Companies Using Wufoo
Wufoo, SurveyMonkey's form builder, runs mostly on small, older American websites. Our September 2026 crawl finds a Wufoo form on or linked from 4,087 websites: Thiel College takes tuition deposits through one, and the Free Methodist Church USA takes ordination applications. About half the sites embed the form, and 38.7% link to their own form hosted on Wufoo. We count those links because the hosted form is the product in use.
Wufoo ranks #8 of 64 in Surveys & Feedback with a 1.76% share, but that table mixes form builders with feedback tools such as Qualtrics, so the rank says little. Of the 2,902 companies that use Wufoo we could match, 2,239 are in the US and 11.56% were founded before 1960, and 87.31% of those with a known size have 50 or fewer staff. Below is the full list of Wufoo customers by size, country and industry.

Wufoo Usage Statistics
Don't read the jump in this chart as a comeback. Until August 4, 2026 we detected Wufoo only through links to hosted forms; from that date we also detect its embed script, and the count went from 1,810 in July to 3,487 in August and 4,087 in September. 58.24% of today's Wufoo domains were first seen in August or September. The set of domains we crawl also turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, so the step reflects changes on our side, not a surge in adoption. Since we began tracking Wufoo in March 2026, 426 domains dropped it.

Which Countries Use Wufoo the Most?
Which countries use Wufoo the most? The United States, with 2,239 matched companies, more than 15 times the UK (145). Canada (107) and Australia (67) come next, and Germany, the largest market outside the English-speaking world, has 27. Add New Zealand and Ireland (13 each) and English-speaking countries account for 2,584 of the 2,902 companies we matched.
Share of the 2,902 Wufoo domains we matched to a company record — 71.0% of the 4,087 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Wufoo Market Share Among Surveys & Feedback
What is Wufoo's market share? Wufoo holds 1.76% of Surveys & Feedback and ranks #8 of 64, based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. We wouldn't lean on that rank. The category puts a WordPress form plugin, Formidable Forms (93,816 domains), next to feedback and research platforms such as Qualtrics and Medallia, which few buyers weigh against Wufoo. The fair comparisons sit in two categories: Typeform (10,433) and Tally (11,796) are in this one, while Jotform and Google Forms are filed under Form Builders.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Wufoo Customers by Company Size & Age
Is Wufoo for small businesses? Mostly. Of matched companies with a size on record, 62.74% have 1 to 10 employees and 24.57% have 11 to 50, so 87.31% have 50 or fewer. Picture a roofing contractor's quote request or a parish's event sign-up. The larger names use Wufoo for one job on one page: Patagonia's dealer site links to a Patagonia Provisions form, and Windermere Real Estate collects consumer feedback through one.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
This is an old base. 11.56% of matched Wufoo companies with a founding year date from before 1960, many of them churches, colleges and associations, and 42.11% were founded before 2000. Only 5.86% started in the 2020s. On Tally's profile, half the matched companies (50.87%) were founded in the 2020s. Wufoo's customers look like organisations that set up their forms years ago and kept them.
What Industries Use Wufoo the Most?
Construction leads at only 6.05%, then Real Estate (3.34%), Non-profit Organizations (3.30%), Insurance (3.17%) and Religious Institutions (3.09%), per our enriched company data. None of these buys forms as a category. Each needs one awkward form, a quote request or an application, and a hosted Wufoo form puts it online with little work on the website itself.
Churches using Wufoo include Summit Church in Orlando, and the Free Methodist Church USA takes ordination applications on a Wufoo form. Colleges on Wufoo include Bethel University, East Central University and Thiel College. Non-profits using Wufoo lean on it for intake: Resources for Autism links its referral form, and Arc Herkimer in New York its donation form.
Wufoo Alternatives & Competitors
The competitor table lists the five largest other rows in Surveys & Feedback, based on our market share data at TechnologyChecker.io: Formidable Forms (93,816 domains), Qualtrics (21,686), Feedback Company (17,998), Medallia (17,765) and Tally (11,796). Only Formidable Forms and Tally build forms the way Wufoo does, and Formidable runs inside WordPress. The comparisons people search for are Jotform, Google Forms and Typeform, and those almost never share a site with Wufoo: of 4,159 live Wufoo domains, fewer than three also load Jotform, 6 load Google Forms and 12 load Typeform.

The telling rows are the other form tools: Contact Form 7 is on 7.38% of these sites, Gravity Forms on 1.39% and WPForms on 0.91%. That's 307 sites running Contact Form 7 beside Wufoo, against fewer than three running Jotform. Google Analytics is on 68.84% and HubSpot on 1.88%.

