Companies Using Click Guardian

Click Guardian is click-fraud protection for Google Ads, not a retargeting tool. A script on the advertiser's site logs each visit from an ad, and when a click looks fraudulent the visitor's IP address goes into the campaign's exclusion list, as the vendor's how-it-works page explains. Our October 2026 crawl finds that script on 1,318 domains, 823 of them matched to a company. Below is the list of companies that use Click Guardian, with size, country, industry and stack; it includes Childrensalon, Myerson Solicitors, B P Collins, Auto-Trail and The Knickerbocker hotel in New York.

The buyers are small and mostly British: 544 matched companies are in the United Kingdom and 180 in the United States, and 62.15% have ten staff or fewer. Our catalog files Click Guardian under Retargeting & Remarketing, where it ranks 10th with a 1.25% share, but that table sets it against ad-retargeting tags. Its real competitors are click-fraud blockers such as ClickCease and Fraud Blocker.

Click Guardian Usage Statistics

Our chart starts in August 2026, when we began tracking Click Guardian: 970 domains that month, 1,293 in September and 1,318 in October. Don't read the jump as sales. The domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection widens as we go, so the step from August mostly reflects our side. Exits are easier to count: 118 domains dropped it on at least one hostname since 4 August 2026, and when we checked, 35 of those still ran it on another hostname.

Click Guardian Market Share Among Retargeting & Remarketing

What is Click Guardian's market share? 1.25% of Retargeting & Remarketing, 10th in the category, counting 1,318 domains at TechnologyChecker.io. That share compares unlike products: RTB House (49,530 domains, 47.03%) and Seznam Sklik (14,269, 13.55%) show ads to past visitors, while Click Guardian keeps suspected fraudulent clickers away from an advertiser's Google Ads. Among click-fraud tools our profiles count ClickCease on 33,001 domains, Fraud Blocker on 5,113 and ClickGUARD on 1,471, so Click Guardian sits in ClickGUARD's size band.

Click Guardian Customers by Company Size & Age

Is Click Guardian only for small businesses? In practice, mostly: 62.15% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff and another 28.55% have 11 to 50, so 90.7% have 50 or fewer among the 753 with a known size. Only 14 have more than 200. That fits the entry plan, which covers one website and up to £5,000 of monthly ad spend.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

Click Guardian buyers are established small firms more than start-ups: 40.18% were founded in the 2010s and 26.34% in the 2000s, while 10.71% date from the 2020s, among 448 companies with a founding year. Firms founded before 2000 add up to 22.77%, so the typical buyer has been trading for ten to twenty years.

What Industries Use Click Guardian the Most?

Retail leads at 10.51%, followed by Construction (5.84%) and Hospitality (2.63%). Law is bigger than either row suggests: Legal Services and Law Practice are separate rows at 1.9% each, 3.8% together, which would put law firms third. No industry reaches 11%, so Click Guardian sells across businesses that pay per click rather than into one vertical, based on our enriched company data.

Construction40 (5.84%)
Hospitality18 (2.63%)
Wholesale16 (2.34%)

Retail brands using Click Guardian range from Childrensalon, the children's fashion retailer, to Berry's Jewellers in Leeds. Law firms using Click Guardian include Myerson Solicitors, B P Collins and Vardags, and hotels on Click Guardian include The Knickerbocker and the Royalton in New York. Trades and construction firms fill much of the long tail, some with a separate site for each town they serve.

Click Guardian Alternatives & Competitors

Expert Analysis: Click Guardian Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Elif Arslan
Elif ArslanCMO & Co-founder, TechnologyChecker

Our catalog files Click Guardian under retargeting, and that is wrong. Know it before you build a list from this page. Retargeting tools show ads to people who already visited. Click Guardian does something else: it watches the clicks a business pays Google for and, when a click looks fraudulent, adds the clicker's IP address to the campaign's exclusion list, as its how-it-works page describes. Our October 2026 crawl finds its script on 1,318 domains, and we matched 823 of them to a company. Before writing I fetched every homepage on the list, read the site key wherever the source shows it, and loaded 60 random sites in a browser.

