Companies Using Acuity Scheduling

Our September 2026 crawl finds 3,983 websites running Acuity Scheduling, and 2,430 of them match a named company. These are Acuity Scheduling customers you can check yourself: Claire's takes in-store appointments through it on stores.claires.com, and Westgate Resorts and Mindbloom run it on their customer portals. Below is the full list of companies that use Acuity Scheduling, with company size, industry, country and the rest of their website stack.

More than half of these sites, 55.82%, are built on Squarespace. That is expected: Squarespace bought Acuity in 2019 and sells it as its own scheduling product. The businesses are small, too. 86.01% of matched companies employ ten people or fewer, led by wellness studios, medical practices and coaches. Acuity holds 1.41% of the appointment scheduling category, ninth in our table.

Acuity Scheduling Usage Statistics

Our current crawl reads 3,558 domains in June 2026, 3,652 in July, 3,618 in August and 3,983 in September: a flat base with one late step. Most of it is not new. 63% of today's domains were first detected in May or June, and only 14% in August or September. The September step reflects changes on our side, both the domains we cover and the signals we detect Acuity with, because the set of domains we crawl turns over each month as dead sites drop out and new ones are added. The September figure is the one to quote.

List of Companies Using Acuity Scheduling

Who uses Acuity Scheduling? This list of companies using Acuity Scheduling names 50 of the 2,430 matched companies, ordered by LinkedIn headcount, and every row is a site where our crawl found Acuity's booking embed or script. Read the host column. Large names run Acuity on one purpose-built address, such as stores.claires.com for in-store appointments or watch-weekend-2026.afr.com for an Australian Financial Review event, while small practices embed it on their main site. Limi Hospital appears twice, on .net and .org, so count companies rather than rows.

Acuity Scheduling Market Share Among Appointment Scheduling

What is Acuity Scheduling's market share? It holds 1.41% of the Appointment Scheduling category and ranks #9 of the 132 technologies we track there, based on our crawl at TechnologyChecker.io. Calendly leads on 179,831 domains (63.87%), followed by Bookly (14,629), FareHarbor (11,943) and Cal.com (6,406). Part of that gap is what each count includes. A site that only links to a Calendly booking page counts toward Calendly, while an Acuity detection needs the booking embed or its script on the page, so sites that just link out to an Acuity booking page are not in the 3,983.

Acuity Scheduling Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Acuity Scheduling? Very small ones. 86.01% of the 2,280 matched companies with a known size employ 1 to 10 people and 11.62% employ 11 to 50, based on our enriched company data. Only 5 companies have more than 1,000 staff. Claire's and Westgate Resorts are two of them, and both run Acuity on one subdomain for a single booking job rather than across the business.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

The base is young. Of the 1,146 matched companies with a founding year, 49.39% started in the 2010s and 28.45% in the 2020s, so 77.84% were founded in 2010 or later. Only 13.96% date from the 2000s. That fits a practitioner who opened a studio or clinic since 2010 and took bookings online from the start.

What Industries Use Acuity Scheduling the Most?

The top rows all describe businesses that sell an hour of someone's time. Wellness and Fitness Services leads at 8.89%, followed by Medical Practices (6.53%), Professional Training and Coaching (5.87%) and Individual and Family Services (5.67%), a label many therapists and counsellors use. Add Mental Health Care (2.76%) and those five rows cover 29.72% of matched companies. No single industry passes 9%, based on our enriched company data at TechnologyChecker.io.

Professional Training and Coaching117 (5.87%)
Individual and Family Services113 (5.67%)
Business Consulting and Services79 (3.97%)

Wellness and fitness businesses that use Acuity Scheduling range from personal trainers such as ONE Personal Training in Hong Kong to barbers such as Master Barbers NYC. Medical practices on Acuity include Burbank Dental, the Australian eye clinic group personalEYES and telehealth company CareClix. Professional services use it as well: Maison Chen Law Group takes bookings on bookings.maisonchenlaw.com.au, and accounting firm Vyde and HR consultancy Culture Outcomes embed it on their main sites.

Acuity Scheduling Alternatives & Competitors

Calendly is the rival most buyers weigh against Acuity, and it is about 45 times larger in our crawl, though the two counts are not measured the same way (see market share above). The other rows in our category table are more specialised: Bookly is a WordPress booking plugin, FareHarbor sells tour and activity bookings, Cal.com is open-source scheduling and Zocdoc is a patient-booking marketplace. Studios and clinics also shortlist Square Appointments (part of Square), Setmore, SimplyBook.me, Mindbody and all-in-one tools such as vcita. Our switching data can't rank them yet: since March 2026, too few domains have moved between Acuity and any one rival to show a direction.

