Companies Using Alpine.js

Our October 2026 crawl finds Alpine.js on 226,035 live domains, once 78,396 domain-for-sale pages built on one marketplace's template are taken out. Most of what's left is small sites styled with Tailwind CSS, which runs on 79.87% of them. A good part of the rest got Alpine through someone else's decision: 16.42% also run Livewire, which ships its own copy of Alpine, and thousands of State Farm agents' websites load it from a shared template. Below is the list of companies that use Alpine.js. T-Mobile, Genentech, Bombardier and the shipping line MSC are among the large ones.

Alpine.js ranks 6th of the 69 technologies we track in JavaScript Frameworks, with 3.16% of the category on the cleaned count. React (41.32%) and Vue.js (14.75%) are far bigger, but they build a different kind of site. Alpine adds behaviour to HTML a server has already rendered, so its nearest rival is htmx, not React. 57.49% of the companies we matched have 10 or fewer staff.

Alpine.js Usage Statistics

One point: 226,035 live domains in October 2026, counted without the 78,396 domain-for-sale pages described at the end of this page. Our earlier monthly totals for Alpine.js include those pages, so the chart starts at the first month we cleaned. Expect later points to move for two reasons besides adoption: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and new ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. Since we began tracking it in March 2026, 21,622 domains have dropped Alpine.js, a raw figure that includes for-sale pages that went offline.

List of Companies Using Alpine.js

Who uses Alpine.js? This list of companies that use Alpine.js names 50 of the 121,362 matched companies. Every row loaded Alpine.js, or carried its x-data markup, when we checked in October 2026, and none is a domain-for-sale page. 29 of the 50 run it on a subdomain, so at a large organisation the Alpine.js customer is usually the team behind one site: SAP's newsroom, UNICEF's knowledge portal, Datadog's investor pages.

Alpine.js Market Share Among JavaScript Frameworks

What is Alpine.js's market share? On the cleaned count, 3.16% of JavaScript Frameworks, 6th of the 69 technologies we track there, counting domains at TechnologyChecker.io. Our API still counts Alpine.js raw, 300,356 domains and 4.15% in October's figures, because it includes the for-sale pages; it's 6th either way. React holds 41.32% and Vue.js 14.75%. React's 2,987,269 domains are about 13 times Alpine's 226,035, which says more about what each tool is for than about which one is winning.

Alpine.js Customers by Company Size & Age

What size companies use Alpine.js? Mostly the smallest ones. 57.49% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 24.81% have 11 to 50, so 82.30% have 50 staff or fewer. The State Farm agent sites add to the small end, since each one is a single agency. 2,185 companies have more than 1,000 staff, and at those Alpine often sits on one property: Home Depot's Eco Actions site, ServiceNow's online shop, Levi Strauss's retiree-benefits site.

Company Size Distribution

Company Age (Founded Decade)

The largest group of matched companies was founded in the 2010s (34.01%), and the 2020s add 20.50%, so 54.51% were founded in 2010 or later. The 2000s hold 16.37%. The old end is wide too: 8.32% predate 1960, including the Metropolitan Police (1829), Levi Strauss (1853) and Burberry (1856). Inertia.js, which people use to build single-page apps, skews younger: 30.51% of its matched companies were founded in the 2020s.

What Industries Use Alpine.js the Most?

Insurance leads at 7.87%, and that is mostly one template rather than an industry picking a framework. State Farm agents' own websites load Alpine.js from a shared design, and about nine in ten of the Insurance matches we checked carry a State Farm page title. Below it the table is flat: Retail (4.97%), Software Development (3.46%) and IT Services and IT Consulting (3.30%), with no other industry above 3%, based on our enriched company data at TechnologyChecker.io.