How We Counted Wufoo Customers
A website counts here if it loads Wufoo's embed script or links, in a new tab, to a hosted form at an address like account.wufoo.com/forms/. The link counts because it's how many organisations use Wufoo: the form lives on Wufoo under their own account and the site points to it, the way a hotel's Book Now button opens its booking engine. In September 2026 we read the raw HTML of all 4,159 live Wufoo domains. Of the 4,013 that returned a page, 2,014 (50.2%) embedded a form, 1,554 (38.7%) only linked to a hosted one, 25 carried some other Wufoo reference and 420 (10.5%) built the page in JavaScript. In a browser, 21 of 23 reachable pages from a sample of 28 showed Wufoo.
Whose form is it? The link-only pages point at 1,250 Wufoo accounts across 1,548 domains. On 778 of those domains the account is named after the site; most of the rest belong to the site's web agency or parent organisation, or use an abbreviation. Reading 25 mismatches by hand, about seven linked to a form that belongs to a different organisation, such as a brewers' trade association's nomination form on a homebrew shop's site. That puts roughly 6% of the count on other organisations' forms. We disclose it rather than cut it, and those sites are kept out of the named company list.
The chart's step is on our side. Before August 4, 2026 we detected Wufoo only through links; the embed script was added then, which is most of the move from 1,810 domains in July to 3,487 in August. The rest is the monthly turnover in the domains we crawl, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added. Domains aren't accounts either: where we can read the account, 2,044 domains resolve to 1,027 accounts, about two each, and the largest, a merchant-services agent network, covers 70. In a sample of 200 sites, 15.4% redirected to another Wufoo site in the count. The count is also a floor, because links that open in the same tab and embeds that use only an iframe aren't counted. Wufoo is filed in our Surveys & Feedback table, and every chart and table on this page uses the same 4,087 sites. Our guide to technology detection methods explains how a link or a script becomes a detection.
Expert Analysis: Wufoo Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I'm Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io. I've written up Typeform and Tally for this site, and Wufoo is a different animal: an older form builder with an older customer base. Our September 2026 crawl finds a Wufoo form on or linked from 4,087 websites, and 2,902 of them match a company record. Wufoo's homepage says it's trusted by more than 3 million users. A form shared only by email or social media never reaches a website we crawl, so the two numbers measure different things. Our guide to technology detection methods explains how a link or a script becomes a detection.
What the count is
Two kinds of site count here. 50.2% of the sites we could load embed a Wufoo form. 38.7% link to their own form hosted at an address like thielcollege.wufoo.com, and we count those because the hosted form is the product in use. The link rule does catch some forms that belong to someone else. On 778 of the 1,548 link-only domains the Wufoo account is named after the site, and most of the rest are the site's agency or parent body. A hand check puts forms that belong to another organisation at about 6% of the total.
Growth trajectory
There isn't one to report. The chart nearly doubles between July (1,810) and August (3,487) because on August 4, 2026 we began detecting Wufoo's embed script as well as its links. The set of domains we crawl also turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones found. So 58.24% of today's Wufoo domains being first seen in August or September is our coverage, not a revival. Since March 2026, 426 domains dropped Wufoo.
"The August line looks like a comeback. It's us learning to see Wufoo's embeds. The customers underneath didn't change." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: Treat 4,087 as the baseline for a settled installed base. Give the new detection a few months before calling any movement growth or decline.
Customer profile
Of matched companies with a size on record, 62.74% have 1 to 10 employees and 87.31% have 50 or fewer. The age table stands out. 11.56% were founded before 1960 and 42.11% before 2000, while only 5.86% started in the 2020s. On Tally's profile, half the matched companies (50.87%) were founded in the 2020s.
The named users show what Wufoo does for them. Thiel College takes tuition deposits through it, the Free Methodist Church USA takes ordination applications, Windermere Real Estate collects consumer feedback, and Patagonia's dealer site links to a form run by Patagonia Provisions. Each is one specific form, not a site's whole data collection.
Sales Signal: These are colleges, churches, associations and small firms that chose a tool once and rarely revisit it. A pitch has to beat inertia, so show how the old entries come across and how long the move takes.
Industry and geographic concentration
The United States accounts for 2,239 matched companies, more than 15 times the UK (145), and English-speaking countries make up 2,584 of the 2,902 we matched. Industry is spread thin: Construction leads at 6.05%, then Real Estate (3.34%), Non-profit Organizations (3.30%), Insurance (3.17%) and Religious Institutions (3.09%). Domains aren't accounts, though. Where we can read the account, 2,044 domains resolve to 1,027 Wufoo accounts, and the largest, a merchant-services agent network, covers 70.
Sales Signal: US non-profits, churches and colleges are the reachable core. Real estate and insurance come in clusters, where one agency or network account covers dozens of sites, so sell to the account holder rather than each site.