Tech Stack of Acuity Scheduling-Powered Websites

Across the 3,981 domains where Acuity is live, Squarespace runs on 2,222 (55.82%). That is not one platform inflating our count: only about 0.2% of Squarespace's roughly 1.08 million sites embed Acuity, so this is Squarespace selling its own scheduler to a slice of its own customers. WordPress is second at 26.3%, with Elementor on 7.03% and Webflow on 1.56%. Payment tools barely register, PayPal on 2.49% and Stripe on 2.24%, because Acuity takes payment inside its own booking page through Stripe, Square or PayPal.

Expert Analysis: Acuity Scheduling Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Emma Davies
Emma DaviesData Analyst, TechnologyChecker

I analysed Acuity Scheduling against our September 2026 crawl, and the count is clean. We detect Acuity from its booking widget, an iframe or script served from acuityscheduling.com. In a browser check of 24 random detected sites, all 21 that loaded showed the widget, 19 of them fetching embed.acuityscheduling.com. So the 3,983 domains on this page are live booking forms, and 2,430 of them match a company record. How we tell an embedded widget from a plain link is covered in our guide to technology detection methods.

It is also a floor. A business that sends clients to its hosted booking page on as.me, without embedding anything, leaves no trace on its own site, and those pages all share one domain, which we keep out of the company list. Embeds served from the newer app.squarespacescheduling.com host are a smaller gap: 57 domains, against 2,733 on the classic embed host.

A Squarespace product, measured on Squarespace sites

2,222 of the 3,981 domains where Acuity is live today are Squarespace sites, 55.82%. On most tools a share like that would mean one platform inflating the count. Here it means something else. Squarespace bought Acuity in 2019 and sells it as Acuity Scheduling by Squarespace, and the reverse share is tiny: about 0.2% of Squarespace's roughly 1.08 million sites embed Acuity. This is a vendor selling its own add-on to a small slice of its own customers.

Squarespace sites don't drop it faster, either. Of the domains we have watched drop Acuity since March 2026, about 49% were Squarespace sites, below their 56% share of current users.

"More than half of the sites running Acuity are Squarespace sites, so for most of its visible customers the website and the booking tool come from the same company. Squarespace is the sales channel." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: if you sell to Acuity users, you are selling to Squarespace owners first. Integrations, templates and services that assume a Squarespace site fit more than half of this list; the WordPress quarter needs a different pitch.

Solo practitioners and small clinics

86.01% of the 2,280 matched companies with a known size employ 1 to 10 people, and 11.62% employ 11 to 50. Only 5 have more than 1,000 staff. The founding years point the same way: 77.84% of those with a founding year started in 2010 or later.

The industry chart reads as a list of people who sell an hour of their time. Wellness and Fitness Services leads at 8.89%, then Medical Practices (6.53%), Professional Training and Coaching (5.87%), Individual and Family Services (5.67%) and Mental Health Care (2.76%). Together that is 29.72% of matched companies, and the names fit: ONE Personal Training in Hong Kong, Master Barbers NYC, Burbank Dental, personalEYES in Australia.

The larger names use Acuity for one job each. Claire's runs it on stores.claires.com for in-store appointments, Westgate Resorts on its my.westgateresorts.com portal, and the Australian Financial Review on a single event page, watch-weekend-2026.afr.com.

Sales signal: the buyer is the practitioner. A therapist or trainer running Acuity decides alone and buys on price and time saved. At the large-company end, the useful contact is whoever owns that one booking flow, not IT.

English-speaking markets

The United States has 1,426 matched companies, more than five times the United Kingdom's 259. Australia (163) and Canada (143) follow, then Germany at 41. No country outside the English-speaking world reaches 50.

Sales signal: filter on the US, UK, Australia and Canada and you cover almost the whole list. Outside those four, Acuity is rarely the incumbent a local booking tool has to displace.