IT Services and IT Consulting3,505 (3.3%)
Real Estate2,956 (2.78%)

Insurance agencies using Alpine.js are mostly State Farm agents on sites that share one template, Invoca call tracking included. Universities using Alpine.js include Michigan on its registrar's site, UBC, Berkeley's giving site, Northeastern and UC Riverside's library. Health systems on Alpine.js include IU Health, UCLA Health, Montefiore and SEHA in Abu Dhabi, where it arrives with Livewire.

Alpine.js Alternatives & Competitors

The table ranks by domains, and the rows above Alpine.js mostly build a different kind of site. React (41.32%) and Vue.js (14.75%) render whole applications in the browser. Alpine adds behaviour to HTML a server has already sent, which is why its closest rival, htmx, sits in another category. The two are often used together: per htmx's profile, Alpine.js runs on 26.55% of htmx domains. Svelte (2.73%), Angular (2.04%) and AngularJS (1.42%) are the nearest rows by size.

Alpine.js Customer Migration

The two big rows aren't decisions to swap a library for Alpine. Since we began tracking in March 2026, 16,555 Alpine.js domains dropped jQuery (13,988 of them in the last 90 days) and 9,460 dropped React, but both libraries lost domains right across our crawl in those months. React's row runs about ten to one (9,460 against 925 the other way), which fits that crawl-wide drop better than a wave of rewrites. The smaller rows are closer to real choices: 1,803 domains left Vue.js and kept Alpine while 1,105 went the other way, and htmx moved 216 one way and 108 back. All counts are domains.

Tech Stack of Alpine.js-Powered Websites

Across the 226,035 cleaned domains, the base for every percentage here, Tailwind CSS runs on 79.87%, so Alpine nearly always arrives with utility-class CSS. Livewire is on 16.42%, and since current Livewire bundles Alpine, most of those sites didn't choose it separately; Laravel's own marker shows on only 2.53% because a Laravel app can hide it. WordPress is on 19.91% and Shopify on 15.47%. Invoca reaches 4.84%, mostly through the State Farm agent template, which loaded Invoca's call tracking on every agent page we opened.

How We Counted Alpine.js Sites

A domain counts here if a page on it exposes Alpine.js in the browser: the global object Alpine or Alpine.version, the older deferLoadingAlpine hook, or a script file named alpine.js or alpine.min.js. That test is clean, and it counts Alpine wherever it arrives, including the copy Livewire ships inside its own script and templates that a platform applies to thousands of sites at once, such as State Farm's agent pages.

304,431 live domains passed the test. Before computing anything, we removed 78,396 of them that aren't Alpine.js customers, almost all of them domain-for-sale pages that one domain marketplace builds with Alpine.js and Tailwind. 70,255 carried a for-sale or gambling page title, such as "ContainerCentre.com is for sale - Premium Domain for sale". 76,089 carried the template's fingerprint, HubSpot, Hotjar, Crazy Egg and Amazon S3 all running on one Alpine page; 67,948 of those also had a for-sale title and 7,067 had no title we could crawl. We removed every domain that matched either test, and opened four of the pages to confirm what they were. The same pages also turn up in Hotjar's, HubSpot's and Crazy Egg's counts.

Every chart and table on this page uses the remaining 226,035, with three exceptions. Our API hasn't had this correction and counts Alpine.js raw: 300,356 domains and 4.15% in October's figures. On the cleaned count it has 3.16%, and it's 6th either way. The 21,622 domains that dropped Alpine.js since March 2026 is a raw count that includes for-sale pages. And the switching table was counted before the cleanup, though when we checked, for-sale pages were a small share of its jQuery and React rows. Because our earlier monthly totals include the for-sale pages, the usage chart starts in October 2026.

Expert Analysis: Alpine.js Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

David Thomson
David ThomsonCTO, TechnologyChecker

I'm David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io, and I look after the detection rules behind this page. Alpine.js is easy to detect and hard to count. Our October 2026 crawl found 304,431 live domains exposing it, and about a quarter of them were domain-for-sale pages, almost all built from one marketplace's template. After removing those, Alpine.js runs on 226,035 domains, 121,362 of them matched to a company, 6th of 69 in JavaScript Frameworks with 3.16% of the category.