Why there is no migration table
Hardly anyone visibly switches. The largest pair we saw since March 2026 is Contact Form 7, with 19 domains, and 86.2% of those still run both. Gravity Forms (6) and Survicate (4) are smaller. Nothing comes near the 50-domain floor we set before publishing a flow. Wufoo also rarely shares a site with the tools it's compared against: of 4,159 live Wufoo domains, fewer than three load Jotform, 6 load Google Forms and 12 load Typeform.
"Wufoo comparisons online keep setting it against Jotform. In our crawl the two almost never meet on a website, while Contact Form 7 shares a site with Wufoo more than a hundred times as often." - Sophie Clarke, Product Marketing Manager at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: With no churn wave to ride, a rival wins Wufoo accounts at renewal or when a site is rebuilt. A redesign is the moment the form gets reconsidered.
Technology ecosystem
WordPress runs on 49.24% of Wufoo domains, with Elementor (10.46%), Divi (8.22%), Wix (5.96%) and Squarespace (3.99%) behind it. Contact Form 7 is on 7.38%, 307 sites, with Gravity Forms on 1.39% and WPForms on 0.91%. On the sites that run both, my read is that Wufoo handles the form the plugin wasn't set up for, a payment or an application, while the plugin runs the contact page. Google Analytics is on 68.84% and Mailchimp on 4.04%.
Sales Signal: For agencies, about half of Wufoo's sites run WordPress. Moving the Wufoo form into the site's own form plugin is a small, concrete project to offer.
Review signals
Wufoo rates 4.2 out of 5 from 296 G2 reviews (September 29, 2026), with 53% five stars and 32% four stars, and G2 lists it under SurveyMonkey. Development looks slower from the outside: Wufoo's public release notes stop at July 22, 2019. It's still sold, with four paid plans from $16.25 a month billed yearly, a free plan and weekday email support, but the visible development record is old.
Sales Signal: A buyer who searches "is Wufoo still supported?" is already doubting it. A competitor can answer with a migration path; SurveyMonkey's answer is that the plans, help centre and status page are all live.
Key takeaways
1. 4,087 websites have a Wufoo form on or linked from them: half embed one, 38.7% link to their own hosted form.
2. The August doubling is our detection, not a comeback.
3. An old, American base: 2,239 US companies of 2,902 matched, 11.56% founded before 1960.
4. Wufoo rarely meets Jotform, Google Forms or Typeform on a site; 307 Wufoo sites run Contact Form 7 too.
5. Still sold and supported by SurveyMonkey, with public release notes last dated July 22, 2019.
Sales applications
Outreach template: "I saw [organisation] takes [applications / deposits / registrations] through a Wufoo form on [site]. Teams your size usually want [payments and entries in one place / a form that matches the site] without a rebuild. Worth 15 minutes?" Targeting strategy: on TechnologyChecker.io, filter Wufoo to the US and to Religious Institutions or Non-profit Organizations, then add WordPress. Competitive angle: the 307 Wufoo sites that also run Contact Form 7 already maintain two form tools.
Every figure above comes from our own crawl and enrichment: 4,087 Wufoo websites and 2,902 matched companies. Filter the list by country, industry and company size on TechnologyChecker.io.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Wufoo?
Mostly small US organisations. The top industries are construction, real estate, non-profits, insurance and churches, and colleges stand out among the larger names. Our crawl finds a Wufoo form on or linked from 4,087 websites, and 2,239 of the 2,902 companies we matched are American. Named users include Windermere Real Estate, Patagonia's dealer site, Bethel University, Thiel College and the Free Methodist Church USA.
How many customers does Wufoo have?
Wufoo says it's trusted by more than 3 million users. Our September 2026 crawl finds a Wufoo form embedded in or linked from 4,087 websites, and 2,902 of them match a company record. The gap is expected: a form shared by email or social media never appears on a website we crawl. Where we can read the account, 2,044 domains resolve to 1,027 Wufoo accounts.
What is Wufoo's market share?
Wufoo holds 1.76% of Surveys & Feedback on TechnologyChecker.io and ranks #8 of 64. That category mixes form builders with feedback platforms such as Qualtrics and Medallia, so the rank isn't a head-to-head measure. Against form tools, Wufoo's 4,087 sites compare with Tally's 11,796 and Typeform's 10,433 in the same category, and with Jotform's 12,393 embeds under Form Builders.
What are the best alternatives to Wufoo?
The usual shortlist is Jotform, Google Forms, Typeform, Tally, Formstack and Zoho Forms, and on WordPress sites Gravity Forms or WPForms. In our crawl the WordPress plugins overlap with Wufoo most: 58 Wufoo sites also load Gravity Forms and 38 WPForms, against fewer than three for Jotform. The top rows of Wufoo's own category, Qualtrics and Medallia, are feedback platforms rather than form builders.
Which countries use Wufoo the most?