Against Calendly: a different customer, counted differently

Calendly customers outnumber Acuity's in our crawl, 179,831 domains to 3,983, about 45 to 1. Two things matter before reading that as a head-to-head. Our Calendly count includes sites that only link to a Calendly page, while Acuity counts only where the widget loads. And they serve different buyers. Squarespace hosts 55.82% of Acuity sites but only 7.8% of Calendly's, per our Calendly profile, where the largest industries are business consulting (9.99%), coaching (6.82%), IT services (6.74%) and software development (6.38%).

Our switching data can't settle which way businesses move. Since March 2026, fewer than 20 domains have switched between the two in either direction, too few to publish as a corridor.

"Acuity and Calendly get compared as if they fight over the same user. Mostly they don't. Acuity sits on a yoga studio's Squarespace site, Calendly on a consultant's WordPress page, and fewer than 20 domains have switched between them since March." - Emma Davies, Data Analyst at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: treat the two lists as separate markets. A Calendly user usually sells meetings; an Acuity user sells appointments, and Acuity lets them take payment at the moment of booking.

The website around the booking form

Beyond the site builder, the stack is thin. The Facebook Pixel runs on 20.6% of live Acuity sites and Google Ads conversion tracking on 7.61%. Email tools show up on few of them; Mailchimp, the most common, is on 4.65%. Payment tools barely appear, PayPal on 2.49% and Stripe on 2.24%, because Acuity takes payment inside its own booking page through Stripe, Square or PayPal, so the processor never loads on the host site.

Sales signal: one in five of these businesses already runs the Facebook Pixel, while email marketing is barely visible. Email tools built for small practices have room here.

What reviewers say

Acuity rates 4.6 out of 5 across 410 reviews on G2. The summary of those reviews praises ease of use first and names limited features as the top complaint, specifically data export, reporting and client records. The mention counts behind it are small, 4 for the top pro and 3 for the top con, so the direction matters more than the counts.

That complaint fits the base. A one-person studio outgrows a booking tool when it adds staff, memberships and years of client history, and that is when export and reporting start to matter. 669 domains have dropped Acuity since we began tracking in March 2026, but nearly half of them were seen on a single visit, so part of that number is noise rather than cancellations, and no rival has yet taken enough of them to show where the rest went.

Sales signal: growing practices with several staff are the ones most likely to hit Acuity's limits. Filter for 11 to 50 employees and you get the 265 companies closest to that point.

Key takeaways

1. 3,983 domains and 2,430 companies, a floor that misses businesses linking only to a hosted as.me page.

2. 55.82% of live Acuity sites are Squarespace sites, sold through the company that owns Acuity.

3. 86.01% of matched companies have 1 to 10 staff, led by wellness, medical and coaching practices.

4. 1,426 matched companies are American, more than five times the UK's 259.

5. Calendly leads the category on 179,831 domains, but its count includes plain links, and its customers lean to consultants and software firms rather than studios and clinics.

How to use this list

Start with the United States and the 1 to 10 employee band, then split by site builder, since the Squarespace and WordPress halves of this list need different integrations. Filter the industry column on wellness, medical practices, coaching and family services for the core archetype, and read the host column before counting enterprise accounts: the large names run Acuity on a single booking subdomain.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Acuity Scheduling?

Small appointment-based businesses, mostly. Our crawl finds Acuity's booking embed on 3,983 websites, 2,430 matched to a company, and 86.01% of those employ ten people or fewer. Wellness and fitness (8.89%), medical practices (6.53%) and coaching (5.87%) lead. Larger users include Claire's, Westgate Resorts and the Australian Financial Review, each on a single booking subdomain. More than half of the sites run on Squarespace.

How many customers does Acuity Scheduling have?

Acuity's own figure is appointments rather than accounts: more than 15 million booked every month, per its About page. Our September 2026 crawl finds its booking embed on 3,983 websites, 2,430 of them matched to a company. Treat that as a floor, because businesses that only link to their Acuity booking page aren't counted. 669 domains have dropped Acuity since we began tracking in March 2026.

What is Acuity Scheduling's market share?

Acuity holds 1.41% of the Appointment Scheduling category and ranks #9 of the 132 technologies we track there. Calendly leads with 63.87% on 179,831 domains. The two counts are not measured identically: a plain link to a Calendly booking page counts toward Calendly's total, while Acuity is only counted where its booking embed or script loads on the page.

What are the best alternatives to Acuity Scheduling?

