Companies Using Inertia.js
Our October 2026 crawl finds Inertia.js on 26,896 live domains. Inertia is the glue between a server framework and a React, Vue or Svelte front end, and more than half of our company list uses it for applications rather than brochure sites: login screens, portals, events and careers pages. Below is the list of companies that use Inertia.js, including Brazil's postal service Correios on its export portal, Safaricom, CHG Healthcare and the careers sites of Yum! Brands and Elastic.
Inertia ranks 20th of the 69 technologies we track in JavaScript Frameworks, with 0.37%, but that table compares it with the front-end frameworks it sits on. Its real rivals are Livewire, Laravel's other front-end route, and server-driven tools like htmx and Hotwire's Turbo. The companies are young: 70.04% of matched companies were founded in 2010 or later, 30.51% in the 2020s alone.

Inertia.js Usage Statistics
Inertia.js reads 14,013 domains in June 2026, 18,463 in July, 22,197 in August, 26,184 in September and 26,896 in October. That is not a doubling of adoption. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection widens over time, so part of the climb is our crawl reaching Inertia apps it hadn't seen; we can't separate that from real growth. The line flattened in October, up 712 domains on September's 26,184. Since we began tracking it in March 2026, 3,075 domains have dropped Inertia.js.

Which Countries Use Inertia.js the Most?
Which countries use Inertia.js the most? The United States, with 2,238 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (1,246) and Brazil (817), ahead of Germany (645), the Netherlands (620) and India (578). The American lead is narrow: about 1.8 US companies for every British one, against about 3.6 on Alpine.js's profile (37,691 and 10,556). Indonesia (389), Mexico (206) and Turkey (205) also make the top 15. These counts cover the 14,183 Inertia domains we matched to a company.
Share of the 14,183 Inertia.js domains we matched to a company record — 52.7% of the 26,896 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.
Inertia.js Market Share Among JavaScript Frameworks
What is Inertia.js's market share? 0.37% of JavaScript Frameworks, 20th of the 69 technologies we track there, counting domains at TechnologyChecker.io. The share misplaces it. Inertia doesn't replace React or Vue.js; an Inertia app is built with one of them, so the table compares Inertia with its own dependencies. React holds 41.32% of the category and Vue.js 14.75%. The useful comparison is with Laravel's other front-end option, Livewire, and with htmx.
Top Competitors by Market Share
Inertia.js Customers by Company Size & Age
What size companies use Inertia.js? Mostly small ones. 60.31% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 23.40% have 11 to 50, so 83.71% have 50 staff or fewer. 301 companies have more than 1,000 staff, and at those the Inertia app is usually one property: an events site at FNB and eClinicalWorks, a careers site at Yum! Brands and Elastic, an export portal at Correios.
Company Size Distribution
Company Age (Founded Decade)
70.04% of matched companies were founded in 2010 or later: 39.53% in the 2010s and 30.51% in the 2020s. That's a younger base than Alpine.js's, where the 2020s hold 20.50%. Only 3.49% predate 1960, a tail that includes FNB (1838) on its events site, Morgan Advanced Materials (1856) on its investor site and San Miguel (1890), whose corporate site sends Inertia's response header.
What Industries Use Inertia.js the Most?
Software Development leads at 7.18%, then IT Services and IT Consulting (5.72%) and Technology, Information and Internet (5.27%), so the three software rows hold 18.17% between them, based on our enriched company data at TechnologyChecker.io. Real Estate (3.48%) and Advertising Services (3.00%), LinkedIn's label for agencies, come next. That mix fits a tool developers pick for applications they build for themselves or for clients.
Software companies using Inertia.js include eClinicalWorks on its events site and Elastic on its careers pages. Universities using Inertia.js are a large group in our list: Addis Ababa University's admissions portal, the University of the Philippines, Universidad de Santiago de Chile and Northern Michigan University's application site. Telecom companies on Inertia.js include Safaricom, Ethio Telecom and Peru's Bitel.
