Companies Using NICE CXone

Our September 2026 crawl finds the NICE CXone chat widget, formerly known as NICE inContact, on 2,565 domains. The recognisable NICE CXone customers are large service organisations: Siemens, Desjardins, Wawa, Henry Schein, DTE Energy, Holland America and The Economist. Below is the list of companies that use NICE CXone, with size, industry and country breakdowns.

One customer shapes every chart on this page. 1,271 of the 2,678 live domains (47.5%) are dental practice websites supported by Heartland Dental, each loading the same chat embed. That is one buyer's web estate, so where it matters we quote the picture without it. The count is also a floor: we see the website chat layer, not the voice contact centre behind it.

NICE CXone Usage Statistics

We started detecting NICE CXone on 4 August 2026, so the chart has two points: 1,964 domains in August, a partial first month, and 2,565 in September. That step reflects our side, both the detection filling in and the set of domains we crawl turning over each month as dead sites drop out and new ones are added. Quote the September figure.

List of Companies Using NICE CXone

Who uses NICE CXone? The list below names 50 matched companies ordered by LinkedIn headcount, which is why no Heartland practice appears: each practice's company page is small. Look at the detection host as well as the name. Large companies often run the chat on one commercial flow rather than the whole site: gear.wawa.com is Wawa's merchandise shop, subscribenow.economist.com is The Economist's subscription checkout, and registration.dteenergy.com is a DTE Energy sign-up page.

Which Countries Use NICE CXone the Most?

Which countries use NICE CXone the most? The table shows the United States with 1,419 matched companies, but 916 of those rows are Heartland Dental practices. Without that fleet the US still leads with 503 companies, followed by the United Kingdom (82), Australia (44), Canada (38) and Germany (15). For a platform whose chat we mostly see on American sites, the UK and Australia are a large share of the independent base.

NICE CXone Market Share Among Live Chat & Messaging

What is NICE CXone's market share? It holds 0.08% of the Live Chat & Messaging category and ranks #59, based on our crawl of live business domains at TechnologyChecker.io. That category counts websites, and it is led by lightweight widgets: WhatsApp Business Chat alone holds 35.01% on 1,076,295 domains. NICE sells a contact-centre platform to large service operations, so a share of chat widgets says little about where it competes. The comparable measurement is Genesys Cloud, whose web chat widget we read on 2,050 live domains.

NICE CXone Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use NICE CXone? The chart says 1 to 10 employees (55.68%), and that is mostly the dental fleet, whose practices match to small practice-level company pages. Of the 1,568 companies with a known size, 852 belong to the fleet. The other 716 spread across every band: 165 have 51 to 200 staff, 149 have 11 to 50, 165 have 10 or fewer, and 86 employ more than 1,000, 15 of them more than 10,000.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

Pre-1960 is the largest founding group at 23.8%, ahead of the 2000s (18.16%) and 2010s (15.87%), and only 2.3% were founded in the 2020s. That fits the utilities, banks and insurers on the list. We can't separate the dental fleet from this chart, so treat the split as approximate.

What Industries Use NICE CXone the Most?

Medical Practices leads the chart at 33.62%, and 371 of its 397 companies are Heartland Dental practices. Take the fleet out and 680 independent companies with a known industry remain, led by Hospitals and Health Care (8.38%), Financial Services (7.06%), Retail (6.47%), Banking (4.71%), Motor Vehicle Manufacturing (4.41%) and Insurance (3.97%). That is the shape of a contact-centre vendor: organisations that take a lot of customer calls.

Hospitals and Health Care112 (9.48%)
Financial Services49 (4.15%)
Wellness and Fitness Services48 (4.06%)
Retail44 (3.73%)
Banking32 (2.71%)

Banks, insurers and financial services firms using NICE CXone form the largest cluster once the fleet is set aside, 107 of the 680 independent companies, with Desjardins, Golden 1, Seacoast Bank and Cincinnati Financial on the list. Healthcare organisations on NICE CXone follow, from One Medical to Ramsay Health Care in the UK. Travel and hospitality brands such as Holland America, Seabourn, Loews Hotels and Hard Rock run the chat on their booking sites and shops, based on our enriched company data.

NICE CXone Alternatives & Competitors

The category leaders are messaging widgets rather than contact centres: WhatsApp Business Chat (35.01%), Re:amaze (8.97%), OpenAI (6.66%) and Tawk.to (6.16%). NICE's real rivals are the contact-centre platforms, Genesys Cloud, Five9, Talkdesk and Amazon Connect, and Zendesk or Intercom when a buyer wants digital messaging only. Our switching data shows no traffic between them yet: Five9, Genesys Cloud and Intercom each overlap with NICE CXone on three domains or fewer.

Expert Analysis: NICE CXone Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

David Thomson
David ThomsonCTO, TechnologyChecker

I went through the NICE CXone data from our September 2026 crawl expecting a list of large contact centres, and found a dental group first. We detect the NICE CXone chat widget on 2,565 domains, and 1,679 match a company record. Before any of those numbers can be read, one customer has to be taken out.