Calendly is the most common alternative and leads our category on 179,831 domains. Studios and clinics usually also compare Square Appointments, Setmore, SimplyBook.me and Mindbody; Bookly suits WordPress sites and Cal.com is open source. vcita adds invoicing and a client database. Our switching data is too thin to rank them: no rival has taken or lost enough Acuity domains since March 2026 to show a direction.

Which countries use Acuity Scheduling the most?

United States leads with 1,426 matched Acuity Scheduling domains, followed by United Kingdom (259), Australia (163), Canada (143), Germany (41). These are counts within the 2,430 domains we could match to a company record, not the full detected base.

What size companies use Acuity Scheduling?

The most common company size is 1-10 employees, representing 86.01% of the Acuity Scheduling domains we could match to a company record and size — a subset of 2,430 matched companies, not of all 3,983 detected domains. This is followed by 11-50 employees (11.62%) and 51-200 employees (1.67%).

How old are companies that use Acuity Scheduling?

Among the Acuity Scheduling domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (49.39%), followed by the 2020s (28.45%). That matched subset is drawn from 2,430 companies and is not representative of all 3,983 detected domains. This suggests Acuity Scheduling is most popular among relatively young companies.

What is the ideal customer profile for Acuity Scheduling?

The ideal Acuity Scheduling customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees, Industry: Wellness, medical practices, coaching, therapy, Location: US, then UK, Australia, Canada, Founded: 2010s, Website: Squarespace site with an embedded booking page — based on our analysis of 2,430 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

Which is better, Calendly or Acuity Scheduling?

They suit different buyers. Acuity's matched customers skew to wellness, medical and coaching practices, 86.01% with ten or fewer staff, and 55.82% of Acuity sites run on Squarespace. Calendly's lean to consulting, IT services and software, and only 7.8% of its sites are on Squarespace, per our Calendly profile. Acuity centres on client appointments with intake forms and payment at booking; Calendly on meetings between professionals.

Is Acuity Scheduling owned by Squarespace?

Yes. Squarespace acquired Acuity in 2019 and now sells it as Acuity Scheduling by Squarespace. The link shows in our data: 2,222 of the 3,981 live Acuity sites (55.82%) are Squarespace sites. It is a small slice from Squarespace's side, though. Only about 0.2% of Squarespace's roughly 1.08 million sites embed Acuity.

Can I use Acuity Scheduling without Squarespace?

Yes. Acuity sells standalone accounts and says it works with any website provider. Our crawl confirms it: WordPress runs on 1,047 live Acuity sites (26.3%), Elementor on 280 and Webflow on 62. Every account also gets a hosted booking page that needs no website at all. Squarespace is the most common home, at 55.82% of sites, but it is not a requirement.

What is Acuity Scheduling used for?

Letting clients book, reschedule and pay for appointments online. Businesses embed Acuity's scheduler on their site or send clients to its hosted booking page, and add intake forms, reminders and packages around each booking. In our data the users are wellness and fitness studios (8.89%), medical practices (6.53%), coaches (5.87%) and family services (5.67%), plus retailers such as Claire's booking in-store services.

How much does Acuity Scheduling cost?

As listed on Acuity's pricing page in September 2026, Starter costs $16 a month billed annually or $20 month to month, Standard $27 or $34, and Premium $49 or $61. The plans allow 1, up to 6 and up to 36 calendars respectively. Every plan comes with a 7-day free trial and no card required, and there is no permanent free plan.

Is Acuity Scheduling legitimate?

Yes. Acuity was founded in 2006 and has been owned by Squarespace since 2019. It rates 4.6 out of 5 across 410 reviews on G2, and our crawl finds its booking embed live on 3,983 websites, including Claire's store pages and the Australian Financial Review's event bookings. The most common complaints on G2 concern limited features and data export, not reliability.

Do clients pay through Acuity Scheduling?

They can. Acuity connects to Stripe, Square or PayPal, and clients pay in full, leave a deposit or add a tip while they book. The checkout runs inside Acuity's booking page, which is why payment tools rarely show on the host site in our data: only 2.49% of live Acuity sites load PayPal and 2.24% load Stripe.

How can you tell if a website uses Acuity Scheduling?

Look at the booking widget. A site embedding Acuity loads a script or iframe from acuityscheduling.com, usually embed.acuityscheduling.com, and TechnologyChecker.io detects both. Two setups are harder to see: a plain link to a hosted booking page on as.me, and embeds from the newer app.squarespacescheduling.com host, which appears on 57 domains in our crawl against 2,733 for the classic embed host.
