Companies Using Webnode

I went through Webnode's footprint in our September 2026 crawl. We detect it from Webnode's generator tag, its page scripts and its own cookie (the general method is in how we detect technologies). On that basis 20,758 domains run Webnode today, and 9,876 match a company record. That is a small base next to the builders people compare it with, but it is concentrated in two countries, and one of them has an explanation you can check in DNS.

What the count covers

Webnode is free by default, with the project name as a subdomain, and connecting your own domain needs a premium plan. 4,211 of the 20,848 live Webnode domains are Webnode subdomains, spread across webnode.com (2,160), .es, .page, .pt and .fr, so about 80% are sites on their own domain. In a random sample, 33 of the 34 pages that loaded were working Webnode sites, and placeholder titles such as "Webnode error page" cover about 0.7% of titled domains. At this size Webnode is about a third of Framer (58,661 on the Framer profile) and nearly four times Carrd (5,377).

Sales signal: most rows are sites someone put on their own domain, so the list is usable for outreach without heavy cleaning.

Growth trajectory

The series reads 16,620 in June, 16,798 in July, 16,831 in August and 20,758 in September. That last step is ours, not Webnode's: 20.25% of live Webnode domains were first seen in August or September, 4,057 of them in August alone, as our crawl reached more of them. The set of domains we crawl also turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added. Read the base as flat. 910 domains dropped Webnode since March 2026.

Sales signal: size your market on the September figure, but don't treat Webnode as a growth segment.

Two home markets

Webnode is developed in Brno, and Czechia is its base: 2,717 live Webnode domains end in .cz, about one in eight. Company records catch only 1,023 Czech companies, because many small Czech firms have no company record. Even on that basis Webnode is the third hosted builder among Czech companies, after Wix (1,882) and Webflow (1,129). In Slovakia it has only 104 matched companies and 435 .sk domains, so don't read the Czech position as a regional one.

Belgium is the surprise, with 1,048 matched companies, 924 of them on .be domains. The likely explanation is ownership. Webnode has been part of team.blue since December 2020, and team.blue, based in Ghent, grew out of Belgium's Combell Group. We checked the nameservers of 80 random .be Webnode domains: 31 use Combell's. Among 80 Webnode domains outside Belgium, none did. Much of Webnode's Belgian base appears to arrive through Combell.

Sales signal: for Belgian Webnode sites the hosting relationship often sits with Combell, so partner routes matter more there than cold outreach. Czech sites are the direct market, and the .cz list is larger than the company table.

Who the customers are

88% of matched companies with a known size employ 1 to 10 people and 9.61% employ 11 to 50. The base is young: 41.01% were founded in the 2010s and 33.76% in 2020 or later, against 17.58% on Jimdo. Business Consulting and Services leads the industries at 6.32%, then Construction (4.8%) and Retail (4.16%). Some larger companies run their main site on Webnode: Pohjolan Liikenne, the Finnish bus operator in the VR Group, and Erkunt Sanayi, an Ankara foundry group founded in 1953.

Sales signal: a third of these companies were founded in 2020 or later and chose a free-by-default builder. That is a natural audience for invoicing, email and booking tools sold to new small firms.

Where Webnode sites go

We publish no switching table for Webnode, because no flow passed our tests. The largest, WordPress, runs both ways: 81 domains moved from Webnode to WordPress since March 2026 and 80 moved from WordPress to Webnode. Wix is even too, at 11 each way. Of the 661 domains where Webnode disappeared from every host, most show no other builder we detect.

Sales signal: migration services have little to work with here. Add-ons that make an existing Webnode site do more are the better pitch.

The stack on a Webnode site

Google Tag Manager appears on 42.2% of live Webnode domains, five times Jimdo's 8.34%, and Google Analytics on 38.0%. Some of those tags may come through Webnode's own settings, so treat them as present on the page rather than as a separate purchase. YouTube (9.12%) and Google Maps (9.08%) describe a typical page. Business email is thin: Microsoft 365 on 7.06% and Google Workspace on 2.51%. PHP, Modernizr and Hammer.js sit on more than 80% of sites as part of Webnode's platform, so we leave them out.

Sales signal: more than nine in ten Webnode sites show neither Microsoft 365 nor Google Workspace mail, an opening for business email.

What reviewers say

G2 lists Webnode at 4.1 out of 5 from 10 reviews (September 2026). That is too few to draw themes from, and it fits a product sold to sole traders through a help centre in 20 languages rather than to software buyers. The even exchange with WordPress is the stronger signal: sites are not leaving in numbers.

Sales signal: write in the owner's language. The base spans Czech, Dutch, Spanish, Portuguese and Nordic markets, and no country holds more than 1,048 matched companies.