Half the domains are one dental group

1,271 of the 2,678 domains where NICE CXone is live today, 47.5%, are dental practice websites with an identical technology signature: Patient Prism call tracking, Freshpaint, Optimizely and Cloudinary, all four on every site. We sampled 16 of them, from Lake Gibson Dental to Sumter Dental Care. All 16 state in the footer that the brand is owned by Heartland Dental LLC, a dental support organisation, and all 16 load the same inContact chat client from home-c36.nice-incontact.com.

Heartland says it supports more than 2,400 dental offices, so a network of 1,271 practice sites is plausible for it. It is also one buying decision. Every chart on this page carries that decision as if it were 1,271 customers, and most practices match to their own small company page, so the charts tilt toward tiny medical practices in the United States.

"Any list of NICE CXone customers built from website detection has this fleet in it. Count the sites one at a time and dental practices look like NICE's biggest market. They are one customer." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales signal: collapse the fleet to a single account before you size anything. Heartland Dental is one NICE customer with a very large web estate, and a good account in its own right, but it is one account.

The customer base without the fleet

With the practices removed, NICE CXone looks like the contact-centre vendor it is. Of 716 independent companies with a known size, 86 employ more than 1,000 people and 15 more than 10,000; 237 employ more than 200. The industry leaders are Hospitals and Health Care (8.38%), Financial Services (7.06%), Retail (6.47%), Banking (4.71%) and Insurance (3.97%). Banking, insurance and financial services together account for 107 of the 680 companies with a known industry.

Geography shifts too. The United States leads with 503 independent companies, but the United Kingdom has 82 and Australia 44, which makes both far more important to NICE than the raw table suggests.

Sales signal: the core buyer is a regulated, call-heavy organisation of a few hundred staff or more: a bank, insurer, utility, hospital group or travel company. Filter on those industries and on 201+ employees, and treat the UK and Australia as primary markets.

What the widget shows, and what it hides

We detect NICE CXone through the chat and digital-engagement scripts it serves from niceincontact.com and nice-incontact.com. The voice side, which is most of what a contact centre does, is invisible to a crawler. So this is a floor, and a count of companies that put NICE chat on a web page.

Where that chat sits is telling. Large companies often put it on a single commercial flow: Wawa on its gear.wawa.com shop, The Economist on its subscription checkout, DTE Energy on a registration page, Holland America and Seabourn on their main cruise sites. The chat goes where a stuck customer costs money.

The comparable measurement is Genesys Cloud, which we detect the same way, through its web chat widget, on 2,050 live domains. Once Heartland is set aside, NICE's independent footprint is smaller than that.

Sales signal: for a company already on NICE voice, the chat widget is the visible upsell. For a company showing NICE chat on one flow only, the rest of the site is the expansion.

Why there is no migration table

120 domains have dropped NICE CXone since we began tracking it in August 2026, and about seven in ten of those were seen only once, which reads as detection flicker rather than cancellations. On the inbound side, one flow is large enough to notice. About 65 domains dropped LiveChat and now run NICE CXone, and all ten we checked are white-label travel-club sites running on arrivia's platform, such as esKape by Krystal, Infinite Privileges and Privileges Travel. The statistics pass. The footers tell a different story: this is one company moving its own network.

"Sixty-five domains sounds like a trend until you read the footers. One travel-club platform moved its sites, and every switching test we have counts that as sixty-five decisions." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Every other flow is under ten domains. Five9, Genesys Cloud and Intercom each overlap with NICE on three domains or fewer.

Sales signal: we can't yet show contact-centre customers moving between NICE, Genesys and Five9 on the web. Displacement plays here rest on contract timing, which this page can't see.

The stack of an enterprise service operation

Optimizely (51.08%) and Freshpaint (47.61%) top the stack only because of the fleet: remove the 1,271 practice sites and Optimizely is left on 97 domains, Freshpaint on 4. The rows that describe independent customers are enterprise tools: OneTrust on 363 domains, New Relic on 156, Adobe Experience Manager on 148, Adobe Analytics on 124 and Sitecore on 46. Invoca call tracking on 67 domains is the most on-theme: a company that attributes phone calls to marketing is the same company that needs a contact centre to answer them.

Sales signal: these accounts buy enterprise web and analytics software, and consent management is standard. Pitch integrations with Adobe and OneTrust.

Key takeaways

1. 1,271 of 2,678 live domains (47.5%) are Heartland Dental practice sites, which makes them one customer.

