Our live crawl identifies 10,987 companies using Airtable, and 9,472 of them resolve to a named organization. The list of companies using Airtable below runs from two-person studios to brands that use Airtable like Accenture, Deloitte, FedEx, Shell, and Ford, with market share, industry, company size, and country breakdowns alongside the technologies these teams run next to it.

Most entries here are organizations that verified ownership of their domain inside Airtable, which is an administrative step rather than a page script. That makes this list unusually clean for prospecting, and it also sets its limits: it shows where Airtable has been formally adopted, not how heavily any one team uses it today.

Airtable Usage Statistics

Airtable appears on 10,987 domains in our live crawl, up from 9,600 when our current detection began reporting in June 2026. Our long-run detection history tracks the earlier climb, from 2 domains at the end of 2016 to 5,973 by December 2024. The step between the two segments reflects widening coverage as much as new adoption, so read each segment on its own rather than as one continuous curve.

There are 10,987 companies and websites using Airtable, sign up to download the entire Airtable dataset.

A verification record proves an organization claimed its domain inside Airtable, which usually accompanies single sign-on or managed user accounts. It does not measure how many bases a company runs or how often staff open them, and a record can outlive the subscription that created it. Treat these names as confirmed Airtable accounts rather than as evidence of daily use.

Which Countries Use Airtable the Most?

The United States accounts for 55.07% of Airtable customers we can place by country, followed by the United Kingdom at 8.01%. France ranks third at 5.69%, ahead of Australia, Canada, and Germany, which is unusual for a US workplace tool. Notion shows almost the same French share at 5.61%, roughly double what Slack, Miro, or Atlassian record, so this looks like a French preference for flexible workspace tools rather than something specific to Airtable.

Airtable Market Share Among Productivity & Collaboration

Airtable holds 2.83% of the Productivity & Collaboration category, ranking #9 of 44 technologies TechnologyChecker.io tracks there. It sits just ahead of Notion (10,210 domains) and behind Smartsheet (13,744), Miro (17,400), and Slack (19,283). Atlassian leads the category at roughly 34% because its signal spans Jira, Confluence, and Trello together, so the gap to every standalone tool is wide by design.

Airtable Customers by Company Size & Age

65.97% of Airtable customers employ fewer than 50 people, the highest small-company share of any domain-verified tool in this category, above Slack (60.93%) and Notion (60.82%). Only 8.92% employ more than 1,000. The household names at the top of the list are real, but they are the exception: Airtable's distribution is a long tail of small teams with a short enterprise head, not an enterprise rollout.

What Industries Use Airtable the Most?

No single industry passes 4.79%, which is what a genuinely horizontal tool looks like. Software Development leads at 4.79%, but Non-profit Organizations rank second at 4.50% and Venture Capital and Private Equity firms rank fourth at 3.44%, both far above where they land for comparable tools.

Technology, Information and Internet363 (3.98%)
Venture Capital and Private Equity Principals314 (3.44%)
Advertising Services313 (3.43%)
Financial Services311 (3.41%)

Those two verticals are the clearest signal on this page. Against eight peers detected the same way, Airtable leads both: non-profits at 4.50% against 0.97% for Notion and around 1.6% for Miro and DocuSign, and venture capital at 3.44% against 2.16% for Notion and just 0.21% for Atlassian and Miro. Both buyers have the same problem, which is a real need for a shared relational database and no engineering team to build one. Grant pipelines and deal flow are the two workloads that push an organization past a spreadsheet fastest.

Airtable Alternatives & Competitors

Airtable's closest measured neighbors are Notion, which trails it by 777 domains, and Smartsheet, which leads it by 2,757. All three are detected the same way, through a vendor-specific domain verification record, so these counts are directly comparable rather than an artifact of one tool being easier to spot than another. Slack and Miro rank higher on domains but solve different problems, which is why buyers rarely evaluate them against Airtable head to head.

Tech Stack of Airtable-Powered Websites

WordPress sits alongside Airtable on 32.22% of these domains and Google Analytics on 62.87%, both ordinary for this category. Squarespace at 6.80% is not ordinary: that is the highest share of any peer we measured, more than double Notion's 3.11% and four times Smartsheet's 1.70%, and it matches the small-team skew in the size data. Atlassian (16.58%), DocuSign (9.23%), and Zoom (8.90%) mark the enterprise end of the same list.

Airtable Customer Reviews with Pros and Cons

Based on aggregated G2 reviews (2,708 total mentions), Airtable scores highest for ease of use. The most common criticism relates to learning curve steep.