What the script tells us, and what it can't

Each install carries a short site key in a variable called _cgk, usually placed through Google Tag Manager. Where the key was readable in the page source (186 sites), it sat on 142 different keys, and the shared ones belong to one business with several domains: a sail-tent maker with four, a group of Essex locksmiths with five, an insurance broker with six. A handful of keys span two or three unrelated businesses, probably an agency's shared setup, but no key covers more than six domains, so no agency or platform account distorts the count.

Whether those accounts still pay is harder. Click Guardian's tracking endpoint gives the same empty reply to any key, including a made-up one, so a lapsed subscription and a paying one look identical from outside. What I could test is that the script still runs. In the random sample of 60, 52 loaded it with a site key and fired the page-view call, 5 no longer showed it and 3 didn't open.

Sales signal: treat the list as businesses that installed click protection and still carry it, not as a verified customer roster. The key is the useful field: one key across several domains is one buyer.

Three readings, not a trend

We began tracking Click Guardian on 4 August 2026, so the chart has three points: 970 domains in August, 1,293 in September and 1,318 in October. The domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and newly found ones in, and our detection widens as we go. Exits are a cleaner signal. 118 domains dropped it on at least one hostname since August, and 35 of those still ran it on another hostname when I checked, which leaves 83 domains that removed it everywhere we look, in about ten weeks.

"Click Guardian sits in our retargeting table, but its buyers want one thing: to stop paying for clicks that never turn into customers." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: don't pitch growth from the chart. The removals are the better prompt, because a firm that took click protection off its site has switched tools, solved the problem or given up on paid search.

Small British firms that pay per click

The customer is small. Of 753 matched companies with a known size, 62.15% have 1 to 10 staff and 28.55% have 11 to 50, so 90.7% have 50 or fewer, and only 14 have more than 200. They aren't new, either: 40.18% were founded in the 2010s and 26.34% in the 2000s, with only 10.71% from the 2020s. The pricing fits that buyer. ClickGuardian's pricing page starts at £39 ($49) a month for one website and up to £5,000 of monthly ad spend, and runs to £299 for the Scale plan.

The named users I checked on their own sites show the range: Childrensalon, the children's fashion retailer; law firms Myerson Solicitors, B P Collins and Vardags; Auto-Trail, the motorhome maker; Cezanne HR; and hotels including The Knickerbocker in New York. The vendor publishes no customer list I could cross-check, so these names rest on our detections alone.

Sales signal: these are owner-run or small-team marketing departments that run their own Google Ads. They buy tools that protect spend they can see on a credit-card statement, so savings framed in pounds per month land better than fraud statistics.

Retail, trades, law and hotels

Geography is the clearest pattern on the page. 544 matched companies are British against 180 in the United States, about three to one, with Ireland (26) and Canada (23) next and no other country above ten. Industry is spread out: Retail leads at 10.51%, Construction follows at 5.84% and Hospitality at 2.63%. Law firms appear under two LinkedIn labels, Legal Services and Law Practice, at 1.9% each; together they make 3.8%, enough for third place.

Sales signal: the US base is real but thin, 180 companies, and five of the US firms in our top 50 are hotels. For a UK seller, filter to legal, trades and retail; for a US seller, hospitality is the most concentrated pocket.

Filed with retargeting, competing with fraud tools

We have no switching data for Click Guardian yet. Our category table compares it with RTB House (49,530 domains), Seznam Sklik (14,269) and Albacross (4,441), and none of them does its job. Its working rivals are click-fraud tools, and our profiles size them: ClickCease on 33,001 domains, Fraud Blocker on 5,113, Spider AF on 1,594, ClickGUARD on 1,471 and Fraud0 on 543. Click Guardian, at 1,318, is a small specialist next to ClickCease. The overlap is tiny. Of its domains, 16 also run ClickCease, 2 run Fraud Blocker and 1 runs ClickGUARD.

"Sites rarely run two click-fraud tools. If you sell against Click Guardian, plan to replace it." - Elif Arslan, CMO & Co-founder at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: competitors win these accounts at renewal. A rival with Microsoft Ads coverage on its entry plan has a concrete wedge, because Click Guardian lists Microsoft Ads only from its Growth plan.

The stack around it

Shares here are of Click Guardian's domains in our October 2026 crawl. Google Analytics runs on 97.28%. The ad tags show what these sites are protecting: DoubleClick Floodlight on 45.06% and Microsoft Advertising on 38.94%, with Pinterest Ads on 9.51%. WordPress (39.09%) and Shopify (36.75%) are the main platforms, with WooCommerce on 13.06% and Elementor on 12%. Consent is fragmented: iubenda (10.64%) and CookieYes (9.89%) lead, and no banner covers more than about one site in ten.

