Companies Using Bookly

Bookly is the second-biggest name in Appointment Scheduling in our data and the only WordPress plugin near the top. I went in with one doubt: a plugin that loads on every page is easy to count and harder to read. A domain counts here when its pages define Bookly's JavaScript objects or load scripts from the plugin's folder. Our October 2026 crawl finds 14,626 live domains that do, 9,484 of them matched to a company, with 5.17% of the category.

How many sites show a booking form

So I checked what sits behind the count. In a random sample of 54 domains, 52 of the 53 we could open carried Bookly's files, and we found a working Bookly booking form on 12, on the homepage or one click away on a "book now" or "prendre rendez-vous" page. On most of the rest the plugin loads everywhere but the form sits deeper or isn't in use. Two sites had Bookly installed and booked through Calendly. The named list shows the same split. Nakasero Hospital, Oman International Hospital, Alchemist Hospitals and MedWay in the Netherlands run Bookly forms on appointment pages, while several university and government sites load the plugin with no form we could find.

Sales signal: treat a Bookly domain as a WordPress site with a booking plugin switched on, and look for a live form before you pitch anything booking-related. Sites with the form on the homepage are the active users.

Growth trajectory

The line reads 12,676 domains in June 2026, 13,994 in July, 14,105 in August, 14,629 in September and 14,626 in October. The June-to-July step mixes real installs with changes on our side: the domains we crawl turn over every month, dead sites out and new ones in, and our detection signals widen over time. Since September the count hasn't moved. 2,028 domains have dropped Bookly on at least one hostname since March 2026, and about one in ten of those still runs it on another hostname.

Sales signal: this is a stable pool, not a fast-growing one. Plan on about 14,600 domains and little growth.

Who the customers are

76.56% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 16.62% have 11 to 50, near Calendly's 79.13% at the smallest band and below Acuity Scheduling's 86.01%. Two in three were founded in 2010 or later, though only 25.55% in the 2020s, against 43.89% on Calendly's profile. The 28 companies with more than 1,000 staff often run Bookly on one department's site: the University of Copenhagen's programme for upper-secondary schools, the Université de Strasbourg's continuing-education pages, New Mexico's Regulation and Licensing Department.

Sales signal: the buyer is the owner or office manager of a small service business, or one team inside a large institution. Sell them something they can install from the WordPress dashboard.

A European base

The US has the most matched companies, 1,825, but Germany (731), France (722), the Netherlands (719), the UK (684) and Spain (671) are close behind, and the nine European countries in the top 15 add up to 4,402, 2.4 times the US. The US is 19.2% of Bookly's matched base; Calendly's profile has 36.4%. Bookly's site is published in ten languages, and the plugin keeps bookings inside the site's own WordPress, which may suit European owners who'd rather not send customer data to a hosted scheduler. Industry is spread thin. Retail leads at 6.32%, and the health rows (Medical Practices, Wellness and Fitness, Hospitals) add up to 13.1%.

Sales signal: SMS reminders, payment gateways and GDPR tools aimed at small European service businesses have a ready list here, starting with Germany, France, the Netherlands and Spain.

Calendly and the hosted schedulers

I expected Calendly to be pulling sites off Bookly. Our crawl shows no switching corridor between them, or between Bookly and any other rival. 98 domains run Bookly and Calendly together today, out of 144 ever seen with both, which is too much coexistence to call a move in either direction. Acuity Scheduling barely overlaps at all. In our sample, the two Bookly sites that also used Calendly sent visitors to Calendly for the booking itself, with Bookly still loading on their pages.

Sales signal: Bookly sites that also run Calendly are the likeliest to drop the plugin, and the clearest prospects for a hosted scheduler. The other way round, WordPress agencies can offer Bookly to Calendly users who want bookings kept on their own site.

The stack around it

WordPress is on 99.8% of Bookly domains, Elementor on 39.97% and Divi on 9.04%. Much of the rest of the stack is Bookly's own front end. Hammer.js (96.29%), Spin.js (94.05%) and Moment.js (88.27%) load from the plugin's folder, as do Tailwind CSS (80.43%) and Bootstrap Icons (73.27%), so anyone counting those libraries should know a Bookly install brings them along. Hosting is budget WordPress hosting: GoDaddy 10.32%, Hostinger 8.63%, DreamHost 8.35%, IONOS 3.73%.

Sales signal: WordPress maintenance, speed and hosting offers fit this list. A small business loading a booking plugin's libraries on every page is an easy opener for a speed audit.

What it costs

Bookly's pricing page (checked 13 October 2026) lists a free version with unlimited appointments and three paid tiers per site per year: Pro at $99, Business at $129 and Ultimate at $199, cut to $39, $69 and $159 in an autumn sale. WordPress.org shows 60,000+ active installations and a 4.4 out of 5 rating. The site names NOTA-INFO S.R.L. as the maker and Booking Technologies Inc. as the distributor.

Sales signal: with a free tier and cheap paid plans, Bookly owners watch costs. Price add-ons and services the way plugins are sold: per site, per year.