Generated from real user reviews on G2

Pros
  • The dominant theme is how fast a non-technical team gets productive: reviewers describe standing up a working tracker in an afternoon, with no developer time and no training.(507 reviews)
  • Automations draw steady praise for handling record updates, reminders, and scheduled outbound email, replacing the manual copying that previously moved between spreadsheets and inboxes.(308 reviews)
  • Reviewers point to the range of jobs a single base absorbs, from content calendars to inventory and applicant tracking, without buying a separate tool for each one.(292 reviews)
  • Teams value how far a base reshapes as requirements change, adding fields, views, and links between tables without rebuilding the work already in place.(285 reviews)
  • The grid and views interface reads as familiar enough to hand to a colleague, presenting the same records as kanban, calendar, or gallery without duplicating data.(280 reviews)
Cons
  • The most frequent complaint is the jump from spreadsheet to relational thinking: linked records and table structure are where reviewers say new users stall, and large tables compound it.(261 reviews)
  • Reviewers want deeper native integrations, describing gaps that push teams toward third-party connectors or scripting to move data between Airtable and the rest of their stack.(253 reviews)
  • Customization limits draw separate criticism, with reviewers describing conditional logic and interface options as thinner than the underlying data model deserves.(225 reviews)
  • Formula syntax is called out on its own, with reviewers describing the function language, and the editor around it, as unfriendly to people arriving from Excel.(154 reviews)
  • Pricing is the most cited ceiling: per-seat costs climb quickly, and reviewers object to paying a full seat for read-only or occasional users.(143 reviews)

Expert Analysis: Airtable Growth Trends & Key Signals for Sales Teams in 2026

Emma Davies
Emma DaviesData Analyst, TechnologyChecker

I build prospect lists for a living, so the first question I ask about any technology count is what physical thing had to be true for a domain to land on it. For Airtable the answer is unusually specific, and it changes how you should use this list.

Airtable is detected two ways. The primary signal is a DNS TXT record of the form airtable-verification=<token>, which an administrator publishes to prove the organization owns the domain. The secondary signal is a public link from the site to an Airtable base or form. I sampled 70 live domains from this list and checked both: 51 carried the verification record and another eight exposed links to their own bases once I loaded the pages in a real browser rather than fetching the HTML. Seven I could not reproduce, which is the normal residue of sites that changed since their last scan.

A domain verification record is an act of IT administration, not a page script. It tells you an organization formalized Airtable. It does not tell you anyone opened a base this morning.

That distinction cuts both ways, and it is worth being blunt about the weaker side. A TXT record survives until somebody deliberately removes it, and almost nobody prunes DNS after cancelling a subscription. We have watched only 560 domains drop Airtable since March 2026, against 10,987 active, and I do not read that 4.6% as a real churn rate. It is the rate at which organizations tidy their DNS. For the same reason we are not publishing a migration table on this page: the underlying churn is too thin to say anything honest about who moved where.

What the signal is genuinely good for is confirmation. When I checked the 24 largest organizations here by headcount, every one returned a live Airtable verification record with its own distinct token. Accenture, Deloitte, DHL, FedEx, Shell, Abbott, Ford, Cisco, Bayer, IKEA, GSK. There is no shared string that could be matching something else, because each record carries a per-account hash. For a prospecting list, a signal with a verifiable per-account token is worth considerably more than a script tag that any template can copy.

The interesting result is what sits underneath that blue-chip head. 65.97% of these organizations employ fewer than 50 people, and only 8.92% employ more than 1,000. I checked that against eight tools detected through the same kind of verification record, because a comparison is only fair when the detection method matches, and Airtable has the highest small-company share of all of them, above Slack and above Notion. The enterprise names are real, but they are a short head on a very long tail.

Two verticals stand out enough that I went looking for a reason. Non-profits are 4.50% of Airtable's customers against 0.97% of Notion's, and venture capital and private equity firms are 3.44% against 0.21% for Atlassian and Miro. Notion is the useful comparison here because our detection rules for the two products are structurally identical, so the gap is a fact about who buys them rather than a quirk of measurement. In the live sample I looked at, the VC domains were running Airtable forms as inbound deal-flow intake. That is the shape of the buyer: an organization that needs a shared relational database, has no engineers to spare, and has a queue of inbound submissions to triage.

Grant pipelines and deal flow are the two workloads that push a small organization past a spreadsheet fastest, and neither has an engineering budget attached.

One finding did not survive checking, and it is worth recording. I expected Webflow to be strongly over-represented, since Airtable plus Webflow is a well-known pattern. It sits on 10.02% of these domains, but on 13.61% of Notion's and 13.87% of Zapier's, so Airtable is mid-pack and the claim is not there. Squarespace is the one that held up at 6.80%, more than double Notion's share and the highest in the peer group, which fits the small-team profile far better than an agency tool would.

Geography produced the one result I would flag as shared rather than distinctive. France is Airtable's third largest market at 5.69% of the customers we can place, ahead of Australia, Canada, and Germany, which is not where a US workplace tool usually lands. My first instinct was to write that up as an Airtable strength. Then I ran the same measurement across the peer group and found Notion at 5.61%, effectively identical, while Slack, Miro, and Atlassian all sit near half that. So the finding is real but it is not Airtable's: French organizations over-index on flexible workspace tools generally. I would rather report that accurately than claim a win that belongs to a category.

The age data contains a quieter surprise. 61.33% of these organizations were founded in 2010 or later, which reads as a young customer base until you compare it. Notion sits at 72.14% and Slack at 71.51%, so Airtable is the least startup-weighted of the three. Nearly a quarter of its customers predate 2000, and 7.94% were founded before 1960. That matches the shape of the top of this list, where the verified names are industrial and pharmaceutical companies a century old. Airtable has done something its closest comparison has not, which is reach established organizations without losing the small teams that adopted it first.