Inertia.js Alternatives & Competitors
The table lists the front-end frameworks Inertia runs on top of, so read it as context rather than competition. React (41.32%) and Vue.js (14.75%) are the libraries an Inertia app renders with. Alpine.js appears at 300,356 domains, a raw count that includes domain-for-sale pages; its own profile uses a cleaned 226,035. Inertia's actual alternatives are Livewire, which runs on 1.73% of Inertia domains, htmx and Hotwire's Turbo, all of which appear in the switching table below.
Inertia.js Customer Migration
Since we began tracking in March 2026, 164 domains dropped Livewire and kept Inertia.js, and 38 went the other way, 93 of the 164 in the last 30 days. That's the one flow with a direction: about a quarter of domains we've seen with both dropped Livewire, against about 8% of Livewire domains overall. Next.js runs both ways (177 in, 238 out) and many sites keep both on different subdomains, so read it as noise. Nuxt.js moved 100 in and 74 out; Turbo and htmx are single digits or teens. All counts are domains.
Tech Stack of Inertia.js-Powered Websites
Across 26,414 Inertia domains, the base for these percentages, Tailwind CSS runs on 81.16%, and shadcn/ui on 20.65% with Radix UI on 18.55%: the component kit Laravel's React starter kit installs. Bootstrap is on 16.25%. Laravel's own marker shows on only 5.91% because a Laravel app can hide its cookie, while Ruby on Rails is visible on 3.37%. Cloudflare Browser Insights (19.15%) and Amazon Web Services (8.00%) lead the infrastructure rows, and privacy-first analytics show up: Fathom 1.85%, Plausible 1.46%.

Expert Analysis: Inertia.js Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

I'm David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io, and I look after the detection rules behind this page. Inertia.js is one of the cleaner things we detect: an Inertia page carries a data-page object with the component name and its data, and Inertia's requests carry an X-Inertia header. Our October 2026 crawl finds those traces on 26,896 domains, 14,183 of them matched to a company. We left 1,243 pages out of the company charts, 835 domain-for-sale pages and 408 Indonesian gambling pages, but kept them in the headline, where they're under 5%.
Growth you should discount
The chart goes from 14,013 domains in June to 26,896 in October. Don't read that as adoption doubling in four months. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites leaving and new ones arriving, and our detection widens over time; both push the line up independent of any team choosing Inertia. The October step was only 712 domains, from 26,184. 3,075 domains have dropped Inertia since we began tracking in March 2026.
"Inertia barely shows up as a front-end framework, because it isn't one. You find it on the login screens, portals and careers pages that Laravel teams build every week." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: size the market at about 27,000 domains and treat the June to October rise as partly ours. Laravel's current starter kits ship Inertia 3 for React, Vue and Svelte, so every new project built from them adds to the pool.
Applications, not brochure sites
Read the component names in our company list and you see what Inertia is used for: login and authentication screens, an export portal at Correios, an events site at FNB and eClinicalWorks, an admissions portal at Addis Ababa University, a kitchen planner at Castorama Polska. 36 of the 50 rows run on a subdomain. Many Inertia apps sit behind a login, and our crawl only sees the public page in front of them, so the 26,896 is what's visible from outside. The companies are small and young: 60.31% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees, and 70.04% were founded in 2010 or later.
One pattern surprised me. Five careers sites in the list, Yum! Brands, Elastic, Wipfli, SHC and Cambium Learning, serve the identical Inertia build, and Elastic's careers host points at Ongig, a recruiting-software vendor. Those companies didn't choose Inertia; their careers-site vendor did. The same goes for two French charities whose donor portals run the same Inertia app.
Sales Signal: at a large company the Inertia buyer is the team behind one application, or a vendor hosting it for them. For the 83.71% with 50 staff or fewer, the buyer is the developer.
Brazil, third
The United States has 2,238 matched companies, the United Kingdom 1,246 and Brazil 817, ahead of Germany (645) and the Netherlands (620). That's about 1.8 American companies per British one, a flatter spread than Alpine.js's 3.6. Indonesia (389), Mexico (206) and Turkey (205) make the top 15, and our list has a long run of Latin American universities and Brazilian portals. By industry, the three software rows hold 18.17% (7.18%, 5.72% and 5.27%), with Real Estate at 3.48% and Advertising Services, the agencies, at 3.00%.