A quarter of the raw count was for sale

One domain marketplace builds its for-sale pages with Alpine.js and Tailwind, so every parked domain it lists looks like an Alpine site. We removed 78,396 of them, about one in four of the 304,431, by page title ("is for sale") and by the template's fingerprint, HubSpot, Hotjar, Crazy Egg and Amazon S3 together on one Alpine page. Our API's October count still includes them, which is why it reads 300,356. The usage chart has a single October point for the same reason: the earlier monthly totals include those pages.

Even the cleaned number won't hold still. The set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites leaving and new ones arriving, and our detection widens over time, so the next points will move for reasons that aren't adoption. 21,622 domains dropped Alpine.js since we started tracking in March 2026, and that raw figure includes for-sale pages that went offline.

"A quarter of the Alpine.js domains we first counted were for-sale pages, nearly all from one marketplace. Take those out and Alpine is still on 226,035 sites, but a good share of them got it through someone else's decision." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: if you bought an Alpine.js list from a source that counts raw detections, about a quarter of it may be parked domains. Filter out for-sale page titles before anyone writes an email.

Who chose it, and who inherited it

Three groups make up the cleaned count. The first chose Alpine directly, usually beside Tailwind CSS, which runs on 79.87% of Alpine domains. The second got it with Livewire: Livewire's documentation says it ships with Alpine out of the box, and Livewire runs on 16.42% of Alpine domains. The third got it from a template: State Farm agents' own websites share one Alpine design, and 12,989 Alpine domains carry State Farm in their page title.

The companies are small: 57.49% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees. The large ones usually run Alpine on one property. T-Mobile is the exception, serving Alpine 3.15 from its own script bundle on www.t-mobile.com. SAP uses it on its newsroom, Home Depot on its Eco Actions site, Vanguard on its adviser site. Versions vary too. Of the 28 company pages where our browser read a version number, 7 still run Alpine 2.8, including Genentech, MSC and the NBA's help centre. The other 21 run version 3.

Sales Signal: an Alpine 2.x page is probably a front end nobody has revisited in a while. Agencies selling rebuilds or accessibility work should start with those rows, and should treat Livewire sites as Laravel shops, not as Alpine buyers.

Insurance agents and a Dutch tilt

Insurance leads the industry table at 7.87%, and about nine in ten of the Insurance matches we checked carry a State Farm page title. Take the agents out and nothing passes 5%: Retail is 4.97% and Software Development 3.46%. Geography says more. The United States has 37,691 matched companies and the United Kingdom 10,556, but the Netherlands (7,117) almost matches Germany (7,860), and the Netherlands and Belgium together reach 10,218, about level with the UK.

Sales Signal: treat the Netherlands as a first-tier market for Alpine-related services, level with Germany (7,117 matched companies against 7,860), rather than as an add-on to a DACH campaign.

What the switching table can and can't tell you

The table says 16,555 Alpine domains dropped jQuery and 9,460 dropped React since March 2026. Neither is a migration trend. Both libraries lost domains across our whole crawl in the same months, and in the last 90 days alone 1,270,671 domains dropped React, Alpine sites or not. React's ten-to-one ratio (9,460 against 925) is that drop showing through. The rows I'd read are smaller: 1,803 domains left Vue.js and kept Alpine while 1,105 went the other way, and htmx moved 216 one way and 108 back. All of these are domains, counted before the for-sale cleanup, and the for-sale pages are a small share of them.

"Nobody rewrote 9,460 React sites in Alpine. React lost domains all over our crawl that quarter, and Alpine sites were no exception." - David Thomson, CTO at TechnologyChecker.io

Sales Signal: don't pitch a React-to-Alpine migration story; the data doesn't support it. The Vue.js flow, 1,803 against 1,105, is the one that may reflect real decisions, and it's modest.

