Companies Using Livewire

Our live crawl identifies 30,881 domains running Livewire, resolving to 19,594 identifiable organisations. Named users include ServiceNow, Red Hat, Ethiotelecom, Honda Indonesia, KCB Group and the University of Cape Coast. Livewire ranks 10th in Web Frameworks with 1.67% of the category.

Livewire only runs on Laravel. That makes it the most useful measurement on this page, because Livewire is visible from the browser and Laravel usually is not. Of the 33,940 domains where we currently detect Livewire, only 2,930 also return a Laravel signal. The other 31,010 are running Laravel too, by definition, and our Laravel page cannot see them.

Livewire Usage Statistics

Livewire reads 22,534 domains on our first full monthly rollup in June 2026 and 30,881 by August 2026. Treat the endpoints as measurements and the slope as an artifact. A 37% rise in two months is not how a server-side rendering library spreads, and the new detections land on the same crawl dates that unrelated technologies gained domains on, so the line tracks our expanding coverage rather than adoption. The August number is the one to quote.

List of Companies Using Livewire

The named list below is ordered by company size and covers 50 of the 19,594 matched organisations. The detection host is often a subdomain rather than the main site: shop.servicenow.com and coolstuff.redhat.com are both merchandise stores, and onlineservices.ethiotelecom.et is a self-service portal. That is the normal Livewire deployment shape inside a large company.

Which Countries Use Livewire the Most?

Livewire has the most European distribution of any framework we publish. The United States leads at 2,755 matched companies, but that is only 14.69% of the geographic base. Germany (8.64%), the United Kingdom (8.36%), the Netherlands (7.53%) and France (4.28%) together reach 28.81%, comfortably ahead of it. The Netherlands is the outlier worth noticing: 1,413 companies from a country of about 18 million people.

Share of the 19,594 Livewire domains we matched to a company record — 63.5% of the 30,881 we detect. Top 15 countries shown, so these do not sum to 100%. Domains with no matching company record are not represented here and skew small and independent.

Livewire Market Share Among Web Frameworks

Livewire holds 1.67% of Web Frameworks and ranks 10th. That figure understates its position for a structural reason: the category is led by Microsoft ASP.NET at 46.19%, which we detect from response headers that no one hides, while most PHP frameworks are detected from cookies and headers that production sites suppress. Livewire is measured from a JavaScript global and a script file, so its number is closer to complete than the frameworks ranked above it.

Livewire Customers by Company Size & Age

57.67% of matched Livewire companies employ 1 to 10 people and 24.25% employ 11 to 50, so roughly four in five have fewer than 50 staff. 10.34% are in the 51 to 200 band. The named list runs against that grain because the recognisable organisations here are mostly running a single Livewire application, such as a merchandise store or a student portal, beside a much larger estate built on something else.

What Industries Use Livewire the Most?

The distribution is unusually flat. IT Services and IT Consulting leads at 4.09%, followed by Technology, Information and Internet (3.77%), Software Development (3.64%), Retail (3.61%), Real Estate (3.40%) and Business Consulting and Services (2.59%). No industry exceeds 5%.

Software Development636 (3.64%)
Retail630 (3.61%)
Real Estate593 (3.4%)
Business Consulting and Services452 (2.59%)

A flat industry curve is itself the finding. The three technology categories together account for 11.50%, which is the agencies and consultancies that build with Livewire rather than the businesses that end up running it. Everything after that (retail, real estate, construction, accounting, advertising) is the client list, spread thin because a Laravel shop will build whatever the next customer needs. Compare this with XenForo, where a single industry cluster carries the platform.

Livewire Alternatives & Competitors

Livewire is not really competing with the frameworks it is ranked against. Microsoft ASP.NET (46.19%), Ruby on Rails (10.96%) and Express (7.46%) are backend frameworks; Livewire is a rendering layer that sits inside one. Its actual rival is Inertia.js, which solves the same problem for Laravel teams by shipping a Vue or React front end instead of rendering from PHP. We detect Inertia on 407 live Livewire domains and on 69 domains that dropped Livewire, which makes it 2.67 times over-represented among leavers.