Sales Signal: Laravel agencies in Brazil and the UK are the densest pool here after the US. Portuguese-language outreach is worth testing before German.
Livewire to Inertia, and Next.js both ways
Since March 2026, 164 domains dropped Livewire and kept Inertia, and 38 did the reverse. The direction holds up against the base rate: about a quarter of the domains we've seen with both dropped Livewire, against about 8% of all Livewire domains. 93 of the 164 fell in the last 30 days, when Livewire's drops were high everywhere, so I'd call it a lean, not a stampede. Next.js runs both ways, 177 in and 238 out, and Next.js still sits on 3.34% of Inertia domains, so many sites run both. Nuxt.js moved 100 in and 74 out.
"When a site that ran both Livewire and Inertia dropped one of them, it kept Inertia four times out of five. Small numbers, but they point one way." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io
Sales Signal: teams moving from Livewire to Inertia are hiring or contracting React and Vue skills. That's a better hook for front-end agencies than any Inertia-versus-Next.js pitch.
The stack: Tailwind and the starter kits
Tailwind CSS runs on 81.16% of Inertia domains. shadcn/ui is on 20.65% and Radix UI on 18.55%, which is what Laravel's React starter kit installs, per laravel.com. Bootstrap is on 16.25%. Laravel's own cookie and global show on only 5.91%, because a Laravel app can hide them; Ruby on Rails shows on 3.37%. Hosting splits between Amazon Web Services (8.00%) and shared hosts such as Hostinger (6.61%), and Cloudflare Browser Insights is on 19.15%. Fathom (1.85%) and Plausible (1.46%) are the privacy-first analytics picks.
Sales Signal: a shadcn/ui row is close to a starter-kit fingerprint, so those domains are recent Laravel and React builds. Component, auth and hosting vendors aimed at Laravel should start there.
What it costs
Nothing. Inertia.js is MIT-licensed. Jonathan Reinink introduced it in March 2019, using Laravel and Vue as his examples, Laravel's blog announced Inertia 2.0 in December 2024, and Laravel's current starter kits ship Inertia 3. Laravel and Rails have official server adapters and Django a community one.
Sales Signal: there's no vendor relationship to displace. Sell what Inertia apps need around them: hosting, monitoring, auth, components and developer time.
Key takeaways
1. 26,896 live domains, 20th of 69 in a category that compares it with its own dependencies.
2. It runs applications: logins, portals, events and careers sites, mostly at small, young companies.
3. Brazil is the third-largest market, and the US lead over the UK is narrow.
4. Where sites ran both, Livewire lost more often than Inertia: 164 against 38.
5. shadcn/ui on 20.65% marks the Laravel React starter kit.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who uses Inertia.js?
Mostly small software and agency teams building applications, plus large organisations running one app each. Our October 2026 crawl finds Inertia.js on 26,896 live domains. 60.31% of matched companies have 10 or fewer staff. Named users include Correios on its export portal, Safaricom, CHG Healthcare, FNB's events site, and Yum! Brands and Elastic on their careers sites.
How many customers does Inertia.js have?
Our October 2026 crawl finds Inertia.js on 26,896 live domains, and 14,183 of them match a company. Read that as domains running an Inertia app, not paying customers: Inertia is free and open source. We left 1,243 pages out of the company charts, 835 domain-for-sale pages and 408 gambling pages. 3,075 domains have dropped it since March 2026.
What is Inertia.js's market share?
0.37% of JavaScript Frameworks, 20th of the 69 technologies we track there, on 26,896 domains. That category is a poor fit, because an Inertia app is built with React, Vue or Svelte rather than instead of them. React holds 41.32% and Vue.js 14.75%. Compare Inertia with Livewire or htmx instead, the tools a team weighs against it in practice.
What are the best alternatives to Inertia.js?
On Laravel, Livewire is the main alternative: you write server-side components instead of React or Vue pages. htmx and Hotwire's Turbo take a similar server-driven route on any back end. A separate API with Next.js or Nuxt.js is the heavier option. Since March 2026, 164 domains dropped Livewire and kept Inertia, while 38 went the other way.