The stack around it

Tailwind CSS (79.87%) defines the typical Alpine site, with Bootstrap on 22.32%. WordPress is on 19.91% and Shopify on 15.47%, so plenty of Alpine arrives inside a theme rather than a custom build. Laravel's own marker shows on only 2.53%, well under Livewire's 16.42%, because a Laravel app can hide its cookie and global; every Livewire site runs Laravel anyway. Statamic (1.87%) and Craft CMS (1.51%) are smaller CMS rows. Google Analytics is on 57.08%, and Invoca's 4.84% comes mostly with the State Farm template.

Sales Signal: for Laravel tooling, hosting or support, filter this list on Livewire and you get a cleaner Laravel prospect list than Laravel's own detection gives you.

What it costs

Nothing. Alpine.js is MIT-licensed, copyright Caleb Porzio and contributors, the same name on Livewire's licence. The money around it is in add-ons, such as the Alpine UI Components library sold on alpinejs.dev, and in the agencies that build with it.

Sales Signal: there's no licence to displace and no vendor to compete with. Sell to Alpine sites on what they lack, such as component libraries, testing or front-end support, not on replacing Alpine.

Key takeaways

1. 226,035 live domains after removing 78,396 for-sale pages, 6th of 69 with 3.16%.

2. A large share is inherited: Livewire on 16.42%, plus State Farm's agent template.

3. Small companies dominate (57.49% at 1 to 10 staff), and the enterprise users mostly run it on one subdomain.

4. Tailwind CSS on 79.87% is the defining pairing.

5. The big jQuery and React switching rows reflect crawl-wide drops, not migrations.

How to use this list

Filter by company size and country, separate Livewire sites from the rest, and drop the State Farm agent template if you sell to agencies rather than insurers. Frequently Asked Questions

Who uses Alpine.js?

Mostly small sites styled with Tailwind CSS, plus a real enterprise tail. Our October 2026 crawl finds Alpine.js on 226,035 live domains once domain-for-sale pages are removed. 57.49% of matched companies have 10 or fewer staff, and thousands of State Farm agent sites share one Alpine template. Large users include T-Mobile, SAP's newsroom, Genentech, Bombardier, MSC and ServiceNow's online shop.

How many customers does Alpine.js have?

Our October 2026 crawl finds Alpine.js on 226,035 live domains, 121,362 of them matched to a company. That's after we removed 78,396 domain-for-sale pages, mostly one marketplace's Alpine template; counted raw, as our API's October figures do, it's 300,356. Read the figure as domains, not paying customers: Alpine is free, and many sites got it inside Livewire or a shared template.

What is Alpine.js's market share?

On the cleaned count, 3.16% of JavaScript Frameworks, 6th of the 69 technologies we track there, on 226,035 domains. Our API's October figures show 4.15% and 300,356 domains because they include domain-for-sale pages; the rank is 6th either way. React (41.32%) and Vue.js (14.75%) lead, but they build client-side applications, a different job from Alpine's.

What are the best alternatives to Alpine.js?

For a server-rendered site, htmx is the closest alternative, and the two often run together: Alpine.js is on 26.55% of htmx domains, per htmx's profile. Plain JavaScript or jQuery covers small jobs. If the page is turning into an application, Vue.js, Svelte or React fit better. Since March 2026, 1,803 domains left Vue.js and kept Alpine, and 1,105 went the other way.

Which countries use Alpine.js the most?

The United States, with 37,691 matched companies, then the United Kingdom (10,556), Germany (7,860) and the Netherlands (7,117). The Dutch figure stands out: add Belgium (3,101) and the two come to 10,218, about level with the UK. Australia (4,078), Brazil (3,238) and India (2,808) lead outside Europe and North America. These counts cover 121,362 matched domains.

What size companies use Alpine.js?