Tech Stack of Livewire-Powered Websites

Tailwind CSS appears on 72.23% of Livewire domains, the tightest pairing in the batch and a fair description of what the Laravel starter kits install by default. Alpine.js reaches 98.04%, but that is not a choice: Livewire version 3 bundles Alpine inside its own script. The interesting number is the remainder. At most 2.0% of Livewire installations do not load Alpine, which puts a floor of 98% on version 3 adoption.

Expert Analysis: Livewire Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

David Thomson
David ThomsonCTO, TechnologyChecker

The best measurement of Laravel on this site is not the Laravel page

Livewire cannot run without Laravel. It is a Laravel package, it registers Laravel routes, and there is no port of it to anything else. So every domain where we detect Livewire is a Laravel domain, with no inference required.

We currently detect Livewire on 33,940 domains. Only 2,930 of them also return a Laravel signal. That is 8.63%. The remaining 31,010 are running Laravel and our Laravel detection cannot see them.

This is not a bug in either rule. It is the difference between two detection surfaces. Laravel is matched from a session cookie and framework headers, and a production Laravel deployment routinely renames the session cookie and strips the headers, because the framework's own documentation suggests it. Livewire is matched from a JavaScript global and a script file that the browser must download for the page to function at all. One signal is optional and the other is load-bearing.

The consequence is arithmetic. We publish Laravel at 92,822 domains. Add the 31,010 Livewire domains that Laravel detection misses and the floor becomes 123,832, a 33.4% understatement, and that is from one package. Anything else that is Laravel-only and browser-visible would push it further. Read our Web Frameworks ranking with that in mind: the gap between ASP.NET at 46.19% and the PHP frameworks below it is partly a real difference in deployment scale and partly a difference in how loudly each stack announces itself.

The exit is to JavaScript, not to another PHP framework

2,158 domains have dropped Livewire since we began tracking it. The obvious way to read that table is wrong twice over.

The largest destination by raw count is Alpine.js, on 400 of those domains. It is not a destination. Livewire version 3 bundles Alpine, so Alpine is present on 98.04% of live Livewire domains and its appearance among leavers is under-represented, not over: 18.54% of churned domains against 98.04% of active ones, a ratio of 0.19. The second largest is Laravel itself at 65 domains, which is not a destination either, because you cannot leave Livewire for the framework it runs inside.

Comparing the rate on churned domains with the rate on live ones sorts this out. Next.js is 4.46 times over-represented among leavers, Nuxt.js 4.06, Express 3.35, Inertia.js 2.67, Angular 2.62, Ruby on Rails 2.27 and React 2.03. Microsoft ASP.NET sits at 1.01, which is coexistence rather than movement, and Vue.js at 0.83 and Svelte at 0.82 are below the line for the same reason.

The one that matters is Inertia.js. It is the only in-ecosystem substitute that clears the bar. Inertia and Livewire answer the same question for Laravel teams, which is how to build a reactive interface without maintaining a separate API, and they answer it in opposite directions: Inertia ships a Vue or React front end, Livewire renders from PHP. A team that changes its mind moves between those two, and 69 of them did. Inertia has no profile on this site yet, so that row is stated here rather than linked.

The traffic runs the other way, and it is larger

Against 689 domains that now run Livewire and have dropped React, and 268 that have dropped Vue.js, the outbound flows of 62 and 108 look small. We checked whether that is real movement or detection flicker by bucketing the drop dates: the React cohort accumulates smoothly across August and early September with no single day carrying more than 7.3% of it, which is not the shape a crawl artifact makes.

So the direction is genuine, and it is the direction Livewire's own pitch predicts: sites replacing a JavaScript front end with server-rendered PHP. We would still read 689 as a floor rather than a headline. Our churn window is about three months old, and a site that quietly removed React two years ago is invisible to it.

What the flat industry curve is telling you

No industry accounts for more than 4.09% of matched Livewire companies. That is unusual. XenForo, published alongside this profile, has a single cluster of games, motoring and sport that defines the platform. Livewire has nothing of the kind.