Which countries use Inertia.js the most?
The United States, with 2,238 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (1,246), Brazil (817), Germany (645), the Netherlands (620) and India (578). The US lead is narrow, about 1.8 American companies per British one, and Brazil ranks third. Indonesia (389), Mexico (206) and Turkey (205) also make the top 15. These counts cover 14,183 matched domains.
What size companies use Inertia.js?
Mostly small ones. 60.31% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 23.40% have 11 to 50, so 83.71% have 50 staff or fewer. 301 companies have more than 1,000 staff, and they usually run Inertia on a single application, such as FNB's events site, Correios's export portal or Elastic's careers pages.
How old are companies that use Inertia.js?
Young. Among matched companies with a known founding year, 39.53% were founded in the 2010s and 30.51% in the 2020s, so 70.04% date from 2010 or later. The 2000s add 13.49%. Only 3.49% predate 1960, among them FNB (1838) and Morgan Advanced Materials (1856), which run Inertia on an events site and an investor site.
What is the ideal customer profile for Inertia.js?
The ideal Inertia.js customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (60.31%), Location: US and UK, then Brazil, Founded: 2010 or later (70.04%), Industry: Software, IT services, internet, Typical app: Login or portal app styled with Tailwind CSS — based on our analysis of 14,183 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.
How does Inertia.js work?
Your server keeps the routes and controllers, and each response names a page component and passes its data. On the first visit that page object is embedded in the HTML; after that, Inertia requests it as JSON with an X-Inertia header and swaps the React, Vue or Svelte page in place. Those two traces are what our crawl detects.
Can Inertia.js be used with React and Laravel?
Yes, and it's Laravel's default way to do it. Laravel's React starter kit pairs React 19 with Inertia 3, TypeScript and shadcn/ui, per laravel.com. The trace shows in our crawl: shadcn/ui runs on 20.65% of Inertia domains and Radix UI, which shadcn/ui is built on, on 18.55%, alongside Tailwind CSS on 81.16%.
Can I use Inertia with Laravel and Vue?
Yes. Laravel's Vue starter kit uses Vue 3 with Inertia 3, TypeScript and shadcn-vue, per laravel.com, and there's a Svelte kit too. Inertia was first shown with Laravel and Vue in 2019. Our company list includes Vue-built Inertia apps such as Universidad San Sebastián's admissions simulator and the Philippine General Hospital's online portal.
Is Inertia.js a framework?
Not in the usual sense. Inertia's own site describes building React, Vue and Svelte apps with server-side routing and no API, so it's an adapter layer: the server framework handles routing and data, the front-end framework renders. That's why its 0.37% share of JavaScript Frameworks undercounts its role; every Inertia app also needs one of those frameworks.
Inertia.js vs Livewire: which should I use?
Pick Inertia if your team wants to write React, Vue or Svelte; pick Livewire to stay in PHP and Blade. Laravel offers starter kits for both. Our crawl shows a lean toward Inertia where sites had both: 164 domains dropped Livewire and kept Inertia since March 2026, while 38 dropped Inertia and kept Livewire.
Does Inertia.js work with Rails or Django?
Yes. Inertia's site says it works with Laravel, Rails, Django, Phoenix and more; Laravel and Rails have official adapters and Django a community one. Ruby on Rails shows on 3.37% of Inertia domains in our October 2026 crawl. Laravel shows on 5.91%, but that's a floor, because a Laravel app can hide the cookie and global we detect it by.
Is Inertia.js free?
Yes. Inertia.js is open-source software under the MIT licence, and its Laravel adapter and client libraries are free to install. There's no paid tier, hosted service or per-seat fee. Laravel's own blog announced Inertia 2.0 in December 2024, and the current Laravel starter kits ship Inertia 3, so the costs are your developers' time and your hosting.
Is Inertia.js dead?
No. Our crawl counts 26,896 live Inertia.js domains in October 2026, against 14,013 in June. Part of that rise is our crawl and detection widening, so don't read it as a doubling, but the October total held near September's 26,184. Laravel's current React, Vue and Svelte starter kits all ship Inertia 3.