Mostly the smallest ones. 57.49% of matched companies with a known size have 1 to 10 employees and 24.81% have 11 to 50, so 82.30% have 50 staff or fewer. Thousands of single-agency State Farm sites add to that. 2,185 companies have more than 1,000 staff, including T-Mobile, SAP, Genentech, Bombardier and MSC, often on one subdomain rather than the main site.

How old are companies that use Alpine.js?

Among matched companies with a known founding year, the largest group was founded in the 2010s (34.01%), then the 2020s (20.50%) and the 2000s (16.37%), so 54.51% date from 2010 or later. The old tail is wide: 8.32% predate 1960, including the Metropolitan Police (1829), Levi Strauss (1853) and Burberry (1856), which runs Alpine on its careers site.

What is the ideal customer profile for Alpine.js?

The ideal Alpine.js customer is: Company Size: 1-10 employees (57.49%), Location: US, then UK, Germany, Netherlands, Founded: 2010-2019 (34.01%), Industry: Insurance agents, retail, software, Typical site: Server-rendered, styled with Tailwind CSS — based on our analysis of 121,362 enriched companies at TechnologyChecker.io.

What is Alpine.js used for?

Alpine.js adds behaviour to HTML in the page itself: dropdowns, tabs, modals, toggles and small forms, written as attributes like x-data and x-show. Its site calls it "jQuery for the modern web". In our crawl it sits on server-rendered sites, next to Tailwind CSS on 79.87% of domains, WordPress on 19.91% and Livewire on 16.42%.

Is Alpine.js like Tailwind?

They work on different layers. Tailwind CSS styles a page with utility classes, while Alpine.js adds behaviour with attributes, but both keep the work in the HTML, which is why people compare them. They also travel together: Tailwind CSS runs on 79.87% of the 226,035 Alpine.js domains in our October 2026 crawl, the most common pairing we see on Alpine sites.

Can Alpine.js replace React?

On a server-rendered site that needs menus, tabs and modals, often yes. For a large client-side application, React is the usual fit. Our data doesn't show Alpine displacing React: 9,460 Alpine domains dropped React since March 2026, but React lost domains right across our crawl in the same months, and 925 sites went from Alpine to React.

Is Alpine.js worth it?

We can't judge that for you, but we can show who relies on it. Alpine.js runs on 226,035 live domains in our October 2026 crawl, including T-Mobile's main site, SAP's newsroom and Genentech. Current Livewire ships it by default, so every new Livewire app depends on it. Some large sites still run Alpine 2.8, which suggests teams rarely revisit it once it works.

Is Alpine.js free?

Yes. Alpine.js is open source under the MIT licence, copyright Caleb Porzio and contributors, and you load it from a CDN or install it from npm at no cost. There's no plan, seat or traffic fee. Paid products exist around it, such as the Alpine UI Components library sold on alpinejs.dev, but the framework itself costs nothing.

Alpine.js vs htmx: which should I use?

They solve different halves of the same job. htmx swaps in HTML from the server, while Alpine.js handles state inside the browser, such as an open menu. Many sites run both: Alpine is on 26.55% of htmx domains, per htmx's profile. Our switching data is small, with 216 domains leaving htmx for Alpine and 108 going the other way since March 2026.

Does Livewire use Alpine.js?

Yes. Livewire's documentation says it ships with Alpine out of the box, so a Livewire app doesn't install Alpine separately. That's visible in our data: Livewire runs on 16.42% of the 226,035 Alpine.js domains in our October 2026 crawl, and on current Livewire versions those sites get Alpine with it. ServiceNow's shop and Red Hat's merchandise store are two examples.

Which websites run Alpine.js through a shared template?

The largest group we found is State Farm agents' own websites, which share one design that loads Alpine.js and Invoca call tracking. They explain most of the Insurance industry's 7.87% on this page. A domain marketplace's for-sale pages were bigger still, 78,396 domains, and we removed them before counting. Livewire apps get Alpine bundled in.