2. Outside the fleet, 86 of 716 companies with a known size employ more than 1,000 people.

3. Financial services, banking and insurance account for 107 of 680 independent companies with a known industry.

4. The 65-domain inflow from LiveChat is a network of travel-club sites on arrivia's platform, one provider.

5. We see the chat widget only, so 2,565 domains is a floor on NICE CXone customers.

How to use this list

Merge the Heartland practices into one account. Then work the independent base by industry, starting with financial services, health care and utilities, and use the detection host to find the team that owns the chat. A chat on a shop subdomain belongs to e-commerce, one on a registration page to customer operations.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses NICE CXone?

Large service organisations and one very large dental group. Our crawl finds the NICE CXone chat widget on 2,565 domains, with named users such as Siemens, Desjardins, Wawa, Henry Schein, DTE Energy and Holland America. 1,271 of the live domains are Heartland Dental practice sites. Without them, the leading industries are hospitals and health care (8.38%), financial services (7.06%) and retail (6.47%).

How many customers does NICE CXone have?

We detect NICE CXone on 2,565 domains, and 1,679 match a company record. Count organisations with care: 1,271 of the live domains belong to one customer, Heartland Dental. Outside that fleet, 716 companies have a known size and 680 a known industry. We see only the website chat widget, so contact centres that run voice alone are not counted. 120 domains have dropped it since August 2026.

What is NICE CXone's market share?

NICE CXone holds 0.08% of Live Chat & Messaging and ranks #59 in our crawl. The category counts chat widgets on websites and is led by WhatsApp Business Chat at 35.01%, so the figure understates a vendor that sells full contact-centre software. Measured the same way, Genesys Cloud's web chat is on 2,050 live domains.

What are the best alternatives to NICE CXone?

For a full cloud contact centre, the usual shortlist is Genesys Cloud, Five9, Talkdesk and Amazon Connect. Buyers who only need digital messaging and a help desk often look at Zendesk or Intercom instead. The widgets that outrank NICE CXone in our Live Chat category, such as WhatsApp Business Chat and Tawk.to, solve a much smaller problem.

Which countries use NICE CXone the most?

The United States leads, but the raw table overstates it: 916 of the 1,419 US company rows are Heartland Dental practices. Outside that fleet we count 503 US companies, 82 in the United Kingdom, 44 in Australia, 38 in Canada and 15 in Germany. The UK and Australia are large markets for NICE CXone relative to their size.

What size companies use NICE CXone?

The chart shows 1 to 10 employees at 55.68%, but that is the Heartland Dental fleet, whose practices match to small company pages. Among the 716 companies with a known size outside the fleet, 165 have 51 to 200 staff, 149 have 11 to 50, 165 have 10 or fewer, and 86 employ more than 1,000. It is a mid-market and enterprise product.

How old are companies that use NICE CXone?

Among the NICE CXone domains we could match to a company with a known founding date, the largest group was founded in the Pre-1960 (23.8%), followed by the 2000s (18.16%). That matched subset is drawn from 1,679 companies and is not representative of all 2,565 detected domains. This suggests NICE CXone is most popular among established companies.

What is the ideal customer profile for NICE CXone?

The ideal NICE CXone customer is: Company Size: 51-200 employees, with a large 1,000+ tier, Location: US, UK, Australia or Canada, Industry: Healthcare, banking, insurance, retail, Founded: Before 1960 (largest group), Use case: Web chat on sales, booking and service pages — based on our analysis of 1,679 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

Are NICE and inContact the same company?

Yes. NICE bought inContact, a Utah cloud contact-centre company, and closed the deal on November 14, 2016. The platform was branded NICE inContact CXone in 2017 and is now sold as NICE CXone, with its AI suite marketed as CXone Mpower. The chat widget still loads from niceincontact.com and nice-incontact.com hosts, which is how we detect it.

What is NICE inContact used for?

Running a customer contact centre in the cloud: call routing, IVR, chat, email and messaging, workforce management, call recording and quality analytics for service teams. On a website, the visible part is the chat and messaging widget that connects visitors to those agents. That widget is what our crawl detects on 2,565 domains.

Why do so many dental websites use NICE CXone?

Because one customer runs them. 1,271 live NICE CXone domains are dental practice websites supported by Heartland Dental, a dental support organisation. Every site we sampled states Heartland Dental LLC in its footer and loads the same inContact chat client. It is one contract deployed across a network of practice sites.

How can you tell if a website uses NICE CXone?

Check the page's scripts. Older NICE chat embeds load /inContact/ChatClient/js/embed.min.js from hosts such as home-c36.nice-incontact.com, while newer ones load chat.js or a loader from niceincontact.com subdomains such as livechat-static-de-na1. TechnologyChecker.io detects both. A NICE customer that runs only the phone side of its contact centre leaves no trace on its website.

Do companies switch from LiveChat to NICE CXone?

We have seen one clear case, and it is a single company. About 65 domains dropped LiveChat and now run NICE CXone, and all ten we checked are white-label travel-club sites running on arrivia's platform, such as esKape by Krystal and Infinite Privileges. That is one platform provider moving its network, so we don't treat it as a market trend.