Sales signal: about four in ten of these sites carry Microsoft Advertising's tag as well as Google's. Vendors of bid management, call tracking or landing-page tools can open with that two-network spend.

What the vendor says, and what we see

ClickGuardian's site says it protects 2,000+ businesses. Our 1,318 domains and 823 matched companies are lower, and both can be right: a customer can protect an ad account on landing pages our crawler doesn't reach, and some of our domains share one buyer. What our data adds is the shape: British, small and established.

Sales signal: quote the vendor's figure as a claim and ours as an observation. Mixing the two is the quickest way to lose a careful buyer.

Key takeaways

  1. Click Guardian is click-fraud protection for Google Ads, filed in our retargeting category by mistake; compare it with ClickCease, Fraud Blocker and ClickGUARD.
  2. 1,318 domains in our October 2026 crawl, 823 matched companies, 62.15% with ten staff or fewer.
  3. The United Kingdom has 544 matched companies, three times the United States.
  4. Paying status can't be read from outside; 52 of 60 sampled sites still load the script with a key.
  5. Microsoft Advertising sits on 38.94% of its domains, a gap for its entry plans.

How to use this list

Outreach template: "Your site runs Click Guardian, so you're already paying to protect Google Ads spend. About four in ten sites like yours also carry Microsoft Advertising's tag. Is that spend protected too?"

Targeting: filter for UK companies with 1 to 50 staff in legal, construction or retail, and group domains by site key so each business gets one email.

What is Click Guardian?

Click Guardian, now branded ClickGuardian on clickguardian.ai, is click-fraud protection for Google Ads. A tracking script on the advertiser's site logs each visit from an ad, and visitors judged fraudulent have their IP addresses added to the campaign's exclusion list. It is a different company from ClickGUARD, which has its own page here, and unrelated to an open-source project called click-guardian.

How does Click Guardian stop fake clicks on Google Ads?

Per the vendor's how-it-works page, its script records each ad visitor's IP address, device and network, runs the click through the advertiser's own rules and a fraud check, and then inserts the IP address into the Google Ads campaign's exclusion list so that visitor stops seeing the ads. The page names device fingerprinting and VPN, Tor and proxy detection among its checks.

How much does Click Guardian cost?

ClickGuardian's pricing page lists Starter at £39 ($49) a month for one website and up to £5,000 of monthly ad spend, then Professional at £79, Growth at £149 and Scale at £299, with custom plans from £499. Every plan monitors unlimited clicks and starts with a seven-day free trial. Microsoft Ads protection is listed on the Growth plan, not on Starter or Professional.

Is Click Guardian a retargeting tool?

No. Our catalog files it under Retargeting & Remarketing, which is why it appears in that table, but its script exists to keep fraudulent clickers away from your ads, not to show ads to past visitors. A fairer comparison is our fraud-prevention category, where ClickCease, Fraud Blocker and ClickGUARD sit. We show the filing as it is rather than quietly moving it.

Does Click Guardian work with Microsoft Ads?

The vendor lists Microsoft Ads as supported, though its pricing page shows it from the Growth plan up, and Meta support is marked as coming soon. Our crawl shows why buyers ask: 38.94% of Click Guardian's domains also carry Microsoft Advertising's tag, and 45.06% carry DoubleClick Floodlight, so many of these sites buy ads on more than one network.

Can you tell if a site's Click Guardian account is still active?

Not from outside. Its tracking endpoint gives the same answer for any key, including a made-up one, so a lapsed subscription looks like a paying one. What we can check is that the script runs: in a random sample of 60 domains, 52 loaded it with a site key, 5 no longer showed it and 3 failed to open.

Which tools do Click Guardian sites run alongside it?

Google Analytics is on 97.28% of Click Guardian's domains. WordPress runs on 39.09% and Shopify on 36.75%, with WooCommerce on 13.06% and Elementor on 12%. Beyond Google's tags, Microsoft Advertising appears on 38.94% and Pinterest Ads on 9.51%. For consent banners, iubenda (10.64%) and CookieYes (9.89%) lead the list.
