Companies Using Chakra UI

Chakra UI needed two corrections before its numbers meant anything, and one of them is still in the count on purpose. As of our October 2026 crawl, TechnologyChecker.io detects Chakra UI on 18,179 domains, and 10,523 of them match a company record, a 57.9% match rate. We removed 5,803 copies of one Indonesian store page first. Then we found that 2,677 of the remaining domains are sites published with Gamma. Set those two groups aside and what's left is a list of teams that write their own React front ends.

What the signal catches

Our rule reads the markers Chakra puts on a page: a color-mode class on the body or style on the html element, portal and container elements, and script addresses that include chakra-ui (our post on technology detection methods explains how signals like these are matched). Chakra is published under the MIT licence, with Chakra Systems Inc. named as copyright holder on GitHub, and npm lists @chakra-ui/react 3.37.0, released on 28 August 2026, with @emotion/react as a peer dependency. Emotion runs on 96.49% of these domains, which is a good check that the signal is reading Chakra.

The removal was large. 5,670 raw matches were copies of footlocker.id, Footlocker Indonesia's Magento store, on expired domains that now serve gambling pages. A copied page carries every library the original used, so each copy matched.

One product is 15% of the count

Gamma, the AI presentation and website builder, renders the sites its users publish with Chakra, and Chakra's Showcase page lists Gamma among its featured users. Every Gamma site we opened loaded Gamma's assets alongside Chakra's markup. These are real businesses, mostly small firms and consultancies, but none of them chose Chakra.

Sales Signal: Filter Gamma out before you build a developer-tool list. What remains, 15,502 domains, is mostly teams that wrote React code with Chakra. Keep the Gamma rows for offers aimed at small businesses that publish their own sites.

Growth trajectory

We publish one clean point, October 2026, because earlier monthly totals still held the copies. Even from here the counts won't be a like-for-like series: the set of domains we crawl turns over every month, with dead sites dropping out and newly found ones added, and our detection signals widen over time. Exits look large, 9,167 domains since we began tracking Chakra on 16 March 2026, but that figure predates the cleaning, and about two-thirds of the drops were domains that had carried the copied store. 365 of them still run Chakra on another hostname.

Sales Signal: Don't build a "teams leaving Chakra" campaign from the exit count. Most of it is copies of one store going dark, not developers changing libraries.

The companies behind the domains

59.46% of matched companies with a size band have 1 to 10 employees, and 74.59% of those with a founding year date from 2010 or later; 40.69% are from the 2020s alone. The enterprise tail is 304 companies above 1,000 staff. In our named list, 33 of 50 sit on a subdomain. Charles River Laboratories, Carter's, Rent-A-Center, Premier Inn and the World Economic Forum run Chakra on their main sites; BMO on its capital-markets site, Epic on its Showroom and Saudi Aramco on its China site.

A second, smaller bundle sits inside the enterprise rows. EngagementHQ, Granicus's public-consultation platform, builds its sites with Chakra, and we found it on 223 Chakra domains. Eight of our 50 named companies are councils and agencies on it, from Kent County Council to Alberta Health Services.

Sales Signal: At a large account, sell to the team behind the detected app. For EngagementHQ rows, the council chose a consultation vendor, so a front-end pitch should go to Granicus, not the council.

Industry and geography

Software Development (8.95%), Technology, Information and Internet (6.97%) and IT Services (5.86%) add up to 21.78%, with Financial Services (4.23%) and Real Estate (3.9%) next. The United States leads with 3,111 matched companies, 29.6% of the 10,523, and Brazil is second with 727, ahead of the UK (546) and India (471). Nubank runs Chakra on its business login, and Nigeria (183) is level with the Netherlands (184).

Sales Signal: Brazil is the market to look at after the US. A Portuguese-language campaign aimed at Chakra teams there reaches the second-largest group in the table.

Why this profile has no migration table

We looked at what Chakra sites run next to it. Of 2,102 domains ever seen with Chakra and Radix UI, 1,046 still run both; for shadcn/ui it is 744 of 1,476, and for Material UI 302 of 1,048. Those overlaps include teams adding a library and teams part-way through a rebuild, and our tests couldn't separate the two cleanly, so we don't publish switching rows.

Sales Signal: A domain with both Chakra and shadcn/ui is a team with two component layers to maintain. That is a consolidation conversation for design-system tooling and agencies, not proof of a migration.

Reading the stack

These percentages are of the 18,179 clean live domains. Next.js runs on 65.7% and Turbopack on 23.55%. Svelte's 15.42% is almost all Gamma. The monitoring stack is heavier than the company sizes suggest: Sentry on 34.62%, Datadog on 20.29%, Segment on 18.35%. Framer Motion runs on 28.41% and Tailwind CSS on 23.95%. Vercel hosts 21.84%.

Sales Signal: Sentry and Datadog at these rates point to product teams that ship and monitor their own software. Chakra plus Next.js plus Sentry is a tight filter for observability, testing and developer-tool vendors.

Public sites versus installs

npm downloads put Chakra in a different position from its domain count. In September 2026 @chakra-ui/react was downloaded 6,974,670 times, less than half of antd's 15,382,709. Our crawl only sees public pages, and component kits used behind logins are undercounted there.

Sales Signal: A Chakra detection is more likely to sit on a company's public site, so it suits outreach that references something the prospect can see, such as page speed, accessibility or design consistency.

How to use this list

Exclude Gamma, then filter Chakra UI with Next.js and a company size of 11 to 200 employees; those bands hold 32.01% of matched companies. Read the detection URL last: a main-site hit suggests a company-wide front end, a subdomain one product team.

A workable opener: "I saw [surface] is built with Chakra UI on Next.js, which usually means your team owns its React front end. Here is how [product] helps teams keep that front end fast and consistent."