Two limits are worth stating before anyone builds a campaign on this. First, the count leans on domain verification, so an organization that quietly embeds a public Airtable base on one page, never links to it, and never verifies its domain is one we are likely to miss. The direction of that error is knowable even though its size is not, because a site we cannot see never enters the sample we could measure it from. This list undercounts rather than overcounts. Second, 9,472 of the 10,987 domains resolve to a named organization, an 86% match rate that is high for this kind of data and reflects that verified domains belong to real registered companies, but the remaining 1,515 are still absent from every industry, size, and country breakdown on this page.

If you are working this list, the practical read is straightforward. Sort by company size and treat the two ends as different motions. The enterprise head is a governance conversation, because a verified domain usually means someone has already had the shadow IT discussion and wants managed accounts. The long tail is a product-led conversation with a team that picked Airtable themselves. The one thing I would not do is quote the total as a usage number. At TechnologyChecker.io we would rather publish a number with a known meaning than a bigger number with a vague one, and here the honest meaning is 10,987 organizations that have formally claimed Airtable, of which 9,472 we can name.

How many companies use Airtable?

Our live crawl identifies 10,987 domains using Airtable, and 9,472 of those resolve to a named organization we can profile by industry, size, and country. That figure counts organizations that verified their domain inside Airtable or publicly link to their own bases, so it measures formal adoption rather than how frequently teams open a base.

What are the biggest companies using Airtable?

The largest verified Airtable customers include Accenture, Deloitte, DHL Express, FedEx, Shell, Abbott, HP, Ford, CVS Health, Stellantis, Optum, Verizon, Cisco, Bayer, IKEA, GSK, Schneider Electric, Novartis, and BP. We checked the top 24 by headcount and every one returned a live Airtable domain verification record with its own token.

What industries use Airtable the most?

No industry exceeds 4.79%, which is typical of a horizontal tool. Software Development leads at 4.79%, followed by Non-profit Organizations at 4.50%, Technology and Internet at 3.98%, and Venture Capital and Private Equity at 3.44%. Advertising, financial services, IT consulting, and business consulting each account for roughly 3.2% to 3.4%.

How does Airtable compare to Notion?

Airtable leads Notion by 777 domains, 10,987 against 10,210. Both are detected through vendor-specific domain verification records, so the comparison is fair. The differences are in who buys them: Airtable reaches far more non-profits, 4.50% against 0.97%, while Notion skews younger, with 72.14% of customers founded since 2010 against Airtable's 61.33%.

How do you detect which companies use Airtable?

We detect Airtable two ways. The primary signal is a DNS TXT record in the form airtable-verification with an account-specific token, published by an administrator to prove domain ownership. The secondary signal is a public link from the site to an Airtable base or form. In a 70-domain live sample, 51 carried the verification record.

Does detection mean a company actively uses Airtable?

Not necessarily. A domain verification record proves an organization formally claimed its domain in Airtable, which usually accompanies single sign-on or managed accounts. It does not measure how many bases exist or how often staff open them, and the record can outlive the subscription that created it. Treat these as confirmed accounts, not activity.

What technologies do companies use alongside Airtable?

WordPress appears on 32.22% of Airtable domains and Google Analytics on 62.87%. Squarespace stands out at 6.80%, the highest share of any comparable tool we measured and more than double Notion's 3.11%. At the enterprise end, Atlassian appears on 16.58%, DocuSign on 9.23%, and Zoom on 8.90% of those same domains.

Do non-profits use Airtable?

Yes, and they are Airtable's second largest vertical at 4.50% of its customer base. That is well above every comparable tool measured the same way, including Notion at 0.97% and Miro at about 1.56%. Grant pipelines, volunteer rosters, and program tracking are workloads that outgrow a spreadsheet without justifying custom software or engineers.

Do venture capital firms use Airtable?

Venture capital and private equity firms make up 3.44% of Airtable customers, the highest share among the nine comparable tools we measured, against 2.16% for Notion and just 0.21% for Atlassian and Miro. In our live sample, these firms typically ran Airtable forms as inbound deal-flow intake connected to a shared pipeline base.

How old are the companies using Airtable?

About 61.33% were founded in 2010 or later and 24.10% in the 2020s, but Airtable is less startup-weighted than its closest peers, with Notion at 72.14% and Slack at 71.51%. Roughly a quarter of Airtable customers predate 2000 and 7.94% were founded before 1960, matching the industrial names at the top.

How many companies stopped using Airtable?

We have observed 560 domains drop Airtable since we began tracking it in March 2026, against 10,987 still active. We would not read that as a churn rate. Because detection leans on a DNS record that survives until someone removes it, this measures how often organizations tidy their DNS more than how often they cancel.

Can I get a list of companies using Airtable?

Yes. This page publishes the largest verified Airtable customers with industry, headcount, location, and founding year, and the full dataset covers 9,472 named organizations. Because detection rests on domain verification rather than a copyable script tag, the resulting list carries noticeably fewer false positives than embed-based technology lists typically do.