The reason is who makes the decision. The three technology industries together are 11.50%, and those are the agencies and consultancies that build with Laravel. Everything else, in order, is retail, real estate, construction, financial services and accounting, which is a client list rather than a market. Livewire is chosen by the builder, so it lands wherever the builder's next project lands. The 1 to 10 employee band at 57.67% is the same fact from the other side.

If you sell to Livewire teams, the flat curve means the industry filter is close to useless and the firmographic one is not. A 1 to 10 person agency in Germany, the Netherlands or the United Kingdom is a far better description of this base than any vertical.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Livewire?

Our live crawl finds Livewire on 30,881 domains, resolving to 19,594 identifiable organisations. Named users include ServiceNow, Red Hat, Ethiotelecom, Honda Indonesia and KCB Group. The industry spread is unusually flat, led by IT Services and IT Consulting at 4.09%, because Livewire is chosen by the agency building the site rather than by the sector it serves.

How many customers does Livewire have?

We detect Livewire on 30,881 active domains as of our August 2026 rollup, of which 19,594 resolve to a company record. That is a 63% enrichment rate, high for a developer tool, because Livewire tends to be deployed on a company's real site rather than on a hobby project.

What is Livewire's market share?

Livewire holds 1.67% of Web Frameworks and ranks 10th. The comparison is not like for like: the leaders are backend frameworks detected from server headers, while Livewire is a rendering layer detected from the browser. Within the Laravel ecosystem specifically, Livewire is the largest client-side signal we can measure.

What are the best alternatives to Livewire?

Inertia.js is the direct alternative inside Laravel and the one our churn data supports: it appears on 3.20% of domains that dropped Livewire against 1.20% of live ones, 2.67 times over-represented. Outside Laravel, the destinations we measure are Next.js (4.46 times over-represented among leavers), Nuxt.js and Ruby on Rails.

Which countries use Livewire the most?

The United States leads with 2,755 matched companies, but at 14.69% it is outweighed by Europe. Germany (8.64%), the United Kingdom (8.36%), the Netherlands (7.53%) and France (4.28%) together reach 28.81%. Brazil, Australia and India follow.

What size companies use Livewire?

57.67% of matched companies employ 1 to 10 people and 24.25% employ 11 to 50, so about four in five have fewer than 50 staff. Only 0.32% are in the 10,001-plus band, and those are usually running one Livewire application beside a much larger estate.

How old are companies that use Livewire?

35.11% of matched companies were founded in the 2010s and 23.23% in the 2020s, so more than half postdate 2010. 16.84% were founded in the 2000s and 9.96% in the 1990s. That skew is younger than any PHP framework we publish.

What is the ideal customer profile for Livewire?

A digital agency or IT consultancy of 1 to 10 people, founded in the 2010s, based in Western Europe or the United States, building client sites on Laravel. The second recurring profile is a large organisation running one internal or customer-facing Livewire application, such as a merchandise store or a self-service portal.

Does Livewire require Laravel?

Yes. Livewire is a Laravel package and cannot run without it. That is what makes it useful as a measurement: every one of the 33,940 domains where we currently detect Livewire is running Laravel, whether or not Laravel itself is detectable there.

How many Livewire sites also show Laravel?

Only 2,930 of 33,940, which is 8.63%. Laravel is detected from a session cookie and an X-Powered-By style signal that production deployments routinely suppress, while Livewire ships a JavaScript global and a script file that have to be served for the page to work. The gap is a measurement artifact of the two detection surfaces, not a fact about the sites.

Is Laravel bigger than our Laravel page says?

Yes, by at least a third. We publish Laravel on 92,822 domains. Livewire adds 31,010 domains that are certainly running Laravel and carry no Laravel signal, which puts a floor of 123,832 on the real figure. That is a lower bound from one package, so the true understatement is larger.

What version of Livewire are most sites running?

At least 98% are on version 3 or later. Version 3 bundles Alpine.js inside its own script, so every version 3 page sets the Alpine global. We see Alpine on 98.04% of Livewire domains, which leaves at most 2.0% that could be running version 2 or earlier.

What does Livewire detection actually measure?

We match Livewire on its JavaScript global and on the livewire.js script file it serves from the application's own domain. Both are emitted by a running installation, so a match means the framework is executing on the page we crawled, not merely installed somewhere in the project.
