather than which platform bundled it.

Leadfeeder vs Zoominfo vs Leadinfo?

By footprint in our data: Leadfeeder 36,312 domains, Zoominfo 29,253, Leadinfo 23,134, Lead Forensics 4,679. One caution on Zoominfo: it added roughly 20,000 domains over a quarter on a base of 29,000, which is the signature of a second detection clause starting to match rather than a quarter of genuine growth, so do not read its trend as momentum.

Do companies switch away from Leadfeeder?

Not to a rival. Of the 4,534 domains that dropped Leadfeeder entirely, 80 now run Leadinfo (1.76%, against a 4.29% rate among domains that kept Leadfeeder), 74 run Zoominfo (1.63% against 4.71%) and 40 run ip-api (0.88% against 2.15%). Every destination is well below its base rate, so a leaver is less likely to be on a competitor than a stayer. They stop, they do not switch.

What else do Leadfeeder customers run?

A B2B marketing stack. Google Tag Manager on 88.82% and Google Analytics on 85.59% (the highest analytics coverage in this category), then WordPress 49.02%, LinkedIn Insight Tag 41.49%, Microsoft 365 36.24%, Facebook Pixel 30.49%, HubSpot 26.12% and Google Workspace 24.96%. The LinkedIn Insight share says these companies are already running account-based advertising.

How sticky is Leadfeeder?

Much stickier than the rest of this category. 5,210 domains have dropped it since March 2026, about 14% of the active base, against 32% for ipapi.co and 36% for ip-api. A paid tool wired into a sales workflow does not come off as easily as a free API call.
